FLASHBACK: Nadler Was Outraged When Dem AG Holder Was Held In Contempt Of Congress

By Joseph Curl

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler has been leading the effort to hold Attorney General Bill Barr in contempt of Congress, claiming the move is needed to stem a “constitutional crisis.”

But he felt completely differently back when Republicans held then-Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for rejecting demands to turn over documents about the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.

“Just joined the #walkout of the House chamber to protest the shameful, politically-motivated GOP vote holding AG [Eric] Holder in contempt,” Nadler wrote on Twitter in 2012.

CAP

The Judiciary Committee voted 24-16 on Wednesday to recommend Barr in contempt of Congress, saying he has not handed over the full, unredacted report from special counsel Robert Mueller. President Trump has asserted executive privilege to keep some sensitive parts of the report secret. Said Nadler: “We are now in a constitutional crisis.”

After the vote, Donald Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter: “Ahhh the irony. Political hacks gonna hack.”

CAP

Others quickly piled on. “Nadler now says the White House ‘stonewalling’ Congress represents an attack on ‘the essence of our democracy’ – as though stonewalling were some new phenomena,” former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said in an op-ed for Fox News. “Where was Nadler’s righteous indignation when the stonewalling came from a Democratic White House?”

“America should not mistake this charade by the Democrats for a principled stand,” he wrote. “Not when the principles shift with the political fortunes of the Democratic Party.”

Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida also weighed in.

“The fight with Barr is a political stunt. Real oversight was when House sought documents about #FastandFuriousan Eric Holder program that allowed guns to reach drug cartels in Mexico. Holder & Obama refused to give Congress information about it,” Rubio wrote.

CAP

“Nadler was also accused of hypocrisy last month by GOP critics for his subpoena of the unredacted Mueller report, with critics pointing to video from the Clinton days showing him urging caution regarding the release of details from then-Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr’s report,” Fox News reported.

“But now a different political landscape compels the chairman to adopt new standards of fairness, ignore existing law and demand the material he once considered ‘unfair to release,’” Committee Ranking Member Doug Collins, R-Ga., said.

Back when the House held Holder in contempt, then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Republicans the move was purely political. “What is happening here is shameful,” she said then.

So what’s it this time, Nancy?

Three Suspected Illegal Aliens Arrested in Alleged Prostitution Ring Bust

By

Three illegal aliens living in Louisiana have been arrested and charged with various crimes after police busted what they believe to be a prostitution ring.

“St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched on April 17 to a home on Cherry Street in Slidell after receiving a report of a home invasion and attempted kidnapping,” according to WLL4. “The attempted kidnapping victim pointed deputies to three men sitting in a car outside the residence. She said one of the men, identified as 27-year-old Enrique Pacheco-Ayuso, entered the home armed with a gun and tried to force her into the vehicle.”

Police then turned their attention to the vehicle, occupied by three men, including Pacheco-Ayuso. They found cocaine and a firearm inside.

“Pacheco-Ayuso was arrested on multiple felony charges including attempted kidnapping,” the report said. “The other two occupants of the vehicle, 24-year-old Juan Zavala and 19-year-old Josadac Gomez-Bonilla, were arrested and booked on firearm and drug charges.”

After further investigation, victim of the attempted kidnapping, a 45-year-old woman named Tammy Faye, was involved in a prostitution ring with the Pacheco-Ayuso. She was arrested on human trafficking charges, and the same charges were levied against Pacheco-Ayuso on top of his previous charges.

According to the report, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is involved in the investigation, which means that the suspects are likely illegal aliens.

Despite the many violent crimes committed by illegals on American soil, the esteemed elected officials in Washington, D.C., have done little to close the United States’ wide open borders.

Big League Politics reported:

As illegal border crossings surge, Democrats blocked a meaningful amount of wall funding in the 2019 federal budget. President Donald J. Trump declared a National Emergency to address the issue, with plans to divert Department of Defense funding for the project, for which several heavily-blue states immediately sued his administration.

In addition to failing to deliver wall funding during 2017 and 2018, 12 Republican Senators voted against the president’s emergency wall funding, including Sens. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska).

Tuesday, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released a video showing human smugglers easily sneaking a woman and her child across the border in southern Arizona.

Senate Passes Bill to End Trump’s National Emergency 12 Republicans Support… Falls Short of Veto-Proof Majority

The Senate passed a resolution on Thursday that would end President Donald Trump’s national emergency on the border with less than a veto-proof majority; however, the president has already threatened to veto the legislation.

The Senate passed on a resolution Thursday, 59-41, that would end President Donald Trump’s national emergency. The vote featured strong Democrat support for the bill and a surprising amount of Republicans voting for it. The House passed its version of the resolution in February with the help of 13 Republicans.

Several Senate Republicans voted against President Trump’s national emergency.

REMEMBER THESE NAMES NEXT ELECTION!

Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), Mitt Romney (R-UT), Mike Lee (R-UT), Rand Paul (R-KY), Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), Pat Toomey (R-PA), Jerry Moran (R-KS), Rob Portman (R-OH), Roger Wicker (R-MS), Marco Rubio (R-FL), and Roy Blunt (R-MO) voted in favor of eliminating Trump’s national emergency, which would make it harder to secure America’s southern border.

Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC), who previously signaled he would vote to end the emergency, said he will back Trump’s emergency after Trump said he will work with Republicans on a president’s national emergency authority. Tillis is up for re-election in 2020.

Sens. Cory Gardner (R-CO), Mike Braun (R-IN), Richard Shelby (R-AL), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Joni Ernst (R-IA), and Pat Roberts (R-KS) voted in favor of the national emergency.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) voted against the national emergency.

Many Senate Republicans have stood by the president and have said Trump is right to take action to secure the southern border.

Sen. Graham said in a statement on Thursday, “I voted with President Trump and rejected Nancy Pelosi’s motion of disapproval regarding the emergency declaration to build a barrier on the southern border.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said ahead of the vote that she will vote to keep Trump’s national emergency, stating:

Since Congress gave emergency powers to the executive branch in 1976 under the National Emergencies Act, presidents from both political parties have declared national emergencies in the United States over situations far less dire than the security and humanitarian crisis that is currently plaguing the southern border. The president and Congress must take swift action to secure our border, protect our citizens, and defend our sovereignty. I support President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency, and I reject the resolution of disapproval.

Sen. David Perdue (R-GA) told Breitbart News recently that, despite some media reports, there remains a “five-alarm crisis” at the southern border.

“There’s a five-alarm crisis going on down there. It’s not just the human traffic; it’s the drug traffic,” Perdue said in a statement to Breitbart News. “This is not just about building the wall; it’s about closing the loopholes and getting border patrol agents the resources they need.”

The Georgia conservative traveled in February to the southern border with Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT) and witnessed first-hand the border crisis. Perdue told Breitbart News that the border crisis was “staggering.” The two Republicans saw illegal crossing hotspots and received real-time briefings from border patrol agents.

Daines told Breitbart News that he backs Trump’s national emergency, contending that without a secure border, every state is a border state.

“Montana is a northern border state with a southern border problem. Our communities all over Montana are being torn apart by the flood of Mexican meth coming through the southern border,” Daines said. “We must protect our citizens and secure the border.”

Many Republican senators have said they oppose any form of executive overreach, which includes former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) illegal alien amnesty.

However, one federal district judge ruled in August 2018 that DACA was illegal, whereas many lawyers have argued that Trump has the authority under the National Emergencies Act of 1976 to reappropriate money to build the wall.

The Senate vote announcement comes as a Morning Consult/Politico poll suggests that nearly three-quarters of Republican voters would more likely vote for a candidate if they backed Trump’s national emergency on the border.

In an interview with Breitbart News this week, President Trump said he found it “hard to believe” that any Republican would vote against his efforts to secure the border.

Emergency Declaration Drama Mitch Fails to Prevent Revolt as Border Remains Open

Screen Shot 2019-03-04 at 3.59.17 PM

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has broken a reported promise to President Donald Trump, admitting Monday that he failed to prevent Republican Senators from passing a resolution blocking a national emergency declaration on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Speaking at an event Louisville, McConnell said that while the resolution will pass in the Senate, it is highly likely the House will vote to uphold the president’s veto. “What is clear in the Senate is that there will be enough votes to pass the resolution of disapproval, which will then be vetoed by the president and then in all likelihood the veto will be upheld in the House,” he said.

The admission comes after Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) announced Sunday that he joined three of his fellow Republican senators to vote with 47 Senate Democrats in backing an anti-declaration resolution which passed the House. “I can’t vote to give the president the power to spend money that hasn’t been appropriated by Congress. We may want more money for border security, but Congress didn’t authorize it. If we take away those checks and balances, it’s a dangerous thing,” Paul said, the Bowling Green Daily News reported.

In addition to Paul, Sens. Thom Tillis (R-NC), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Susan Collins (R-ME) will also support the measure, while Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), Cory Gardner (R-CO), and Marco Rubio (R-FL) have not made their position on resolution public.

Later this month, the Senate will vote on the resolution to prevent President Trump from reallocating, without Congress, billions of dollars to fund the construction of a Southern border wall. In February, President Trump announced that he would declare an emergency to build the wall after Congress passed legislation providing $1.3 billion for barriers. He plans to divert $3.6 billion from military construction of the wall and transfer another $3.1 billion towards the construction. As the New York Times reported, McConnell promised the president to support the declaration, signaling that he would quell any opposition to the measure.

[A]fter a particularly unpleasant meeting with the secretary of homeland security, Kirstjen Nielsen, the president was threatening to torpedo the deal, according to two people briefed on the exchange. Several hours and several phone calls later, McConnell had persuaded Mr. Trump to once again agree to sign the bill to avert another government shutdown looming at midnight Friday.

But persuasion came at a price: The president would declare a national emergency to try to secure wall funding without congressional approval, he told the majority leader — and Mr. McConnell would have to back him.

Later in his remarks Monday, the Senate Majority Leader said attempted to talk the president out of issuing a declaration, saying that it may set a precedent of abuse by future Democrat administration seeking to prosecute their progressive agenda without Congress. “That’s one reason I argued without success that he not take this route,” McConnell said.

“I was one of those hoping the president would not take the national emergency route,” added the Kentucky Republican. “Once he decided to do that I said I would support it, but I was hoping he wouldn’t take that particular path.”

Neocons and Media Unite to Attack Trump’s Syria Decision

By Mark Alan

President Trump’s decision to withdraw US troops from Syria has been met with some push back among neoconservatives and the media. Although the move seems consistent with the presidents previous statements about the conflict, that didn’t stop some from expressing shock over the decision. Undoubtedly, the two loudest voices among Republicans were Senators Lindsey Graham and Marco Rubio.

Graham called the move an “Obama-like” mistake. Rubio, apparently trying to establish himself as the leading figure of the neoconservative movement, went as far as calling the president’s decision a “retreat.” Graham and Rubio have both expressed past support for using the US military to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The response from many in the media hasn’t been too different from that of the neocons. CNN’s Erin Burnett strongly condemned President Trump’s decision. She said the president was giving Vladimir Putin an early Christmas present by withdrawing US soldiers from Syria. However, she failed to articulate why she believes the lives of US soldiers are less valuable than the alleged disruption between the US and Russia.

Burnett wasn’t the only CNN personality to attack the president for his decision. CNN’s Fareed Zakaria also bashed the withdraw of US troops from Syria. He claimed President Trump was making an even bigger mistake than former president George W Bush’s “mission accomplished” fiasco during the Iraq War. It’s worth noting that Zakaria is one of many prominent members of the media who supported the decision to invade Iraq.

Anchors from other networks also condemned the president’s choice to withdraw troops from Syria. Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade called Trump’s decision “stunning and irresponsible.” He also suggested the president was “cutting and running.” MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough expressed similar sentiments on his show this morning.

The reaction of the neoconservatives and like minded members of the media shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. The two groups have united numerous times in the past, salivating at the idea of a ground war to overthrow Assad in Syria. Thankfully, peace has prevailed.

United States military forces have been in Syria for over four years. The first known instance of American troops fighting on the ground in Syria occurred in July of 2014, as part of a hostage rescue operation. The Global War on Terror has already cost US tax payers nearly 6 trillion dollars. To provide that number some context, the combined value of the entire US housing market is worth about 30 trillion dollars.

Elsewhere, President Trump’s decision has been met with praise. Senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul both applauded the president’s withdraw of troops from Syria. Senator Paul saidthe president’s decision is another example of Trump keeping his campaign promises. Paul further defended the move, saying the president’s decision in Syria illustrates why he won the 2016 election.

“Conservative” Erick Erickson suggested Thursday that folks at all levels of our military are so outraged that they won’t have the chance to die in Syria as a result of President Trump pulling out that they might stage a coup to keep the war going.

“If we lived in a lesser country than our great nation, today is the day we really would be talking about a military coup,” Erickson tweeted. “Soldiers down to the enlisted ranks are raising hell about the President’s Syria decision.”

Erickson later claimed he wasn’t advocating for a coup but merely saying our country is so great because “we live in a stable democracy where the military can disagree and still carry out orders.”

Democrats Launch Training Sessions for “1000 Volunteer” Lawyers to Manage Recount and Steal in Florida

By Jim Hoft

Democrats have produced tens of thousands of ballots several days after the election–even worse, Broward County refused to disclose how many ballots they had left to tabulate which allowed them to count however many they needed to bring the Democrats within the margin of a recount.

While Republicans have ‘election day,’ the Democrats enjoy ‘election week’ or ‘election month.’

67 Florida counties have until 3 PM Thursday to finish their recount of the midterm ballots.

Palm Beach County was given extra days to finish their recount.

Criminal investigations were launched against Broward and Palm Beach County election officials following the mysterious 80,000 votes that suddenly appeared two days after election day in Broward County.

Sean Hannity told his audience on Wednesday that he has information that evidence has been turned over to law enforcement on criminal activity in Broward County.

Democrats are organizing an army of lawyers to assist the steal in Florida.

Breaking Report: Broward County Deputy Says Civil Rights Attorneys Were Handing Out Absentee Ballots to Inmates AFTER ELECTION? (Update)

Capture

Protesters outside the Broward County Elections headquarters (By Ann Vandersrteel)

By Jim Hoft

A Broward County Sheriff’s deputy says attorneys were collecting ballots AFTER the election last Tuesday.
We are looking into this—

Friday Novemeber 9, 2018 5:30pm — Annie Marie Delgado, President of TrumpTeam Florida 2020, conference called Ann Vandersteel with a a current DOJ employee and was a former high ranking Broward County law enforcement officer. He stated at 7:00 AM that same morning he received a call from a deputy in the Broward County jail. The Deputy said there was “corruption going on inside the jail and that he had never seen anything like it.”

Six months prior to this the Supervisor of Elections allowed non-felon inmates awaiting trial in jail to register to vote. This did not occur due to the security risk it posed if civilians were allowed to walk through the jail doing the voter registration and absentee ballot requests.

* It was previously reported that mass murdered Nikolas Cruz was registered to vote from jail in Broward County

The Broward County Deputy explained that on Thursday November 8, 2018, after the midterm election, absentee ballots were delivered to the jail for the inmates and the deputies were told to pass them out.

Civil rights attorneys arrived on last Thursday and demanded to see the inmates. They were not the inmates personal attorneys of record. The attorneys wanted to know if the inmates had received their absentee ballots in the mail. As these attorneys were not the inmates’ attorneys of record, Sheriff Scott Israel should not have granted them access to the inmates. Protocol would have the attorneys sign into the jail, yet there is no record.

Ballots stacked up outside the elections headquarters (By Ann Vandersrteel)

The Deputy stated that the civil rights attorneys providedg the inmates with the narrative that they never received their absentee ballot. The liberal attorneys said the prisoners were denied the right to vote and they were to file a grievance with the deputies at the jail.

Questions to ask the Supervisor of Elections, Brenda Snipes, and local Broward County authorities:
1. All of the incoming and outgoing mail is X-rayed at the Broward jail. Does the Broward County jail show evidence of absentee ballots sent and returned?

2. How many ballots were delivered to the Broward County jail and when were they delivered?

3. If the inmates filled out these absentee ballots after the election ended, will they be counted as provisional ballots like military and oversees ballots? With 6000 inmates and approximately 5000 currently non-felons waiting sentencing, that would be a considerable number of votes.

4. Will a class action civil rights lawsuit be filed against the Supervisor of Elections and the Broward County Sheriff for voter suppression?

** The Gateway Pundit contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s office for comment.

The Broward County Public Information Officer told The Gateway Pundit their office acts as the courier between the local Supervisor of Elections and inmates. The practice of registering inmates for elections is not uncommon in Broward County or in other US jails. Jails and prisons are different — the rights of inmates in jails are different than inmates in prison who lose their rights. She said it was standard practice. She referred us to the local SOE for further comment.

We are still collecting information on the absentee ballot actions after the election.

UPDATE—

Parkland High School shooter, Nikolas Cruz was registered to vote while in jail. That would have to be done by a SOE employee and approved by Sheriff Scott Israel.

  • Nikolas Cruz, the young man who gunned down 17 students and staff at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Broward County, was registered to vote. How is this possible? He is in solitary confinement 23 out of 24 hours / day. There are cameras that record anyone coming or going from his cell. Who is the SOE employee that registered him to vote?
  • We need to see the voter registration card for Nikolas Cruz. Did he sign it? Was the form hand filled out?
  • How many absentee ballots were sent to the Broward County Jail at 555 SE 1st Avenue?
  • What date did the SOE send the absentee ballots?
  • How many people (inmates) are registered to vote at the 555 SE 1st Avenue (Broward Country Jail) address?
  • Did the attorneys sign in to the jail and can we subpoena the jail video server to see activity on Thursday November 8, 2018?

This story is developing.

ELECTION FRAUD EXPERT: BROWARD COUNTY’S BRENDA SNIPES ‘FOUND BALLOTS’ IN 2012 TOO

Election Fraud Expert: Broward County’s Brenda Snipes ‘Found Ballots’ in 2012 Too

There is “clearly an organized effort to manipulate and alter outcomes.”

Breitbart – NOVEMBER 13, 2018

Broward County, Florida election official Brenda Snipes — who is continuing to find new ballots in the recent statewide midterm elections for Governor and the U.S. Senate — was previously accused of finding ballots after an election in 2012.

Government Accountability Insititute (GAI) research director Eric Eggers exclusively told SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight‘s Senior Editor-at-Large Rebecca Mansour that Snipes allegedly “found ballots” following an election in 2012.
Eggers said:

Eggers said there is “clearly an organized effort to manipulate and alter outcomes,” noting that in Miami-Dade County, about 108 provisional ballots were eliminated in the midterm election because they were from individuals who had voted twice.

In a recent piece for Breitbart News, Eggers reviewed Snipes’ history of allowing illegal aliens and felons to vote in elections in Broward County, along with her destroying of ballots.
