In what could be the latest example of a left-wing, fake hate report, Mother Jones D.C. bureau chief David Corn claims to have found “obscene anti-AOC graffiti in a bathroom stall at the Phoenix airport.”
The liberal reporter failed to document the alleged vandalism for proof, writing, “I’m not going to post a picture of it.”
Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport’s official Twitter page commented on Corn’s post and asked for a location so their maintenance team could solve the issue.
Corn eventually responded, saying he took a United flight to Houston around noon and that the bathroom was near that flight’s gate.
However, after checking all restrooms in the area, the Sky Harbor facilities team didn’t find anything.
It’s not beyond the realm of possibility that Corn could have made up the entire incident as we’ve seen the left engage in a multitude of phony political attacks over the past few years.
On Wednesday morning, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), whoyelled to a cheering crowd in January on her first night as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives “we’re gonna impeach the mother***er” about President Trump, announced that by the end of March she will introduce legislation to impeach the president.
Tlaib blustered, “We saw record turnout in an election year, where people wanted to elect a jury that would begin the impeachment proceedings to Donald Trump. We want to work on these economic justice issues, racial justice issues and everything. But guess what? There is a wall there, and a constitutional crisis that is not going to [let us] do our jobs as American Congress members to push a lot of these agendas forward,” according to The Hill.
Bragging about the new Democratic members of Congress, Tlaib added, “This is the largest class since Watergate. This is a class — a diverse class — that comes … with a sense of urgency to act. To act to hold corporations accountable, to act in holding President Trump accountable, to act to really try to see real reforms, even within our congressional process. This is an emergency for many of us.”
On the night after she joined the House of Representatives, Tlaib cried, “People love you and you win. And when your son looks at you and says, ‘Momma, look you won. Bullies don’t win.’ And I said, ‘Baby, they don’t, because we’re gonna go in there and we’re gonna impeach the mother***er.’”
The week she was inducted into the House, Tlaib published an op-ed in the Detroit Free Press calling for Trump’s impeachment. She wrote:
President Donald Trump is a direct and serious threat to our country. On an almost daily basis, he attacks our Constitution, our democracy, the rule of law and the people who are in this country. His conduct has created a constitutional crisis that we must confront now …
We already have overwhelming evidence that the president has committed impeachable offenses, including, just to name a few: obstructing justice; violating the emoluments clause; abusing the pardon power; directing or seeking to direct law enforcement to prosecute political adversaries for improper purposes; advocating illegal violence and undermining equal protection of the laws; ordering the cruel and unconstitutional imprisonment of children and their families at the southern border; and conspiring to illegally influence the 2016 election through a series of hush money payments …
We are also now hearing the dangerous claim that initiating impeachment proceedings against this president is politically unwise and that, instead, the focus should now shift to holding the president accountable via the 2020 election. Such a claim places partisan gamesmanship over our country and our most vulnerable at this perilous moment in our nation’s history. Members of Congress have a sworn duty to preserve our Constitution. Leaving a lawless president in office for political points would be abandoning that duty …
This is not just about Donald Trump. This is about all of us. What should we be as a nation? Who should we be as a people? In the face of this constitutional crisis, we must rise. We must rise to defend our Constitution, to defend our democracy, and to defend that bedrock principle that no one is above the law, not even the President of the United States. Each passing day brings more pain for the people most directly hurt by this president, and these are days we simply cannot get back. The time for impeachment proceedings is now.
Tlaib is not the first House Democrat to pursue impeaching Trump. Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) has introduced articles of impeachment; Rep. Al Green (D-TX) has promised to reintroduce a motion to impeach the president.
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) said Wednesday it would not permit Fox News to host a presidential primary debate, citing an explosive story this week alleging deep ties between the conservative network andPresident Trump’s inner circle.
In a statement, DNC Chairman Tom Perez said he had held conversations with Fox News about potentially allowing the network to host a primary debate. But he said the story, published in The New Yorker, caused him to end conversations with the network.
“Recent reporting in The New Yorker on the inappropriate relationship between President Trump, his administration and FOX News has led me to conclude that the network is not in a position to host a fair and neutral debate for our candidates. Therefore, FOX News will not serve as a media partner for the 2020 Democratic primary debates,”Perez said in the statement.
The Washington Post first reported the DNC’s decision to exclude Fox News.
The DNC has already announced they will hold as many as 12 debates during the primary contest, including six this year. The first debates are scheduled for June, on NBC, MSNBC and Telemundo, and July, hosted by CNN.
Fox News had been lobbying to get its own debate, and Perez had considered partnering with the conservative outlet.
In a statement, Fox News senior vice president and Managing Editor Bill Sammon said the network hoped the DNC would reconsider, citing the network’s journalists Chris Wallace, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, “all of whom embody the ultimate journalistic integrity and professionalism.”
“They’re the best debate team in the business and they offer candidates an important opportunity to make their case to the largest TV news audience in America, which includes many persuadable voters,” Sammon said in an emailed statement.
“I believe that a key pathway to victory is to continue to expand our electorate and reach all voters. That is why I have made it a priority to talk to a broad array of potential media partners, including FOX News,” Perez said.
The New Yorker article, by correspondent Jane Mayer, detailed deep ties between Fox News and the Trump White House.
Former Fox executive Bill Shine is now the White House communications director, and Mayer reported on allegations that former Fox News chief Roger Ailes had given Trump a heads-up about potential questions he would face in a 2016 primary debate.
After leaving Fox News amidst a sexual harassment scandal, Ailes — who has since died — advised the Trump campaign.
Fox News has not hosted a Democratic presidential debate for several election cycles. In 2016, the DNC partnered with Fox News on a primary debate in San Francisco, though that event was later canceled.
A Woodburn man pleaded guilty Tuesday to participating in a conspiracy that produced more than 10,000 fraudulent government identification cards, including driver’s licenses from Oregon and more than 25 other states, U.S. Social Security cards, false immigration records, birth certificates, marriage licenses and vehicle titles.
Miguel Merecias-Lopez, 24, and unidentified conspirators worked out of a secret photo lab in Woodburn, using digital cameras, computers, scanners, laminators and a high-resolution printer to produce bogus documents that they sold and distributed in Oregon and mailed across the United States, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Peter Sax.
The investigation continues and other arrests are anticipated.
Merecias-Lopez pleaded guilty to conspiracy to produce fraudulent documents and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine before U.S. District Judge Michael H. Simon in Portland.
He joined the conspiracy in January 2017 after he arrived in the United States from Oaxaco, Mexico, Sax said. He’s responsible for creating at least 300 of the fraudulent documents, including permanent resident cards, Social Security cards and driver’s licenses, according to a plea agreement…
Merecias-Lopez, who is being held at the Columbia County Jail in St. Helens, will be sentenced on June 18. He isn’t a U.S. citizen and is expected to face deportation after serving his term, according to the plea agreement.
The National Security Agency has reportedly ended the intrusive spying program that combs through Americans’ calls and texts and won’t be seeking to renew it, begging the question – what are they doing now that’s more effective?
The secretive agency hasn’t used the controversial system – the descendant of the ‘Stellar Wind’ metadata collection program exposed by NSA contractor Edward Snowden in 2013 – in months, according to Luke Murry, national security adviser to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who told the Lawfare podcast that the administration wouldn’t even bother renewing its congressional authority for the program when it expires at the end of the year.
The NSA program – which reportedly had never thwarted a single terrorist attack – was essentially mothballed last June, according to Murry. Which, many believe, would only indicate the agency has been busy with something else for the last eight months.
The Orwellian-sounding ‘USA Freedom Act’replaced Stellar Wind in 2015, partially because of the fallout from Snowden’s exposure of that program, which was rammed through in the aftermath of 9/11 under the Patriot Act. It ended automatic bulk collection of metadata, leaving that treasure trove with the phone companies, but still permitted the NSA to access records of “surveillance targets” and anyone those targets had contacted, rubber-stamped by a judge to certify the target was “linked to terrorism.”Last year’s mass record deletion allegedlyoccurred because the NSA – which has billions of terabytes of data storage capacity secreted in a bunker in Utah to hold Americans’ metadata – received too much data from the phone companies and opted to delete it all rather than break the law.
Since the NSA has never before acknowledged –or cared about– breaking the law – indeed, the point of the outrage over Snowden’s leaks was that the intrusive practice flagrantly violated the Fourth Amendment, and NSA director James Clapper lied under oath to Congress about the existence of the program – their explanation rang false to many. The agency, unsurprisingly, had no comment in response to Murry’s statements.
Snowden himself cheered the news, as did Glenn Greenwald, who was the first to publish Snowden’s revelations. Others were more suspicious, given the NSA’s track record.
No intelligence agency has ever stopped invading citizens’ privacy just because its practices were exposed. There might be a Church Committee or two, and an agency director might even resign. But controversial practices like COINTELPRO, in which FBI agents infiltrated activist groups to sow discord and amplify internal tensions, and Operation Mockingbird, in which the CIAplanted and coopted journalists in prominent media outlets, are alive and well.
Democrats are on a warpath to impeach President Trump, with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) leading the charge alongside Congressional colleagues Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff.
Waters has hardly modulated her impeachment rhetoric, even when other Democrats did so in the lead up to the 2018 midterm elections.
Now that House Democrats have launched a sweeping probe into the President’s affairs, Waters is doubling down on her wild claims regarding Trump’s alleged misdeeds.
“Obstruction of justice reality show: Firing Comey, sending coded messages to Manafort & others that he has the power to pardon; lying abt Trump Tower meeting; threatening Cohen’s in-laws; attempting to destroy Mueller,” Waters tweeted. “What more do we need to know? Impeachment is the only answer.”
“For the faint of heart, who’ve been waiting for every “t” to be crossed and every “i” to be dotted, now is the time to demonstrate your patriotism. Support impeachment!”
During recent comments following the testimony of former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, Waters claimed to believe the Trump Foundation is actually a tax evasion front.
“There’s one thing that I think should not be missed that came out of the hearing, and that is how [Trump] directed payments into the foundation to keep from paying taxes,” Waters said. “I think there’s more than we know about at this time.”
“I think that’s an area that should be looked at because I think the foundation has been used by him to avoid paying taxes on money he’s earned.”
A new Quinnipiac poll found that only 35 percent of Americans favor impeaching the President, while an overwhelming 59 percent oppose the idea.
A favorite bogeyman of the Democratic Party throughout the years has been “money in politics” hurting our electoral integrity.
The whining reached a fever pitch after the Supreme Court reached a decision in Citizens United v. FEC(2010), which supposedly stacked the deck for Republican fat cats to purchase US politics wholesale.
In the age of President Donald Trump, everything has flipped on its head. Democrats have lost their marbles and with it, all principles they used to hold dear have gone out the window.
These maniacal liberals are now more than happy to take dirty billionaire money if they think it might help stop Trump’s ‘America First’ agenda.
House Freedom Caucus founder Jim Jordan (R-OH) was called “inane AND anti-Semitic” by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-CT) for issuing the following tweet pointing out the fact that Nadler was aggressively lobbied to push for impeachment by ‘Never Trump’ billionaire Tom Steyer:
Nadler said on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday that he plans to use his authority to harass Donald Trump Jr. as well as Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg.
“We are going to initiate investigations into abuses of power, into corruption … and into obstruction of justice,” Nadler said. “It’s our job to protect the rule of law.
“It’s very clear that the president obstructed justice,” Nadler added.
The newest liberal scheme is to call any criticism of billionaire leftist paymasters an anti-Semitic trope regardless of whether the accusations are true or not.
Republicans have been maligned in this despicable manner for pointing out the activism of not only Steyer but also billionaire oligarchs Michael Bloomberg and George Soros.
Data compiled by OpenSecrets.org shows that Steyer, Bloomberg and Soros were each within the top ten overall donors during the 2018 election cycle, giving nearly $200 million dollars to solely Democratic candidates.
While Democrats like to invent fake anti-Semitism to get people’s eyes off of who is funding them, they permit literal anti-Semitism to foment within their own ranks in the name of multiculturalism and diversity.
The Democrats are the party of radical Muslim anti-Semites, and the likes of Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) will make that abundantly clear in the years to come.
