The same press and left-wing talking heads who claim that showing child victims of Islamic terror attacks is âinsensitiveâ are all too willing to share photos of child victims who supposedly died because evil western countries have borders.
âItâs OK when we do it.â
The left has found its new âAylan Kurdiâ â a toddler who washed up dead on a beach in Turkey and whose dead body photo was ruthlessly exploited by progressives to demand western Europe throw open its borders to Middle Eastern migrants.
The latest image shows a man and his 23 month old daughter lying face down dead along the bank of the Rio Grande.

It is now being breathlessly shared by leftists are yet more proof that the Nazi-like Trump administration has enacted policies that are killing brown people en masse.
In reality, as Raheem Kassam points out, the fault for this poor childâs death lies firmly at the feet of numerous entities, none of which are Trump or his administration.
â The childâs parents for making her cross âsome of the most perilous terrain on the continentâ.
â Mexico for allowing their country to become a conduit for mass illegal immigration.
â Criminal gangs who are responsible for much of the instability in the region.
â Democrats who incentivize illegal immigration by refusing to support sensible border policies.
â Open borders activists funded by NGOs and corporations who also incentivize dangerous illegal immigration.
The most humanitarian way to prevent tragic scenes like the one above is to disincentivize illegal border crossings.
Matteo Salvini did it and more than halved the number of migrant deaths in the Mediterranean.
If Democrats actually cared about kids dying, theyâd help President Trump build the wall.
Do leftists actually want to save the lives of children, or do they want to continue to exploit photos of their dead bodies to score political points and usurp power?
The answer is obvious.

The latest mind-boggling trend in California cities plagued with crime is actually paying gang members not to commit violent crimes.
After a 3-2 vote at Thursdayâs city council meeting, the local government of Fresno is set to authorize city leaders such as Mayor Lee Brand and Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer to determine whether the Advance Peace program should be implemented.
If city officials determine that the program is viable, they could be budgeted up to $200,000 in taxpayer dollars to dole out to gang members as a supposed deterrent against committing shootings and other violent crimes. They hope to raise private funding as well to further pay off these thugs.
âI donât think we should be spending $200,000 or $300,000 over the next five years on a program that certainly has value, but we have a lot of needs in the city of Fresno, it always comes down to priorities,â said Councilmember Garry Bredefeld, who voted against the proposal.
This measure was proposed by Councilmember Miguel Arias, who believes that tax revenue from the increased âcannabis activityâ going on within the city following the legalization of marijuana would help pay for the costs of the program.
âIn essence, Advanced Peace identifies the most active shooters in Fresno and enrolls them into a prevention program to help them with mentorship and job placement,â Arias said.
Chief Dyer points to the Mayorâs Gang Prevention Initiative and Operation Ceasefire as initiatives that are already in place that make this program unnecessary.
âI am philosophically opposed to giving money to any gang member,â Dyer said.
Fresno would not be the first city in California to implement such a program. The city of Richmond is where the Advance Peace program debuted, and it has since spread to Sacramento and Stockton.
Richmond gives gang members who claim they have given up violence stipends ranging from $300 to $1,000 per month. Sacramento is pumping $1.5 million into their version of the program, with Advance Peace matching that total in privately raised capital.
There is no data showing these programs are effective in combating crime, but that hasnât stopped liberal cities throughout California from pushing them anyway. Fresno may be the latest city to initiate a program that very well may subsidize violent gang activity in their communities.

Those policies have created a âhorrifyingâ situation at the border, Biden wrote, and have taken âa wrecking ballâ to US relations in Latin America.
Ever eager to wield his credentials as vice president under the Barack Obama administration, Biden boasts that he was involved in crafting the prior governmentâs policies toward Latin America, but Obamaâs legacy on immigration reflects dismally on a candidate running on a pro-migrant platform.
Biden tells rich donors not to worry, ânothing would fundamentally changeâ if he won

Throughout President Obamaâs two terms, more people were deported than under any previous administration, according to government data, earning him the unfortunate title of âDeporter in Chief.â During Obamaâs first four years in office, nearly 400,000 people were deported per year, topping out in 2012 at over 409,000.
Despite Trumpâs reputation as a superhawk on the border, his presidency has seen fewer deportations per year than his predecessor, with around 250,000 in 2017 and 2018, and just over 280,000 so far this year.
Critics point out that the separation of migrant children from their families at the border has become more common since Trump took office, but that policy, too, is a carryover from the Obama years. A photo of caged migrant children went viral last year and prompted fierce criticism of President Trumpâs inhumane border policies â yet the photo dates to 2014, smack in the middle of Obamaâs second term.

Some of the very cages Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently compared to âconcentration campsâ were, indeed, constructed under President Obamaâs purview. The holding facility in McAllen, Texas, the largest in the country and a creation of the Obama administration, has become emblematic of the problems plaguing migrant detention centers. With ill-equipped health facilities and overcrowded cells, the McAllen center was forced to temporarily close its doors earlier this year amid a deadly viral outbreak.
On âthe Wallâ, Biden will also struggle to set himself apart from the president. While the former VP condemns President Trumpâs wall proposal as âdivorced from reality,â Biden was a vocal supporter of the Secure Fence Act, a project that spent $1 billion building a 700-mile barrier along the border with Mexico.
A recently surfaced video from 2006 captures Biden proudly telling an audience âI voted for a fence,â as he warns of dangerous drug traffickers crossing the border. Later in the clip Biden highlights his âtough on crimeâ record, bragging âI’m the guy who wrote the crime bill, I’m the guy who wrote the national drug trafficking bill, I’m the guy who wrote the law that set up a drug czar.â
Biden caught in immigration hypocrisy after rediscovered clip shows him demanding border fence

If Biden wants to position himself as the open borders, pro-migrant candidate in the 2020 race, heâll have to do a better job of hiding his record.

Actress Nancy Lee Grahn, who is verified on Twitter, tweeted, âTrump administration is forcing children 2 sleep on cement floor with an aluminum blanket & lights on all night. Sarah Fabian from DOJ argued in court that it was good enough & soap was unnecessary. Companies making 750 a kid a day to torture them.â

However, the photos which illustrated the tweet, taken inside a Border Patrol facility in Tucson, Arizona, are from August 2015.
A journalist responded to Grahnâs tweet by pointing out that it appeared she deliberately cut out the surveillance camera time stamp to mislead her audience.
âQuick question for you: did you deliberately crop out the date on these photos, was it accidental or did you never see any dates and you only had cropped versions all the way through?â asked Brian Cates.

âNote that the bottom of the black redaction box in the upper left corner of the uncropped photo is still VISIBLE in the cropped version that is in your tweet,â he added.

âDid you deliberately make that crop of the date on the photo, or did you never have an uncropped version and youâre only NOW learning the photos are from 2015, when Barack Obama and Jeh Johnson were in office?â asked Cates.

Despite being seemingly caught red handed posting deliberate fake news, Grahn still has the tweet pinned to her page. It has received over 30,000 retweets.
A 2016 NPR article also confirms that the photos were from 2015, but this didnât stop them from going viral on Reddit.

A post titled âthe new regimeâ included another tweet alongside the images which stated, âI swore I saw someone say it was wrong to compare these to concentration camps, but this is in fact what it is.â
The Reddit post has nearly 60,000 upvotes despite it being completely fake news.
This also serves as a reminder that the so-called detention and separation border policy of the Trump administration was actually an Obama administration policy.

Thatâs the logical consequence of her claim that detention facilities at the southern border are âconcentration campsâ â because the same facilities existed under Obama.
Breitbart News first broke the news in 2014 that large numbers of children were being âwarehoused by authoritiesâ after crossing the border illegally.
Few Democrats showed any concern, or criticized the Obama administration for its policies â even when photos emerged of children being detained in facilities where they had been separated from adults by chain-link fences.
Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats continue to hurl accusations of âkids in cagesâ at the Trump administration, but few said anything five years ago â even after the mainstream media documented the Obama administrationâs policies.
Now, Ocasio-Cortez has decided that such facilities â which cannot accommodate the surge of migrants, partly because Democrats refuse to fund the Trump administrationâs border security efforts adequately â are âconcentration camps.â She has even used the phrase ânever again,â popularly associated with the Nazi Holocaust against Jews.
And when faced with criticism, from Yad Vashem or even friendly CNN and MSNBC, she has refused to apologize.
But since Ocasio-Cortez is digging in, rejecting any criticism of her false and offensive comparison, it is perhaps fair to let her analogy run its course. She is accusing the first black president, and still the most important figure in the Democratic Party, of running âconcentration camps.â
The Lyndon LaRouche fans who crashed Tea Party rallies with posters of Obama wearing a Hitler mustache were considered a lunatic fringe; AOC is apparently eager to join them.

Lemon argued that Trump should be censored because the Holocaust began with âlittle lies.â
âThink about Hitler,â Lemon urged, following Trumpâs huge rally earlier in the week.
âIf you could look back in history, would you say âwell, Iâm so glad that that person was allowed a platform so that they could spread their hate, and propaganda, and lies.â He asked.
The host also called Trump a racist, claiming that the fact he has not apologised to five black men wrongly accused of rape 30 years ago proves it.
âHow the president feels about the Central Park Five, that can be a life or death issue for people like me,â Lemon claimed.
Lemonâs CNN colleague Chris Cuomo said the comparison of Trump to Hitler is a step too far.
âComparing anything to an extreme like a Hitler weakens the argument because you are now taking a guy who says things you donât like and comparing him to a genocidal maniac,â Cuomo said.
The comparison comes amid a furor surrounding comments made by Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who compared border detention facilities to Nazi concentration camps.
Ocasio-Cortez refused to apologize for the comparison Wednesday, instead doubling down and declaring âIf that makes you uncomfortable, fight the camps â not the nomenclature.â
