DEMOCRAT BLAMES TRUMP FOR DEMOCRATS BLACKING UP IN THE PAST

Democrat Blames Trump For Democrats Blacking Up In The Past

Argues that blackface Democrats not resigning is “a result of not acting on President Trump’s bigotry”

Steve Watson | Infowars.com – FEBRUARY 8, 2019

A Democrat from Texas, has vowed to impeach the President, attempting to blame Trump over Democrats blacking up in the past.

Rep. Al Green attempted to argue that the refusal of both Virginia’s governor, Ralph Northam (D), and the state’s attorney general, Mark Herring (D), to resign after admissions of wearing blackface in the past is Trump’s fault.

Green stated that it “is but a symptom of a greater syndrome that currently plagues our country as a result of not acting on President Trump’s bigotry.”

So to reiterate Green’s logic, some Democrats blacked up in the 1980s, and it’s Trump’s fault they won’t resign now.

Green added that the Democrats are being protected “to a great extent because the Trump presidency has sent a message that you can be immune to the consequences of bigotry, by daring those with the authority and power to constitutionally remove you from office.”

Green kept digging, adding “We no longer stare bigotry down; bigotry now stares us down.”

“Further, an argument that Governor Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring should resign will subject us to accusations of political hypocrisy if we refuse to take on a bigoted president.” Green continued.

Green has previously introduced articles of impeachment against Trump based on the President “inciting racial divisions”.

“The remedy must be more than talking points about a much-needed conversation concerning bigotry,” Green said in arguing to impeach Trump, adding “We cannot allow bigotry to go unchecked.”

In a weird universe feedback loop, Green’s argument that Trump is to blame for white supremacists going unchecked is exactly what Ralph Northam said before the picture of him in blackface emerged.

Green’s attempt to blame Trump for the blackface scandal has been mirrored by sections of the media, notably NBC News:

“I think it has something to do with what Donald Trump has unleashed. It has something to do with the reservoir that’s underneath our politics that can always be activated at any moment,” argued Princeton University Professor Eddie Glaude Jr. during a NBC panel discussion earlier in the week.

“Donald Trump has normalized this overt display of racism.” MSNBC political analyst Zerlina Maxwell agreed.

Netflix Buys Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Doc ‘Knock Down the House’ for $10 Million

NetlfixAOC1

By Warner Todd Huston

Streaming giant Netflix has shelled out a whopping $10 million for the rights to broadcast a documentary that follows the primary campaign of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and three other candidates.

The film, entitled Knock Down the House, produced and directed by Rachel Lears, was a huge hit at this year’s Sundance Film Festival winning the coveted audience favorite award. The film was a hot ticket for the festival and featured a Skyped address to the crowd made by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez herself at the film’s conclusion.

Netflix pounced quickly to pick up the film rights initially offering $6 million but upping the ante when others began taking notice of the film.

The film follows the 2018 primary challenges mounted by Amy Vilela (NV), Cori Bush (MO), and Paula Jean Swearengin (WV), as well as Ocasio-Cortez. The New Yorker was the only one of the four candidates that went on to win the primary and, hence, a seat in Congress.

Netflix was bound and determined to win the bid for the film, but the competition was hot, Deadline reported. Aside from Netflix, NEON, Focus, Hulu, and Amazon were all in the hunt for the rights to the film.

According to Deadline, the ten million price tag makes Knock Down the House the most expensive documentary sale ever brokered at Sundance.

(THE FBI IS PART OF THE DEEP STATE) – SURVEILLANCE FOOTAGE OF ROGER STONE RAID APPEARS TO SHOW AUTHORITIES DIRECTING CNN

Exclusive: Surveillance Footage of Roger Stone Raid Appears to Show Authorities Directing CNN

Reporters from news network seen speaking with authorities

 | Infowars.com – FEBRUARY 8, 2019

Video surveillance footage of the FBI raid on Roger Stone’s house appears to show authorities giving directions to awaiting CNN reporters before the arrest, prompting fresh speculation as to whether the news network was tipped off in advance.

Despite the road leading to Stone’s home being closed off at both ends, a CNN camera crew and reporters were allowed inside the bubble to catch events live as they unfolded. According to Stone, his neighbors who were out walking their dogs were told to go inside, but CNN was allowed to stay.

Still Photos;

During an interview following the raid, CNN producer David Shortell admitted that he was “waiting” outside Roger Stone’s house at 5am, an hour before FBI agents and police arrived to arrest the former Donald Trump associate.

Shortell claimed that his “reporter’s instinct” was to thank and that he “thought maybe something was happening” because of “unusual Grand Jury activity in Washington DC yesterday”.

However, despite vigorous denials by CNN, questions continued to swirl.

Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker suggested during his testimony earlier today before the House Judiciary Committee that CNN may have been tipped off to the FBI’s raid, promptingCNN justice correspondent Evan Perez to accuse Whitaker of “trying to give oxygen to a conspiracy”.

As we reported earlier, the surveillance footage itself was not released by Stone and was likely leaked by someone inside the House or Senate intelligence committee.

Roger Stone will be on the Alex Jones Show today to discuss latest developments.

More exclusive photos from the raid can be seen below. Video footage will be added to this article later.

CNN Tries To Explain Away Its Own Viewer Poll’s HUGE Numbers For Trump

By Patrick Howley

CNN’s David Chalian struggled to explain why President Trump scored 76 percent “somewhat positive” or “very positive” in the cable network’s instant poll. The poll only counted “speech watchers,” Chalian explained, so Trump’s supporters might have been over-represented because they were watching the speech.

CNN seems to be having a tough night. Incidentally, the CBS News viewer poll also clocked in at exactly 76 percent approval for President Trump’s State of the Union address.

President Donald Trump urged Americans to come together to “Choose Greatness” in his State of the Union address on February 5, 2019.

“Members of Congress, the State of our Union is strong,” President Trump said as members of Congress chanted “USA! USA!”

“That sounds so good,” President Trump noted.

America is on a roll, and the only thing that can stop it is foolish wars, politics, and partisan investigations.

“We must reject the politics of revenge” and work for the “common good,” President Trump said.

“Together we can break decades of political stalemate, we can…build new coalitions.”

“The decision is ours to make. We must choose between greatness or gridlock…vision or vengeance, incredible progress or pointless destruction. Tonight I ask you to choose greatness.”

“We are just getting started.”

“Wages are rising at the fastest pace in decades, and growing for blue-collar workers.”

“Nearly 5 million Americans have been lifted off food stamps.”

“We are considered far and away the hottest economy anywhere in the world. Not even close. Unemployment has reached the lowest rate in nearly half a century.”

“African-American unemployment, Hispanic-American unemployment, and Asian-American unemployment have all reached their lowest levels ever recorded. Unemployment for people with disabilities has also reached an all-time low. More people are working now than at any time in the history of our country. 157 million people at work.”

“We are a net exporter of energy.”

President Trump focused on Christians’ ability to get off drugs. President Trump highlighted the story of Matthew Charles, the first man to be released from prison in accordance with President Trump’s First Step Act.

Relatedly, President Trump vowed to put the drug cartels out of business. Troops are at the border to meet the caravans. “This is a moral issue. The lawless state of our southern border is a threat…to all Americans,” Trump said.

Democrats live behind walls. Why can’t our country?

“Simply put: Walls work, and walls save lives,” President Trump said.

Women in the Democrat caucus gave a rousing ovation for Trump’s announcement that there are more women in the workforce than ever before. “You weren’t supposed to do that!,” the president joked. “Don’t sit yet, you’re going to like this! We now have more women serving in Congress than ever before.”

“USA! USA! USA!” Congress chanted.

“That’s great,” President Trump said.

President Trump demanded Congress pass a bill “to ban the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb.”

“We were born free, and we will stay free,” President Donald Trump vowed.

“America will never be a socialist country.”

“Great nations do not fight endless wars.”

“Our most thrilling achievements are still ahead.”

“Our biggest victories are still to come.”

“We do the incredible. We defy the impossible. We conquer the unknown. This is the time to re-ignite the American imagination.”

“This is the time to rekindle the bonds of love and loyalty…that link us together as American citizens, as neighbors, as patriots.”

“I am asking you to choose greatness…We must go forward together…We must keep America First in our hearts. We must keep freedom alive in our souls. And we must always keep faith in America’s destiny…”

“Thank you, God Bless you, and God bless America,” President Trump said.

BREAKING: NEW LEAD In Jussie Smollett Case – Retailers Of Rope Jussie Wore For Police Identified

CAP

Just over a week ago, obscure actor, Jussie Smollett, made national headlines when he claimed he’d been beaten by two racist and homophobic Trump supporters in Chicago at 2am on one of the coldest nights in years.

Smollette’s story quickly raised suspicions leading to an unprecedented investigation for a crime of this nature.

If Jussie is telling the truth, the crime is heinous and the thugs must be caught and brought to justice. If, on the other hand, Jussie is lying about what happened that night, then HE needs to be brought to justice for wasting tens of thousands of dollars in police resources, not to mention the opportunity costs of all the time not spent on real cases while they chased down this one.

Police are making progress getting to the truth about what, if anything, happened to actor Jussie Smollet.

Rafer Weigel reports:

CAP

Rafer is bravely doing the job of an old fashioned reporter. He’s getting information from official and background sources, and reporting it regardless of political/social implications. Straight. Unbiased. No wonder hacks like DeRay are attacking him!

CAP

He’s reporting what police are saying, Dray. Note the 2nd word in the previous sentence.

CAP

Yeah, that’s just crazy town right there. The police have been extremely consistent in treating Mr Smollett as a victim of a crime. If anything, Mr Smollett is receiving preferential treatment. How many other muggings in his neighborhood receive this many police man hours? This is not the only alleged racial attack to go down in the very high rent Streeterville neighborhood. (He’s living with the 1%ers fo sho!) Has there ever been a police response of this magnitude for any other similar crime that happens regularly in Chicago?

In fact, just last year, this same neighborhood had to putout warnings due to violent attacks. I wonder how many man hours were spent investigating these crimes vs those alleged by Jussie Smollett.

DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSWOMAN TELLS BLACK TEEN CONSERVATIVE: “BE AFRAID OF US”

Democratic Congresswoman Tells Black Teen Conservative: "Be Afraid of Us"

Nydia Velázquez in bizarre threat

Democratic Congresswoman Nydia Velázquez appeared to threaten black teen conservative CJ Pearson during a Twitter exchange when Velázquez told the 16-year-old, “be afraid of us”.

The spat began when Pearson remarked that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appeared to be constantly talking throughout Trump’s State of the Union speech while “the woman next to her keeps trying to look the other way.”

Screen Shot 2019-02-07 at 11.00.30 AM

Velázquez responded aggressively, tweeting, “Hi @TheCJPearson, I’m not “the woman sitting next to her”. @AOC and I — and millions like us — are the future of this country. And you’re right to be afraid of us. But you should learn my name.”

Screen Shot 2019-02-07 at 11.01.25 AM

Pearson hit back, tweeting, “I’m sorry, Congresswoman, but as @realDonaldTrump said – socialism will NOT be the future of this country. And Nydia, nothing about you nor @AOC scares me. It’s your policies- that jeopardize the stability of our nation and the future of my generation- that scare me.”

Screen Shot 2019-02-07 at 11.03.24 AM

Velázquez’s remarks were particularly unsavory following the left’s demonization campaign against the Covington high school students, which prompted threats of violence and doxxing.

“Once she realized she’d more or less threatened a black teenager on Twitter, she either a) called an emergency crisis management session of her staff; or b) shrugged and figured the media would cover for her and it was nothing to worry about,” remarked Dan Calabrese.

“B is probably right because neither minorities nor minors get any deference from the MSM if they’re conservative.”

Pearson had the last laugh.

ABC Silent on Behar Blackface

By Patrick Howley

ABC has yet to release a statement on “The View” host Joy Behar dressing as a black woman, replete with light blackface.

ABC News communications head Julie Townsend did not return Big League Politics’ request for comment on whether the Disney-owned network stands behind Behar, who showed her “African woman” costume on the air.

Big League Politics reported on Tuesday:

Joy Behar, the anti-President Trump commentator on ABC’s “The View,” wore blackface at the age of 29 to a Halloween party.

“It was a Halloween party, I went as a beautiful African woman,” Behar said in a past View segment in which she revealed the photo of herself.

Asked if she had tanning lotion on, Behar replied: “I had makeup that was a little bit darker than my skin.”

Democrats Mute Calls for Va. Resignations With Power at Risk

Screen Shot 2019-02-07 at 10.21.19 AM.png

By Alan Suderman & Nicholas Riccardi

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Prominent Democrats came down hard on Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam after he apologized for a racist photo. But they were quieter as two more scandals — one involving race, another a sexual assault allegation — rocked Virginia’s statehouse.

The subdued response from national Democrats shows how their zero-tolerance approach has put them in a bind. The party has prided itself on policing its own and hoped to contrast that record with the GOP’s tolerance of misbehavior by President Donald Trump. Now the party will have to decide whether to stick with its principles or retain its political power.

“The party’s put in an odd position,” said Liam Donovan, a Republican strategist who, like much of the political world, watched Virginia’s developments with astonishment Wednesday. “Let’s say they live by their standards and clean house. The stakes are very real now because the line of succession goes through the other side.”

Last Friday, a picture of a man in blackface on Northam’s medical school yearbook page surfaced. During a press conference Saturday, Northam insisted he was not in the yearbook photo but admitted he had once worn blackface. Virginia’s Attorney General, Mark Herring, said, “It is no longer possible for Gov. Northam to lead our Commonwealth.”

On Wednesday, the Democrat who would succeed Northam, Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, reeled from a detailed statement released by a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her 15 years ago.

Later Wednesday, Herring, the Democrat who would succeed Fairfax, admitted he had worn blackface while in college.

If all three Democrats stepped down, Republicans would take over the state’s top offices. The GOP speaker of the House of Delegates, Kirk Cox, is in line to become governor, and the Republican-controlled House would select a new attorney general. That’s a different dynamic from recent efforts by Democrats to clean house.

In 2017, the party pushed Sen. Al Franken, a Minnesota Democrat, to resign after several women accused him of sexual harassment, but he was replaced by a Democrat. When interparty fury rained down on Northam after the photo came to light last Friday, it seemed likely he’d be replaced by Fairfax.

“The cost for Democrats of getting rid of the office holder are really low,” Seth Masket, a University of Denver political scientist, said of the Northam and Franken scandals earlier this week. “The real test,” he added, would be a scenario in which Republicans could gain a key political office.

Democrats did not seem to pass that test Wednesday. No Democratic presidential contender candidate issued any statement calling for the resignations of Herring or Fairfax, whose accuser, Vanessa Tyson, is represented by the same law firm that represented future Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s first accuser, Christine Blasey Ford.

South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who is exploring a Democratic presidential bid, told NBC, “I don’t know that this is a set of decisions we can automate because each of these cases brings different elements to it.”

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker told reporters at the Capitol that “it takes tremendous courage for someone to come forward in the way that she did. This is a deeply disturbing allegation that should be thoroughly investigated.”

Screen Shot 2019-02-06 at 4.03.22 PM

Former HUD Secretary Julian Castro, who was the first presidential candidate to call for Northam’s resignation, told MSNBC it was important for the party to confront the issue. “This can be painful,” Castro said. “But I’m confident that at the end of that day, what we’re going to have is not only a stronger Democratic Party, more importantly we’re going to have a stronger country that lives by these values of respect for everybody.”

Jennifer Wexton, a newly elected Democratic congresswoman representing Northern Virginia, tweeted, “I believe Dr. Vanessa Tyson.” And Al Sharpton, the prominent black activist and television personality, told BuzzFeed News that Herring and Northam should resign and that he’d lead protests against the two politicians. The National Organization of Women called for Fairfax’s resignation.

Part of the reticence to talk was clearly the speed at which the allegations surfaced. Northam’s inner circle was taken aback by how quickly national figures piled on him. The stampede became so pronounced that Herring himself called for Northam’s departure on Saturday after the governor, at a press conference, admitted he’d worn blackface before but denied he was the person in the yearbook photo.

State Sen. Barbara Favola, a Democrat, showed signs of weariness when asked about the new allegations Wednesday. “I have to think about this, I really do,” she said. “I have to take a breath and think about this. This is moving way too quickly. My goal is to be fair to everyone concerned.”

Democrats were also visibly frustrated that Republicans were capitalizing on the scandals. Cox, for example, said Herring “should adhere to the standards he’s set for others or lose credibility” and called the allegations against Fairfax “shocking.”

Guy Cecil, head of the major Democratic super PAC Priorities USA, was one of the earlier national Democrats to demand Northam’s resignation. On Wednesday afternoon, he tweeted: “The past actions of Virginia’s leaders are abhorrent, but many Republicans around the country are engaged in modern-day Jim Crow voter suppression. They need to sweep their own porch before sitting in judgment of another.”

Sen. Tim Kaine, a Virginia Democrat who is close to Northam but has called for his resignation, acknowledged the frustrations of other members of his party. He told reporters in the Capitol that he couldn’t judge yet what should happen to Fairfax or Herring but that Democrats shouldn’t worry about the political consequences.

“When the politics are bad — and they’re bad — and everything else sucks, as it does now, just follow the principles,” Kaine said. “Just ask, ‘What is the right way to treat people?’ And that actually makes it clearer.”
