EXPOSED: Ilhan Omar Uses ISIS Recruitment Terminology In Interviews and Tirades

By Laura Loomer

Ilhan Omar can now add liar to her resume.

After a 2013 interview of Ilhan Omar recently surfaced on the internet in which she mocked Americans’ fears of Islamic terrorist organizations by citing a terrorism class she took in college, Big League Politics decided to investigate the merit of Omar’s claims.

Omar was being interviewed by Ahmed Tharwat when she stated that terrorist groups do not have scary names, laughed at people’s fear of terror cells, and blamed the United States for terrorism.

During the interview, Omar smiled and implied that if terrorist organizations were an elected group instead of individual people of a nation executing terrorist activities, then their actions would be accepted and justified under law. “All these groups like Al-Shabab and Al-Qaeda are not really legitimate and it is easier for you to say it is not ok because it’s not a legitimized action- by laws,” She said.

At one point of the interview, Tharwat said Al-Shabab, Hezbollah, and Al-Qaeda are Arabic words that are showcased as wrong or evil.  Omar replied while laughing, “These words don’t really mean anything evil right?”

When the host said “Al-Shabab” means the “Youth”, Omar laughed, implying that the terrorist organization that often recruits child soldiers and is responsible for killing thousands of innocent people in East Africa is harmless. In 2012, Al-Shabab pledged allegiance to Al-Qaeda, the Islamic terrorist organization founded in 1988 by Osama bin Laden.

Omar and the host continued with their pro-terror tirade in which she minimized counter-terrorism terminology. “Or Madrasa. No one wants to go to Madrasa anymore even though it means school” Tharwat said as Omar giggled and laughed.

One of the most alarming statements during the interview was when the host tried to justify a terrorist attack in Kenya by insinuating that the attack was warranted because “we never see Americans apologize when their troops, when their states destroy other countries, when their states’ empire misbehaves overseas.”

Tharawt and Omar continued to disrespect the United States by saying Americans are “polluting (Arabic) language!” and went as far as saying sensationalized media is to blame for purporting that groups like Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabab, and Hezbollah are evil.

Adding to the absurdity, Omar said, “We don’t need to go on a witch hunt”, when investigating acts of terrorism. Omar’s comments ought to be viewed with tremendous concern given that her Somali district in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is now the terrorist recruitment capital of the United States for ISIS.

“Terrorism is a reaction to a situation. We didn’t have terrorism before invasion or wall,” Tharawt said.

Omar and Tharawt agreed in their discussion together that the United States is to blame for terrorism. Alarmingly, Omar is now serving on the US House Foreign Affairs Committee, while holding pro-Islamic terror and anti-American sentiments.

“Usually most people want to not look into their actions that make another reaction,” Omar said as she continued to defend acts of Islamic terrorism. While discussing Al-Qaeda and Al-Shabab, Omar said its members are “normal citizens” and that the organizations “don’t mean anything evil”.

At the 16:45 mark in the interview, Omar said she took a course on terrorism in college. In one of the most disturbing sound bites, Tharawt asked Omar “if there was a lab (physical experiment)” for her terrorism class, to which she replied by laughing, “we learned the ideology. Every time the professor said Al-Qaeda, he sort of…his shoulders went up. Al-Qaeda, Hezbollah”.

Tharawt asked Omar, “What is his name? Where does he live”?

Omar replied, “Oh we are not saying his name. You probably get to see him on CNN.”

Further investigation revealed Omar attended North Dakota State University.  Big League Politics reached out to verify Omar and her “Brother husband’s” attendance.

The University cited FERPA, disallowing the media access to an elected member of Congress’s actual records at the University. However, NDSU confirmed that Omar and her husband both attended the univeristy. NDSU said Omar’s “brother husband” attended University for two years with her and that she obtained a degree in Political Science and International Studies. The professor she had for the terrorism class is Dr. Thomas Ambrosios.

According to his updated CV by NDSU nowhere does this professor indicate that he has been interviewed by CNN or featured on CNN.  In fact, his CV indicates that he is a member of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) a neoconservative group with an obfuscated funding history as outlined in this write up by RightWeb .

Ilhan Omar lied about her professor working for CNN, and she mocked “Americans,” including her professor, for treating designated Islamic terrorist organizations as evil and stated she thinks their actions are justified.  Her most recent line of questioning to Elliot Abrams, who currently serves as President Trump’s Special Envoy to Venezuela, is in tangent with the ISIS manifesto that outlines how the United States is observed with deep-seated hate. Omar was careful to refer to “genocide” or atrocious outcomes in El Salvador with nearly identical verbiage of the ISIS Manifesto.

While smiling and speaking to Abrams, who is Jewish, with utmost disgust and loathing for US actions during the Iran Contra Affair (actions of training and aiding El Salvadorians to regain their freedom from a communist dictatorship) Omar was condescending, rude and sarcastic. Watching Omar was like watching an ISIS recruitment video or reading a copy of Dabiq, which is the online magazine published in English and European languages by ISIS to recruit and radicalize Westerners all around the world. Dabiq serves as an instrument of propaganda for Islamic terrorists.According to the Council of Foreign Relations, Dabiq portrays jihadists as the voice of Islam, and states that the West is the sole enemy of Islam. Dabiq describes the end of time as the culmination of a centuries-long conflict between the Islam and the West.

In both her interview with Tharawt, as well as her questioning of Abrams, Omar blamed the United States for war casualties around the world. “Is this a fabulous achievement – Do you think the massacre was a fabulous achievement?” Omar asked Abrams.

Based on this conversation, Congresswoman Omar appears to see terrorism as a joking matter. But to the countless victims of global jihad, those who have been inspired by the murderous beliefs of Muhammad are nothing but nightmares.

Rep. Omar’s mocking spirit and recycling of ISIS recruitment terminology is no shock when paired with her decision to wear a hijab directly following the murderous Islamic attacks on 9/11, which she defended as an “open declaration of her identity” and told Americans to “just deal with it”.

A woman with such deep-seated hatred for the very country that afforded her freedoms, that afforded her the right to even run for office with the support of CAIR, an organization that is deemed a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates, should not be serving in the United States Congress. In fact, Omar shouldn’t even be allowed to continue residing in the United States as a “refugee”, given that she has expressed support for foreign Islamic terrorist organizations on multiple occasions.

Omar is suspected on lying about her basic demographic information like her “husband” who is believed to be her biological brother.  She lied about her professor and showcases her sympathies with jihadists in the way she spoke about her professor and the way she questioned Elliott Abrams. Omar is also a vile jew hater who has on multiple occasions spouted off anti-Jewish statements and has promoted eradicating Israel. In similarity to her predecessor, Keith Ellison, who is also a Muslim, Omar’s campaign was funded by CAIR, which often headlines fundraisers with Siraj Wahhaj, a co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing whose son was arrested in 2018 for training children to be jihadists and planning a terrorist attack on a hospital in Atlanta.

TAQIYYA: Ilhan Omar Panders To Transgender Community While Hiding Ties To Jihadi Imam Who Called For Killing Homosexuals

By Laura Loomer

People are finally starting to wake up to the fact that Ilhan Omar is an anti-Semitic homophobic jihadi. It took them long enough. But, Ilhan Omar is still lying to the world about who she truly is.

Along with receiving bi-partisan condemnation this week for anti-Jewish comments on Twitter which implied that Jews were paying for political influence, Ilhan Omar took to Twitter with some first class Taqiyya to pander to the transgender community after many began asking questions about how her Islamic ideology is going to impact her decision making as a Congresswoman.

Taqiyya is the Islamic practice of lying about and concealing one’s true belief in order to advance the cause of Islam. It is a common practice held by jihadis when they are exposed in the public eye for their pro-terror views. Omar is practicing Taqiyya in the way that she is trying to portray herself as an LGBTQ advocate in light of facing criticism for her anti-Jewish statements, and pro-Islamic terror associations, which have been well documented by Laura Loomer.

Ilhan posted a picture of a letter she wrote in which she called for newly elected Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, to investigate USA Powerlifting after they announced that transgender “women” would not be allowed to compete in Power lifting competitions with real biological women. Omar sent a letter to USA Powerlifting on January  31, 2019 behalf of JayCee Cooper, a male athlete who happens to be one of Omar’s constituents and identifies as a transgender woman. In the letter, Omar accused  USA powerlifting of violating Minnesota state laws against discrimination.

“Under the Minnesota Human Rights Act, discrimination against anyone based on their gender identity is illegal. This includes in public accommodations, and in Minnesota, organizations such as USA Powerlifting. In fact, just last month a Minnesota jury awarded Ms. Christina Ginther $20,000 after the Independent Women’s Football League refused to allow her to participate because she is transgender,” Omar wrote.

“I urge you to reconsider this discriminatory, unscientific policy and follow the example of the International Olympic Committee. The myth that trans women have a ‘direct competitive advantage’ is not supported by medical science, and it continues to stoke fear and violence against one of the most at-risk communities in the world,” she said.

During the 2018 elections in Minnesota, both Omar and Ellison endorsed each other and participated in multiple joint campaign events. Before becoming Minnesota’s Attorney General, Ellison served as the representative for Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, a seat that is now occupied by Omar.

In her letter, Omar claims to care about discrimination against the LGBTQ community, which includes transgenders, but her associations, friendships, and history prove that she has a history of homophobia. One of Omar’s closest political allies is Linda Sarsour. During Omar’s campaign for Congress, Sarsour was often seen campaigning for her, and was even invited as one of her special guests for the Congressional swearing in ceremony. `

Omar, who is a Muslim immigrant from Somalia, has a history of making anti-Jewish remarks and has been endorsed and supported by some of the nation’s most notorious Jew haters.

Along with being pro-Hamas, Omar is also close friends with Linda Sarsour. In November, Omar traveled to Dearborn, Michigan where she participated in political events with Sarsour, a rabid anti-Semite and pro-Hamas mouthpiece. Besides being an ardent supporter of Hamas and CAIR, both of which are Islamic terrorist organizations, Sarsour herself often tweets about her hatred for Israel, Zionism, and her desires to implement Sharia Law in the United States. Sarsour endorsed Omar’s campaign and was invited as one of the guests to Omar and Rashida Tlaib’s Congressional swearing in ceremony on January 3, 2019.

Linda Sarsour is a radical left wing Muslim Brotherhood activist. On July 1, 2017, Linda Sarsour gave a speech at the 54th Annual Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) Convention in Chicago. During that speech, Sarsour not only infamously called for Muslims to carry out Jihad against President Trump, but she also used her speech as an opportunity to praise Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has called for the killing of homosexuals.

“And to my favorite person in this room, that’s mutual, is Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has been a mentor, motivator, and encourager of mine. Someone who has taught me to speak truth to power, and not worry about the consequences. Someone who has taught me that we are on this Earth to please Allah and only Allah, and that we are not here to please any man or woman on this earth.” Sarsour said. “So I am grateful to you Imam Siraj, and you might think this is weird, but every once in a while, when I get into that deep dark place, Imam Siraj comes and talks to me. And he helps me to emerge out of those places, so I’m grateful to you Imam Siraj, and may Allah bless you and protect you for a long time for our community, because we need you now more than ever.”

Siraj was not only named in court documents as an alleged “co-conspirator” in the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, but he often calls for the killing of innocents in the name of Islam. Siraj once said,

“If Allah says 100 strikes, 100 strikes it is. If Allah says cut off their hand, you cut off their hand. If Allah says stone them to death, through the Prophet Muhammad, then you stone them to death, because it’s the obedience of Allah and his messenger—nothing personal.

“Nothing personal.” That is what Siraj, Sarsour’s “mentor” and “favorite person” had to say about Islamic terrorism. According to Siraj, it’s ok to stone people to death and chop people’s hands off, if Allah commands it.

Even more concerning, Siraj is also known for saying, “It is my duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the U.S. Constitution with the Quran.”

Wahhaj is also the father of one of two men who authorities arrested on August 8 in New Mexico and described as armed “extremist Muslims” after it was discovered that they had kidnapped 11 children who they were training to become “school shooters”.

While fully aware that Siraj is a terrorist co-conspirator, a proponent of Islamic terror, and a supporter of destroying and replacing the U.S. Constitution with Sharia Law, Sarsour still proclaimed Siraj as her mentor. Wahhaj and Sarsour have participated in numerous events together, including events for the Islamic Council of North America (ICNA), which along with CAIR was identified as a Muslim Brotherhood organization in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism trial.

Sarsour, who has a lengthy resume of Jew hatred, is also an ally of CAIR, the Council on American Islamic Relations, which has been found to have direct ties to HAMAS.

Hamas has also been classified as a designated terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department and is listed as a co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation HAMAS terror funding trial in 2008, which is the largest terrorism financing case in U.S. history. In the Covenant of Hamas, which outlines the goals and motive of Hamas and its members, it states that one of its main goals in the destruction of Israel.

“Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it.”

Despite the fact that CAIR has been linked to terror financing and is recognized as a terrorist organization in the majority Muslim United Arab Emirates, Omar has been endorsed by CAIR and has not distanced herself from the group with often works with Wahhaj, who has helped CAIR raise millions of dollars.

Following an FBI raid on a New Mexico compound in which Wahhaj’s son was arrested for training children to be jihadi school shooters and orchestrating a terrorist attack on an Atlanta hospital, as confirmed by authorities, CAIR refused to condemn his family’s plan to commit terrorism in the name of Islam. Instead, CAIR offered “condolences” to Wahhaj and his family and tweeted about how much they love and support Wahhaj and his family.

“The father of a missing Georgia boy was training children at a New Mexico compound to commit school shootings, prosecutors said in court documents obtained,” according to Associated Press“The documents say Siraj Ibn Wahhaj was conducting weapons training with assault rifles at the compound near the Colorado border where 11 hungry children were found in filthy conditions.” Police say Ibn Wahhaj is the father of Abdul-ghani Wahhaj, who went missing from Jonesboro, GA in December 2017. His remains were found on the Jihadi compound.

Yes. This really did happen.

Despite being a jihadist, a co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the father of an actual Islamic terrorist, and a raging anti-America Jew hater and homophobe, Wahhaj was the first Muslim to give an invocation in the House of Representatives in 1991.

CAIR Minnesota, which works with Omar in her District where she is now a Congressional representative in Minnesota, describes Wahhaj on their website, “Siraj Wahhaj is one of the most admired Muslim leaders and speakers in America.”

On an audio recording found and released by investigative journalist Laura Loomer in August 2018, Wahhaj is heard calling for the killing of homosexuals and referring to homosexuals as “diseased”. It is worth noting that many members of the Transgender community are homosexual.

“Brothers and sisters, I don’t believe any of you are homosexuals. Some 10% of the America people are homosexuals….”

He goes on to say, “And you know, brothers and sisters, you know what the punishment is, if a man is found with another man? The Prophet Mohammed said the one who does it band the one to whom it is done, kill them both.”

Wahhaj is citing a direct phrase from the Prophet Mohammed, who Ilhan, as a devout Muslim, worships and praises everyday. Omar has emphasized to the world how much she loves being a Muslim, but will she condemn the prophet Mohammed and Islam for the way in which it calls for the killing of gays and transgenders? To condemn the prophet Mohammed in Islam is a form of apostasy, which in Islam, is a punishable offense…by death.

Will Omar choose Islam or human rights and life for homosexuals? This is a question she must answer.

It is worth noting that on December 9, 2017, Omar spoke alongside Wahhaj and Sarsour at the Council on American-Islamic Relations San Francisco chapter’s (CAIR-SFBA) 23rd Annual Banquet where Omar was happily interacting with Wahhaj, many years after he made these comments in which he called for the killing of homosexuals.

It is time for Ilhan Omar to resign from Congress. How much more anti-American, anti-Jewish, homophobic, and pro-Islamic terror rhetoric will be accepted from this jihadi infiltaror in our Congress before she is finally removed from office and deported back to her country of Somalia for treason and immigration fraud (she married her brother).

If you recall, I was permanently banned by Twitter on November 21, 2018 for exposing Omar. I was banned for posting facts about Ilhan Omar, her Jew hatred, homophobia, and ties to Islamic terrorist organizations.

That day is long overdue, but maybe it will come soon now that the mainstream media is finally playing catch up to my reports about Ilhan Omar which I sent to all of the major news outlets last year.

#StandwithIlhan: Social media users defend Ilhan Omar after her forced apology over anti-Semitism

Social media users are flocking to #StandwithIlhan after Rep. Ilhan Omar was pressured to issue an apology for her tweets about the Israel lobby’s influence over US politicians, after she was accused of anti-Semitism.

Omar was seemingly forced to apologize by Democratic leadership after she tweeted about Israeli influence and named the powerful Israel lobbying group AIPAC as having a hold over US politicians.

Although her statements were backed up, Omar faced an onslaught of outrage from a wide range of commenters, from Chelsea Clinton to President Donald Trump, who said she should be “ashamed of herself.” This despite the fact that Trump faced criticism for making anti-Semitic tropes about members of the Republican Jewish Coalition liking money and making deals when he addressed them in 2015.

“I don’t think her apology was adequate,” he unironically said of Omar.

CAP

Omar “unequivocally” apologized for her remarks in a statement which also reaffirmed the problematic role of lobbyists in US politics. This prompted many to accuse her of not apologizing enough, while her supporters expressed disappointment that she was apologizing at all.

Many voicing their support for Omar pointed to American values of freedom of speech and shared a petition urging the Democratic leadership to stand up against “bad faith attacks” targeting Omar even after her apology. Others said they had donated to her campaign.

Social media users also provided more information to back up Omar’s initial tweets about Israel’s influence, and pointed to disconnects between House Leader Nancy Pelosi’s statement supporting Israel and denouncing “racism, prejudice and discrimination” in light of freedoms not offered to Palestinians under Israeli occupation.

The volume of outrage and cries of anti-Semitism from the US establishment seemed to further bolster Omar’s comments about the sway the Israel lobby holds over elected officials and the country’s two leading political parties.

Ironically, smearing people as anti-Semites is a tactic employed by the Israel lobby both in the US and theUK, as detailed in two Al Jazeera documentaries which saw an undercover reporter infiltrate both the US and UK lobby to reveal methods employed by the groups. The US version was never aired by Al Jazeera as a result of pressure wrought by the Israel lobby and members of Congress, who accused the network of… anti-Semitism.

One clip from the censored documentary shared on Twitter shows former AIPAC Director Eric Gallagher explaining that “everything AIPAC does is focused on influencing Congress.”

(ANOTHER DEMOCRAT!) – REP. ILHAN OMAR GOES ON ANTI-SEMITIC TWITTER RAMPAGE; ADVOCACY GROUP DEMANDS APOLOGY

Rep. Ilhan Omar Goes on Anti-Semitic Twitter Rampage; Advocacy Group Demands Apology

She accused deep-pocketed Jews of buying American politicians and retweeted a post calling Jews ‘hook nosed’

By Tom Elliott

Democrats’ freshmen class of lawmakers are providing the party with a new source of passion — and a lot of headaches.

A series of tweets sent Sunday night from Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) are another addition for the latter category.

The tweets began after a writer for the Intercept, Glenn Greenwald, posted a story about Rep. Kevin McCarthy “threatening punishment” of Rep. Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) “over their criticisms of Israel.” (As CNN’s Jake Tapper noted, McCarthy’s comments were actually directed at “what he sees as anti-Semitic rhetoric from Reps. Omar and Tlaib.”)

Rep. Omar responded to Greenwald’s post with, “It’s all about the Benjamins baby”:

Screen Shot 2019-02-11 at 11.04.43 AM

The insinuation that Jewish interests were compelling Rep. McCarthy’s actions prompted some to ask Rep. Omar for clarification.

When a writer for the Forward asked, “Would love to know who Omar thinks is paying American politicians to be pro-Israel,” Rep. Omar responded: “AIPAC!”

Screen Shot 2019-02-11 at 11.05.26 AM

As a 501(c))4), the American Israel Political Affairs Committee (AIPAC) does not actually make contributions to politicians.

Omar later re-tweeted a Jewish writer who described himself as not generally sympathetic to Israel, but felt Rep. Omar’s attacks on Jews were akin to calling “us hook-nosed.”

Rep. Omar subsequently deleted her retweet, apparently not having realized the post was calling her anti-Semitic. However, some online captured her retweet before it was taken down:

Rep. Omar’s tweets were promptly condemned among Jewish advocacy groups. AIPAC responded: “We are proud that we are engaged in the democratic process to strengthen the US-Israel relationship. Our bipartisan efforts are reflective of American values and interests. We will not be deterred in any way by ill-informed and illegitimate attacks on this important work.”

The American Jewish Committee called her tweets “stunningly anti-Semitic.”

Screen Shot 2019-02-11 at 11.07.00 AM

Her comments also drew scorn from her fellow Democrats. Rep. Max Rose (D-N.Y.) wrote, “When someone uses hateful and offensive tropes and words against people of any faith, I will not be silent. Congresswoman Omar’s statements are deeply hurtful to Jews, including myself.”

“Implying that Americans support Israel because of money alone is offensive enough,” Rose’s statement continued. “But to go a step further, and retweet someone declaring their parent at her sentiment is simply unacceptable. At a time when anti-Semitic attacks are on the rise, our leaders should not be invoking hurtful stereotypes and caricatures of Jewish people to dismiss those who support Israel.”

“In the Democratic Party — and in the United States of America — we celebrate the diversity of our people, and the God we pray to, as a strength,” he said. “The Congresswoman’s statements do not live up to that cherished ideal.”

In response to the escalating anger over her tweets, Rep. Omar said she’s the victim of “smears.” After Chelsea Clinton said “we have to call out anti-Semitic language and tropes on all sides, particularly in our elected officials and particularly now,” Rep. Omar responded:

The freshman lawmaker then began retweeting a series of people who said her comments about Jews were not anti-Semitic.

Screen Shot 2019-02-11 at 11.08.25 AM

This is not Rep. Omar’s first time being accused of trafficking in anti-Semitic tropes. Before entering Congress, she wrote that Israel “hypnotized the world,” comments she later said she didn’t understand why Jews found offensive. More recently Rep. Omar used Holocaust Remembrance Day to downplay the Holocaust.

ILHAN OMAR GAVE INTERVIEWS TO HOST WHO CALLED ISRAEL ‘JEWISH ISIS’ AND COMPARED HAMAS TO HOLOCAUST VICTIMS

By Peter Hasson

Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar gave multiple interviews to a fringe Arab-American television host, Ahmed Tharwat, who calls Israel the “Jewish ISIS” and has compared the terrorist group Hamas to Holocaust victims.

Omar blamed “our involvement in other people’s affairs” for terrorism in a 2013 interview with Tharwat.

“When are we gonna decide or realize that terrorism is a reaction? It’s an ideology, it’s a means of things, it’s not an entity, it’s not a place, people. It’s a reaction to a situation,” Tharwat said in the interview, which Fox News uncovered Monday.

“Yes. What you’re insinuating is what nobody wants to face,” Omar replied. “Nobody wants to face how the actions of the other people that are involved in the world have contributed to the rise of the radicalization and the rise of terrorist acts.”

“Usually most people want to not look internal [sic] and see what [are] their actions that makes another react. For us, it’s always, ‘I must have not done anything. Why is it happening to me?’ Nobody wants to take accountability of how these are byproducts of the actions of our involvement in other people’s affairs,” she added.

WATCH:

Omar’s comments came weeks after Somali terrorist group al-Shabab killed 67 people in a September 2013 attack on a Kenyan shopping mall. The terrorist organization previously targeted recruiting efforts at the large Somali-American population in Minnesota.

Omar gave another interview to Tharwat at a January 2017 Women’s March event, despite the host’s history of radical rhetoric.

Tharwat has repeatedly described the Israeli government as a terrorist organization, including referring to it as “Jewish ISIS.” (RELATED: Rashida Tlaib’s Ties To Anti-Semitism Run Deeper Than Previously Known)

“Zionism is terrorism,” Tharwat wrote in one tweet that described Israeli soldiers as the “Jewish Taliban.”

In another tweet, he wrote: “An antisemitic person these days, is not someone who hates the jew, it is someone hated by the jews.”

“Blaming Hamas for Israeli atrocities, is like blaming the Jew for the Holocaust,” Tharwat wrote in a July 2014 tweet.

After the U.S. began bombing ISIS targets in August 2014, Tharwat wrote on Twitter: “Obama should start bombing the Jewish state of Israel.”

The Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to Tharwat and Omar’s office for comment.

Omar has come under fire for some of her own statements since taking office in January.

In a January interview, she said she “almost chuckle[s]” when Israel is upheld as “a democracy in the Middle East.”

“Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel,” she wrote in one 2012 tweet.

Omar first defended the tweet, but later apologized.

In another tweet, she ominously accused Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham of being “compromised.” She faced criticism in December 2018 after mocking Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith.
