Clinton made the call on MSNBCāsĀ Rachel Maddow showĀ Wednesday night, suggesting Democratic 2020 presidential candidates should seek out the help of the āonly other adversary of ours, whoās anywhere near as good as the Russiansā to hack Trumpās tax returns.
Ignoring the outcome of the Mueller Report and doubling down on her years of unfounded accusations that Russia colluded with election rival Donald Trump, Clinton said: āSince Russia is clearly backing Republicans, why donāt we ask China to back us?ā
āAnd not only that, China, if youāre listening, why donāt you get Trumpās tax returns?ā Clinton continued, echoing comments by Trump in Florida during the 2016 campaign in which he asked if Russia might find Clintonās deleted emails, but did not outright call for her to be hacked.

The fact that Clinton is still peddling a three-year-old āRussiagateā conspiracy theory after it was debunked by the Mueller report, and calling for a foreign power to hack the US president, did not go unnoticed by Twitter commenters, including Kim Dotcom, who called the former secretary of state āsalty.ā

It appears Hillary was toeing the Clinton family line, as the comments come days after her husband and former US President Bill Clinton questioned how it would be received if a Democratic presidential candidate asked China to hack opponents during the 2020 election.

The MSNBC host ascended her Twitter pulpit to share a shocking Washington Post articleĀ detailingĀ how YouTube allegedly recommended an RT videoĀ āhundreds of thousands of timesāĀ to users seeking information about the recently released report by special counsel Robert Mueller.

āDeath by algorithm,āĀ a despondent Maddow commented.
The video in question ā an episode of On Contact, which is hosted by Pulitzer prize-winning American journalist Chris Hedges ā features an interview with Canadian journalist Aaron Mate. A fierce critic of the Trump-Russia collusion theory promoted by mainstream media, Mate recently received an Izzy Award for his contrarian reporting on Russiagate.
While Maddow was apparently horrified by the thought of impressionable Americans watching a video of two acclaimed journalists discussing current events, others were more perturbed by the MSNBC hostās melodramatic tweeting.
āThis YouTube is so much better than the war mongering conspiracy lunacy that comes from you. You should be ashamed to smear good people & good content in such a base & McCarthyite way,āĀ replied one disappointed Twitter user.

Others took issue with Maddowās bizarre suggestion that YouTubeās algorithm could somehow bring aboutĀ ādeath.ā
āāDeath?ā No oneās lives were threatened by a conversation between two award winning journalists about the massive disinformation campaign youāre waged on the minds of suggestible Democrats. But they are endangered by the Cold War youāve helped to stir up,āĀ Max Blumenthal, editor of the Grayzone Project, noted.

Mate himself joined the chorus of criticism directed at Maddow.
āI was interviewed on RT by the Pulitzer-winning journalist Chris Hedges about Russiagate. YouTube recommended it. How fitting then that the leading Russiagate conspiracy theorist calls this ādeath by algorithmā ā to a propagandist, dissent from orthodoxy is ādeathā indeed,āĀ he wrote.

Actually, the entire premise of Maddowās outrage is highly suspect. The Washington Post report quietly notes that the RT video in question has accumulatedĀ āonly about 55,000 views,āĀ and that the interview was by far from the most recommended Mueller-related video.Ā āThe Late Show With Stephen ColbertāĀ was recommended more than five million times, WaPo reported, while other channels, such as Fox and PBS NewsHour, received hundreds of thousands of recommendations for their Russiagate videos.
To make matters even less scary, YouTube disputed the articleās core claims, which were originally made by media watchdog group AlgoTransparency. YouTube said it could not reproduce the groupās data allegedly showing that the RT video had been recommended hundreds of thousands of times by the siteās algorithm.
In fact, the Washington Post story was so shaky that it had to issue a clickbait-deflating correction: An earlier version of their report had erroneously claimed that YouTube had recommended RTās take on the Mueller report more often than other networksā programming.

As Blumenthal observed, the WaPo story appears to be yet another tired attempt to shame anyone who doesnāt regurgitate narratives promoted by US corporate media.

Danielle Moodie-Mills managed to advocate for the censorship of the Trump administrationĀ andĀ disparage the president with clear falsehoods, all in a five minute segment.
SheĀ saidĀ onĀ UpĀ with David Gura:
āWhy are you having [Kellyanne Conway] on, to his point, why are you doing that? The fact is that this administration blatantly lies all of the time. You are doing a disservice to the people of the United States by continuing to have them on, and then just not ask the right questions. Weāre not asking like oh, is the president, maybe the president is a white nationalist, maybe heās a racist. No. The president of the United States is a white nationalist. He is a racist. Everything that comes out of his mouth is either xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, or racist. Right? Thereās no mixing of that.ā
Last week, former vice president and 2020 presidential candidate made a video accusing Trump of calling white supremacists at a Charlottesville rally more than two years ago āfine people.ā That lie has beenĀ debunkedĀ several times over, but for a media thatās desperate to bash Trump after its Russian ācollusionā conspiracy theoryĀ fell apart, falling back on baseless allegations of racism is the only thing they have left.
At the beginning of 2019, an MSNBC contributor publicly denounced the network and left his post over its anti-Trump bias.
Big League PoliticsĀ reported:
A longtime NBC and MSNBC journalist and contributor is leaving the networks over their increasing loyalty to elite military industrial complex puppet-masters, according to aĀ scathing letterĀ he sent to multiple news outlets.
William Arkin, a 30-year veteran of the network, blasted its coverage and analysis of the disastrous foreign policy of the past two decades, accusing the cable giants of playing partisan politics and switching their positions on whether the United States should be involved in unending, un-winnable wars in the Middle East based on their loyalty Democratic Party elite.
This hackery has been painfully apparent over the past two weeks, when the same nets who were noticeably anti-war during the days of President George W. Bush, then noticeably silent when President Barack H. Obama escalated those wars, were outraged when President Donald J. Trump decided to pull troops from Syria and Afghanistan.
MSNBCās Rachel Maddow, who wrote an entire book on the ills of endless war, is the perfect example. SheĀ bashed Trump for yanking the troops out of that endless quagmire, calling his policy āreckless.ā

āWomen have become somewhat overshadowed by white, male candidates,ā said one MSNBC anchor.
Another MSNBC host added, āIt bothers me a little bit that those are three white males, we need to talk about more diversity.ā

Since the release of the Mueller Report last week, which ā despite two years, $30 million, and a team of rabidly partisan left-wing investigators ā found exactly zero crimes of Russia collusion or obstruction associated with President Trump and his campaign, one of the most bizarre results has been watching the media pat themselves on the back for the stories they believe they got correct.
Imagine that. Imagine your industry is so broken and corrupt that all you have left is to point to what you believe you did right. This is like watching an airline pilot brag about the times he didnāt crash, a district attorney point to the people he prosecuted who were not innocent ā or in the words of comedian Chris Rock, a parent boast about taking care of his kids.
Youāre supposed to take care of your kids!
And the media areĀ supposedĀ to get stories correct.
But here is the media forced to brag on when they didnāt crash the plane, when they did take care of the kids, which tells you something is horribly, terribly, ridiculously wrong.
Hey, here are some examples of when we didnāt mislead the country with disinformation!

Check out this one below. Here you have a reporter forced to focus on the āhighlightsā of her outletās reporting because theĀ Washington PostĀ got so much wrong she was able to quickly cobble together a list of those times theĀ PostĀ didĀ notĀ mislead its readers:

While a list of what the media might have gotten correct is fairly easy to put together, no one will ever be able to grasp the tsunami of fake news Americans were buried under for over two years.
The list below of 51 might sound like a lot, but it is a drop in the ocean when you recall the thousands and thousands of hours CNN, MSNBC,Ā Meet the Press, This Week, PBS NewsHour, State of the Union, Good Morning America,Ā Reliable Sources, and theĀ Today ShowĀ devoted to anchors and pundits pushing the hoax that Trump colluded with Russia.
Not to mention, millions and millions of establishment media tweets and Facebook posts.
Rachel Maddow, Lawrence OāDonnell, Shepard Smith, Andrew Napolitano, Joe Scarborough, Chris Hayes, Chuck Todd, Joy Reid, Chris Matthews, Jake Tapper, Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo, Brian Stelter, Erin Burnett, et al., Ā are alone responsible for thousands and thousands and thousands of hours of lies and conspiracy-mongering.
This list of 51 doesnāt countĀ the half-millionĀ āĀ half-MILLIONĀ ā Russia collusion stories published over the past two years, almost all of which were premised on the idea that Trump did, indeed, collude with a foreign power to steal the 2016 presidential election.
This list cannot begin to count the countless times these 51 fake stories were repeated as fact throughout other news outlets, social media, and thousands upon thousands of cumulative broadcast hours.
Whatās more, this list of 51 canāt begin to count theĀ countless examplesĀ of fake news launched against Trump that have nothing to do with Russia ā desperate and deliberate lies involving fish food and ice cream scoopsā¦
Before we begin, credit where itās due. This list would not have been possible without the lists already compiled byĀ Sharyl Attkisson,Ā Glenn Greenwald, andĀ Sohrab Ahmari.
