Democrats Warn That American People May Tamper With Next Election

By The Babylon Bee
WASHINGTON, D.C.—In his opening statement at Trump’s impeachment trial, Rep. Adam Schiff reminded the Senate of their solemn duty and the gravity of just what it is they will be discussing at the trial.
Schiff warned that if Trump is not impeached, the American people may have a chance to tamper with the next election.
“If President Trump is not impeached, the American people might get a say in who is president,” Schiff said gravely. “We simply can’t allow that to happen. We must diligently defend our electoral process against electoral outcomes we do not like. If that means seizing power through a sham impeachment trial, so be it.”
“When the Founders wrote that founding document thing, they never imagined there would be electoral outcomes that Democrats did not agree with.”
Democrats also said they even have hard evidence that the 2016 election was compromised by Republicans voting for Trump.
“We know this horrible outcome could happen, because it’s already happened once before.”ELE

Video: Schiff Has Teary-Eyed Meltdown in Thursday Closing Statement, Trashes Giuliani, Says Trump Must Be Removed Because He Might Work With Russia and China to Win Re-Election

January 23, 2020
Lead House Manager Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) made a ‘pitch for the angels’ in his Thursday night closing statement at the Senate impeachment trial of President Trump, working himself into an Oscar worthy teary-eyed meltdown as he warned senators what Trump might do to win re-election if he was not removed from office even if they decide he is guilty. Schiff repeatedly said Trump is “dangerous”.
Schiff said Trump should be removed because he chose to work with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a former top federal prosecutor and crime fighting mayor, for help on Ukraine corruption rather than the FBI or the intelligence agencies (hmm….work with the same agencies that tried to frame Trump in the Russia collusion hoax or work with someone you trust, tough choice.) Schiff said that makes Trump “dangerous”.
Schiff warned of Russia and China committing acts to help Trump win the 2020 election, with his blessing, even though Trump was cleared of the phony Russia collusion hoax in the 2016 election. Schiff said Trump might reward China for helping him by giving them a favorable trade deal. It was an incredible trashing of the President and Giuliani on the Senate floor by Schiff.
For good measure, Schiff invoked Lt. Col. Vindman and the old country.
Video clips of varying lengths below:
Full length:
“SCHIFF: “Whether we can say it publicly, we all know what we’re dealing with here with this president. Donald Trump chose Rudy Giuliani over his own intelligence agencies… that makes him dangerous… why would anyone in their right mind believe Giuliani over Christopher Wray?”
“SCHIFF: “Let’s say [Russia] starts blatantly interfering in our election again to help Trump. Can you have the least bit of confidence he’ll stand up & protect our national interest over his own? You know you can’t, which makes him dangerous to this country. You know you can’t.”
SCHIFF: “If right doesn’t matter, we’re lost …here, right is supposed to matter. It’s what’s made us the greatest nation on earth. No constitution can protect us if right doesn’t matter anymore …this is why if you find him guilty, you must remove him. Because right matters.”
The House Managers have one more day left to make their case. The trial resumes at 1 p.m. EST with the Managers having nearly eight hours left of their allotted 24 hours.

Soros pumps $1bn into ‘global education network’ to fight ‘climate change & dictators’ like Trump, Xi & Modi

Billionaire George Soros has unveiled a new ambitious project: creating a global university network that would save the world from climate change and rescue democracy itself from ‘dictators’ like US President Donald Trump.
The 89-year-old grey eminence of liberal globalism announced “the most important project of my life” on Thursday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Describing the current state of the world as dire, with the strongest powers “in the hands of would-be or actual dictators,” Soros said he would put forth $1 billion towards the creation of the Open Society University Network, revolving around his own Central European University (CEU).

Soros revealed that the CEU has already partnered up with Bard College in the US and a network of European social science schools called CIVICA, which includes the London School of Economics and the Paris Institute of Political Studies, also known as Sciences Po. He is seeking to expand the network into something “truly global” in the coming years.

The announcement came as part of Soros’ meandering speech to the gathering of global elites, which painted a dire picture of the world in the hands of “would-be or actual dictators” – he singled out Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping and India’s Narendra Modi by name – and paragons of “open society” such as the European Union being defeated by the UK decision to vote in a pro-Brexit government.
Soros described Trump as a “con man and the ultimate narcissist who wants the world to revolve around him,” accusing the US leader of wanting to “impose his alternative reality not only on his followers but on reality itself.” Just moments later, however, he praised Trump’s hard-line China policy and lamented that it does not go far enough.
The Hungarian-born billionaire held up climate change as a possible rallying cry of the “open society” adherents. He also praised the student-led protests in Hong Kong, holding them up as an example of what young people around the world can do when properly motivated.
This was the lead-in to his university project reveal, through which Soros hopes to unite all “academically excellent but politically endangered scholars” across the globe, whatever that means.
Continuing his crusade against social media, which he also launched in Davos two years ago, Soros slammed Facebook as having “a kind of informal mutual assistance operation” with Trump.
“Facebook will work together to re-elect Trump, and Trump will work to protect Facebook so that this situation cannot be changed and it makes me very concerned about the outcome for 2020,” he said, according to Bloomberg.
“This is just plain wrong,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said when asked about Soros’ comments, for which the ‘Open Society’ magnate did not offer any evidence. Soros has previously funded Facebook’s third-party “fact checker” programs officially designed to “defend democracy.”
While claiming to champion democracy and “open society,” Soros has used massive amounts of money to influence national and local politics in the US, giving $5 million so far to the Democrats’ 2020 efforts to unseat Trump but also bankrolling local prosecutors with radical agendas.

Democrats’ push to impeach Trump is just the latest chapter of US Civil War 2.0

By Robert Bridge
The US is more divided today than at any time since the historic war between North and South, and whether or not the Democrats vote to impeach Trump, Americans won’t be spared a political storm looming on the horizon.
Today, millions of Washington watchers around the world are asking the same question: What happens if the Democrats go ahead and bring articles of impeachment against President Donald J. Trump? The answer is twofold, and just might be the shortest story ever told: At first nothing, and then, everything. The end.
The reason nothing will happen immediately requires no degree in political science to appreciate. Should the Democrats commit the mother of all political screw-ups by voting to impeach Trump, all on the basis of hearsay, gossip and maybe reading tea leaves, the circus moves next door to the Senate, where Republicans hold a majority. This is where House efforts to impeach Trump will inevitably smack into a brick wall and disintegrate.
That much was made clear earlier this week when Minority Leader Chuck Schumer demanded to call current and former White House officials to appear on the witness stand for stage two of the Democratic show trials. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was having none of it.
“I’m not an impartial juror,” McConnell retorted to applause from Senators, many of whom were thwarted in their own efforts to call witnesses and ask questions when the Democrats controlled the hearings. “This is a political process,” he added.

So, if the inevitable prospect of certain defeat in the Senate won’t stop the Democratic impeachment train, then maybe the knowledge that the majority of Americans oppose their plans will make them reconsider, right? Think again. Not even a USA Today/Suffolk University poll, which shows that Americans oppose by 51-45% any effort by the Senate to remove Trump, up from October when the margin was 47-46%, has deterred the Democrats from their witch hunt.
Trump practically thanked the Democrats for the early Christmas gift when he said impeachment is “a very sad thing for our country, but it seems to be very good for me politically.” Indeed it has been. If elections were held today, Trump would likely emerge victorious against any of his Democratic rivals.
With regards to the economy, Wall Street appears to be on steroids, smashing records almost weekly. All of this points to smooth sailing for Trump up to the 2020 presidential elections.
Despite things looking favorably, Trump is not out of the woods just yet. The reason is because the Democrats, due to their chummy relationship with the media, are still able to control the narrative. That much is clear considering how House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff has been dominating the impeachment proceedings without much criticism from the press. The initial impeachment inquiry was held without transparency in the dank basement of Congress, far away from public scrutiny. He also staunchly refused to release the identity of the so-called whistleblower, who is alleged to have heard secondhand information about the now-famous call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
However, since any impeachment trial promises to be a major televised event, the Democrats will not be able to leak to the media their handpicked breadcrumbs of information. Everything will be out in the open and discussed 24/7.

How to explain the Democrat obsession with removing Trump?
First, the Democrats’ chances of removing Trump from office are somewhere between zero and none, and they are certainly aware of that fact. Second, impeachment is proving unpopular with the majority of Americans, and that must be particularly worrisome in a major election season. Finally, the Democrats risk throwing their top presidential contender, Joe Biden, under the bus by their efforts.
Mitch McConnell and his fellow Republicans will certainly investigate how Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, for example, had come to serve on the board of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings, reportedly being paid up to $50,000 a month despite having no experience in the Ukrainian energy sector. No less interesting is the fact that Joe Biden essentially forced Ukraine to fire its prosecutor general as a precondition for releasing $1 billion dollars in US aid. In the event that Ukrainian officials are called to testify in the Senate during the impeachment trial, it could turn out to be very ugly for the Biden clan.

Considering that the Democrats have absolutely nothing to gain by trying to impeach Trump, another possible motive must be considered, which is that the Democrats are desperately trying to protect themselves. Unknown to many, high-level Democrats, intelligence officers, and former White House officials have been under investigation for many months by Attorney General Will Barr and federal prosecutor John Durham. The reason has little to do with Ukraine, and everything to do with Trump’s promise to “drain the swamp.”
In a nutshell, Barr and Dunham will soon be releasing their highly anticipated attorney general’s report, which will determine whether the FBI had submitted false documents for obtaining a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump administration in 2016. The word ‘treason’ is even being whispered on Capitol Hill. The investigation involves a mind boggling array of top characters who played a role in creating the Steele Dossier (home of the famous pee tape), a largely debunked ‘intelligence’ document that ultimately failed to prove a link between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.
Last week, after Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a preliminary report that shows the FBI committed numerous mistakes in applying for the FISA warrant, including falsifying a document, former FBI Director James Comey back-pedaled on his earlier claims that the FBI had acted appropriately. “I was wrong. I was overconfident in our procedures. It’s important that a leader be accountable and transparent,” he told Chris Wallace of Fox News.
But that is not the end of the story. Not by a long shot.
Durham, who has had access to foreign governments and US intelligence agencies not available to Horowitz, played down the IG report, suggesting fireworks down the road when he commented “last month we advised the Inspector General that we do not agree with some of the report’s conclusions as to predication and how the FBI case was opened.”

Needless to say, Barr and Durham’s report has got a lot of people in high places very nervous. This could make the impeachment process a top priority in that it provides cover and would look as if Trump were attacking the Democrats simply out of rage if he acts. Clearly, the Democrats, with their groundless Russiagate theories and now an impeachment scandal, are desperately trying to buy time to avoid their own impending doom.
In other words, there is a real civil war taking place behind the scenes in Washington, and Trump’s impeachment is just one small part of the action. What is happening now in Washington DC between the Republicans and Democrats is just mere dress rehearsal for far more disasters down the road.
I just hope the costumes don’t end up being blue and gray, once again.

Virginia Democrats Threaten to Put Boots on the Ground if Police don’t Enforce Gun Grabs

By Jose Nino -12/17/2019
Democrat politicians in D.C. say that local police who refuse to enforce gun control bills likely to pass in Virginia should be subject to prosecution and even intimidation from the National Guard.
Following Democrats’ success at the polls in Virginia’s November elections, gun control legislation such as universal background checks, “assault weapons” bans, and red flag laws are back on the menu.
Grassroots gun organizations have teamed up with sheriffs across the state to form Second Amendment sanctuary counties, which have the explicit purpose of empowering law enforcement to protect the Second Amendment against any of the gun control bills passed in the Virginia state legislature.
So far, over 75 counties in Virginia have passed Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions in the state, with the latest being Spotsylvania County. The board of supervisors unanimously voted to approve a resolution stating that county police will not enforce state-level gun laws that infringe upon the Second Amendment.

Virginia Democrat officials, however, have another view about these law enforcement agents’ actions. They believe they will face consequences if they don’t carry out any law the legislature passes.
“I would hope they either resign in good conscience, because they cannot uphold the law which they are sworn to uphold, or they’re prosecuted for failure to fulfill their oath,” Democratic Virginia Congressman Gerry Connolly told the Washington Examiner of local county police who may not enforce laws that infringe upon on gun rights. “The law is the law. If that becomes the law, you don’t have a choice, not if you’re a sworn officer of the law.”
Democratic Congressman. Donald McEachin even suggested slashing state funds to counties that do not comply with any gun control laws passed by the Virginia legislature.
“They certainly risk funding, because if the sheriff’s department is not going to enforce the law, they’re going to lose money. The counties’ attorneys offices are not going to have the money to prosecute because their prosecutions are going to go down,” he stated.
McEachin also highlighted that Democrat Virginia Governor Ralph Northam could summon the National Guard, if things get really out of hand.
“And ultimately, I’m not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law,” he added. “That’s his call, because I don’t know how serious these counties are and how severe the violations of law will be. But that’s obviously an option he has.”
Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring pinned the blame on the “gun lobby” for moving numerous Second Amendment resolutions as a tactic to supposedly” scare” state residents.
“The resolutions that are being passed are being ginned up by the gun lobby to try to scare people. What we’re talking about here are laws that will make our communities and our streets safer,” Herring told CBS 6.
“So, when Virginia passes these gun safety laws that they will be followed, they will be enforced,” he continued.
Despite what the Virginia political class says, Virginia gun owners are taking cues from other grassroots activists across the nation who are using their counties and municipalities to revolt against federal and state level gun grabs.
The current two-party system has no reliable bloc that will automatically defend gun owners’ interests, so gun owners will have to get creative in trying to preserve their Second Amendment freedoms.
Saudi Student Hit with Illegal Firearms Charges in New Mexico Had ‘List of People He Planned to Kill’

America supports the Saudis but the relationship does not seem reciprocal.
A Saudi college student who was set to graduate from the University of New Mexico (UNM) was charged with possessing an illegal firearm, and law enforcement found a “list of people he planned to kill” that was allegedly made by the foreigner.
Hassan Alqahtani, a 27-year-old mechanical engineering student, reportedly had a kill list that included UNM professors. He is being charged with being a non-immigrant student visa holder in possession of a firearm in federal court, and additional charges may be levied because of the kill list.
According to an FBI affidavit, Alqahtani was in possession of a .380-caliber Cobra handgun that they found while searching his home last week. He is set to have his preliminary hearing today at the U.S. District Court in Albuquerque.
Alqahtani was supposed to receive his bachelor degree from UNM on Saturday, but instead spent the weekend behind bars. His family was set to take him to Disneyworld to celebrate, but his plans were upended due to the charges. Now he may be looking at years in prison.
The authorities believe that Alqahtani wanted to obtain more guns. The individual who tipped the FBI off to his illegal weapon also told them that he had a “list of people who he wants to kill before he leaves the U.S.” This suggests that he may have been recruiting others into his plot, and the FBI believes his girlfriend, Sierra Shafer, may be an accomplice.
“Shafer is possibly conspiring with Alqahtani to conceal his possession of the firearm,” an FBI agent wrote in the affidavit. “Shafer made additional statements that the two kept it out in the open in the bedroom and also used the firearm for protection when they traveled in Alqahtani’s vehicle.”
This comes just one week after Saudi National Mohammed Saeed Alshamrania opened fire at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, FL, murdering three people and wounding seven others:
The murderer responsible for gunning down 3 people and wounding seven others at Naval Air Station Pensacola was identified as Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani.
He is a Saudi national and a member of the Saudi Arabian military who was residing in the U.S. for aviation training.
The shooting is currently being investigated as a possible terror attack.
The assailant fired upon a classroom building where he killed at least three and wounded seven other people.
Two deputies responded to the murderer and took out the shooter, while sustaining gunshot wounds, according to a report from David Morgan, the Escambia County Sheriff. One of the officers was shot in the knee and the other in the shoulder. They are both expected to recover.
The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference once the dust cleared from the shooting.
Congressman Matt Gaetz immediately responded to this shooting by offering up an alternative to the current screening process that involves the entry of foreigners into the United States and who train at bases throughout the country.
While the U.S. may give aid and weapons to Saudi Arabia, it does not appear that the relationship is reciprocal. The Saudi government’s alleged role in the 9/11 terror attacks is more evidence that this foreign entanglement should be reconsidered.
