REPORT: Pelosi Signals State of Union Shutdown, Tells Democratic Caucus Members Not to Invite Family to D.C.

A Wednesday morning report from a CNN correspondent said that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told Democratic caucus members not to invite their families to Washington D.C. next week, signaling that the State of the Union speech will not happen as planned.

“Speaker Pelosi advised members not to bring family to Washington next week, an implication that the State of the Union is not going to happen, per source in a morning caucus meeting. Members often invite spouses and other family to attend the SOTU,” explained Manu Raju on Twitter.

If true (this is a CNN report, remember) Pelosi’s actions would represent an escalation in the border wall funding feud between Democrats and President Donald J. Trump.

Saturday, Trump offered the Democrats an extension of President Barack H. Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program in exchange for wall funding. Pelosi and company swiftly declined the deal, shifting the burden of the shutdown onto the Democrats.

Before that, Pelosi surprised the Trump administration by saying that she would disinvite him from the State of the Union speech – not that he needs her permission to convene Congress.

Trump responded by cancelling Pelosi’s taxpayer-funded trip abroad, just one hour before she and a Congressional delegation were set to go wheels up from Andrews Air Force Base, an epic power move.

World leaders are soon to meet behind walls and tight security at the World Economic Forum held annually in the Swiss Alps.

This, of course, begs the question: if walls don’t provide security, then why else are Democratic lawmakers refusing to fund President Trump’s proposed border wall as the government shutdown enters its 32nd day?

Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelsoi (D-Calif.) tried to soften Democratic oppositionby pushing for a virtual, technological wall in lieu of a physical barrier requested by President Trump.

Desperate Democrat Calls Trump ‘Grand Wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue’

Democrat congressman Hakeem Jeffries is predictably resorting to racial divisiveness in his attempt to stop the winning streak of President Donald Trump, who is singlehandedly changing the economic demographics in this country with policies targeted toward African-American and minority employment and advancement.

“These are challenging times in the United States of America — we have a hater in the White House, a birther in chief, the grand wizard of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” Jeffries said. “One of the things that we’ve learned is that while Jim Crow may be dead, he still got some nieces and nephews that are alive and well,” Jeffries reportedly said at a National Action Network event attended by Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand.

President Donald Trump has fulfilled another populist promise by creating new Opportunity Zones in urban and rural areas, where developers will receive tax cuts and incentives to build up some of our most run-down neighborhoods.

President Trump credited Senator Tim Scott for his cooperation in Congress, and BET head Bob Johnson also spoke at the White House event with Dr. Ben Carson and pastor Darrell Scott where the president announced the executive order. There are now 9,000 neighborhoods designated as Opportunity Zones. NBC News — apparently mad that Trump is helping poor people — ran a hit piece saying the Trump Organization might enjoy some of the tax breaks. What a sad mainstream media narrative! Populist Republican Jack Kemp, deceased, whom Paul Ryan pretends to idolize, wanted to create so-called “economic freedom zones” for many years, and Rand Paul has also pushed the idea.

Trump railed against “geographic disparity” in our country’s economic opportunities in his signing ceremony at the White House.

Democratic Party Complicit in Anti-Semitism From Freshman CongresswomenJanuary

Nancy Pelosi and Democratic leadership announced today that anti-Semitic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar would be appointed to the Foreign Affairs Committee. Earlier this week, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib met with a Hezbollah supporter known for espousing hatred of the Jewish people. The two freshman representatives are America’s first Muslim congresswomen, but their historic elections have been greatly overshadowed by their views of the Jewish people.

The Democratic Party has been ignoring anti-Semitic views on the left, and with Omar’s appointment to the Foreign Affairs Committee, they now appear to be rewarding it. Anti-Semitism has been creeping into Democratic politics for quite some time now. Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz has been extremely critical of the Democratic Party for their embrace of anti-Semitic candidates, and has repeatedly referred to comparisons of Donald Trump and Hitler by Democrats as a form of Holocaust denial.

Congresswoman Omar has repeatedly refused to apologize for a 2016 tweet in which she called Israel evil, and accused the nation of “hypnotizing” the planet. When asked about the comments yesterday during an interview with CNN, Omar bizarrely said it was regrettable she was being criticized. Omar also feigned surprise at the question, pretending she had never heard it before, even though she has been asked about the tweet countless times in the past.

During Representative Rashida Tlaib’s first day in congress, Buzzfeed reported that a map in her congressional office was altered to replace Israel with a Post-It Note reading “Palestine.” Earlier this month, Tlaib raised more eyebrows when she was photographed meeting with a man known for his anti-Semitic views. The man is a Hezbollah supporter, and has advocated removing all Jewish people from Israel. Tlaib has accused members of congress of being more faithful to Israel than the United States, promoting the anti-Semitic view that the US is somehow obedient to Israel.

Both Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar support a boycott of Israeli goods and services, commonly referred to as BDS. Both congresswomen have also accused Israel of discrimination. Neither woman has advocated boycotting any country except for Israel, and it’s blatantly obvious their promotion of the boycott is rooted in anti-Semitism. So far, Democratic leadership has shown no desire to defend the Jewish people against these vile anti-Semitic attacks.

“Is Buzzfeed going to make something up? No, they’re not a right-wing publication,” The Young Turk’s Cenk Uygur declared Friday after reading Buzzfeed’s “bombshell” report claiming Donald Trump told Michael Cohen to lie to congress.

“Can they get something wrong? Sure, of course, anybody can get something wrong — but this is a huge, huge deal and am I vouching for Buzzfeed,” Uygur said.

“So how do I know that BuzzFeed got the story right?” he said. “On a couple of fronts, first of all they talked to a couple of sources that have this information that are in the federal government.”

“They’re not going to make up that they have federal government sources if they don’t,” Uygur said. “And why would those government sources put this out there if it isn’t true?”

He went on to say Trump’s going to “resign” because the government will threaten to put all his kids in prison.

“Ladies and gentlemen we’re really, really close. We almost got them.”

The Special Council’s office debunked the story hours later.

Trump Proposes DACA, TPS Protections for $5.7B in Wall Funding

During a statement on Saturday, President Trump proposed funding for humanitarian assistance and drug detection technology, increases in Border Patrol agents and immigration judges, changes to the asylum application process for minors, promotion of family reunification, $5.7 billion in border wall funding, and protections for DACA recipients and Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders.

Trump said, “Our plan includes the following: $800 million in urgent humanitarian assistance, $805 million for drug detection technology to help secure our ports of entry, an additional 2,750 border agents and law enforcement professionals, 75 new immigration judge teams…a new system to allow Central American minors to apply for asylum in their home countries and reform to promote family reunification for unaccompanied children, thousands of whom wind up on our border doorstep. To physically secure our border, the plan includes $5.7 billion for a strategic deployment of physical barriers, or a wall. This is not a 2,000-mile concrete structure from sea to sea. These are steel barriers in high priority locations.”

He added that the plan includes “3 years of legislative relief” for DACA recipients, which will “give them access to work permits, Social Security numbers, and protection from deportation,” and 3 years of TPS extension.
