âSo his perception that the establishment press is out to get himâdoesnât mean that great journalism is not being done. It is. But the notion that most of us look upon Donald Trump as being an absolute fiascoâŚheâs not mistaken in that perception, and heâs not mistaken when so many of the liberal media, for example, described themselves as belonging to the Resistance.â Koppel noted.
Koppel, who has previously attacked the alternative media, including Infowars, made the comments, March 7 during a think tank meeting at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

Koppel also noted that media outlets such as the New York Times, and the Washington Post are no longer the pillars of upstanding journalism.
âIâm terribly concerned that when you talk about the New York Times these days, when you talk about the Washington Post these days,â Koppel said, adding âweâre not talking about the New York Times of 50 years ago. We are not talking about the Washington Post of 50 years ago.â
âWeâre talking about organizations that I believe have, in fact, decided as organizations that Donald J. Trump is bad for the United States.â Koppel declared.
âWe have things appearing on the front page of the New York Times right now that never would have appeared 50 years ago. Analysis, commentary on the front page.â Koppel continued.
Koppel went on to give a specific example of the Times attacking Trump.
âI remember sitting at the breakfast table with my wife during the campaign after the Access Hollywood tape came out and the New York Times, and I will not offend any of you here by using the language but you know exactly what words were used and they were spelled out on the front page of the New York Times.â Koppel said.
âI turned to my wife and I said the Times is absolutely committed to making sure that this guy does not get elected.â he added.
âWhat does that mean? Thatâs not said by people who consider themselves reporters, objective reporters of facts.â Koppel urged, adding âWe are not the the reservoir of objectivity that I think we were.â
There you have it, even kingpins of the establishment media are shocked by how biased and unneutral it has become.

The University of Southern California held the 10th biennial Walter Cronkite Awards for Excellence in Television Political Journalism on Wednesday, honoring CNN for its Parkland Town Hall last year for âhelping advance the national conversation on gun control and violence.â
Loesch attended the event to defend the Second Amendment following the leftâs calls for gun control over the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida, but the audience ended up hurling insults and threats of violence against her.
âIs this a joke? Seriously,â she tweeted Tuesday, before releasing several video clips of the event while it wasnât televised.

âHere is some footage where people were yelling to burn me at CNNâs award-winning townhall where they âadvanced the conversation on gun control,’â she said.
âShame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you! Shame on you!â the audience chanted as Loesch was escorted from the event.
Some conversation.
Hereâs more of the âconversation.â
âThis is what happened when the cameras turned off at @CNNPR âs award-winning townhall. Theyâre proud of it,â Loesch continued.
In the mainstream media bizarro world, CNN is given awards for âadvancing the conversation on gun control and violenceâ for hosting an event that demonizes the Second Amendment and threatens violence against detractors.
Even CNN CEO Jeff Zucker was given a First Amendment award after lobbying to censor his competition online.

According to several Tuesday morning reports, former âRepublicanâ Speaker of the House of Representatives Paul Ryan is among the group. The failed 2012 Vice Presidential candidate has been friends with the Murdoch family â owners of Fox â for years.
âRyan and three other board of directors were appointed on Tuesday. It was a necessary step as the Murdoch family wraps up the Disney-Fox deal,â according to CNN. âDisney is acquiring most of 21st Century Fox, including its movie studio and entertainment cable channels.
The parts of Fox that are not being acquired by Disney will be a standalone entity, simply called Fox, the report said. Fox will be the parent company of Fox News, according to the report.

The other notable board member of the new Fox is Rolando Hernandez. Hernandez is the CEO of Telemundo, the Spanish-speaking news organization owned by NBC.
The new announcements come as Fox viewers are particularly miffed at the network. The company suspended Judge Jeanine Pirro for non-controversial comments about Sharia Law, and then subsequently hired former Democratic National Committee head Donna Brazile as a commentator. Both signify a move towards the political left.
Big League Politics reported:
The former head of the Democratic National Committee who ensured that Hillary R. Clinton won the partyâs presidential nomination in 2016 has joined Fox News, just days after the network announced that Judge Jeanine Pirroâs show would be cancelled for this entire week.
âI fully admit that in my previous lives as a campaign staffer, presidential campaign manager and Democrat Party official, my own lack of civility in the heat of battle has been on full display. And it wasnât pretty,â Donna Brazile said in an op-ed explaining why she joined the network.
âBrazile, a veteran Democratic strategist, will offer political analysis across both FNC and FOX Business Networkâs daytime and primetime programming,â according to a statement by the network.
An admitted leftist who has fought to destroy conservatism has now joined the ranks of the formerly-conservative network. It is another move towards the left for the the network, which has effectively become CNN-lite.

Carlson blasted the spectacle of Zuckerâs prizewinning at the Radio Television Digital News Foundationâs First Amendment Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
âWhatever you think of Jeff Zucker, he is not encumbered by shame,â Carlson said. âKeep in mind that it was his network, CNN, that argued in public that Fox News should not be allowed to ask any questions of the candidates in the Democratic primary debates â that just happened.â
âIt was also CNN that demanded radio show host Alex Jones be silenced because Jeff Zucker didnât like what he was saying.â
âCNN waged a long campaign against Jones; it worked. Jeff Zucker silenced and deplatformed his show,â Carlson continued. âIt was a stunning defeat for free speech. So naturally, Jeff Zucker just won the First Amendment award.â
Deadline Hollywood described the awards dinner as a âTrump-trashingâ bonanza, with mainstream media operatives accusing President Trump of endangering the lives of the press.
Zucker said the Presidentâs administration âquite literally⌠put our lives at risk with their words and their actions,â and also, âdoes not tolerate a free and independent press.â
CNN contributor Carl Bernstein introduced Zucker, saying, âWeâre here tonight at a deadly serious moment even as we celebrate.â
âI donât know of a moment thatâs more perilous for the country, for reporting, for the truth and for the First Amendment.â

Interestingly, Fox News anchor Shep Smith, who is regarded by many as one of the most left-leaning personalities on the network, was also granted an award, while Carlsonâs show was reportedly not even nominated.
Smith was congratulated by Zucker, who said he âgreatlyâ admires the Fox host.
