MSNBC Host Rev. Al Sharpton Attacks President Trump at George Floyd Funeral: “Wickedness in high places” (Video)

MSNBC host and former Democratic Party presidential candidate Rev. Al Sharpton attacked President Trump at the the funeral for George Floyd held in Houston Tuesday. Sharpton berated Trump for the forced clearing out of protesters a block from the White House a week ago Monday before the President stood in front of a church set on fire by protesters the night before.

“You take rubber bullets & tear gas to clear out peaceful protesters & then take a Bible & walk in front of a Church & use a church as a prop. Wickedness in high places…”

Floyd died May 25 in Minneapolis while being arrested for allegedly passing a counterfeit twenty dollar bill at a store. Video of Floyd on the pavement by a police car repeatedly saying “I can’t breath” and calling out “Mama” while being restrained by now fired officer Derek Chauvin with a knee to his neck for almost nine minutes until he was dead sparked national outrage, protests and riots.

Chauvin and the other three officers involved in the arrest of Floyd have been charged in his death, with Chauvin charged with second degree murder and manslaughter.

President Trump has condemned the death in police custody of Floyd and ordered the Justice Department to investigate. Trump has also acted to quell the riots and looting in Washington, D.C. and across the country following the death of Floyd.

Trump’s show of support for St. John’s Church after it was burned by protesters has been criticized by Democrats and reporters for the use of force by police to clear out protesters from the area.

Chicago Mayor Now Pleading With Walmart And Other Companies Not To Leave The City

After the recent riots which saw multiple large stores looted, some retailers are having second thoughts about remaining in certain cities.

In Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been talking to these retailers and asking them not to leave the city.

Not only do these companies make it possible for residents to get the things they need, they pay tons of taxes which the city relies on.

Mayor Lightfoot Pleads With Walmart, Other Retailers To Not Abandon Chicago

Mayor Lightfoot said she’s hopeful major retailers will reopen the Chicago stores that were looted or otherwise damaged during protests surrounding George Floyd’s killing by police in Minnesota. But, she’s unsure of one of the biggest.

Mayor Lightfoot said she was on a conference call with Walmart and other major retailers that had stores looted or heavily damaged during the unrest in Chicago. She said she pleaded with them to not abandon Chicago.

“I think in the case of Walmart, what they were focused on was assessing the damage. They are doing an effort to donate fresh produce, to the extent of what’s left so it doesn’t perish, and other perishables, and they are taking their time, as I would expect.”

Who can blame these companies if they leave the cities?

85 Shot – 24 Dead in Chicago’s Most Violent Weekend Following Leftist Riots — As Democrats Continue to Call to Defund the Police

The “mostly peaceful” leftist rioters in Chicago dragged police officers through the street and kicked them in the head last week.

The far left rioters and looters made Chicago’s Magnificent Mile look like Chicago’s Boarded Up Mile.

By last weekend the left was calling to defund the police in several US cities.

This past weekend Chicago suffered its most violent weekend of the year.

The Sun-Times reported:

Twenty-four people were killed and at least 61 others were wounded by gun violence in Chicago’s most violent weekend of the year so far, which also saw widespread protests, riots and looting throughout the city in the wake of the Minneapolis police killing of George Floyd.

More than half of the weekend’s victims were shot on Sunday as the city reeled from violent protests Saturday night that led to hundreds of arrests and the implementation of a curfew.

Chicago Police Supt. David Brown said Monday that of the total fatal shootings over the weekend, 17 homicides occurred on Sunday alone. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed 15 for Sunday, with another three at unknown locations.

The weekend’s toll surpasses the tally from the same weekend in 2019, when 52 people were wounded — 8 fatally — in citywide gun violence.

Wow! Minneapolis City Council President Says Calling the Police on Burglars “Comes from a Place of Privilege” (VIDEO)

After nearly two weeks of violence, mayhem, and rioting in Minneapolis, the City Council on Sunday voted on their intent to disband the police department.

The wild proposal would invest in “community-led public safety” instead of police officers.

“We are here today because George Floyd was killed by the Minneapolis Police Department. We are also here because, here in Minneapolis and in cities across the United States, it is clear that our existing system of policing and public safety isn’t working for so many of our neighbors,” Minneapolis City Council President Lisa Bender said in a written statement Sunday, obtained by the Appeal. “Our efforts at incremental reform have failed.”

The effort has a veto-proof majority in the council, and many of the members have been publicly outspoken about their disdain for the police department.

On Monday Council President Lisa Bender joined Alisyn Camerota on CNN to discuss the plan.

When asked about who people will call if their home is broken into, who to call, Lisa Bender said this:

Lisa Bender: “Yes, I mean, and I hear that loud and clear from several of my neighbors, and I know, and myself too, and I know that comes from a place of privilege.”

These people are complete lunatics.
