ADL: Google Search ‘Redirect’ Program Built to Fight ISIS Will Now Be Used On Americans

By Chris Menahan

Google-funded Moonshot CVE is working together with the Anti-Defamation League and the Google Jigsaw-partnered Gen Next Foundation to “redirect” Google searches related to “extremist narratives” — such as the idea that there is a “‘European’ identity” that is “under threat” — the president of the ADL announced Monday.

ADL head Jonathan Greenblatt wrote in a statement:

[T]he Anti-Defamation League is partnering with Moonshot CVE and the Gen Next Foundation to counter white supremacist and jihadist activity online. The program, dubbed the Redirect Method, will use advertising to provide individuals who search Google for violent extremist material with content that exposes the falsehoods of extremist narratives, providing searchers the choice of an off-ramp to radicalization.

Targeting content potential extremists search for — rather than focusing, for example, on what they post to social media — can directly address their harmful online behavior and desires. By providing them with credible sources, we hope to decrease the impact of extremist content and increase the spread of the truth, such as, there is no one “European” identity that is under threat. In this way, we speak directly to those who may be at risk of radicalization, and we incentivize re-thinking those ideologies with accurate information.

Greenblatt went on to explain how Moonshot/Google’s program built to fight ISIS is now going to be used on Americans.

Moonshot and Google previously launched a Redirect Method program for ISIS-related searches, which found that those who searched for ISIS content were highly likely to engage with the more constructive, non-violent content that was offered. This led to several thousand views of constructive materials in place of searches related to Islamist extremism. Our new project builds on this success while pulling from ADL’s subject matter expertise in extremist codewords and unique insights to lead the project.

Greenblatt finished his piece by saying the program built to fight ISIS is not about “inhibit[ing] free speech” but “actually improves the online marketplace of ideas.”

Some people might hear about this and raise concerns that it could inhibit free speech. In fact, the opposite is the case. Internet content skews toward the virality of controversy, polluting the marketplace of ideas with vitriolic speech. The Redirect Method actually improves the online marketplace of ideas, not by limiting any speech, but by ensuring that hateful propaganda and intellectually honest information are presented side-by-side.

Last month, Greenblatt praised Google-owned YouTube after they purged thousands of videos and channels for advocating “bigoted ideologies” but insisted that “more needs to be done” to keep “hate” off their platform.

Greenblatt said in the past the ADL is working with Google and Facebook to “tweak their algorithms” and “redirect” searches through AI to protect people’s right to “not be harassed or hated.”

Two weeks ago, Tucker Carlson reported on how the Koch brothers are teaming up with the ADL, George Soros and other Big Tech companies to “fight online extremism.”

“The Charles Koch Institute will be holding a summit with the Anti-Defamation League and executives from major tech companies, including Pinterest, AirBNB, Patreon, and Mozilla,” Tucker Carlson said. “The stated purpose of the meeting is to formulate, quote: ‘best practices on the fight against hate and extremism online.’ You know exactly what that really means: censorship of your views. For the left, fighting ‘extremism’ always entails crushing normal conservatives.”

Last year, Greenblatt presented Apple CEO Tim Cook with an award after he banned Alex Jones and cracked down on free speech.

As MintPressNews’ Whitney Webb reported last month, the ADL is also working together with Google on an algorithmic censorship program called “The Trust Project,” which aims to effectively whitelist mainstream media propaganda outlets and blacklist all websites which don’t satisfy the desires of their censors.

There’s no better way to “improve the online marketplace of ideas” than by blacklisting dissident websites and censoring every voice which runs counter narrative!

Female High School Athlete Claims Coach Retaliated Against Her Because Her Mother Complained About Transgender Policy

By Cristina Laila

Selina Soule, a high school female track and field runner in Connecticut says her coach has retaliated against her because her mother complained about the transgender policy that is destroying women’s sports.

In February of this year, Connecticut transgender sprinters won 1st and 2nd place at the state indoor track championships.

Connecticut is one of 17 states that allows transgender athletes to compete without any type of restrictions – it’s open season and high school girls are the ones suffering because of this insanity.

And now the young girls are being retaliated against for daring to speak out after being robbed of opportunities to compete in front of college recruiters.

“We all know the outcome of the race before it even starts; it’s demoralizing,” Selina Soule said. “I fully support and am happy for these athletes for being true to themselves. They should have the right to express themselves in school, but athletics have always had extra rules to keep the competition fair.”

Miss Soule says that her coach has forced her to perform out of the ordinary workouts and has forbidden her from competing in any high school track and field events unless she completes the workouts.

The College Fix reported:

Biological males took first place in 13 out of 14 events for females, and 23 out of 28 when including second-place awards, in seven state-level competitions. They won “51 opportunities to participate in a higher-level state competition,” compared to 31 for girls.

The girls who filed the complaint also allege that the CIAC has participated in intimidation and retaliation against those who oppose the male-inclusive policy.

One of the mothers of the unnamed complainant repeatedly complained to the CIAC about the “discriminatory impact” that the new policy had on her daughter. The CIAC did not provide a “substantive response,” and Connecticut school officials attempted to dissuade her from filing a Title IX complaint, according to the complaint.

Soule contends that her mother’s outspoken opposition to the policy led her coaches to mistreat her.

Her track coach made her perform workouts that are uncommon for short-distance sprinters like her, “and has forbidden her from competing in any high school track and field event unless she completes them,” the complaint reads.

Another coach told Soule and her father that if a college recruiter asked about her, “he would not be able to give a good report about her.”

The complaint cites an anonymous female student quoted in The Daily Signal on her fear of retaliation for speaking out.

“There’s really nothing else you can do except get super frustrated and roll your eyes, because it’s really hard to even come out and talk in public just because … just immediately you’ll just be shut down,” she said.

FOOTAGE OF AOC THREATENING, VERBALLY ABUSING BP AGENTS EXISTS – BORDER PATROL UNION VP

Footage of AOC Threatening, Verbally Abusing BP Agents Exists - Border Patrol Union VP

Video exposing Ocasio-Cortez’s lies will likely be released soon

By Kelen McBreen

Border Patrol Union VP Hector Garza says CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) has footage of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) “threatening and being very abusive with the Border Patrol agents.”

During an interview with Fox’s Neil Cavuto on Tuesday, Garza responded to AOC’s Monday visit to two CBP facilities where she claimed she was “physically and sexually threatened” by officers and that detainees are forced to drink from toilets.

“Speaking to agents that were at that facility, they say that AOC walked in there beginning a war against our agents,” he said.

Garza continued, saying, “And just to let you know, Neil, there is footage where Ocasio-Cortez is actually going up to our agents and being very threatening and being very abusive with the border patrol agents. And that video is in the hands of CBP right now, the headquarters and we hope that CBP releases that footage.”

Infowars covered witness testimony claiming AOC was yelling and screaming at Border Patrol agents in an article on Monday and now, it appears those allegations were accurate.

Below is a video clip of Ocasio-Cortez repeating the claim that women were drinking from toilets and then rolling up her window to avoid answering a reporter who asked if she actually saw that happen.

Many internet users were quick to point out the toilets detainees are supposedly drinking out of are likely water fountain commodes, such as the ones seen in this picture from a Tucson, Arizona facility.

Border Patrol needs to release the footage as soon as possible to vindicate its officers and to expose Ocasio-Cortez’s political agenda.

Democrats: Love and Aid for Illegal Migrants, Nothing for Americans

Democrats promised aid and love for illegal migrants — but did not mention border protections or the concerns of ordinary Americans — during a raucous Monday visit to the Clint Border Patrol Station, just two miles from the Mexican border in Texas.

“This is about the preservation of our humanity, and this is about seeing every single person there as a member of your own family,” Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley told protesters and the assembled media on Monday. “We love you and that we will never stop fighting for your dignity, for your humanity, and for the preservation of your family,” she said towards the legally detained migrants.

“We need to be spending money on helping individuals with healthcare needs, with housing, with food, not with all these enforcement efforts that we are seeing today, that are separating families,” said Texas Rep. Marc Veasey.

“The oversight visit was intended to “ensure we protect these young people … We will absolutely not shrink from that,” said Texas Rep. Pete Aguilar.

Democrats displayed emotional empathy for the Central American illegal aliens who were allegedly held in cramped cells and were provided with limited showers. But the Democrats did not mention the many Americans who are seeing the many migrants come through Congress’s loopholes to hold down blue-collar salaries, drive up rents in modest neighborhoods, and add more chaotic diversity to their kids’ schools.

“I will never forget the image of being in a cell and seeing 15 women, tears coming down their faces, as they talked about being separated from their children, about having running water,” said California Rep. Judy Chu. “I really came here for the kids … [who] are not being treated the best way they can be. ”

Women “wept openly in our arms … because of the trauma they are experiencing, and they don’t know where their children are,” said Pressley.

Massachusetts Rep. Lori Trahan said she was “brought to my knees in tears” by seeing young girls with flu being quarantined in a separate room. The girls were fed cheeseburgers and juice, she said. “We want high-quality care for children in our custody,” she said.

“What we saw today was unconscionable,” said New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. “No child should ever be separated from their parent … No women should ever be locked up in a pen when they have done no harm to another human being.”

The display of sympathy for migrants spotlights progressives’ easy empathy for distant foreigners. That “telescopic charity” contrasts with conservatives’ nuanced expectation that people show most concern for the circles of people closest to themselves  — families, then neighbors, then fellow citizens, for example — while also offering some sympathy and aid to strangers.

Those two contrasting visions were spotlighted by the Democrats’ first two TV debates when nearly all Democrat candidates promised to either decriminalize migration by strangers or to provide taxpayer-funded health care to an apparently endless flow of illegal migrants. Democrats did not discuss the impact of those policies on Americans, including traditional Democrat voters.

In between their Monday speeches promising empathy for foreign migrants, the Democratic Representatives repeatedly profiled a vocal group of pro-border Americans as uncaring and hateful.

“One of the things we see in action, whether it is a Facebook page or the chants you’re hearing today, is a dehumanization of people that is very dangerous to our country,” said Rep. Veronica Escobar to the loud group of pro-border demonstrators. “The minute we lose our own humanity, we’ve got into a very dark place, and unfortunately our country has gone into a very dark place,” she said.

“I will outwork your hate, I will outlove your hate, I will always put my country first, unlike what you all do,” Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib told the American protesters. While pointing to Rep. Escobar, Tlaib shouted that “you all can say whatever you want, but this woman cares about those children.”

Rep. Veasey also tried to blame President Donald Trump for the migrants’ detention even though the migrants choose to cross the U.S. border. The detention is “shameful, and it has been exacerbated by the policies of this President of the United States, Steven Miller, and the other people around here that have used people as pawns in a game instead of working with Congress to try to pass real Comprehensive Immigration Reform,” he said.

Pressley ended her passionate speech about her love for migrants with an apparent threat to the American protesters:

Keep yelling … vile rhetoric for vile actions, hateful rhetoric for hateful behavior, racist words and venom for racist policies … I am tired of the health and the safety, the humanity and the full freedom of black and brown children, being negotiated and compromised and moderated. We need a system that works, that is humane and that is compassionate and that keeps families together. I learned a long time ago that when change happens, it is either because people see the light or they feel the fire. Today we are lifting up these stories in the hope that you will see the light. And if you don’t, we will bring the fire.

Pro-migration supporters cheered Pressley’s suggested threat.

Immigration by the Numbers:

Each year, roughly four million young Americans join the workforce after graduating from high school or university.

But the federal government then imports about 1.1 million legal immigrants and refreshes a resident population of roughly 1.5 million white-collar visa workers — includingapproximately one million H-1B workers — and approximately 500,000 blue-collar visa workers.

The government also prints out more than one million work permits for foreigners, tolerates about eight million illegal workers, and does not punish companies for employing the hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants who sneak across the border or overstay their legal visas each year, despite the rising loss of jobs to automation.

This policy of inflating the labor supply boosts economic growth for investors because it ensures that employers do not have to compete for American workers by offering higher wages and better working conditions.

Flooding the market with cheap, foreign, white-collar graduates and blue-collar labor also shifts enormous wealth from young employees towards older investors, even as it also widens wealth gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, and hurts children’s schools and college educations. It also pushes Americans away from high-tech careers and sidelines millions of marginalized Americans, including many who are now struggling with fentanyl addictions. The labor policy also moves business investment and wealth from the Heartland to the coastal cities, explodes rents and housing costs, shrivels real estate values in the Midwest, and rewards investors for creating low-tech, labor-intensive workplaces.

STAFFER FOR MAYOR PETE CALLED FOR URINE ATTACK ON REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN MATT GAETZ

Staffer For Mayor Pete Called For Urine Attack on Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz

“Is this what your campaign stands for?”

JULY 1, 2019

A staffer working for Mayor Pete Buttigieg called for Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz to be attacked with urine.

Gaetz tweeted about the comment a day after journalist Andy Ngo was viciously assaulted with quick drying cement by Antifa criminals in Portland.

“Hey ?@PeteButtigieg? – this is a reply from a member of your campaign inciting (rather gross) violence against me after someone previously threw a drink on me. Is this what your campaign stands for?” he asked.

Screen Shot 2019-07-01 at 11.15.55 AM

The comment, which was made on Facebook by Samantha Pollara, was in relation to a milkshake attack on Gaetz on June 1 by 25-year-old Amanda L. Kondrat’yev, who was later charged with battery.

“Please, please let it be urine next time…,” commented Pollara.

Just as many on the left justified or celebrated the attack on Andy Ngo, which left him hospitalized with brain bleed, the June 1 milkshake assault on Gaetz was also lauded.

The Orlando Weekly said Gaetz had a “laundry list of milkshakable offenses” and called the person who filmed the assault on him a “true hero”.
