Trump: ‘Crazy’ Democrats Making ’Brand New Demand’ to Stop Deportations

President Donald Trump reacted Monday to new demands from House Democrats to cap the detention of illegal immigrants in the United States.

“The Democrats do not want us to detain, or send back, criminal aliens!” Trump wrote on Twitter. “This is a brand new demand. Crazy!”

Democrats on the bipartisan compromise border security committee to fund the wall issued a demand for a “cap” on the number of beds used for detained illegal immigrants.

“For far too long, the Trump administration has been tearing communities apart with its cruel immigration policies,” Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA) said in a statement. “A cap on ICE detention beds will force the Trump administration to prioritize deportation for criminals and people who pose real security threats, not law-abiding immigrants who are contributing to our country.”

Roybal-Allard is one of the members of the conference committee looking for a compromise solution to Trump’s demand for $5.6 billion in wall funding to secure the border.

Trump also reacted to the new demands on Sunday.

“The Border Committee Democrats are behaving, all of a sudden, irrationally,” he wrote. “Not only are they unwilling to give dollars for the obviously needed Wall (they overrode recommendations of Border Patrol experts), but they don’t even want to take muderers (sic) into custody! What’s going on?”

Trump is expected to rally supporters in El Paso, Texas on Monday ahead of the new February 15 deadline to fund the government.

Democrats Push for Hidden Deportation Freeze in Border Wall Talks

By Neil Munro

Congressional talks over border security and the wall have stalled because Democrats are trying to sharply limit the deportation of economic migrants.

President Donald Trump posted a tweet on Sunday about the partisan divide over deportation rules which have split the 17 legislators drafting the 2019 budget for the Department of Homeland Security:

CAP

The “cap on convicted violent felons to be held in detention” likely refers to the Democrats’ push to shrink the number of detention spaces needed by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency to hold migrants during the legal deportation process.

The Washington Post reports:

Democrats were trying to limit the number of detention beds that the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency would have access to. Democrats want to cap detention beds as a way to limit aggressive detention activities by ICE.

The cap on detention beds would not “Abolish ICE,” as sought by some Democratic legislators, but would shackle ICE to the establishment’s pro-migration policies.

ICE needs many detention beds because judges and migrants’ lawyers try to stretch out the time needed to deport each migrant. Many of the lawyers are progressive ideologues who oppose any deportations. So if the progressive lawyers double the time needed to deport each migrant, they also halve the number of migrants who get deported.

If the Democrats can shrink the number of detention beds, then enforcement officials would be unable to deport many lower-priority economic migrants. That would create a hidden amnesty for economic migrants who do not commit violent crimes.

Officials normally put a higher priority on deporting violent criminals illegals, and illegals caught driving while drunk. But many of the criminal migrants are aided by lawyers eager to slow deportations.

Also, without enough beds, border agencies would be forced to catch-and-release the wave of Central American migrants seeking jobs in Democrat-run cities.

Currently, officials do not have the enforcement agents and bed spaces needed to catch, detain, and deport migrants crossing the border, or even the one million migrants already ordered home by judges.

Trump requested funding for 50,000 beds in 2019. Democrats want to push the number down below 30,000, and add rules to reduce the detention of migrants already living in the United States and of migrants who bring children into the United States.

There are at least 11 million migrants in the United States, including roughly 8 million who are working. That illegal population is a huge benefit to business because the migrants force down wages, boost rental costs, and raise consumer sales. The population is also a huge problem for the many millions of Americans who earn less at their jobs and pay more for apartments.

Investors, employers, and Democratic political candidates already get huge benefits from the huge population of 45 million legal immigrants.

The disagreement over deportations comes as the Gallup polling company reported that 5 million people to the south of Texas are considering whether to migrate this year into the United States:

CAP

Budget talks are taking place behind closed doors, but each side is leaking claims about the disagreements. The Wall Street Journal reported:

A Democratic aide said that if Democrats agree to a number above that, they will want concessions on their priorities, such as the number of detention beds and asylum rules.

Lawmakers haven’t agreed on the number of detention beds for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Democrats are pushing for a lower number, believing that it would limit how many people that ICE could detain, while Republicans want a higher number, saying it is for humanitarian reasons to process asylum claims.

“I think the talks are stalled right now,” said GOP Sen. Richard Shelby, who is a member of the 17-person panel which is supposed to draft a 2019 spending plan for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). “I’m not confident we’re going to get there.” The plan was supposed to be completed by February 11, before a February 15 vote.

CAP

The Republicans on the DHS panel include Alabama Republican Sen. Richard Shelby, West Virginia Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven, Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt, Texas Rep. Kay Granger, Tennesee Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, Georgia Rep. Tom Graves, and Mississippi Rep. Steven Palazzo.

The Democrats are Vermont Sen. Patrick Leahy, Illinois Sen. Richard Durbin, Montana Sen. Jon Tester, New York Rep. Nita Lowey, California Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard, North Carolina Rep. David Price, California Rep. Barbara Lee, Texas Rep. Henry Cuellar, and California Rep. Pete Aguilar.

The establishment’s economic policy of using legal and illegal migration to boost economic growth shifts enormous wealth from young employees towards older investors by flooding the market with cheap white-collar and blue-collar foreign labor.

That annual flood of roughly one million legal immigrants — as well as visa workers and illegal immigrants — spikes profits and Wall Street values by shrinking salaries for 150 million blue-collar and white-collar employees and especially wages for the four million young Americans who join the labor force each year.

The cheap labor policy widens wealth gaps, reduces high tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, hurts kids’ schools and college education, pushes Americans away from high tech careers, and sidelines millions of marginalized Americans, including many who are now struggling with fentanyl addictions.

Immigration also steers investment and wealth away from towns in Heartland states because coastal investors can more easily hire and supervise the large immigrant populations who prefer to live in coastal cities. In turn, that coastal investment flow drives up coastal real estate prices and pushes poor U.S. Americans, including Latinos and blacks, out of prosperous cities such as Berkeley and Oakland, California.

Gallup: Five Million Latin Americans Coming to U.S. in Next 12 Months

Migrants, most of whom are part of a recently arrived caravan, stand in line for breakfast at a migrant hostel as they wait to apply for asylum into the United States on February 08, 2019 in Piedras Negras, Mexico. The hostel is holding approximately 2,000 migrants from Honduras, Guatemala and …

By Penny Starr

Five million Latin Americans plan to migrate to the United States in the next 12 months, and an estimated 42 million more say they want to enter the country.

Those statistics were in a report from Jim Clifton, the chairman and CEO at Gallup:

Forty-two million seekers of citizenship or asylum are watching to determine exactly when and how is the best time to make the move. This suggests that open borders could potentially attract 42 million Latin Americans. A full 5 million who are planning to move in the next 12 months say they are moving to the U.S.

The poll came as Democrats began using their new political clout to try to widen the catch-and-release loopholes in President Donald Trump’s border defenses.

Breitbart News reported:

Democrats say the DHS does not need so many detention beds but instead can release and track migrants or resident illegals by using “Alternatives to Detention,” such as monitors strapped to migrants’ ankles.

Democrats also argue that migrants who bring children should not be detained. If that rule is adopted by Congress, all migrants who bring children to the border would be quickly released into the U.S. jobs market.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokeswoman Katie Waldman rejected the Democrats’ proposals, saying in a statement:

Without the necessary detention authority and sufficient funding for family beds to enable ICE to detain family units when they are ordered removed, ICE will still only be able to remove a very small percentage of family units, thereby increasing the pull factors and further contributing to the border crisis. For example last year, only one percent of all removals were on ATD, at a cost of $72,000 per removal.

“Most U.S. citizens like me just want to know the plan,” Clifton concluded. “What is the 10-year plan? How many, exactly whom and what skills will they bring? What do we want? Answer these questions, and the current discussion can be resolved.”

The Republicans on the DHS funding panel include Sens. Richard Shelby (AL), Shelley Moore Capito (WV), John Hoeven (ND), and Roy Blunt (MO), as well as Reps. Kay Granger (TX), Chuck Fleischmann (TN), Tom Graves (GA), and Steven Palazzo (MS).

The Democrats on the panel are Sens. Patrick Leahy (VT), Richard Durbin (IL), and Jon Tester (MT), along with Reps. Nita Lowey (NY), Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA), David Price (NC), Barbara Lee (CA), Henry Cuellar (TX), and Pete Aguilar (CA).

Illegal Busted for Selling Child Porn in Louisiana

By Peter D’Abrosca

An illegal alien in Houma, Louisiana was arrested and charged with multiple crimes related to child pornography, according to that state’s attorney general.

“Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry today announced the arrest of an illegal alien living in Houma on numerous counts of Internet crimes against children,” said a press release.

“Jose Juan Hernandez, 42, illegally living in Houma, was arrested on 1 count of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of Thirteen (Distribution) and 17 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of Thirteen (Possession),” the release continued.

Hernandez has been booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center and ICE has placed a detainer on him.

Landry blasted the United States’ broken immigration system.

“Yet again, our office has arrested another illegal immigrant accused of exploiting children,” he said. “This man who should not be in our country has been picked up for possessing and distributing pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.”

“Too many Louisiana families have become victims of crime because of our Southern border in name only,” he continued. “So I again urge the Congress to support President Trump, build the wall, and help us make our communities safer.”

Saturday, President Donald J. Trump made a deal with Democrats to reopen the federal government for a period of three weeks to continue negotiating for the wall, while federal government employees get paid. In the event that Congress will not fund the wall, he will likely declare a national emergency to get it done.

Illegal Arrested for Raping, Impregnating Child in California

By Peter D’Abrosca

He’s been arrested twice for entering the United States illegally.

Today in 100 percent preventable crime, an illegal alien living in California is in police custody after allegedly raping and impregnating a 15-year-old girl.

“Police said 31-year-old Hector Montez is being held at the Kings County Jail on a $6 million bond,” according to KOLD. “Montez is from Honduras and is in the United States illegally, according to officials.”

According to the Kings County Sheriff’s Office, they were contacted by the hospital where the young girl was about to give birth due to the girl’s age.

Montez allegedly raped and impregnated her last March, when she was 14. Though Montez denied that he knew the girl, they were connected via social media. According to the sheriff’s office, he allegedly picked her up from school at least once. The report was unclear about whether this event led to the rape, but said that the girl hid her pregnancy for months.

“Montez has been arrested twice for illegally entering the U.S., according to local media reports,” the report said. “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has sent a request to detain Montez, officials said.”

He is currently being held on $6 million bond.

IRS Workers Union Threatens Tax Refund Delays…Does That Include For Illegal Immigrants?

By Patrick Howley

The union representing Internal Revenue Service (IRS) employees gave members the option to skip work during the government shutdown if they happened to be one of the 36,000 people who were recalled — some of whom were not paid, but all of whom now get back pay. Now, the IRS workers are wielding their political power the only way they know how: by making themselves even more non-essential.

Now, the union is threatening, courtesy of CNBC: delays are likely for Earned Income Tax Credit refund-receivers, or for any kind of refund that requires “human” and not “computer” labor.

The angry government bureaucrats are not yet resorting to the tactics of the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, who held press conferences in front of trucks full of un-delivered supplies during a hurricane.

Trending: Kelli Ward Wins Arizona GOP Chair Seat in Upset

The IRS must address its official policy of giving tax refunds to illegal immigrants, officially ignoring the massive scam by which illegal aliens use fake Social Security numbers in the United States.

This practice is now coming under scrutiny following the revelation that Gustavo Perez Arriaga was using at least two fake Social Security numbers to live in the United States. Arriaga has been charged with the murder of California police corporal Ronil Singh. It is not known whether the IRS ever ignored Arriaga’s fake Social Security numbers directly.

Arriaga was using two fake Social Security numbers, according to available information provided by a source close to law enforcement: 537-89-0142 and 667-28-2314.

Arriaga lived in the United States long enough to rack up multiple arrests for impaired driving. Arriaga was officially wanted for four years, but ICE officers had no contact with him prior to Corporal Singh’s shooting. Stanislaus County sheriff Adam Christianson blames the lack of contact with ICE on sanctuary laws, saying at a press conference that law enforcement should be able to do its job without legislative interference.

Illegal immigrants are able to pay taxes using ITIN numbers provided by the federal government. The IRS put out an official notice in June: “More than 2 million ITINs to expire this year; Renew soon to avoid refund delays.”

The Treasury Inspector General confirmed that the IRS paid out more than $4 billion in tax refunds to ITIN holders in the year 2010.

How many illegal aliens have been acknowledged by the IRS over the years, even despite warnings from the Social Security Administration that the illegal immigrants are not using actual Social Security numbers? That is a question congressional Republicans and Trump administration agencies might want to seek an answer to.

The IRS practice of excusing illegal aliens was revealed during the IRS scandal, kicked off by documented proof of the IRS improperly targeting tea party groups for politically motivated audits and other penalties.

Look at what current Trump administration director of national intelligence Dan Coats said at a hearing when he was a senator: “What we learned is that … the IRS continues to process tax returns with false W-2 information and issue refunds as if they were routine tax returns, and say that’s not really our job. We also learned the IRS ignores notifications from the Social Security Administration that a name does not match a Social Security number, and you use your own system to determine whether a number is valid,” Coats said.

Then-IRS commissioner John Koskinen excused the practice in the 2016 hearing.

“What happens in these situations is someone is using a Social Security number to get a job, but they’re filing their tax return with their [taxpayer identification number],” Koskinen said.

Koskinen admitted that “they are undocumented aliens.”

Koskinen actually said, “They’re paying taxes. It’s in everybody’s interest to have them pay the taxes they owe.”

WHEN WILL PEOPLE UNDERSTAND THAT PELOSI DOES NOT CARE. – Mother Of Son Killed By Illegal to Pelosi: Which One Of Your Children Is Expendable For An Illegal Life?

By Ian Schwartz

screen shot 2019-01-28 at 3.30.16 pm

At a CNN townhall Tuesday night, Nancy Pelosi was asked by a sobbing mother who lost her son to an illegal immigrant, who she said brutally tortured him before death, which one of her grandchildren she would give up to make room for an illegal.

“If you need to go home tonight and line up your babies as you say, and your grandbabies, which one of them could you look in their eyes today, and tell them that they’re expendable for another foreign person to have an a nicer life? Which one would you look to say, you, my child, are expendable for someone else to come over here and not follow the law and have a nicer life?” Laura Wilkerson, who said her son was “slaughtered” by an illegal immigrant, asked Pelosi.

“I pray for you,” Pelosi responded. “Again, we all pray that none of us has to experience what you have experienced. So thank you for channelling your energy to help prevent something like that from happening.”

screen shot 2019-01-28 at 3.34.34 pm

“But I do want to say to you, that in our sanctuary cities, our people are not disobeying the law,” Pelosi said. “These are law-abiding citizens, it enables them to, to be there without being reported to ICE in case of another crime that they might bear witness to.”

Wilkerson’s question:

LAURA WILKERSON, SON KILLED BY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT: Please excuse my voice tonight. There are over 300 cities in this country that are sanctuary cities. Like San Francisco. And you’re not only choosing to disavow a law, but you are adding sanctuary to people who come there and disavow the law.

In 2010, one of the illegals slaughtered my son. He tortured him, he beat him, he tied him up like an animal, and he set him on fire. And I am not a one-story mother. This happens every day. Because there are no laws enforcing the border. We have to start giving American families first.

This is not — bad to not put Americans first. We have family that fought and died for this country.

How do you reconcile in your head about allowing people to disavow the law?

And the second part of my question is this — if you need to go home tonight and line up your babies as you say, and your grandbabies, which one of them could you look in their eyes today, and tell them that they’re expendable for another foreign person to have an a nicer life? Which one would you look to say, you, my child, are expendable for someone else to come over here and not follow the law and have a nicer life?

Pelosi’s response:

REP. NANCY PELOSI, HOUSE MINORITY LEADER: Well, again, I commend you for sharing your story. I can’t even imagine —

WILKERSON: You can’t.

PELOSI: — the pain. I can’t even imagine. There is, there is nothing, I’m sure that can compare to the grief that you have. And so I pray for you. I pray for you. Again, we all pray that none of us has to experience what you have experienced. So thank you for channelling your energy to help prevent something like that from happening. But I do want to say to you, that in our sanctuary cities, our people are not disobeying the law.

These are law-abiding citizens, it enables them to, to be there without being reported to ICE in case of another crime that they might bear witness to.

The person who followed Wilkerson was a man born in Mexico and brought to the U.S. as a one-year-old who garnered applause after he told his story.

“The DREAMers are so spectacular and so inspirational to all of us. And that is why when we had the majority in the Congress, the House of Representatives, led by our Congressional Hispanic Caucus, passed the DREAMers act,” Pelosi said.

2020 Dem candidate Julian Castro proposes releasing illegals into America with ankle monitors

By Victor Skinner

Obama’s former Housing and Urban Development secretary Julian Castro wants to be America’s next president, and he has some bold new ideas on how to fix the problems plaguing the country.

Castro, a former mayor of San Antonio and youngest member of Obama’s cabinet from 2014 to 2017, announced his intent to run for POTUS in 2020 on Saturday.

The grandson of a Mexican immigrant, Castro told CBS News’ “Face the Nation” he would take a different approach than the Trump administration to folks crossing the southern border illegally, though he’s apparently unaware that his bright idea is already in use.

“What I believe we could do and what the Obama administration did do, I believe, toward the end of its tenure, was to look at things like ankle monitors so that you’re able to monitor where people are in the country,” he told the news station, according to the Washington Examiner.

Rather than detain those who break the law, Castro would treat them as probationers and reward those who cooperate with citizenship.

“We also need to be serious about recognizing the right of people to seek asylum, and the president is playing games with this, blocking people’s right to seek asylum. I would change that,” he said. “I would make sure that we push as hard as possible for comprehensive immigration reform, so that for people who are already here, if they’ve been law abiding, if they pay a fine, that they can get an earned path to citizenship.”

The problem is, ankle monitors aren’t a bold or new idea, and apparently they don’t work.

screen shot 2019-01-16 at 10.41.26 am

The Associated Press reported in August that the federal government is issuing thousands of ankle monitors to illegal immigrants and the devices work great to get people to show up to court, until deportation proceedings begin.

After that, many illegal immigrants ditch the devices and run.

According to the AP:

As of early July, there were nearly 84,500 active participants in ICE’s Intensive Supervision Appearance Program, or alternatives to detention — more than triple the number in November 2014. Around 45 percent of those were issued GPS monitors.

ICE spokesman Matthew Bourke said immigration court attendance is strong for immigrants in intensive supervision, but that ankle monitors and other measures are “not an effective tool” after deportation orders are issued. There isn’t reliable information on the number of ankle monitor recipients who remove them and flee, but many say it’s high.

“People can just cut those things off if they want to,” said Sara Ramey, a San Antonio immigration attorney whose asylum-seeking clients are routinely assigned ankle monitors.

Previously Deported Illegal Immigrant Accused of Sexually Assaulting Child

By Merrill Hope

A previously deported illegal immigrant accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old was allegedly attempting to flee the United States to Mexico at the time of his apprehension Saturday, say police in Montgomery County, Texas.

Jose Manuel Tiscareno Hernandez, 31, who resided in Conroe, was charged with the aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to a media advisory released by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. It stated that the suspect was “in the country illegally and has been deported back to Mexico on multiple occasions.”

Montgomery County law enforcement authorities did not elaborate as to the duration of the purported sexual abuse or provide any information about the alleged victim other than stating the victim was 11 years old when the sexual abuse began.

The search for the suspect escalated on Thursday, January 10, when the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit and crime investigators obtained a search warrant for Tiscareno Hernandez’s residence as part of a multi-agency probe into the sexual assault of a child, according to the press release.

“During the execution of the search warrant at the suspect’s residence, the suspect was not home but detectives received information that the suspect was intending to flee the United States and head back to Mexico,” stated Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office officials in the advisory.

In response to receiving that tip, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Tiscareno Hernandez and a second search warrant, executed on Friday, January 11, at a different location to collect additional evidence related to the purported sexual assault of a child.

Then, on Saturday morning, January 12, state and federal law enforcement partners investigating this case located and apprehended the suspect in Conroe. Tiscareno Hernandez was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $500,000 bond, according to online jail records.

Tiscareno Hernandez remains incarcerated, detained on a U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) hold requested by federal authorities because of the nature of the crime and the suspect’s current immigration status, according to the press release.

Following the arrest, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office tweeted that numerous law enforcement agencies worked together to find and arrest the “sexual assault suspect.”

screen shot 2019-01-14 at 3.40.23 pm

Those agencies included the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit and SWAT, as well as investigators with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office, and special agents with the FBI, ICE, and the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the press release.

In Texas, the crime of sexual assault is considered “aggravated” sexual assault when it involves a child under the age of 14 years old. It is considered a first degree felony and the minimum term for this offense, if convicted, is 25 years in prison. It may also carry a fine up to a $10,000. Penalties may increase if additional charges are filed.

BORDER PATROL: ‘VIOLENT MOB’ ATTACKED AGENTS, ATTEMPTED TO PUSH MINORS OVER BARBED-WIRE

Screen Shot 2019-01-03 at 10.49.09 AM

“Once again we have had a violent mob of migrants attempt to enter the United States illegally by attacking our agents with projectiles.”

The migrants gathered at the San Diego sector of the United States border with Mexico on New Year’s Eve tried to force their way over the barrier. When turned back by Customs and Border Patrol agents, some in the group started throwing rocks and attempted to push children over the barbed wire atop the barrier.

“Once again we have had a violent mob of migrants attempt to enter the United States illegally by attacking our agents with projectiles,” Katie Waldman, Department of Homeland Security spokeswoman said. “The agents involved should be applauded for handling the situation with no reported injuries to the attackers.”

Screen Shot 2019-01-03 at 10.52.16 AM

The CBP website, like many other federal agency websites, has a banner explaining that because of the partial government shutdown, it is not being regularly updated. But on Tuesday a statement was posted about the violence:

The following is based on initial operational reporting. Last night, approximately 150 migrants attempted to illegally enter the United States by climbing over and crawling under border fence in San Diego Sector. Due to CBP’s increased presence, a first group of 45 turned back towards Mexico. Shortly thereafter, migrants began throwing rocks over the fence at the CBP agents and officers. Several teenagers, wrapped in heavy jackets, blankets and rubber mats were put over the concertina wire. Border Patrol agents witnessed members of the group attempt to lift toddler sized children up and over the concertina wire and having difficulty accomplishing the task in a safe manner. Agents were not in a position to safely assist the children due to the large number of rocks being thrown at them.

To address the rock throwers assaulting agents and risking the safety of migrants attempting to cross who were already on the U.S. side, both smoke and minimal countermeasures were deployed. Agents deployed smoke, pepper spray and CS gas to a position upwind of the rock throwers and south of the border fence. The deployments were not directed at the migrants attempting entry on the U.S. side or at the fence line. The rock throwers were located south of the fence, in an elevated position both above the border fence area and the incursion attempt.

The statement said the “countermeasures” were directed only at those attacking the agents and were deployed in a manner that would not threaten other migrants in the area.

The Associated Press reported injuries in the crowd, but CPB denied that claim.

“No agents witnessed any of the migrants at the fence line, including children, experiencing effects of the chemical agents, which were targeted at the rock throwers further away,” the statement said.

The statement said agents successfully turned back the rock throwers and that 25 arrests were made during the unrest.

“Under CBP use of force policy, this incident will be reviewed by CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility,” the statement concluded.

As Breitbart News reported in November, under the Obama administration, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) law enforcement officials, including Border Patrol agents, utilized tear gas against migrants at or near the border at least 80 times between FY2012 and early FY2017.
