DOZENS OF POLICE OFFICERS INJURED IN MEMPHIS RIOTS

Dozens of Police Officers Injured in Memphis Riots

Violent protests in response to shooting of armed felon during arrest

JUNE 13, 2019

At least 25 officers were injured in violent clashes with protesters after US Marshals fatally shot a multiple-felony suspect during an arrest. Mounted police, a helicopter and tear gas were all required to disperse the crowd.

Two journalists were injured and six police officers were hospitalized in the clashes late Wednesday, according to Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland.

“Let me be clear – the aggression shown towards our officers and deputies tonight was unwarranted,” Strickland said in a statement.

The crowd launched bricks and rocks at Memphis police and multiple police vehicles were damaged; the windows of a local fire station were also smashed.

The violent clashes occurred in response to the reported death by shooting of a felony suspect, who was killed in a botched raid by US Marshals in North Memphis.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, agents attempted to arrest the suspect –who reportedly had multiple felony warrants–– but the man entered a car and began ramming police vehicles indiscriminately before exiting with a weapon.

Police opened fire and the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. It is, as yet, unknown how many shots were fired or how many times the suspect was hit. Memphis police were not directly involved in the shooting.

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) said it is “closely monitoring” the situation.

VOX ONCE GAVE PLATFORM TO YOUTUBE COMIC WHO TOLD GAYS “KILL YOURSELF”

Vox Once Gave Platform to YouTube Comic Who Told Gays "Kill Yourself"

“It’s OK when we do it”

JUNE 11,2019

Vox – the company that led the effort to ban Steven Crowder over his use of homophobic language – previously gave a platform to Filthy Frank, who produced a satirical YouTube video in which he sang the words, “you’re a giant f*ggot and you should kill yourself.”

Oh, the foul stench of hypocrisy.

Last week, Crowder has his channel de-monetized by YouTube after Vox’s Carlos Maza accused the comedian of using gay slurs against him, despite Maza using some of the same slurs against himself in previous comments.

This led to the #VoxAdPocalypse, with leftist outrage mobs pressuring YouTube to delete or de-monetize thousands of videos and channels which featured controversial material. The collateral damage even took out some historical archive channels, prompting educators to complain that they had been censored for “hatemongering”.

However, Vox’s disdain for homophobic language was noticeably absent when they gave Filthy Frank a pass during a 2017 profile video which amassed almost 3 million views, allowing his fans to make the argument that offensive and politically incorrect language was OK because Filthy Frank is just a comedy character.

“Filthy Frank pulls no punches and even openly says the word “faggot” without bleeping it,” writes Brandon Morse. “In one video, he comedically apologized — much like Crowder did — for saying certain things, especially against the LGBT community. This video ended with a song with the lyrics “… you’re gay now / you’re a giant faggot and you should kill yourself.”

“It should be striking everyone as weird that Vox was only too happy to celebrate comedic videos featuring a person encouraging gay people to kill themselves just two years ago. Suddenly it can’t help but grasp at its pearls at the mere suggestion that someone is “queer,” he adds.

As ever with the left, the motto always seems to be, “It’s OK when we do it.”

Tucker Carlson Speaks Out Against Targeted Murders Of White South African Farmers

By Chris Menahan

Tucker Carlson spoke out against the surge in “racist violence” targeting white farmers in South Africa and blasted the media for covering it up.

Last month, South African activist and mom Annette Kennealy, who spoke out against the massacre of white farmers in South Africa on social media, was brutally murdered on her farm in a hammer and knife attack.

On Sunday, another white South African farmer who also spoke out against farm attacks, Stefan Smit, was murdered on his farm by four men who broke into his home and shot him in front of his family and friends:

On Wednesday, a third farm attack occurred in the same area of the Cape Winelands, which the Western Cape government said has become “a hot spot for farm attacks.”

On the same day Smit was murdered, “an elderly couple’s house was broken into on a farm nearby.”

“Three armed suspects gained entry to the house and threatened the two occupants, both aged 70. They fled with personal belongings and are yet to be arrested.”

During a separate incident on Tuesday morning, a woman was attacked by robbers in her house on a Klapmuts farm. – EWN.co.za

Tucker reported on Smit’s murder Monday night and took the media to task for covering up this epidemic of racist violence.

From The Daily Caller, “Tucker Says ‘Skin Color Is The Central Motivation’ For Brutal South African Killings”:

While the Times had interviewed Smit for a March piece about the struggle for land in the country’s wine region, the outlet — in the same article — called claims that South African farmers were being murdered in large numbers and forced off their land “false or exaggerated allegations.”

Carlson began the segment by pointing out the “hundreds” of farmers killed, “some of whom after suffering horrific tortures.” And yet, the South African government has responded not by “protecting the farmers” but by working “to change the country laws in order to seize land without compensation.”

“And skin color is a central motivation here,” said the Fox News host. “Nobody denies that. Let’s be clear about what is happening. This is racist violence, as brutal and horrifying and indefensible as anything that happened under Apartheid.”

3 white women sue ‘totalitarian’ diversity-obsessed NYC school system for discrimination

Three white New York City school administrators are suing the Department of Education, claiming they were demoted and replaced with less-qualified but racially-diverse colleagues as part of a crusade against “toxic whiteness.”

Subjected to a diversity-focused witch hunt featuring persistent race-based shaming and verbal abuse, as well as groundless demotions and professional harassment despite decades of excellent work, Lois Herrera, Jaye Murray, and Laura Feijoo are seeking a total of $90 million from Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza and the city for compensatory damages, loss of earning capacity, and emotional pain and suffering.

“Under Carranza’s leadership, [the Department of Education] has swiftly and irrevocably silenced, sidelined and punished plaintiffs and other Caucasian female DOE employees on the basis of their race, gender and unwillingness to accept their other colleagues’ hateful stereotypes about them,” the suit, filed on Tuesday in New York state Supreme Court, reads.

Carranza wasted no time launching his reign of terror after he was hired in April 2018, according to the suit. “If you draw a paycheck from DOE … get on board with my equity platform or leave,” he reportedly told his employees.

Told to “take a step back and yield to colleagues of color” and “recognize that values of white culture are supremacist,” Herrera, a 33-year veteran of city schools, claims she was stripped of her title and demoted – despite being publicly praised for her performance the previous year – after she was held responsible for the racial inequities in the school system. Humiliated by her unqualified replacement, a black man promoted over her without so much as an interview, Herrera was subjected to a string of racist indignities that included a professional workshop where a black presenter decried the “‘white middle class values’ that were plaguing society,” framing the struggle as “us vs. them” – with Herrera the unfortunate “them” in the equation.

Despite Murray’s role in leading anti-bias programs during her 13 years in the system, she, too, was demoted – partially for the unpardonable sin of being from Westchester, a wealthy white suburb she realized the management expressly reviled after being forced to watch a professional development video that blamed black poverty on the proliferation of white suburbs. Her newly-appointed black supervisors forced her to report her work every 30 minutes to harass and degrade her, she claims, and even used her disability to humiliate her.

Feljoo, who had risen to supervising superintendent over 30 years with the schools, was snubbed for a promotion, which instead went to a black woman so unqualified for the role that a “training period” had to be instituted in order to hurriedly license her. Once licensed, she proceeded to remove all white women from her subordinate ranks, further pushing Feljoo down the ladder.

Carranza has denied the women were demoted because they are white, calling the lawsuit’s allegations “absolutely not true.”

“The children in New York City – 70 percent of whom are black and brown children – get to see senior level administrators that look like them. What’s wrong with that?” he said, pointing out his diversity hires are “extremely-well qualified individuals who at any moment could get tapped to lead their own school system anywhere across this country.”

Segregation is the new tolerance? College offers 10 ethnically-divided graduations

Civil rights activists who risked their lives to racially integrate American schools must be turning in their graves as Virginia Tech proudly offers 10 segregated graduation ceremonies based on race, sexuality, and… sobriety?

Virginia Tech may be the most extreme example, but it’s hardly alone. The school exemplifies a relatively recent trend in US higher education in which student identity groups demand and are given their own facilities, programs and (safe) spaces. While legally-mandated racial segregation under the ‘separate but equal’ doctrine was struck down in the 1954 Supreme Court decision Brown v. Board of Education, a National Association of Scholars surveyof 173 colleges published last month revealed that fully 72 percent now offer segregated graduation ceremonies, with 43 percent boasting segregated student residences.

Unlike the enforced segregation of old, this kinder, gentler discrimination is couched in the language of empowerment, strength in diversity, and tolerance. Only there is no diversity within a single-race dorm, and no tolerance learned by mingling solely with one’s own kind. Certainly, there is nothing empowering about claiming a bottom-of-the-barrel identity like “recovering addict” because as a straight white student, you have no advocates planning a special graduation ceremony for you at Virginia Tech.

While the ‘Cultural and Community Centers’ program that runs Virginia Tech’s identity group ceremonies encourages students to attend as many as their multiplicity of identities allows, it’s physically impossible to attend the “Gesta Latina” Hispanic-Latino achievement ceremony and the Lavender Commencement Ceremony (for LGBT students), and the Recovery Community and Veterans ceremonies overlap as well in a particularly unfortunate coincidence, given that 1 in 15 vets were diagnosed as substance abusers in 2013.

The ceremonies are technically open to everyone – to watch. However, the American Indian/Indigenous ceremony invites only “indigenous students, faculty and staff” to participate, just as Aliyah is a “celebration of achievement” only for Jewish students and the Muslim event celebrates only Muslim students. Certainly, only black students can “Don the Kente,” a brightly-colored Ghanaian cloth that black VTech students have been wearing to separate themselves since 1995. Those without a designated ethnic or religious group can probably try to join the catch-all International Student Achievement Ceremony – bonus points if you can fake an accent – but for white kids, it’s the all-school impersonal graduation ceremony only – unless you’re a vet or an addict.

A 2013 Economic Policy Institute report on segregation in public schools post-Brown claims black students are “more isolated than they were 40 years ago” thanks to racial economic disparities and discriminatory policing that disproportionately locks up black men. Why, then, would universities consciously choose to perpetuate such segregation, adding the sick joke of framing it as empowering?

Reflexively mocking those who object to institutionalized identity politics as victims of “white fragility” misses the point. A university education was once about exposing young adults to new and challenging ideas, often communicated by people unlike themselves, in an effort to prepare them to make their way in the world and develop their own values. The current university model instead resembles an exorbitantly-priced adult daycare in which all rough edges have been sanded down to avoid uncomfortable learning experiences which might force the student to change, question, or develop as a person. Students emerge from safe-space chrysalises less prepared for “real life” than when they went in – and are usually saddled with hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt besides, ensuring they are both psychologically and economically crippled – pardon me, handicapable – before they even begin their journey in life.

NYC School Job Posting Sought “Teachers of Color”

NYC Dept. of Education also embroiled in $90 million lawsuit alleging anti-white bias

Tuesday, June 04, 2019

A job opening advertised by a Manhattan school district targeted “teachers of color,” the New York Post reports just days after the filing of a $90 million discrimination lawsuit by three NYC Department of Education officials alleging anti-white bias.

The ad, which was reportedly posted on Indeed.com in April, invited applicants to attend a May 14th job fair.

A teacher took a screenshot of the posting before it was deleted and provided it to the Post.

“District 1 in NYC is looking to hire teachers of color for the 2019-2020 school year,” the ad read.

A description of the job fair posted to Eventbrite reportedly stated, “We are committed to diversifying our teaching staff to better serve the diverse populations we serve.”

A DOE spokesman says the posting was “not authorized” and the matter is being investigated.

“This was a mistake by one school and it shouldn’t have happened,” he said.

Lawyers consulted by the Post offered their opinions that the advert violated employment discrimination laws and could potentially lead to a lawsuit.

“So, playing this out, if a qualified applicant who is not a person of color is denied the job, that person could bring a claim for discrimination and that job posting would be strong evidence that race/color played a factor in the decision,” said employment attorney David Gottlieb.

The NYC DOE is currently embroiled in a budding scandal stemming from the recent filing of a bombshell lawsuit alleging Chancellor Richard Carranza and other officials have engaged in a ‘crusade against toxic whiteness’ in the department.

The three plaintiffs, all white women and former DOE executives, allege they were systematically purged from their positions and replaced with less qualified persons of color, and shamed and demeaned in the process.

“Under Carranza’s leadership, DOE has swiftly and irrevocably silenced, sidelined and punished plaintiffs and other Caucasian female DOE employees on the basis of their race, gender and unwillingness to accept their other colleagues’ hateful stereotypes about them,” the plaintiffs’ attorney, Davida S. Perry, wrote in the filing.

Carranza, who was appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2018, recently denied any wrongdoing or discriminatory policies.
