Twitter reinstates anti-abortion movie account after sparking outrage with unexplained suspension

CAP

An anti-abortion box office movie has had its Twitter account restored after a temporary and unexplained suspension, which sparked outrage and fresh cries of ‘censorship’ online.

The movie titled ‘Unplanned’ follows the true story of a Planned Parenthood clinic director turned pro-life activist, and was produced by Christian production company Pure Flix. It bills itself as “exposing the truth” about the family-planning organization, which it claims is only interested in money.

CAP

Twitter suspended the movie’s account seemingly without explanation last week, one day after its official premiere, but the backlash on the social media platform was swift, with pro-life and conservative commentators publicizing the suspension and demanding answers on the blackout. After the outcry, Twitter lifted the suspension, having decided that “after further review,” the account did not actually violate any rules.

It appears the suspension could have been the result of pro-choice users repeatedly “maliciously and falsely” reporting Unplanned’s account to Twitter — but the entire thing seems to have backfired, as the movie’s follower count shot up dramatically to over 100,000 soon after its account was restored.

CAP

But the saga continued, as Twitter users then suddenly began reporting that they had mysteriously been unfollowed from the movie’s account — and some claimed that they were not able to follow it at all. However, the account now has more than 200,000 followers.

CAP

The movie has been lauded by conservative media and panned by liberal media as pro-life “propaganda.” Twitter’s action against the movie didn’t seem to bother mainstream media though, with few major outlets reporting on the weekend-long Twitter drama.

Major television networks in the US, including the Hallmark Channel and the USA Network, also refused to run the movie’s ads — and it was given an R rating by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) due to some graphic abortion scenes. The movie producers called the decision “deeply flawed” given that films featuring “graphic sex, violence, degradation, murder and mayhem” have been given PG-13 ratings.

Despite the pushback, the movie had a surprisingly strong opening weekend, pulling in $6.1 million and landing in fifth place.

CAP

The movie has enjoyed support from conservative politicians, with former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee encouraging his Twitter followers to see it and calling Planned Parenthood a “money-making baby killing machine,” while former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin called Unplanned a “great movie full of shocking truth” about the “anti-child movement.”

Planned Parenthood President Brags That She’s Trump’s ‘Nightmare’

Joins Trevor Noah to mock President Trump

By HANK BERRIEN

On Friday, Planned Parenthood president Dr. Leana Wen, after appearing on Comedy Central with Trevor Noah Thursday night, bragged that she is President Trump’s “nightmare.” Wen tweeted, “Last night, I was on @TheDailyShow to talk about Planned Parenthood’s incredible life-saving work. @Trevornoah called me @realDonaldTrump‘s ‘nightmare’ — a badge of honor I proudly wear as we fight for our patients, our rights & our future!”

CAP

Speaking with Noah Thursday night, Wen made some amazing statements considering her organization routinely murders roughly 300,000 unborn children every year. She pronounced, “I truly believe that health care is a human right that’s guaranteed to all, and not just a privilege available to some.”

Arguing that her organization was not political, Wen completely ignored the hundreds of thousands of murdered babies every year as she attacked pro-life advocates, stating, “Look, we’re not the ones that made health care political. I mean, getting medications for your children, getting breast and cervical cancer screenings, SDI tests, these are not political issues. But when other people have made healthcare political, it’s our duty to fight back with everything we have because it’s about people’s lives.”

Later, Wen and Noah mocked President Trump for his pro-life stance. Noah began by saying, “When you look at arguments Republicans pose from the other side, they say, ‘We’re here to protect the unborn child.’ President Trump has been seen on the campaign trail saying this is about late-term abortions. You know, you hear the stories now where, I mean, President Trump actually said it’s gotten to the point where a baby can be aborted after it is born.”

Wen shook her head in mock disbelief; the crowd laughed.

Noah continued, “I don’t know what that means, but you’re a doctor. What do they mean by late-term abortions, like after birth, or at birth.”

The crowd laughed, prompting Wen to gesture to them and say, “Good response from the audience.”

She continued, “We have to call out President Trump for what he is doing, which is lying. (audience cheers) What he is saying has no basis in medicine or reality. (Audience laughs again) And here are the facts: about 99% of abortions occur before 21 weeks; those that occur later in pregnancy are because something in the pregnancy has gone very wrong … these are extremely difficult, hugely personal and challenging circumstances that women and families find themselves in and they deserve our compassion, and President Trump is exploiting their pain for political gain and I say to him, ‘Shame on you, President Trump.’” (Audience cheers)

After Wen bragged that her organization had recently filed a lawsuit against the “Trump-Pence administration,” prompting wild cheering, Noah said, “I’ll tell you this much: you are a doctor who is a woman who is running Planned Parenthood who finished college and is an immigrant; you are literally Trump’s nightmare.”

That prompted Wen to crow on Twitter Friday morning about Noah’s characterization of her.

Up to 18 Times: Congressional Democrats Block Vote on Infanticide

By

Jumping up to 18 total times, Congressional Democrats have blocked a vote on making infanticide illegal – again.

Representative Mike Johnson from Louisiana requested a vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivor Protection Act that was not recognized for a vote by the ruling chair. After having his mic muted, Rep. Johnson’s proposed bill was said to not be recognized for debate.

“If the Democrats continue to block consideration of H.R. 962, after 30 legislative days, Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) and Rep. Wagner plan to file a motion to discharge the resolution from the Rules Committee,” according to Life News.

This now makes attempt number 18 that Congressional Republican have proposed a bill that would make it mandatory to give medical attention to infants after being born – 16 times in the House and twice in the Senate.

Sounds sensible, right? Not to the Democrats.

Democrats don’t want this bill to pass because it deals with giving medical attention to babies after failed abortions. But, all the blame doesn’t need to be placed solely on the Dem’s, actually.

Big League Politics previously reported on the proposed bill:

Shouldn’t the so-called “pro-life” Republican-held chamber be the ones pushing these types of bills? One would think. It’s much easier for establishment Republicans to place the blame at the feet of Congressional Democrats instead of taking the blame for not putting their pro-life campaign platform into action.

There is plenty of outrage towards Congressional Dem’s for blocking a vote on this bill that would give medical attention to infants after being born – which is rightfully deserved – but there should be more outrage against Republicans for not being pro-life in action. Establishment Republicans are campaigning on being pro-life to get them elected yet once they earn their seat, all promises of pro-life action goes out the window.

NEWSSOUL TRAIN: Ralph Northam Embarks on Racial ‘Listening Tour’

By Patrick Howley

Racist Virginia Democrat governor Ralph Northam is setting off on a “listening tour” of the state to address his own well-documented racist past — which includes blackface or a Klan hood, blackface in emulation of Michael Jackson, and a collegiate screed about “the city streets.”

Northam’s listening tour will also featureNortham describing “what he he has learned from his own experiences,” according to an adviser.

America will be sure to listen closely to what Northam has learned since his racism finally caught up with him.

As protesters call for his resignation, and his own state party abandoned him, Northam is trying to become the world’s least convincing social justice warrior. A Daily Kos poll shows 60 percent of Virginians favor resignation and 24 percent hope he will stick it out.

Ralph Cops To ‘White Privilege’

Ralph Northam said in an interview with CBS’ Gayle King that his racism scandal has been “eye-opening” for him.

“Well, several things, starting with I was born in white privilege and that has implications to it and it is much different the way a white person such as myself is treated in this country …”

“And again, talking to a lot of friends, that has come crystally clear to me this week. I’ve also learned why the use of blackface is so offensive. And yes, I knew it in the past, but reality has really set in.”

“Certainly, Ms. King, I am not the same person now at age 59 that I was back in my early 20s,” Northam stated, noting that “we’re all on a learning curve.”

Ralph Calls Slaves ‘Indentured Servants’

Northam pretty much ruined his “white privilege” apology with this sound byte:

Ralph Starts Reading ‘Roots’

Buzzfeed News reported: “Northam doesn’t plan to hold any more press conferences any time soon. Advisers are in the midst of negotiations with major networks for a nationally televised interview they hope will humanize him. Additionally, his advisers have assigned the governor homework: He’s begun to read Alex Haley’s “Roots”, and “The Case for Reparations,” the seminal essay in The Atlantic by Ta-Nehisi Coates.”

Ralph Ignores African-American Protesters at the Capitol

The African-American community is not very happy with Ralph Northam, but the governor does not appear to be in a hurry to greet the protesters agitating for his resignation.

Ralph Gets Wrecked By Twitter Comments

The embattled governor managed to add a layer of needless disgrace to the memorializing of a fallen state trooper, who deserved to be recognized by an actual respected governor and not a worldwide figure of derision and scorn in the throes of a media firestorm.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Trooper Lucas Dowell. We are grateful for his dedication to the safety of our communities, and for all of those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect others,” Northam tweetedfrom the official Virginia governor’s account.

Here are some of the many anti-Northam comments on the tweet, which prove conclusively that Ralph Northam will never be able to be a real governor at this point and every day that he drags this out without resigning is just another day that he embarrasses the state of Virginia:

“Resign, Northam.

Resign.

Resign.

#TimeToGo

Northam has ALWAYS been part of the problem… we just have proof now

Agreed to condolences, and  !

Just resign already 🙄

DEMOCRATS have ruined my state of VA. We have to choose between a suspected racist or suspected rapist. And they call MAGAs the party of hate? Really?

RESIGN.

Resign dude. This is not going away and we are going to continue to remind you until you step down.

Resign

Why are you still in office??

Please make your next tweet your resignation.

Ralph Gets Wrecked By His Black Former Opponent E.W. Jackson

E.W. Jackson, the black Republican leader who ran against Ralph Northam for lieutenant governor in 2013, delivered a rousing condemnation of the Virginia Democrat governor on the state Capitol steps. Jackson made it clear how repugnant Northam’s views really are — years after Northam refused to shake Jackson’s hand in their 2013 debate.

E.W. Jackson tells Big League Politics that he is hesitant to play the race card, but he genuinely believes that Northam has “racial animus in him,” citing Northam’s refusal to shake Jackson’s hand during their televised debate. Northam is clinging to the governorship after BLP published his blackface-KKK yearbook photograph.

House Democrats Block Bill Against Infanticide For Fourth Legislative Day In A Row

See the source image

On Monday night, for the fourth time in the last four legislative days the House has convened, Democrats blocked Republicans from calling a vote against infanticide. U.S. Representative Mark Walker (R-N.C.) asked for unanimous consent to bring U.S. Representative Ann Wagner’s (R-Mo.) Born Alive Survivors Protection Act up for a vote. After he was blocked, Walker wrote an op-ed for LifeSite News, stating:

I just left the House floor where, for the fourth straight legislative day, House Democrats blocked a vote on a bill that would protect babies who survive abortions from being murdered. I just asked for “unanimous consent” to bring Rep. Ann Wagner’s (R-MO) Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act to the House floor for a vote. Democratic leaders, supporting the abortion industry agenda, refused to even consider the legislation, fearing the thought of allowing their members to vote their conscience and what they know to be morally straight.

That followed three other attempts in the previous three legislative days, as LifeNews reports. But even before that, a vote was blocked in the Senate: On February 4, Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) objected to the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, and her one vote was enough to prevent the Senate from passing the bill in a unanimous consent vote, as LifeSiteNews reported. That came after Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NB) requested the unanimous consent vote after Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam, a pediatric neurologist, had made comments indicating he did not object to letting an infant die after its birth, indicating that a born-alive “infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired.”

Then came the Democrats blocking action in the House: On February 6, Democratsblocked Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy when he called for a unanimous consent vote to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. McCarthy responded, “Democrats just rejected mandatory medical care for every baby born. They’ll have an opportunity to do the right thing tomorrow when Republicans ask for a vote again.”

The following day, February 7, House Minority Whip Steve Scalise asked Democrats to permit a vote on the bill; they refused. Scalise responded, “Before the entire House, I asked for immediate consideration of a bill that protects infants born alive during abortions. But Democrats rejected my motion and refused to consider it. Why won’t they go on record and tell the American people where they stand on infanticide?”

On Friday, November 8, Congresswoman Ann Wagner of Missouri wanted to call a unanimous consent vote on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. Democrats blocked her.

Scalise and Wagner are intending that after 30 consecutive legislative days of calling for a unanimous consent vote, they will file a discharge petition that would force a vote if a majority of House members sign it.

Scalise stated:

Innocent life must be defended and protected at every stage, and that includes babies born alive during an abortion. We must immediately extend legal protections to these vulnerable newborns and prosecute any doctor who would leave them to die. I introduced this resolution to begin the process of forcing a vote on Congresswoman Wagner’s important piece of legislation, especially after horrific actions taken in New York and Virginia to permit infanticide. The silence from Congressional Democrats is deafening and shameful. Every Member of Congress, regardless of party, needs to go on record against infanticide, and we must immediately take action to stop it. The American people deserve to know where their representatives stand on this critical issue.

Wagner added:

I have been horrified to watch radical Democratic legislators argue that babies who survive abortions should not be given the same level of medical care that all other newborn babies receive. Congress must act to protect those who cannot protect themselves. That is why I introduced the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which merely ensures that babies who survive abortions receive immediate, lifesaving care—just as any other baby would. To my colleagues, this is the simplest vote you will ever take: either you support babies being killed after they are born or you don’t. It is time to go on the record and make clear if you think babies born alive deserve medical care, or if you think they should be left to die.”

Gov. Northam Vows to be Virginia’s “Moral Compass”

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam vowed that he will remain in office and be a “moral compass” amid a slew of scandals engulfing the state’s chain of gubernatorial command.

During an interview on Face the Nation, Gov. Northam touted his own virtue and valor as leadership qualities necessary to guide his constituency through the on-going political turmoil.

“We’ve had a good first year, and I’m a leader,” Gov. Northam told host Gayle King when asked why he “deserves” to remain in office amid myriad calls from both sides of the aisle for his resignation.

“I’ve been in some very difficult situations — life and death situations, taking care of sick children — and right now, Virginia needs someone that can heal. There’s no better person to do that than a doctor.”

“Virginia also needs someone who is strong, who has empathy, who has courage and who has a moral compass. And that’s why I’m not going anywhere,” he asserted.

Northam told King he has “learned” but has “a lot more to learn” from controversy stirred by the emergence of a photo possibly depicting him in ‘blackface’ or a Ku Klux Klan outfit during his time in medical school, although it is unclear if he is either or neither person in the photo, as he has both confirmedand denied his presence in the shot.

However, just days prior to the photograph’s emergence, Northam shocked many when he seemed to endorse post-birth abortion, raising pressing questions about his “moral compass.”

Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax has now been accused by two different women of sexual assault and rape.

Two out of three Fairfax staffers have now resigned, as well as two employees of his political action committee, according to reports.

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring, who would become governor if Northam and Fairfax should fall, is embroiled in a ‘blackface’ scandal of his own.

‘Don’t want to get into that’: Democrats’ #MeToo double standard on Kavanaugh and Fairfax

CAP

Whether the Democrats went too hard in their pursuit of Brett Kavanaugh for alleged sexual assault, or have been too soft on fellow party member Justin Fairfax, it all amounts to the same thing – hypocrisy is an unbecoming look.

Unlike the since-confirmed Supreme Court justice, who was accused of a nearly forty-year-old crime with no verifiable dates, witnesses, circumstances or even a location, the allegations which the Virginia lieutenant governor faces are relatively recent, specific, and involve different accounts of an encounter that both parties admitted happened.

Yet, even though Fairfax accuser Vanessa Tyson hiring the same legal team as Christine Blasey Ford, among the top Democrats there hasn’t been a rush to “believe all women.”

Democrats on Kavanaugh

“I cannot sit here, I cannot participate in what I know history is going to look back on as a dark moment,” presidential candidate and New Jersey senator Cory Booker said as he explained his reasons for rejecting Kavanaugh. “You are either complicit in the evil, you are either contributing to the wrong, or you are fighting against it.”

“This is a real test for our nation to see how we treat women, especially women who are victims of sexual assault,” said senior California Senator Dianne Feinstein.

CAP

“I believe her,” said junior California Senator Kamala Harris.

“Over 150 sexual assault survivors have reached out to me to say they are dismayed by the Senate’s actions, they struggle to see empathy in the eyes of their leaders, and they now fear no one would take them seriously if they came forward with their own stories. I want them and all survivors to know this: You don’t need to suffer in silence. You deserve to be taken seriously. You deserve to be listened to,” said Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, disheartened after Kavanaugh narrowly won the confirmation vote.

“I believe Dr. Ford. Brett Kavanaugh does not belong on the Supreme Court,” said the independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

“We have to think about what it would mean if Judge Kavanaugh were to be confirmed to the Supreme Court with credible sexual assault allegations against him, Specifically what it would mean to the millions of women across America who were survivors of sexual assault, women who have been scared to come forward with their stories for fear they would be mocked, ridiculed, and shunned,” opined Senator Dick Durbin from Illinois.

Democrats on Fairfax

“I am not getting into that. I have so many things I am working on, this isn’t one of them,” saidDurbin, adding “I don’t know her” about Tyson.

“I don’t want to get into that,” said Feinstein, after saying that she “doesn’t know” who Justin Fairfax is, despite him being next in line for Virginia governorship.

“I think we should be focusing on what’s right now happening with the governor. I know you guys are going to try to focus on a lot of things right now, but right now my focus is on again calling for the governor to step down,” said Booker, changing the subject to Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s blackface scandal – though he did subsequently call for an investigation into Fairfax.

CAP

“It’s premature,” said Kaine, explaining why he isn’t calling for the resignation for Fairfax who is “someone we know real well” and “denies the charges unequivocally.”

“I haven’t had the chance to see her. I did have the chance to see Dr. Blasey Ford testify right in the room in front of me. So she had a chance to display great personal credibility. I have not seen this other witness or victim,” said Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, demanding a personal testimony before he is convinced.

“Busy with bills and focused on matters at hand right now,” said leader of Virginia House Democrats Eileen Filler-Corn. Shejust doesn’t have the time.

CNN Tries To Explain Away Its Own Viewer Poll’s HUGE Numbers For Trump

By Patrick Howley

CNN’s David Chalian struggled to explain why President Trump scored 76 percent “somewhat positive” or “very positive” in the cable network’s instant poll. The poll only counted “speech watchers,” Chalian explained, so Trump’s supporters might have been over-represented because they were watching the speech.

CNN seems to be having a tough night. Incidentally, the CBS News viewer poll also clocked in at exactly 76 percent approval for President Trump’s State of the Union address.

President Donald Trump urged Americans to come together to “Choose Greatness” in his State of the Union address on February 5, 2019.

“Members of Congress, the State of our Union is strong,” President Trump said as members of Congress chanted “USA! USA!”

“That sounds so good,” President Trump noted.

America is on a roll, and the only thing that can stop it is foolish wars, politics, and partisan investigations.

“We must reject the politics of revenge” and work for the “common good,” President Trump said.

“Together we can break decades of political stalemate, we can…build new coalitions.”

“The decision is ours to make. We must choose between greatness or gridlock…vision or vengeance, incredible progress or pointless destruction. Tonight I ask you to choose greatness.”

“We are just getting started.”

“Wages are rising at the fastest pace in decades, and growing for blue-collar workers.”

“Nearly 5 million Americans have been lifted off food stamps.”

“We are considered far and away the hottest economy anywhere in the world. Not even close. Unemployment has reached the lowest rate in nearly half a century.”

“African-American unemployment, Hispanic-American unemployment, and Asian-American unemployment have all reached their lowest levels ever recorded. Unemployment for people with disabilities has also reached an all-time low. More people are working now than at any time in the history of our country. 157 million people at work.”

“We are a net exporter of energy.”

President Trump focused on Christians’ ability to get off drugs. President Trump highlighted the story of Matthew Charles, the first man to be released from prison in accordance with President Trump’s First Step Act.

Relatedly, President Trump vowed to put the drug cartels out of business. Troops are at the border to meet the caravans. “This is a moral issue. The lawless state of our southern border is a threat…to all Americans,” Trump said.

Democrats live behind walls. Why can’t our country?

“Simply put: Walls work, and walls save lives,” President Trump said.

Women in the Democrat caucus gave a rousing ovation for Trump’s announcement that there are more women in the workforce than ever before. “You weren’t supposed to do that!,” the president joked. “Don’t sit yet, you’re going to like this! We now have more women serving in Congress than ever before.”

“USA! USA! USA!” Congress chanted.

“That’s great,” President Trump said.

President Trump demanded Congress pass a bill “to ban the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb.”

“We were born free, and we will stay free,” President Donald Trump vowed.

“America will never be a socialist country.”

“Great nations do not fight endless wars.”

“Our most thrilling achievements are still ahead.”

“Our biggest victories are still to come.”

“We do the incredible. We defy the impossible. We conquer the unknown. This is the time to re-ignite the American imagination.”

“This is the time to rekindle the bonds of love and loyalty…that link us together as American citizens, as neighbors, as patriots.”

“I am asking you to choose greatness…We must go forward together…We must keep America First in our hearts. We must keep freedom alive in our souls. And we must always keep faith in America’s destiny…”

“Thank you, God Bless you, and God bless America,” President Trump said.
