AOC’s Green New Deal Proposal Is Way Too Modest. I’ve Got A Better Plan.

By Matt Walsh

Lawmaker and visionary Alexandria Ocasio Cortez unveiled her Green New Deal today. It aims to reshape the American economy and usher in an era of peace and prosperity. The goal is admirable. The plan to achieve it, sad to say, is far too modest. It seems that Cortez was so focused on practicality that she lost sight of the dream.

Cortez demands, among other things, a railroad across the ocean, a living wage for all Americans (including those unwilling to work), paid vacation for everyone, healthcare for everyone, the replacement or upgrade of every building in the country, and the banishment of all flatulent cows. These are certainly worthwhile and eminently feasible ideas, but they don’t go far enough.

If I may, I would like to suggest a few additions. This is my New Green New Deal or Green New New Deal:

1. A free ice cream machine for every American (vegan ice cream, of course, because Cortez is killing all the milk cows).

2. Every sidewalk in America converted to a moving walkway.

3. Every staircase converted to an escalator.

4. Every escalator converted to an elevator.

5. A big bridge connecting North Carolina to Morocco, with, like, refreshment stands and stuff along the way. Also, like, there should be probably little cabins or something for people to sleep in.

6. A free blimp for every man, woman, and child.

7. A dog for every person.

8. A foot bath for every dog.

9. Essential oils for every foot bath.

10. No diseases (will cutdown on healthcare costs).

11. Universal joy.

12. A constantly refreshed selection of cereal in every pantry.

13. A lion that can tell me stories and grant wishes.

14. Immortality.

15. A computer type thing like from The Matrix where you plug in and learn how to do karate in five minutes.

16. Bananas that never rot.

17. No more loneliness.

18. Free consensual pony rides.

19. A kind of like robot thing that, like, lifts you out of the bed in the morning and puts on your pants for you and brushes your teeth.

20. All remaining student debt converted into tacos (one dollar of debt equals one taco).

According to my estimates, this plan is extremely affordable so long as we tax everyone at a moderate rate of 6,000 percent. We’d also need to consult with a team of highly-trained genies. I assume Cortez has already assembled that team if she’s planning to provide a livable income and paid vacations to every single person in the country.

And here’s the good news: most Americans will die anyway after Cortez tears down all of our homes and kills our livestock. This will thin the herd (pardon the pun) and make it much easier to provide for the small band of survivors who remain.

Depressed leftists squirmed as Trump laid out America’s successes

Infowars.com – FEBRUARY 6, 2019

Congressional Democrats did not have a good time during President Trump’s State of the Union address, and the internet took notice.

Memes from all angles surfaced online following Tuesday night’s address, ranging from the Democrats’ sullen and angry expressions to the freshman class’s white outfits.

At one point, Trump declared that “America will never become a socialist country,” eliciting a red-faced scowl from socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

Dems Worry Northam Could Derail Using Race Against Trump in 2020

The Associated Press

By Kristina Wong

Democrats are worried that Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s racist yearbook photo will hurt their efforts to use race as an issue against President Trump in 2020, according to a report.

“A racist photo in Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s yearbook entry has become a national political concern for Democrats, threatening to complicate their bid to draw a sharp contrast with President Trump and the Republican Party on race ahead of the 2020 election,” the Washington Post reported Monday.

Democrat lawmakers and activists swiftly called for Northam’s resignation, signaling that their party would not tolerate racism. But Northam’s refusal to leave “could complicate the message,” an anonymous Democrat lawmaker told the Post.

Northam on Friday apologized for appearing in the photo on his 1984 medical school yearbook page, after it was published in Big League Politics. It showed two people — one in blackface, and the other in a Ku Klux Klan robe. Another photo showed that his nickname was “Coonman.”

But on Saturday, he held a press conference where he denied he was in the photo altogether, but then admitted to wearing blackface during a Michael Jackson moonwalk contest.

The photos raised questions about the time Northam refused to shake the hand of an African American opponent for lieutenant governor of Virginia in 2013. Then-opponent E.W. Jackson tweeted on Sunday, “And that wasn’t Northam in the video of him refusing to shake my hand. That was his evil twin!”

The resurfacing of the photos comes at an awkward time for Democrats — when 2020 hopefuls are announcing their bids, and hoping to run on racial inequality.

“We … expect candidates — and the broader progressive movement — to commit to an inclusive and motivating message in 2020 that addresses both economic and racial inequality,” Maria Urbina, Indivisible’s national political director, told Politico in November.

After Northam’s photos were published Friday, 2020 hopefuls Sens. Kamala Harris (CA), Cory Booker (NJ), Elizabeth Warren (MA), Bernie Sanders (VT), Kirsten Gillibrand (NY), and Julian Castro called for Northam to resign.

Gillibrand first called on Northam to explain, but then later called on him to resign.

The photo could also hurt Democrats with African American voters, with whom Trump has made inroads.

“The recent, more explicit rhetoric on race among potential 2020 Democratic hopefuls … is at least partly strategic. Black voters are likely to be decisive in many 2020 primaries, especially in the South,” wrote Politico’s Alex Thompson.

A former Hillary Clinton adviser texted Thompson, “It’s fairly simple–s/he who wins the black vote, wins the primary.”

But there was “anger and sadness” among some African Americans in Virginia in response to Northam’s photo, according to another article in the Post.

“Honestly, he was in med school, so he’s not a child,” Pierre Hartgrove, 55, told the Post.

“I thought he was a good guy, actually. Does he not really like blacks? All these years, did he get the votes from us, did he say to his buddies, ‘Guess what? I got the Negroes’ votes!’ We don’t know,” he said.

PARTY OF NO: ONCE OPPOSED, DEMOCRATS NOW BACK WARS JUST TO THWART TRUMP

The poll analysis called it a “stunning reversal” of years of results where Democrats wanted troops withdrawn from U.S.-led wars

By Paul Bedard

Democratic voters, long opposed to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, now disagree with President Trump’s call to withdraw troops in Afghanistan and Syria, according to a new survey.

And the likely reason they have flipped is simply to oppose the president.

On Trump’s Syria move, the latest Zogby Analytics Poll found that 52 percent of Democrats oppose the troop withdrawal. Just 31 percent agree with Trump’s move.

The poll analysis called it a “stunning reversal” of years of results where Democrats wanted troops withdrawn from U.S.-led wars.

“Is this a shift in policy on the part of Democratic leaders, or Democrats disagreeing with any proposal put forth by the president? Are the Democrats the new party of ‘no,’ and willing to obstruct anything the president does out of mere spite? Presently, the data isn’t painting a different picture,” said the analysis from Jonathan Zogby.

Among all voters surveyed, his poll found that more back withdrawing the troops from Syria and Afghanistan.

But Zogby said his survey revealed the shift by Democrats, an important sign that indicates the degree of opposition the party has in accepting anything Trump does.

(Zogby Analytics)

In two separate questions, one on withdrawing troops from Syria and the other on withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, he found the same shift by Democrats.

From his analysis:

Over the last fifteen years, our polling of voters in the U.S. has shown that most Democrats vehemently opposed the U.S. wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In a stunning reversal of past polling, a majority of Democrats disagree with President Trump’s plan to withdraw American troops from Syria and a plurality of Democrats disagree with the president on removing troops from Afghanistan. A third (31%) of Democrats agreed (strongly and somewhat agree combined) with Trump, while half (52%) disagreed (strongly and somewhat disagree combined). These numbers were much different than the overall voter figures: 46% of likely voters agreed with Trump, while 37% ‘disagreed’, and 17% were not sure.

Our polling has shown that in past years, Democrats have, like the president, wanted the troops to come home. In 2011, Zogby Analytics polled Democratic voters and 74% ‘thought it was a bad idea’ to have gone to war with Iraq and 57% thought the same about the war in Afghanistan. Additionally, only 21% of Democrats thought ‘the Afghani people are better off than they were before U.S. led-forces invaded and occupied their country.’

#MeToo: Admitted Sexual Predator Cory Booker Joins Presidential Race

Will the FBI investigate his admitted sexual misconduct?

By Peter D’Abrosca

A heterosexual U.S. Senator from New Jersey announced Friday morning that he will join the crowded 2020 Democratic presidential field.

“In America, we have a common pain,” said a video posted to Twitter by Sen. Cory Booker. “But what we’re lacking is a sense of common purpose. I grew up knowing that the only way we can make change is when people come

The announcement was typical of a Democrat. The main message is this: America is a fundamentally bad place and I will fix it. It is reminiscent of the eight year message of do-nothing President Barack Obama.

Booker, though, has some problems of his own to contend with. Mainly, he admitted to sexual misconduct with a teenaged girl in an op-ed he wrote in Stanford University’s newspaper.

Big League Politics reported:

New Jersey Senator who has been sharply critical of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh wrote a 1992 column in which he bragged about groping a high school friend.

“As we fumbled upon the bed, I remember debating my next ‘move’ as if it were a chess game,” said Sen. Cory “Spartacus” Booker in the column. “With the ‘Top Gun’ slogan ringing in my head, I slowly reached for her breast. After having my hand pushed away once, I reached my ‘mark.’”

Screen Shot 2019-02-01 at 10.57.30 AM

Booker admittedly ignored his female friend’s rejection before moving forward in his column called “So Much for Stealing Second.” Apparently “no” means “yes” in Booker’s mind.

Booker’s column surfaced while he, playing the role of male feminist, grilled Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh for unprovable allegations of sexual assault during Kavanaugh’s September confirmation hearing.

Booker enters an already-crowded field which includes Sens. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), Kristen Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii), former San Antonio mayor Julian Castro, among other lesser-known candidates. Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has teased an independent run.

Dems hysteria over Starbucks CEO Schultz is all about power, not political views – Tucker Carlson

cap

Democratic outrage over Starbucks founder Howard Schultz’s presidential campaign shows they care only about power, not political agenda, Fox anchor Tucker Carlson said.

While Schulz’s political views are “indistinguishable” from those of establishment Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, his third-party campaign status is the only thing that matters, Fox News host Tucker Carlson said in his latest remarks on Tuesday.

“What Democrats really want, what they’re not kidding about, at all, is political power… Poor, hapless Howard Schultz and his overfunded midlife crisis just got in their way. So, they have to crush him,” Carlson said.

Schultz, a billionaire responsible for putting a Starbucks in every strip-mall in America, quit the firm last year. The former coffee kingpin announced on Sunday that he is “seriously considering” a shot at the presidency in 2020, as an independent candidate.

Schultz was immediately lambasted by the liberal establishment and media. Former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg warned that Schultz would “just split the anti-Trump vote and end up re-electing the president,” while liberal think-tank head Neera Tanden announced that she would spearhead a Starbucks boycott.

Potential Democratic candidate Julian Castro appeared on television to plead with Schultz to pull out of contention.

“I have a concern that if he did run that essentially, it would provide Donald Trump with his best hope of getting re-elected,” Castro said. “I would suggest to Mr Schultz to truly think about the negative impact that that might make.”

Schultz’s positions are not the problem. Even as a self-described “independent centrist,” he does not stray too far from the Democratic orthodoxy. The billionaire candidate rejects universal healthcare and free college tuition, and has called the leftist progressive wing of the Democratic party “un-American.” Instead, he advocates fiscal responsibility, gun control, and moderate immigration reform.

“If you sincerely thought Barack Obama did a great job as president, you’d probably be perfectly happy with Howard Schultz at the helm,” Carlson continued. However, the party establishment don’t want to risk their only shot at unseating Trump.

Neither do some passionate Democratic voters. Schultz was heckled and jeered at his first public appearance as candidate in a Manhattan bookstore on Monday night.

“Don’t help elect Trump, you egotistical, billionaire a**hole,” the disgruntled Democrat shouted. “Go back to Davos with the other billionaire elite who think they know how to run the world.”

Carlson concluded that Schultz’s ‘liberal’ opponents are all eschewing the classic liberal concept of welcoming a third candidate in the hope that the best ideas win.

“You get the strong feeling they prefer to see just one candidate on the ballot,” he said. “That way they’d win every time. Voters couldn’t screw it up with their dumb opinions.”

Democrats Plan Starbucks Boycott If “Egotistical, Billionaire Asshole” Schultz Runs For President

By Tyler Durden

Angry Democrats are planning to boycott Starbucks if former CEO Howard Schultz runs for president. The 65-year-old billionaire has said that he may run as an independent – a move which could peel votes away from whoever wins the Democratic nomination to face President Trump.

Putting it bluntly was a heckler at a New York Barnes & Noble, who told Schultz: “Don’t help elect Trump, you egotistical, billionaire asshole.”

Fellow billionaire Michael Bloomberg warned Schultz not to run as an independent, writing on Monday that he had to make the same decision in 2008 when he was considering running for office.

“I faced exactly the same decision now facing others who are considering it,” said Bloomberg. “The data was very clear and very consistent. Given the strong pull of partisanship and the realities of the electoral college system, there is no way an independent can win.

In 2020, the great likelihood is that an independent would just split the anti-Trump vote and end up re-electing the President. That’s a risk I refused to run in 2016 and we can’t afford to run it now,” Bloomberg added. “We must remain united, and we must not allow any candidate to divide or fracture us. The stakes couldn’t be higher.

Schultz, on the other hand, thinks that there are enough moderate voters on both sides of the aisle who are sick of the status quo and will rally behind him.

“I believe that lifelong Democrats and lifelong Republicans are looking for a home,” Schultz told Axios on Sunday night – acknowledging that a vote-splitting campaign “is going to create hate, anger, disenfranchisement from friends, from Democrats.”

Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress, called for a Starbucks boycott if Schultz enters the race, tweeting: “Vanity projects that help destroy democracy are disgusting. If he enters the race, I will start a Starbucks boycott because I’m not giving a penny that will end up in the election coffers of a guy who will help Trump win.”

Other prominent Democrats have shared the anti-Schultz sentiment:

“I have a concern that, if he did run, that, essentially, it would provide Donald Trump with his best hope of getting reelected,” 2020 hopeful Julián Castro told CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday. “I would suggest to Mr. Schultz to truly think about the negative impact that that might make.”

During his Monday interview at Barnes & Noble, Schultz said that he wouldn’t “do anything” to help Trump win again, however he says he believes he would win if he runs.

The former Starbucks head blasted Trump in a Sunday “60 Minutes” interview – saying he isn’t fit to serve as president, and that both Democrats and Republicans are “consistently not doing what is necessary on behalf of the American people.”

In response to the interview, Trump tweeted on Monday: “Howard Schultz doesn’t have the “guts” to run for President! Watched him on @60Minutes last night and I agree with him that he is not the “smartest person.” Besides, America already has that! I only hope that Starbucks is still paying me their rent in Trump Tower!”

Schultz’s retort? Nada.

“I’m not going to respond to that. It’s childish. I’m not trying to win the Twitter primary” he said.

Schultz, worth $3.4 billion, owns 33 million shares of Starbucks as of June 26, 2018. He stepped down as executive chairman and board member last June after joining the company in 1982, and is now chairman emeritus.
