‘Modern-Day Lynching:’ Booker and Kamala Didn’t Wait for the Facts in the Jussie Smollett Case

Don’t hold your breath for apologies.

By

Two 2020 presidential candidates, Sens. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) jumped at the opportunity to accuse ordinary Americans of harboring hatred for minorities in the wake of the attack on “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett.

“The vicious attack on actor Jussie Smollett was an attempted modern-day lynching. I’m glad he’s safe,” Booker said of the attack. “To those in Congress who don’t feel the urgency to pass our Anti-Lynching bill designating lynching as a federal hate crime– I urge you to pay attention.”

Harris had a similar message.

“This was an attempted modern day lynching,” she claimed. “No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or color of their skin. We must confront this hate.”

As it turns out, the “crime” was neither a lynching attempt, nor motivated by race or sexuality. In fact, it was totally made up. Chicago police now believe that Smollett orchestrated the “attack” with two men, his “attackers.” Both are reportedly Nigerian nationals and extras on “Empire.”

Smollett’s story – that bigots yelling “this is MAGA country” beat him, wrapped a rope around his neck, and soaked him in bleach – conformed to the worldview of Harris and Booker perfectly. They believe that America is a fundamentally bad country filled with intolerant racists, and that only the progressive agenda can save America from the backwards people in “flyover country” who would commit a heinous crime like the one Smollett made up.

So they pounced (in the parlance of our times) without waiting for the facts to come to light, despicably seizing on the opportunity to race-bait, and to prove that their worldview is the correct one. They were wrong. Again.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) gets a dishonorable mention, too.

“The racist, homophobic attack on  is an affront to our humanity. No one should be attacked for who they are or whom they love. I pray that Jussie has a speedy recovery & that justice is served. May we all commit to ending this hate once & for all,” she Tweeted.

CAP

To be sure, these people do not care about Smollett, or even racism and homophobia. They care about virtue signaling to their idiotic progressive base to score cheap political points.

Fortunately for the Speaker, justice will be served. And Smollett will be on the losing end.

Hate Hoax Update: Jussie Smollett Hurls More Racist Insults at Doubters of Alleged Polar Vortex MAGA Beating

by Jim Hoft February 14, 2019

Actor Jussie Smollett arrived in Chicago on January 28th. He went out to get fast food at 2 a.m. when he said he was allegedly attacked by two Trump supporters in MAGA hats who recognized him in the freezing cold, beat him, poured bleach on him and put a noose around his neck.

It was -15 to -30 degrees wind chill on Tuesday morning.

Smollett said the mysterious MAGA men poured bleach on his head but bleach freezes at 18 degrees.
The weather on Tuesday was a low of -9 degrees.
Frozen bleach will not pour.

Jessie Smollett said he was assaulted and suffered a cracked rib but condo surveillance video shows Smollett walking past security to the elevator without telling them he had just been attacked by thugs who “beat the hell out of him” and “broke his ribs.”

On Saturday Smollet admitted his rib was not broken.

This was complete crap – just like the rest of the story.

And Jussie was carrying his Subway sandwich when he arrived home — he saved it during the alleged assault!

Jussie Smollett says he was talking to his manager during the assault but he won’t turn over his phone.

The Associated Press reported that police had released images of “persons of interest” from surveillance camerafootage, but were unable to find footage of Smollett being attacked.

The persons depicted in the police video were said to be walking away from the scene prior to 1:45AM.

Jussie Smollett’s neighbors say they doubt his assault story.

On Wednesday Rafer Weigel reported the Chicago police will re-interview actor Jussie Smollett over his redacted phone records.

But Jussie continues to speak out on the alleged late night assault.

On Good Morning America Jussie Smollett accused his doubters of being racist Islamophobes.

“I have to acknowledge the lies, and the hate,” he told “Good Morning America” in an interview with host Robin Roberts that aired on Thursday. “And it feels like if I had said it was a Muslim, or a Mexican, or someone black, I feel like the doubters would have supported me much more. A lot more. And that says a lot about the place that we are in our country right now.”

Police said they will press charges if they discover Jussie lied about the alleged attack.
It can’t come soon enough.

‘Don’t want to get into that’: Democrats’ #MeToo double standard on Kavanaugh and Fairfax

CAP

Whether the Democrats went too hard in their pursuit of Brett Kavanaugh for alleged sexual assault, or have been too soft on fellow party member Justin Fairfax, it all amounts to the same thing – hypocrisy is an unbecoming look.

Unlike the since-confirmed Supreme Court justice, who was accused of a nearly forty-year-old crime with no verifiable dates, witnesses, circumstances or even a location, the allegations which the Virginia lieutenant governor faces are relatively recent, specific, and involve different accounts of an encounter that both parties admitted happened.

Yet, even though Fairfax accuser Vanessa Tyson hiring the same legal team as Christine Blasey Ford, among the top Democrats there hasn’t been a rush to “believe all women.”

Democrats on Kavanaugh

“I cannot sit here, I cannot participate in what I know history is going to look back on as a dark moment,” presidential candidate and New Jersey senator Cory Booker said as he explained his reasons for rejecting Kavanaugh. “You are either complicit in the evil, you are either contributing to the wrong, or you are fighting against it.”

“This is a real test for our nation to see how we treat women, especially women who are victims of sexual assault,” said senior California Senator Dianne Feinstein.

CAP

“I believe her,” said junior California Senator Kamala Harris.

“Over 150 sexual assault survivors have reached out to me to say they are dismayed by the Senate’s actions, they struggle to see empathy in the eyes of their leaders, and they now fear no one would take them seriously if they came forward with their own stories. I want them and all survivors to know this: You don’t need to suffer in silence. You deserve to be taken seriously. You deserve to be listened to,” said Virginia Senator Tim Kaine, disheartened after Kavanaugh narrowly won the confirmation vote.

“I believe Dr. Ford. Brett Kavanaugh does not belong on the Supreme Court,” said the independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

“We have to think about what it would mean if Judge Kavanaugh were to be confirmed to the Supreme Court with credible sexual assault allegations against him, Specifically what it would mean to the millions of women across America who were survivors of sexual assault, women who have been scared to come forward with their stories for fear they would be mocked, ridiculed, and shunned,” opined Senator Dick Durbin from Illinois.

Democrats on Fairfax

“I am not getting into that. I have so many things I am working on, this isn’t one of them,” saidDurbin, adding “I don’t know her” about Tyson.

“I don’t want to get into that,” said Feinstein, after saying that she “doesn’t know” who Justin Fairfax is, despite him being next in line for Virginia governorship.

“I think we should be focusing on what’s right now happening with the governor. I know you guys are going to try to focus on a lot of things right now, but right now my focus is on again calling for the governor to step down,” said Booker, changing the subject to Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s blackface scandal – though he did subsequently call for an investigation into Fairfax.

CAP

“It’s premature,” said Kaine, explaining why he isn’t calling for the resignation for Fairfax who is “someone we know real well” and “denies the charges unequivocally.”

“I haven’t had the chance to see her. I did have the chance to see Dr. Blasey Ford testify right in the room in front of me. So she had a chance to display great personal credibility. I have not seen this other witness or victim,” said Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, demanding a personal testimony before he is convinced.

“Busy with bills and focused on matters at hand right now,” said leader of Virginia House Democrats Eileen Filler-Corn. Shejust doesn’t have the time.

BREAKING: NEW LEAD In Jussie Smollett Case – Retailers Of Rope Jussie Wore For Police Identified

CAP

Just over a week ago, obscure actor, Jussie Smollett, made national headlines when he claimed he’d been beaten by two racist and homophobic Trump supporters in Chicago at 2am on one of the coldest nights in years.

Smollette’s story quickly raised suspicions leading to an unprecedented investigation for a crime of this nature.

If Jussie is telling the truth, the crime is heinous and the thugs must be caught and brought to justice. If, on the other hand, Jussie is lying about what happened that night, then HE needs to be brought to justice for wasting tens of thousands of dollars in police resources, not to mention the opportunity costs of all the time not spent on real cases while they chased down this one.

Police are making progress getting to the truth about what, if anything, happened to actor Jussie Smollet.

Rafer Weigel reports:

Rafer is bravely doing the job of an old fashioned reporter. He’s getting information from official and background sources, and reporting it regardless of political/social implications. Straight. Unbiased. No wonder hacks like DeRay are attacking him!

CAP

He’s reporting what police are saying, Dray. Note the 2nd word in the previous sentence.

CAP

Yeah, that’s just crazy town right there. The police have been extremely consistent in treating Mr Smollett as a victim of a crime. If anything, Mr Smollett is receiving preferential treatment. How many other muggings in his neighborhood receive this many police man hours? This is not the only alleged racial attack to go down in the very high rent Streeterville neighborhood. (He’s living with the 1%ers fo sho!) Has there ever been a police response of this magnitude for any other similar crime that happens regularly in Chicago?

In fact, just last year, this same neighborhood had to putout warnings due to violent attacks. I wonder how many man hours were spent investigating these crimes vs those alleged by Jussie Smollett.

WikiLeaks emails reveal Obama used TAXPAYER CASH for private party — Trump paid for burgers himself!

 | Infowars.com – JANUARY 15, 2019

The left is mocking President Trump for providing a fast food buffet to a college football team, but emails obtained by WikiLeaks show that former President Obama flew in $65,000 worth of hotdogs from Chicago – using taxpayer funds – for a private party in 2009.

The haters spared no expense denigrating Trump on social media for serving hearty fast food to the Clemson University football team on Monday.

However, emails from global intelligence firm Stratfor, released by WikiLeaks in 2012, show that the Obama administration spent $65,000 of taxpayer money to fly “hot dogs” to a private dinner party at the White House in 2009.

“RE: Get ready for ‘Chicago Hot Dog Friday,’” said the email’s subject headline sent by Chief Innovation Officer Aaric S. Eisenstein.

“If we get the same ‘waitresses,’ I’m all for it!!!”

Stratfor Vice President Fred Burton replied, asking if they would be “using the same channels.”

“I think Obama spent about $65,000 of the tax-payers money flying in pizza/dogs from Chicago for a private party at the White House not long ago, assume we are using the same channels?” he said.

The corporate media completely ignored WikiLeaks’ bombshell Global Intelligence Files release highlighting government waste and corruption, but they have time to fact-check every aspect of Trump’s fast food feast, including the true height of the pile of burgers.

Brussels Mayhem: Police Beaten by Migrants, Ambulance Blasted in ‘No-Go Zone’

By Dan Lyman

Police officers were beaten by migrants in a train station and an ambulance window was shattered by a projectile while passing through a ‘no-go zone’ in Brussels, according to local media.

Migrants squatting in the Brussels North Station responded with violence after being asked to clean up their mess by railway security personnel, and four police officers responding to the scene were injured, SCEPTR reports.

“There was an incident after a Securail employee asked them to clean up the garbage,” an official said. “Then there was a skirmish with people sleeping in the station.”

Officers sustained “dozens of blows” from attackers in the melee.

“We are asking for staff to be strengthened and given the means to defend themselves in such circumstances,” said union representative Philippe Dubois. “The pepper spray that they now have is inadequate. Political leaders must also take the necessary measures to ensure that the North Station does not turn into a refugee camp.”

Many migrants are reportedly relocating from nearby Maximilian Park to the transit station as winter weather arrives.

“Now that it is getting colder, the illegal immigrants flock to the covered north station, near the Maximilian Park,” SCEPTR reports. “There they cause a great deal of nuisance – there is a mountain of waste and excrement – but above all a lot of crime. The number of thefts rose by as much as 82% and there is reportedly at least one stabbing incident every day.”

Brussels government employees were recently warned to avoid Maximilian Park after a slew of robberies and attacks upon officials walking through the park, in which hundreds of migrants are known to loiter and sleep.

Also, in a separate incident this week, an ambulance rushing to respond to an emergency call near the Brussels Christmas market was allegedly hit by gunfire, according to the fire department.

While traveling through a neighborhood referred to by some officials as the “Chicago of Brussels,” paramedics were rocked by a projectile that shattered a side window of their vehicle.

Trade union representative Eric Labourdette maintains that the damage was likely caused by a firearm, and warns that such incidents are becoming more common.

“The world is really going crazy,” Labourdette said. “Even in a war zone there is a treaty that emergency services are not shot at. This makes it very difficult to exercise our profession properly. There is a lack of respect towards people in a uniform and the violence is only increasing.”

“Among the staff it is already said that this district has become the ‘Chicago’ of Brussels, but there are other places in the capital and other metropolises where such troubling incidents occur. This creates no-go zones.”

As Infowars Europe reported last week, there are now over 1,400 locations across England that have been red-flagged as ‘no-go zones’ for ambulances without police escort, as the rate of violent attacks on paramedics has risen to a staggering eight per day.

Illinois Democrat says she wanted to pump a ‘broth of Legionella’ bacteria into Republican colleague’s water supply

Stephanie Kifowit, shown earlier this year during a committee hearing about deadly Legionnaires’ outbreaks at a state-run veterans home, criticized a Republican colleage Nov. 27, 2018, over his stance on a bill aimed at helping the victims’ families. (Zbigniew Bzdak/Chicago Tribune)

By Mike Riopell and Rick Pearson

A Democratic state lawmaker said she wanted to pump a lethal “broth of Legionella” bacteria into the water system of a Republican colleague’s family, during heated remarks on the Illinois House floor over a bill aimed at helping families of more than a dozen residents at the Downstate Quincy veterans home who died of Legionnaires’.

The bill would raise limits on damages in some state Court of Claims cases from $100,000 to $2 million, which could affect the victims’ families, who allege the state was negligent in the deaths that resulted from outbreaks at the veterans home over the past three years. Gov. Bruce Rauner rewrote the proposal over the summer to reduce such caps on damage awards to $300,000, but lawmakers voted Tuesday to override him.

During the House floor debate over the proposal, Republican state Rep. Peter Breen of Lombard questioned some of the plan’s details, contending the state doesn’t know how much it will cost. Breen, the outgoing House GOP floor leader, noted that multiple tort claims could be paid out for the same incident.

“And, yes, we know the personal injury lawyers are going to make out like bandits, which they tend to do anytime they come to the General Assembly,” Breen said.

Minutes later, Democratic state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit of Oswego, a co-sponsor of the legislation, stood up to attack Breen.

“I would like to make him a broth of Legionella and pump it into the water system of his loved one, so that they can be infected, they can be mistreated, they can sit and suffer by getting aspirin instead of being properly treated and ultimately die. And we are talking about our nation’s heroes,” said Kifowit, a Marine veteran.

Kifowit recounted questions over the Rauner administration’s handling of repeated outbreaks at the home, which are the subject of a grand jury investigation by Attorney General Lisa Madigan, and, in closing, said, “I respectfully ask for you to support this bill.”

Lawmakers voted 71-36 to raise the cap on lawsuit damages, the bare minimum number of votes they needed to override Rauner. The bill passed in May with 79 House votes. The Senate voted two weeks ago to override Rauner.

Breen yelled off microphone after Kifowit’s speech and Republican state Rep. Keith Wheeler of Oswego urged the chamber to reflect on the scale of the rhetoric.

“We lost our way today. I cannot fathom the idea that any one of us would ever publicly make a statement that is effectively a wish for a family member of one of our colleagues to die. That is what was said today. I think that’s despicable,” Wheeler said. “We shouldn’t stand for that.”

Later, after the vote, Kifowit said her words were misheard, misrepresented, misinterpreted and mischaracterized.

“Quite clearly what I said was ‘imagine if it was your family,’ ” she said, though she didn’t use those words. “So if it was misheard, I’ll apologize for the misheard, but my words were clearly, ‘Imagine if it was your family.’ ” Kifowitz acknowledged that her remarks “are all transcribed, and my words will be clear.”

On Twitter, she later said, “My words were twisted and misrepresented.” She added in another tweet, “I never stated anything to wish his family death.”

The deaths at the Quincy veterans home dogged Rauner’s re-election campaign. The post-Civil War-era facility is where 14 people have died and nearly 70 others have been sickened by Legionnaires’ disease outbreaks since 2015. At least a dozen lawsuits have been filed since the initial outbreak, claiming negligence by the state.

In its legal filings, the state has denied any negligence and Rauner has said the state has followed all recommendations of federal experts at the Quincy home. In April, Rauner’s veterans affairs director resigned.

Rauner’s veterans affairs director resigns in wake of 13 Legionnaires’ deaths at Quincy home »

In his amendatory veto, Rauner wrote that raising the $100,000 cap on damages to $2 million through the state Court of Claims was “effectively ignoring the impact of vastly expanded future litigation on the fiscal position of the state and its taxpayers.”

“I recognize that the current law is outdated and in need of adjustment,” he wrote. “However, this adjustment should reflect regional and national averages in order to properly compensate those who, once properly adjudicated, were found harmed by the state of Illinois.”

The $100,000 cap was established in 1972.

The vote to override Rauner’s veto on Tuesday came as lawmakers returned to Springfield for what could be their last clash with him, as they consider overriding dozens of the governor’s vetoes less than two months before he leaves office.

Rauner hasn’t made many appearances since losing his re-election bid to Democratic Gov.-elect J.B. Pritzker and hasn’t been publicly defending his vetoes. That’s in contrast to his high-profile four years fighting Democrats who control the General Assembly.
