Soros' "Open Society" Driven Out Of Turkey Amid Probe Into Terrorism Ties

The Hungarian-born billionaire financier and his “Open Society” have been driven out of yet another country.

Six months after Hungarian President Viktor Orban succeeded in driving his former mentor, and current nemesis George Soros out of Hungary, the Hungarian-born billionaire financier and his “Open Society” Foundation that has financed an army of liberal NGOs across Europe and the US has been driven out of yet another country.

According to the Guardian, Soros’ Open Society Foundation is formally withdrawing from Turkey after the founder of its Turkey organization was arrested and charged with supporting an opposition figure accused of trying to overthrow the government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The organization announced its decision to withdraw from Turkey amid an interior ministry investigation seeking to uncover links between the organization and protests at Gezi Park in Istanbul in 2013. One of the founders of the Turkish OS branch, Hakan Altinay, was arrested along with 12 others two weeks ago and accused of supporting jailed Osman Kavala, an opposition activist accused of trying to overthrow the Hungarian government with mass protests. Kavala has been accused of supporting terrorism within Turkey, and Open Society has been accused of supporting Kavala.

Back in May, OS closed its Budapest Office and moved its operations to Berlin after the country passed an “Stop Soros” law aimed at making it more difficult for foreign NGOs to operate in the country.

In a speech last week, Erdogan accused Soros of trying to sow instability and discord in Turkish society, and of organizing destabilizing protests.

One of its founders in Turkey, Hakan Altinay, was among 13 people detained 10 days ago. They were accused of supporting jailed rights activist Osman Kavala in trying to overthrow the government through mass protests.

In a speech last week, Erdoğan linked those arrests to Soros. “The person [Kavala] who financed terrorists during the Gezi incidents is already in prison,” he told a meeting of local administrators.

“And who is behind him? The famous Hungarian Jew Soros. This is a man who assigns people to divide nations and shatter them. He has so much money and he spends it this way.”

Though it denied links to the protests, Open Society told the Guardian that it would nevertheless seek to close its office in Istanbul and liquidate its Turkish operations as swiftly as possible. The organization added that it was unsure whether it will be able to continue its Turkish operations.

The foundation said that “new investigations” were trying to link it to the Gezi protests. “These efforts are not new and they are outside reality,” it said

The foundation said it would apply for the legal liquidation of its operations as soon as possible.

According to the New York Times, a representative for Open Society said maintaining the organization’s operations in Istanbul had become “completely untenable.”

“We are deeply dismayed and disappointed that the foundation had to close,” an Open Society spokeswoman, Laura Silber, said on Monday. But, she said, “it became completely untenable.”

Open Society purports to support “justice and human rights” in more than 100 countries; but in more recent years, it has primarily focused on Soros’ liberal agenda of open borders and free trade while resisting the wave of populist sentiment that has swept across Europe and the US.

A teacher was caught on camera berating a student for wearing a Make America Great Again hat in class. The teacher lectures the classroom for several minutes.

Then at the three minute mark the teacher calls the student an “asshole” for wearing the hat.

This is your tax dollars at work — indoctrinating and abusing the conservative kids in class.

In my state, it is legal for a person to record a wire, oral or electronic communication if that person is a party to the communication, or if one of the parties has consented to the recording so long as no criminal or tortious intent accompanies the recording.

Why No Outrage When Obama Admin Used Tear Gas On Illegal Border Crossers?

While the liberal media is brimming with outrage over President Trump’s administration using “tear gas” on caravan migrants attempting to storm the border, there was no such outrage when Obama did the same thing.

Back in 2013, the Obama administration pepper sprayed a group of approximately 100 rock-throwing migrants who attempted to illegally cross our border. The media was relatively silent. However, Sunday’s clash between border patrol and migrants caused a media sensation. The Huffington Post reported that border agents fired tear gas on hundreds of migrants protesting near the border with Mexico on Sunday after some of them attempted to get through the fencing and wire separating the two countries, and American authorities shut down the nation’s busiest border crossing from the city where thousands are waiting to apply for asylum. The situation devolved after the group began a peaceful march to appeal for the U.S. to speed processing of asylum claims for Central American migrants marooned in Tijuana. Bizpacreview.com reported on the difference between the 2013 coverage and Sunday’s clash. The reaction Sunday by the pearl-clutching left and their media allies to the chaotic scene on the southern border could serve as Exhibit A in a case study on hypocrisy, and goes to show that it’s all about politics. Unless the Obama administration is held to a different standard when setting the precedent for actions taken by the Trump administration. Hundreds of illegal immigrants from the migrant caravan made a mad rush on the U.S. border, with some becoming violent, attacking Border Patrol agents with rocks. Shelling, which targeted residential areas of Aleppo on Saturday night, appears to have included a chemical attack. At least 46 people, including 8 children, were hospitalized with symptoms of chlorine gas poisoning, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The attack on the city, which was liberated by the Syrian government two years ago, is believed to have been launched from an area within Idlib, the last Syrian stronghold of jihadists affiliated with Al-Qaeda.

So where are the emergency UN Security Council sessions? The defiant New York Times op-eds? The retaliatory Tomahawk strikes against the last jihadist enclave in Syria?

“They don’t care, because the attack is coming from the wrong side, as it were. If you check the mainstream media coverage globally, it’s a non-event,” global affairs analyst and founder of the 21st Century Wire Patrick Henningsen told RT. Henningsen also noted that the incident demonstrated that “the so-called rebels have the means, the motive and the opportunities to carry out chemical attacks against Syrians.”

But for the children poisoned in the attack, the incident was far from a “non-event.”

“It feels like something is burning inside and my eyes are hurting,” a boy, identified only as Hamza, told a film crew which documented the aftermath of the attack.

“I was at home, then a severe headache kicked in. I started to cough, but couldn’t bear it. Medicines didn’t help, so I was taken to hospital,” a woman said while speaking through an oxygen mask.

Despite crickets from the West, action has been taken to hold the belligerents accountable. Moscow announced on Sunday that the Russian Air Force had struck targets in Idlib’s demilitarized zone, from where Syrian militants are believed to have launched the chemical attack.

Yesterday’s Headline is today’s hoax. The illegal alien mother ‘fleeing’ from the border wall was all a lie. It was a setup.

After further review, yesterday’s ‘horrific’ picture of a woman with barefoot children running from the US border wall was a hoax. In the background of the picture a group of men are posing for one camera man and another is running towards another camera man. In other areas, people are just standing around. The woman with the children was just a photo-op:

In Eastern Europe we don’t want to see our Christian values lost, the West has lost its soul – Polish MP

We had the privilege of talking with Member of Parliament Dominik Tarczyński of Poland’s Law and Justice party. He is also the Vice President of the European Conservatives in Council of Europe, Chairman of the subcommittee on TTIP, a lawyer and a former film-maker.

Do you feel the censorship is an attempt to silence conservatives?

Do your Facebook, do your Twitter, do your blog whatever. We have to fight against it. You have to understand we are fighting against a huge machine which has been built for years.

What can you tell me about the difference between Western Europe and Eastern Europe? How and when did this difference originate?

Values. A nation which are losing their values are losing their soul. This is what is happening now in Poland. Our soul is alive, the west’s soul is dead. In Eastern Europe we don’t want to see our Christian values lost. The West has lost its soul. Poland’s soul is still alive.

You have been very forthright about your views on Islam. Poland has been against taking migrants since the start, why is it such an important issue for Poland?

During the campaign we went to the people of Poland and talked with them. We asked them what to them is most important. We are doing what they want. The issue of illegal immigrants and our safety was the most important.

What is your hope for the future of Poland?

Well first of all we are going to change the Europe. That’s the most important thing. We’re going to reorganise the European Union. And we’re going to get back to hold Europe to the roots of the European Union and Europe.

We’re going to get Europe back to the Christianity. This is who we are. This is what it is about our continent. This is what it is about our way of thinking.

If the politicians would decide to become Muslims, I don’t mind. You know Poland and Europe, most of the Europe states are democratic and anyone can believe whatever he wants to believe, but in Poland I will fight for Christianity for what my ancestors were fighting for. It’s what my grandpa fought for and that’s it, it’s very simple.

I want to be a European. And European doesn’t mean diverse, European means Christian European this is what it is for our continent. Unless, well, Saudi Arabia will decide to be diverse and they will let us build the Cathedral there.

I can pay for it, I don’t mind. I’m serious if they want to have mosques in Warsaw they will have to let me pay for the Cathedral in Saudi Arabia. I will pay for it.

The Polish government have put together a brilliant video of the history of Poland and as Dominik says, this is why they people of Poland will never allow their country to be overtaken by Islam. It is a compelling and moving video that I highly recommend.
