White South Africans barred from registering on government jobs website

A registration process on a government partnered youth employment initiative has appeared to exclude white South Africans, sparking criticism from the country’s trade union.

The YES (Youth Employment Service) government jobs website aims at helping unemployed young South Africans who have been jobless for longer than six months. The program is endorsed by the National Development Plan 2030, which intends to eliminate poverty and reduce inequality within the next 12 years.

The registration criteria on the site require the applicants to be black, in accordance with the BEE definition (Black Economic Empowerment), between the ages of 18 – 34, and South African citizens.

Ramaphosa pledges to accelerate return of lands to black South Africans

Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is a racially selective program launched by the South African government to redress the inequalities of Apartheid by giving black South African citizens, whom they define to include black, coloured and Indian people, economic privileges not available to whites.

“YES is a business-driven initiative which is breaking new ground by pioneering a partnership with government and labor, in collectively tackling a national plan to build economic pathways for black youth,”the website says. “Please note we are currently only registering candidates between the ages of 18 and 34, who are currently unemployed and must be black (as per the B-BBEE codes definition).”

YES was launched by South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa in March. He praised the initiative, saying: “We will be coming up with further initiatives to address youth unemployment.”

South Africa’s trade union Solidarity suggested that young, white South Africans were “unwelcome,” while the exclusion was part of a “long list of policies obsessed with race.”

“It is as if the President is saying to white candidates: ‘You are unwelcome and on your own!’” said Paul Maritz, coordinator of Solidarity Youth.

He noted that the empowerment project which intended to address the enormous problem of youth unemployment was an issue of major importance in South Africa.

Maritz, however, added: “Exclusion based on race is becoming the norm… We dare not allow racial exclusion to become commonplace and normal; the past has shown us how dangerous that is.”

11-year-old Ebba Åkerlund was brutally murdered by the illegal migrant Rakhmat Akilov in a terror attack on Drottninggatan in Stockholm last April.

Now another illegal migrant has vandalised Ebba’s tomb on more than 30 occasions.

On several of these occasions, the man has been arrested by the police, but then released after an hour’s interrogation instead of being expelled from the country in accordance with the expulsion order.

In a Facebook post, Ebba’s father Stefan questions the police and others in power’s handling of the man. Why is the expulsion not enforced, why isn’t the man arrested and detained?

Why is he not sentenced to imprisonment for one year as stated in the judgment if he violates the expulsion decision?

Stefan has personally caught the man in the act when he was in the process of vandalising Ebba’s tomb. All he got from the police was a “good job”, and then the man was released again.

In his post, Stefan holds the country’s national politicians responsible for his daughter’s death in the terrorist attack, which happened because of the same laxity that is now being repeated with the tomb vandaliser.

He quotes industrialist Leif Östling’s famous “What the hell do I get for the money?” in the light of the fact that law and order are not being maintained in Sweden and that parents like him will pay the ultimate price for it.

Georgia Investigating Democrats For Allegedly Hacking Voting System

Two days before the Nov. 6 midterm elections, Georgia Secretary of State and Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp revealed on Sunday that his office is opening an investigation into the Georgia Democratic Party on allegations that it attempted to hack the state’s voting system, including allegations of possible cyber crimes.

Kempe, whose office announced the investigation in a Sunday morning news release, didn’t reveal any details of the probe, which comes on the heels of a court victory by Democrats, who successfully challenged the state’s attempt to de-register 50,000 voters under the state’s “exact match” voter ID law, according to the Daily Caller.

“While we cannot comment on the specifics of an ongoing investigation, I can confirm that the Democratic Party of Georgia is under investigation for possible cyber-crimes,” Kempe press secretary Candice Broce said in the release. Both the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI have been alerted.

The state Democratic Party has called the allegations “100% false” and “an abuse of power” by Kempe. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a computer scientist and attorney who are currently suing Kempe said that the lawsuit is “an attempt to distract from a report about vulnerabilities in the state’s voter registration website.”

The “vulnerabilities” could potentially allow anybody to access the voting records of individual voters.

Poll numbers between Kempe and his opponent, Democrat Stacy Abrams, have tightened to within a two percentage point margin as Abrams has benefited from several celebrity endorsements, including the support of Oprah Winfrey, who joined Abrams in knocking on doors last week.

The Daily Caller quoted Abrams as saying the lawsuit was a “desperate attempt” to sway the vote in Kempe’s favor ahead of the election.

“I’ve heard nothing about it, and my reaction would be that this is a desperate attempt on the part of my opponent to distract people from the fact that two different federal judges found him derelict in his duties and have forced him to accept absentee ballots to be counted and those who are being held captive by the exact match system to be allowed to vote,” Abrams said.

For many Georgia voters, news of the investigation will not be taken lightly. According to a poll conducted by the AJC and a local TV station, many voters in the state are concerned about the integrity of its elections, including fears about tampering and ineligible voters casting ballots.

Caravan Packed With Hundreds Of Convicted Criminals, Gang Members, Feds Say

A new report from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says that there are hundreds of convicted criminals or known gang members traveling in the migrant caravan that is traveling through Mexico to the U.S. southern border.

DHS released the report on Thursday in response to questions the department has received about the caravan, stating, “We continue to be concerned about individuals along the caravan route.”

“In fact, over 270 individuals along the caravan route have criminal histories, including known gang membership,” DHS reported. “Those include a number of violent criminals – examples include aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery, sexual assault on a child, and assault on a female.”

“Mexican officials have also publicly stated that criminal groups have infiltrated the caravan,” the statement continued. “We also continue to see individuals from over 20 countries in this flow from countries such as Somalia, India, Haiti, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. There is a large segment of this population that we know nothing about and we must be prepared to defend our border and enforce our laws to protect the citizens of our country.”

DHS’s report also included an October 29 statement from the Mexican ambassador to the U.S., who described some of the caravan members as “very violent,” saying, “Unfortunately, some of the people in the caravan have been very violent against authority, even though they have offered the possibility of entering in compliance with immigration law and refugee status.”

The report says that the caravan “is employing tactics to push women and children to the front to act as human shields as the caravan pushes against its military forces.”

The report also contained a statement from Mexican Interior Minister Navarrete Prida, who confirmed that criminal organization are embedded in the caravan, saying, “I have videos from Guatemala that show men dressed in identical clothing, sporting the same haircuts, handing out money to women to persuade them to move to the front of the caravan. … We know, for a fact, that some members of the caravan threatened [Mexican] Migration Institute personnel and we have images showing many of them preparing Molotov cocktails.”
