Thanks to Democrats, Virginia Lt. Governor’s Sexual Assault Accusers Won’t Get Public Hearing

By Tom Pappert

Fairfax’s accusers will not receive a public hearing if Democrats have their way.

Democrat delegates in the Virginia House of Commons are refusing to allow the women accusing Lt. Governor Fairfax of sexual assault the opportunity to publicly go on record with their stories.

In a statement posted to the Virginia House GOP website, House Speaker Kirk Cox revealed that Republicans are behind the effort to give Fairfax’s alleged victims the opportunity to make their accusations in a public forum, and are being barred by Democrats from giving the women the opportunity.

Cox revealed that Republican legislators “have communicated with attorneys representing Dr. Vanessa Tyson and Ms. Meredith Watson,” and learned that “Tyson and Ms. Watson are prepared to share their accounts at a legislative hearing, only if there is bipartisan cooperation to conduct the hearing.”

He elaborated that “Unfortunately, despite the compelling accounts we have heard from Dr. Tyson and Ms. Watson on television in recent days, Delegate Filler-Corn has made clear that she will not agree to a bipartisan General Assembly hearing of any nature,” with the Democrat legislator adding that the party does not believe it is the correct forum for such a hearing.

Accusers Meredith Watson and Dr. Vanessa Tyson have both expressed willingness to meet with Virginia authorities  and legislators to make their accusations publicly. Watson went on record in an op-ed published in February condemning Democrats for refusing to allow her to make her case publicly, even as her personal life was parsed apart by investigators and the media to determine the quality of her character.

Big League Politics reported:

Meredith Watson, who alleges that Fairfax raped her in 2000 while they were both college students, wrote an opinion article in The Washington Post decrying the media and politicians’ short memory, and saying she is willing to testify publicly.

In her article, she said that she has refused calls from politicians and media outlets to make the alleged rape a partisan issue or media talking point, and as such has been ignored.

Watson also stated that reporters and researchers have dug into every facet of her personal life, going as far as researching her elementary school records in an attempt to find evidence she may be untrustworthy or lying about the alleged rape.

Fairfax, who blamed the alleged victims for causing harm to him in the media circus following their accusations, has thus far felt no meaningful consequences for his alleged actions, even after many of his staffers resigned following the accusations.

He was, however, unceremoniously fired from his position as chairman of the Democratic Lieutenant Governors association.

Fairfax remains an elected official in Virginia, with local Democrats circling the wagons to protect him.

NEWSEXCLUSIVE: Racist Ralph Northam Is A No-Show At Census Meeting, Still Hiding

By

Democrat Virginia governor Ralph Northam did not appear at the census meeting at NOVA Community College in Alexandria, as he was scheduled to do on the morning of April 1.

Northam is still keeping a low profile after Big League Politics published his medical school “blackface/KKK” yearbook photo, which exposed Northam’s racist past. President Donald Trump has put Virginia in play for his campaign in the 2020 election.

Big League Politics reported:

Virginia Democrat governor Ralph Northam posed for a blackface photograph.

Big League Politics has obtained photos from Northam’s time at the Eastern Virginia Medical School, from which he graduated in 1984.

Northam and a friend were photographed together — one in blackface, one in Klan robes.

Northam’s quote: “There are more old drunks than old doctors in this world so I think I’ll have another beer.”

Virginia Senator Thinks Trump ‘Emboldens’ White Supremacists, Silent on Racist Ralph Northam

Virginia Democrats might consider getting their own house in order before pointing fingers.

By

Despite the glaring fact that Gov. Ralph Northam (D-Va.) is an obvious racist who has not faced repercussions after Big League Politics exposed him for wearing a KKK robe or blackface during his time in medical school, a U.S. Senator from that state condemned President Donald J. Trump, linking him to white supremacy.

‘The president uses language often that’s very similar to the language used by these bigots and racists. And if he’s not going to call it out then other leaders have to do more to call it out and I certainly will,” Sen. Tim Kaine (D- Va.) said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday morning.

“Well they have problems but- I think the president is using language that emboldens them. He’s not creating them. They’re out there. But you know at the same time as he was tweeting out yesterday his support for the family members in New Zealand, and that was appropriate, he was vetoing the Senate’s rejection of his emergency declaration from Thursday. And he used the word invaders to characterize people coming to the nation’s southern borders which was exactly the same phrase that the shooter in New Zealand used to characterize the Muslims that he was attacking. That kind of language from the person who probably has the loudest microphone on the planet Earth is hurtful and dangerous and it tends to incite violence,” Kaine continued.

Perhaps the Democratic Party of Virginia should get its own house in order before levying accusations of “racism” against Trump. The state’s third most senior politician, Attorney Mark Herring, also a Democrat, admitted to wearing blackface in college too.

Trending: IT’S HAPPENING: Fox News Pulls Judge Jeanine Off The Air

Herring originally called on Northam to resign, but then backed off his call after admitting to his  racism, and after Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, another Democrat, was credibly accused of sexual assault by two women. Kaine’s compatriot Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) did the same thing.

This is proof positive that Democrats do not actually care about racism. They care about weaponizing race to use it as a political tool against Republicans, which is neither moral nor virtuous.

Virginia First Lady Offered Cotton to African-American Students During Mansion Tour

By Richard Moorhead

Northam’s wife may be prone to the same racial gaffes as her husband.

The wife of beleaguered Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is being accused of racial insensitivity for handing cotton to African-American students during tours of the Governor’s mansion, asking them to imagine picking the substance as slaves.

A state employee alleges that Pam Northam handed cotton to her daughter as well as another African-American eighth grader during a school field trip to the Governor’s mansion. Mrs. Northam apparently thought handing a ball of cotton to the students would be an appropriate lesson on the history of slavery in Virginia.

Leah Dozier Walker, the mother of the student who was offered cotton by Pam Northam, suggested the incident was indicative of a lack of reflection over racial insensitivity on the part of the Northams.

“The actions of Mrs. Northam, just last week, do not lead me to believe that this Governor’s office has taken seriously the harm and hurt they have caused African Americans in Virginia or that they are deserving of our forgiveness.”

Virginia’s First Lady has been present throughout her husband’s blackface and KKK college yearbook scandal. She doused a suggestion to “moonwalk” from the beleaguered governor during a press conference in which he attempted to explain away his yearbook controversy. While she may have saved him serious embarrassment in preventing him from moonwalking at a press conference in which he sought to answer racism allegations, she may have been less politically suave in her decision to engage in racially insensitive behavior that many are comparing to her husband’s.

Northam appears obstinate in his desire to remain in office, despite widespread calls from parties such as the NAACP and Virginia state legislators for him to resign.

Virginia Democrats Publicly Thank Jussie Smollett For Taking All The Attention Away From Them

By The Babylon Bee

RICHMOND, VA—Virginia Democrats are breathing a sigh of relief, as the Jussie Smollett hoax has taken the media’s eye off of their political trainwreck, sources confirmed today.

Both Governor Ralph Northam and the state’s attorney general had drawn ire for racist photographs and blackface, while Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax has been facing a number of sexual assault scandals. The governor had also caused controversy with statements that appeared to support infanticide.

But then, “a miracle happened”: actor Jussie Smollett received a threatening letter from Trump supporters – a letter that he apparently helped author. When his fake letter didn’t bring about the desired media attention, he upped the ante by staging an attack on himself.  Since he was unable to find any real Trump supporters that fit into his “white, bigoted, and violent” narrative, Smollett allegedly paid two African-American men to dress in MAGA hats and pretend to assault him at 2 a.m. during a historic cold front in Chicago.

Investigators were immediately suspicious, mainly because no Trump supporters have actually heard of Jussie Smollett, much less do they watch his show, Empire.  Police also said it was highly unlikely that any Trump supporters would be in Chicago in the first place. Fortunately for the politicians caught in various scandals, the resulting fallout from this hoax has drawn the public’s attention away from the Virginia Democrats as they seek to salvage their hold on high political office.

In a joint statement released by Northam, Fairfax, and Herring, the three men said, “We offer our most sincere thanks and praise to Mr. Smollett for allowing our careers to remain intact and for giving Democrats continued control of Virginia’s highest positions of public trust.  We owe you big time, Jussie!”

Gov. Northam has used the distraction to take a much-needed vacation: he has reportedly absconded to Las Vegas where he is viewing the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson show at the Mandalay Bay Casino.  “I want to compare their dancing skills to the moves that I showed off when I dressed in blackface for a med-school party”, Northam told reporters.  “Thanks to [Jussie] I was able to moonwalk out of this political catastrophe.”

“You might call me a… smooth criminal!” he added. He then attempted to moonwalk but was stopped by his wife.

FAIRFAX ACCUSER VANESSA TYSON CALLS OUT VIRGINIA GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR FAILURE TO ACT

By Grace Carr

Screen Shot 2019-02-21 at 4.00.31 PM

Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax accuser, Vanessa Tyson, released a statement Thursday condemning the Virginia General Assembly for its failure to act meaningfully regarding her allegations against the governor.

Despite calls from both Fairfax accusers, Tyson and Meredith Watson, legislative leaders have failed to pursue appropriate action, according to an official statement from the law firm Katz, Marshall & Banks, which is representing Tyson.

The law firm represented Christine Blasey Ford in hearings regarding allegations brought against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“[T]he Virginia General Assembly has remained silent and has taken no action whatsoever in response to her allegations, even after a second woman, Meredith Watson, came forward to report that Lt. Governor Fairfax raped her while they were students at Duke University in 2000,” the statement reads.

While lawmakers in both parties have responded with words of concern, they have utterly failed to act and have stood idly by as Lt. Governor Fairfax has impugned Dr. Tyson’s actions as being politically motivated; verbally attacked Dr. Tyson and Ms. Watson; [and] threatened to file criminal charges against Dr. Tyson if she pursues criminal charges against him. … It now appears that the Virginia General Assembly lacks the political courage to establish a process by which Dr. Tyson and Ms. Watson’s serious allegations of sexual violence suffered at the hands of Lt. Governor Fairfax will be fully investigated. We ask the members of the Virginia General Assembly to consider what message such inaction sends to victims of sexual assault and rape.

Tyson alleges that Fairfax assaulted her while they were at a Democratic National Convention in 2004. Fairfax has vehemently denied the allegations and maintains their encounter was consensual.

Watson alleges that Fairfax raped her in 2000 while they were both students at Duke University. Fairfax has also denied Watson’s allegations(RELATED: Second Fairfax Accuser Slams Calls For An ‘Investigation,’ Wants To Testify Publicly)

Thursday’s statement comes two weeks after Tyson first went public with allegations against Fairfax. Tyson has “made clear that she is willing to cooperate in any investigation by the Virginia General Assembly or other appropriate authorities,” the statement also says.

Virginia’s General Assembly is scheduled to adjourn Friday.

“It is unfathomable that the Virginia General Assembly appears intent on ending its current session without addressing this issue in any meaningful way. We call on the General Assembly to hire experienced independent investigators to conduct a prompt and thorough inquiry of these matters. Credible allegations of sexual assault must not be ignored,” the statement reads.

The assembly must act immediately because Tyson and Watson deserve better than supportive words, according to the statement. The statement also calls for “a credible, transparent process in which all sides have the opportunity to be heard.”

More than 150 alumnae of Watson’s alma mater, The Bryn Mawr School in Baltimore, Maryland, have signed a statement supporting Watson.

Virginia House Delegates Todd Gilbert and Tim Hugo did not immediately reply to The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

USA Today Editor-In-Chief Apologizes For Editing College Yearbook With Blackface Images

By Paul Bois

For some inexplicable reason, February 2019 has turned into the month where blackface photos in college yearbooks come back to haunt people. Just weeks after Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam‘s blackface controversy, reports surfaced that USA Today Editor-in-Chief Nicole Carroll actually edited the 1988-89 Arizona State University yearbook that featured two images of people dressed in blackface.

According to The Wrap, Carroll published a lengthy apology on Thursday for her role in editing the images in the yearbook, which featured two people at a Halloween party dressed as Mike Tyson and Robin Givens. She denounced the images as “horrible” while apologizing for any “hurt” she may have caused.

“The 1988-89 yearbook I edited at Arizona State University included a photo of two people at a Halloween party dressed as Mike Tyson and Robin Givens. It is horrible, and of course the photo should not have been published,” wrote Carroll. “I am sorry for the hurt I caused back then and the hurt it will cause today.”

Carroll said she had no memory of the photo and learned of its existence as part of a “USA Today Network review of yearbooks” from that era.

“The image was discovered as part of a USA Today Network review of yearbooks from that time. I was shocked as I had no memory of that photo,” she continued. “I want to apologize publicly. As journalists, we must hold ourselves accountable as we do others, and it is important to call myself out for this poor judgment.”

As noted by The Wrap, Caroll’s blackface controversy adds to the litany of blackface controversies that have erupted throughout Black History Month, which has embroiled the likes of “The View” co-host Joy Behar and high profile fashion brands.

“Brands like Gucci and Burberry have been forced to apologize for racially insensitive clothing designs,” notes The Wrap. “A Katy Perry shoe design was also yanked. ‘The View’ co-host Joy Behar came in for heat after an old photo of her dressed as a ‘beautiful African woman’ began making the rounds.”

Read Carroll’s full apology:

The news is full of blackface pictures.

There can be no debate about whether or not such images are racist and hurtful. They are.

It was recently brought to my attention that I was involved in publishing such a photo when I was in college.

The 1988-89 yearbook I edited at Arizona State University included a photo of two people at a Halloween party dressed as Mike Tyson and Robin Givens. It is horrible, and of course the photo should not have been published.

I am sorry for the hurt I caused back then and the hurt it will cause today.

The image was discovered as part of a USA TODAY Network review of yearbooksfrom that time. I was shocked as I had no memory of that photo.

Clearly the 21-year-old me who oversaw the book and that page didn’t understand how offensive the photo was. I wish I had.

Today’s 51-year-old me of course understands and is crushed by this mistake.

I want to apologize publicly. As journalists, we must hold ourselves accountable as we do others, and it is important to call myself out for this poor judgment.

Also, I want to continue to grow from this.

As a journalist and editor, I have long championed diversity and inclusion in our newsroom and in our news coverage. I initiated USA TODAY’s current diversity committee. In Arizona, before I arrived at USA TODAY, our newsroom held frequent meetings with diverse communities, asking them to critique our work and help us do better. They always did.

Throughout my career, I’ve had, and will continue to have, newsroom conversations about how we can further educate ourselves and our readers about race, history and prejudice, as well as the serious issues facing women, the LGBTQ community and all marginalized groups.

And we’ll keep talking about how we are doing in recruiting and retaining journalists of color. We cannot cover America if we do not reflect America.

Accountability. Transparency. Education. Discussion.

That is how I grow.

That is how we grow.

POLITICSBlackface-Wearing Virginia AG Lectures About ‘Values’ In Opposition to Border Wall A

An astounding level of hypocrisy on display.

By

The Democrat Attorney General of Virginia, who copped to wearing blackface at a fraternity party in the 1980’s is now lecturing the Trump administration on “values” as his state joins a lawsuit over Trump’s national emergency declaration.

“Concocting a fake emergency to build a needless wall goes against the Constitution and the values America was built on,” said Mark Herring in a statement according to WUSA9.

“President Trump’s ill-advised plan could divert critical funds from actual national security priorities, including military construction projects at bases and facilities throughout Virginia,” the statement continued.

After Big League Politics exposed Gov. Ralph Northam as a racist and Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax as an alleged serial rapist,  Herring decided to admit that he, too, had partaken in racist activities to get ahead of any potential negative press.

Now, he’s asserting some feigned moral authority and lecturing the 63 million plus Americans who voted for a border wall – most of whom have never worn blackface – about America’s “values.” What are those values exactly?

Screen Shot 2019-02-04 at 11.11.39 AM

Further evidence that Herring is an obvious hypocrite is the fact that he called on Northam to resign over Northam’s blackface scandal, but backed off that position when Fairfax’s job was jeopardized.

Sixteen states are throwing a petulant hissy fit over President Donald J. Trump’s National Emergency declaration, which will use Department of Defense funds to build a wall on the southern border.

California is leading the suit (surprise!), and is joined by Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, and Virginia.

NEWSSOUL TRAIN: Ralph Northam Embarks on Racial ‘Listening Tour’

By Patrick Howley

Racist Virginia Democrat governor Ralph Northam is setting off on a “listening tour” of the state to address his own well-documented racist past — which includes blackface or a Klan hood, blackface in emulation of Michael Jackson, and a collegiate screed about “the city streets.”

Northam’s listening tour will also featureNortham describing “what he he has learned from his own experiences,” according to an adviser.

America will be sure to listen closely to what Northam has learned since his racism finally caught up with him.

As protesters call for his resignation, and his own state party abandoned him, Northam is trying to become the world’s least convincing social justice warrior. A Daily Kos poll shows 60 percent of Virginians favor resignation and 24 percent hope he will stick it out.

Ralph Cops To ‘White Privilege’

Ralph Northam said in an interview with CBS’ Gayle King that his racism scandal has been “eye-opening” for him.

“Well, several things, starting with I was born in white privilege and that has implications to it and it is much different the way a white person such as myself is treated in this country …”

“And again, talking to a lot of friends, that has come crystally clear to me this week. I’ve also learned why the use of blackface is so offensive. And yes, I knew it in the past, but reality has really set in.”

“Certainly, Ms. King, I am not the same person now at age 59 that I was back in my early 20s,” Northam stated, noting that “we’re all on a learning curve.”

Ralph Calls Slaves ‘Indentured Servants’

Northam pretty much ruined his “white privilege” apology with this sound byte:

Ralph Starts Reading ‘Roots’

Buzzfeed News reported: “Northam doesn’t plan to hold any more press conferences any time soon. Advisers are in the midst of negotiations with major networks for a nationally televised interview they hope will humanize him. Additionally, his advisers have assigned the governor homework: He’s begun to read Alex Haley’s “Roots”, and “The Case for Reparations,” the seminal essay in The Atlantic by Ta-Nehisi Coates.”

Ralph Ignores African-American Protesters at the Capitol

The African-American community is not very happy with Ralph Northam, but the governor does not appear to be in a hurry to greet the protesters agitating for his resignation.

Ralph Gets Wrecked By Twitter Comments

The embattled governor managed to add a layer of needless disgrace to the memorializing of a fallen state trooper, who deserved to be recognized by an actual respected governor and not a worldwide figure of derision and scorn in the throes of a media firestorm.

“My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Trooper Lucas Dowell. We are grateful for his dedication to the safety of our communities, and for all of those who put themselves in harm’s way to protect others,” Northam tweetedfrom the official Virginia governor’s account.

Here are some of the many anti-Northam comments on the tweet, which prove conclusively that Ralph Northam will never be able to be a real governor at this point and every day that he drags this out without resigning is just another day that he embarrasses the state of Virginia:

“Resign, Northam.

Resign.

Resign.

#TimeToGo

Northam has ALWAYS been part of the problem… we just have proof now

Agreed to condolences, and  !

Just resign already 🙄

DEMOCRATS have ruined my state of VA. We have to choose between a suspected racist or suspected rapist. And they call MAGAs the party of hate? Really?

RESIGN.

Resign dude. This is not going away and we are going to continue to remind you until you step down.

Resign

Why are you still in office??

Please make your next tweet your resignation.

Ralph Gets Wrecked By His Black Former Opponent E.W. Jackson

E.W. Jackson, the black Republican leader who ran against Ralph Northam for lieutenant governor in 2013, delivered a rousing condemnation of the Virginia Democrat governor on the state Capitol steps. Jackson made it clear how repugnant Northam’s views really are — years after Northam refused to shake Jackson’s hand in their 2013 debate.

E.W. Jackson tells Big League Politics that he is hesitant to play the race card, but he genuinely believes that Northam has “racial animus in him,” citing Northam’s refusal to shake Jackson’s hand during their televised debate. Northam is clinging to the governorship after BLP published his blackface-KKK yearbook photograph.

Ralph Says He Darkened His Skin To Look Like Michael Jackson

The moonwalk might have saved him…

Gov. Northam Vows to be Virginia’s “Moral Compass”

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam vowed that he will remain in office and be a “moral compass” amid a slew of scandals engulfing the state’s chain of gubernatorial command.

During an interview on Face the Nation, Gov. Northam touted his own virtue and valor as leadership qualities necessary to guide his constituency through the on-going political turmoil.

“We’ve had a good first year, and I’m a leader,” Gov. Northam told host Gayle King when asked why he “deserves” to remain in office amid myriad calls from both sides of the aisle for his resignation.

“I’ve been in some very difficult situations — life and death situations, taking care of sick children — and right now, Virginia needs someone that can heal. There’s no better person to do that than a doctor.”

“Virginia also needs someone who is strong, who has empathy, who has courage and who has a moral compass. And that’s why I’m not going anywhere,” he asserted.

Northam told King he has “learned” but has “a lot more to learn” from controversy stirred by the emergence of a photo possibly depicting him in ‘blackface’ or a Ku Klux Klan outfit during his time in medical school, although it is unclear if he is either or neither person in the photo, as he has both confirmedand denied his presence in the shot.

However, just days prior to the photograph’s emergence, Northam shocked many when he seemed to endorse post-birth abortion, raising pressing questions about his “moral compass.”

Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax has now been accused by two different women of sexual assault and rape.

Two out of three Fairfax staffers have now resigned, as well as two employees of his political action committee, according to reports.

Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring, who would become governor if Northam and Fairfax should fall, is embroiled in a ‘blackface’ scandal of his own.
