Jeb Bush On Syria: ‘Donald Trump Is Bad For Israel… Hopefully Our President Will Reverse His Decision’
By Chris Menahan

Failed presidential candidate Jeb Bush said Wednesday on Twitter that he hopes President Trump will “reverse his decision to abandon Syria” because it’s “bad for Israel.”

He linked to an article from the New York Times by neocon Bret Stephens which said “that the ultimate long-term threat to Israel is the resurgence of isolationism in the U.S.”
“What Israel most needs from the U.S. today is what it needed at its birth in 1948: an America committed to defending the liberal-international order against totalitarian enemies, as opposed to one that conducts a purely transactional foreign policy based on the needs of the moment or the whims of a president.”
Stephens said the idea “neoconservatives always put Israel first” is an “invidious myth”:
Contrary to the invidious myth that neoconservatives always put Israel first, the reasons for staying in Syria have everything to do with core U.S. interests. Among them: Keeping ISIS beaten, keeping faith with the Kurds, maintaining leverage in Syria and preventing Russia and Iran from consolidating their grip on the Levant.

President Trump said Wednesday that we give Israel billions of dollars every year and they can defend themselves.

From the Times of Israel:
Speaking with reporters, Trump was asked about criticism that the move could put Israel in jeopardy by allowing Iran to expand its foothold in Syria.
âWell, I donât see it. I spoke with Bibi,â he said, referring to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. âI told Bibi. And, you know, we give Israel $4.5 billion a year. And theyâre doing very well defending themselves, if you take a look.â
âSo thatâs the way it is,â Trump said, according to a White House transcript.
âWeâre going to take good care of Israel. Israel is going to be good. But we give Israel $4.5 billion a year. And we give them, frankly, a lot more money than that, if you look at the books â a lot more money than that. And theyâve been doing a very good job for themselves,â he added.
Stephens’ column made no mention of the billions in foreign aid America gives Israel every year.

Top Democrats post identical âorange man badâ anti-Trump tweet

Nanci Pelosi and Chuck Schumer ; the infamous ‘NPC’ meme Š Reuters / Joshua Roberts
Ranking Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have been accused of being Trump-hating automatons after posting identical tweets attacking the president. The curious stunt has breathed fresh life into the infamous âNPCâ meme.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Speaker-designate Nancy Pelosi were mocked as ânon-player charactersâ (NPCs) â a video game term that has been retooled to describe those who mindlessly regurgitate anti-Trump mantras â after tweeting identical Christmas Eve roasts of Donald Trump.
âIt’s Christmas Eve and @realDonaldTrump is plunging the country into chaos. The stock market is tanking and the president is waging a personal war on the Federal Reserve â after he just fired the Secretary of Defense,â Schumer tweeted.

Less than thirty minutes later, Pelosi tweeted an identical Christmas Eve warning. The lawmakers also posted a series of nearly-identical follow-up messages, lambasting the president for shutting down the government.

The lazy messaging strategy provoked a snark storm on Twitter, with many users dusting off their favorite NPC meme to satirize the herd-mentality hatred of the president.
âHoly smokes. They are literally NPCs. They think and speak EXACTLY alike!â one Twitter user wrote.

The NPC meme gained wide popularity ahead of the November midterm elections. In October, Twitter deleted an estimated 1,500 accounts that used the meme to mock liberal conformity, claiming they were Russian bots.
The âtankingâ stock market that Schumer and Pelosi expressed identical grief over later experienced a record-setting rebound. The Dow added over 1,080 points (4.9%), its biggest single-day gain in history.

âHumanity not mankindâ: EU Parliament urges MEPs to adopt âgender-neutralâ language

Faced with a fracturing union plagued by internal squabbles, EU Parliament has taken decisive action to solve the blocâs numerous real-world problems, issuing a pamphlet which urges MEPs to ditch words coined with âmanâ.
Officials and members in the parliament have been sent guidebooks on using gender-neutral language in all of their official EU-related work and communications, the Telegraph reported on Thursday. Under the new guidelines, European lawmakers will be strongly encouraged to say âchairâ instead of âchairmanâ, âartificialâ instead of âman-madeâ, and âhumanityâ instead of âmankind.â
âGender-neutral or gender-inclusive language is more than a matter of political correctnessâ, the guidebook insists. âLanguage powerfully reflects and influences attitudes and perceptions.â
The decision has prompted reactions from the country where English originated, especially from those of its citizens who seem to support the UK leaving the bloc.
âHere it comes glad we are leaving,â one Brit on Twitter wrote.

âThank f*** weâre leaving! What a load of old s****,â another quipped, using the gender-neutral word for âman-feces.â

Others have argued that the guidelines are an affront to the English language, and attempt to needlessly alter the roots and meaning behind certain words.

Some pointed that the words mean nothing if they are not supported by actions.

The guidelines first emerged in November but were geared more towards interpreters, who were advised to use gender-neutral terms when translating between languages.
The EU parliament is just the latest in a long line of Western institutions to strive for a completely inoffensive, neutral-everything world. Everything from Christmas songs to âanti-animalâ language has been targeted by the PC police for hurting at least one personâs feelings on Twitter.
Blowback after Emannuel Macronâs wife snaps photo with ânotorious homophobeâ

Franceâs First Lady has found herself in the crosshairs of LGBT activists after posing for a photo with a pariah businessman known for his homophobic outbursts.
While visiting a popular Paris Christmas market, Brigitte Macron reportedly met with the holiday fairâs organizer, Marcel Campion, and congratulated him for the âvery beautifulâ event. The resulting photo op â showing the pair standing in front of a life-sized nutcracker â may not have been the most politically prudent decision, however. Campion is currently facing legal trouble over homophobic remarks that he directed at city leaders. The tycoon was recorded ranting about how Paris was âgoverned by homosâ after he was forbidden by the city to host his traditional Christmas market on Champs Elysees.

In the video that went viral in September, the businessman said: âI usually say âqueersâ, but I was told that I should not say that anymore. So I donât say queers, I say homos.â He later clarified that he doesnât have anything âagainstâ gay people, but that the alleged homosexuals who, in his opinion, run Paris are âperverted.â
“Beautiful, the wife of the President of the Republic who displays herself with a notorious homophobe”, said Deputy Mayor of Paris Ian Brossat.
“So, Brigitte Macron, the First Lady of France, ostensibly appears with Marcel Campion, who talks about homosexuals as ‘perverse’ ‘faggots’ who must be saved from AIDS, even though he is being sued for defamation and homophobic insultsâŚ. Shame on her!” added LGBT activist Maxime Cochard.

Her husband, president Emmanuel Macron, recently had a photo scandal of his own, when he posed for a widely mocked photo with a reported cocaine dealer and his middle finger-flipping cousin.

Neocons and Media Unite to Attack Trumpâs Syria Decision
By Mark Alan
President Trumpâs decision to withdraw US troops from Syria has been met with some push back among neoconservatives and the media. Although the move seems consistent with the presidents previous statements about the conflict, that didnât stop some from expressing shock over the decision. Undoubtedly, the two loudest voices among Republicans were Senators Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio.
Graham called the move an âObama-likeâ mistake. Rubio, apparently trying to establish himself as the leading figure of the neoconservative movement, went as far as calling the presidentâs decision a âretreat.â Graham and Rubio have both expressed past support for using the US military to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The response from many in the media hasnât been too different from that of the neocons. CNNâs Erin Burnett strongly condemned President Trumpâs decision. She said the president was giving Vladimir Putin an early Christmas present by withdrawing US soldiers from Syria. However, she failed to articulate why she believes the lives of US soldiers are less valuable than the alleged disruption between the US and Russia.
Burnett wasnât the only CNN personality to attack the president for his decision. CNNâs Fareed Zakaria also bashed the withdraw of US troops from Syria. He claimed President Trump was making an even bigger mistake than former president George W Bushâs âmission accomplishedâ fiasco during the Iraq War. Itâs worth noting that Zakaria is one of many prominent members of the media who supported the decision to invade Iraq.
Anchors from other networks also condemned the presidentâs choice to withdraw troops from Syria. Fox Newsâ Brian Kilmeade called Trumpâs decision âstunning and irresponsible.â He also suggested the president was âcutting and running.â MSNBCâs Joe Scarborough expressed similar sentiments on his show this morning.
The reaction of the neoconservatives and like minded members of the media shouldnât come as a surprise to anyone. The two groups have united numerous times in the past, salivating at the idea of a ground war to overthrow Assad in Syria. Thankfully, peace has prevailed.
United States military forces have been in Syria for over four years. The first known instance of American troops fighting on the ground in Syria occurred in July of 2014, as part of a hostage rescue operation. The Global War on Terror has already cost US tax payers nearly 6 trillion dollars. To provide that number some context, the combined value of the entire US housing market is worth about 30 trillion dollars.
Elsewhere, President Trumpâs decision has been met with praise. Senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul both applauded the presidentâs withdraw of troops from Syria. Senator Paul saidthe presidentâs decision is another example of Trump keeping his campaign promises. Paul further defended the move, saying the presidentâs decision in Syria illustrates why he won the 2016 election.

Rapper Talib Kweli: âNazi Germany Had a Wall Called the Berlin Wallâ

By Justin Caruso
Rapper Talib Kweli gave his fans an incredibly wrong history lesson Friday, saying that the Berlin Wall was created by Nazi Germany and was proof of how âwalls didnât work for Nazis.â
âSo, youâre unaware of the fact that nazi Germany had a wall called the Berlin Wall that was torn down in 1991 in order to foster humanity and diversity? Walls didnât work for Nazis so why build them here? Build bridges not walls Nazi lover,â Talib Kweli said in response to another social media user.

Of course, the Berlin Wall was erected not by Nazi Germany, but by socialist East Germany, which was under the occupation of the communist Soviet Union at the time.
Also, unlike President Donald Trumpâs proposed wall along the United States-Mexico border, the Berlin Wall was created to stop people from leaving East Germanyâs occupation to travel into free West Berlin.
Talib Kweliâs social media posts are not only fact-deficient, they are often hate-filled and vitriolic. In 2016, the âGet Byâ rapper attacked Breitbart Newsâ Jerome Hudson, repeatedly disparaging him with the racial slur âcoon.â

Twitter, despite their strict enforcement of rules when it comes to conservatives, took no action despite Kweli repeatedly racially abusing people on the platform over political disagreements.
