Gaetz played a clip on a loop of House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) laughing off the notion of a humanitarian crisis at the border while being asked about it in an interview from January before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
Rep. Madeleine Dean (D-PA) issued a point of order suggesting Gaetz repeating the âout of contextâ clip was inappropriate. She was informed by the parliamentarian that he was not out of order.
âI just think thatâs quite something when youâre fed back your own words from your own leadership from earlier this year, you think thatâs out of context and inappropriate and not allowed,â Gaetz said referring to the clip.
âAgain, we didnât raise the issue. It was the gentlelady from Texas that said these allegations from Republicans that we were in denial, theyâre offensive, weâve always known of the crisis, and the Democratic whip laughed,â Gaetz continued.
Clyburn was not the only Congressional Democratic leader who denied the reality of the crisis at the U.S. southern border. Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) did so as well.
âMost presidents have used Oval Office addresses for noble purposes,â Schumer said in January. âThis president just used the backdrop of the Oval Office to manufacture a crisis, stoke fear, and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration.â
Sen. Elizabeth âPocahontasâ Warren (D-MA) denied the order crisis as well while it was unfolding, only to virtue-signal and blame Trump when it became politically convenient for her to do so.
So Elizabeth Warren says she went to the border in June 2018 and saw a humanitarian crisis, but then in March 2019… twitter.com/i/web/status/1⌗

Gaetz made note that the Trump administration has been sounding the alarm bells the entire time.
âYou know who doesnât think itâs funny? The Trump administration, because [Acting United States Secretary of Homeland Security] Secretary [Kevin] McAleenan has been ringing the warning bell for months about the crisis. He begged you all to take action more quickly,â Gaetz said.
âIt should be very clear from these numbers that we âre facing alarming trends and a rising volume of people illegally crossing our southwest border, or arriving at our ports of entry without documents,â McAleenan said back in March. âThe system is well beyond capacity and remains at the breaking point.â
Democrats have ignored the warnings from the Trump administration, instead choosing to play politics with the issue of border security with U.S. communities and migrant children suffering mightily as a result.
âOne of the reasons why so many young people, so many vulnerable people are in tragic conditions is because we didnât act when the administration wanted us to provide funding that was absolutely necessary to care for people,â Gaetz explained.
âIt wasnât the Republicans that were in denial. It was all of you, and it was in your own words from your own leadership. Be offended with the Democratic whip, not the House Republicans,â Gaetz concluded.

Theyâre Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!

Update: The House has voted to meet tomorrow at Noon, 12 hours into the potential government shutdown.

Emerging from a meeting in Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) office, Corker said that Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and McConnell are expected to enter into an agreement on the Senate floor, according to The Hill.
“This is will be an agreement between McConnell and Schumer about what next happens on the Senate floor. Youâll see them to enter into a little discussion,” said Corker. “It charts the course forward that gives us the best chance of actually coming to a solution.”
Corker suggested that a government shutdown may be averted – citing meetings with White House officials.
“Some of the folks at the White House seem to be optimistic,” he said, adding that President Trump “is very aware of whatâs happening.”
The potential breakthrough comes after Schumer met with Vice President Pence, incoming White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney and White House advisor Jared Kushner on Friday afternoon.Â
The negotiations later moved over to the House, with Pence, Mulvaney and Kushner huddling in Speaker Paul Ryanâs ceremonial office with Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), Freedom Caucus leaders Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Republican Study Committee Chairman Mark Walker (R-N.C.).
Corker warned that the danger of a partial government shutdown is not completely gone. –The Hill
“It’s just how we’re going to proceed in a manner that we think is best,” said Corker. “The first discussion is not substance, it’s process.”
Meanwhile, looks like Trump may go medieval on illegal border crossers…

Graham called the move an âObama-likeâ mistake. Rubio, apparently trying to establish himself as the leading figure of the neoconservative movement, went as far as calling the presidentâs decision a âretreat.â Graham and Rubio have both expressed past support for using the US military to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The response from many in the media hasnât been too different from that of the neocons. CNNâs Erin Burnett strongly condemned President Trumpâs decision. She said the president was giving Vladimir Putin an early Christmas present by withdrawing US soldiers from Syria. However, she failed to articulate why she believes the lives of US soldiers are less valuable than the alleged disruption between the US and Russia.
Burnett wasnât the only CNN personality to attack the president for his decision. CNNâs Fareed Zakaria also bashed the withdraw of US troops from Syria. He claimed President Trump was making an even bigger mistake than former president George W Bushâs âmission accomplishedâ fiasco during the Iraq War. Itâs worth noting that Zakaria is one of many prominent members of the media who supported the decision to invade Iraq.
Anchors from other networks also condemned the presidentâs choice to withdraw troops from Syria. Fox Newsâ Brian Kilmeade called Trumpâs decision âstunning and irresponsible.â He also suggested the president was âcutting and running.â MSNBCâs Joe Scarborough expressed similar sentiments on his show this morning.
The reaction of the neoconservatives and like minded members of the media shouldnât come as a surprise to anyone. The two groups have united numerous times in the past, salivating at the idea of a ground war to overthrow Assad in Syria. Thankfully, peace has prevailed.
United States military forces have been in Syria for over four years. The first known instance of American troops fighting on the ground in Syria occurred in July of 2014, as part of a hostage rescue operation. The Global War on Terror has already cost US tax payers nearly 6 trillion dollars. To provide that number some context, the combined value of the entire US housing market is worth about 30 trillion dollars.
Elsewhere, President Trumpâs decision has been met with praise. Senators Mike Lee and Rand Paul both applauded the presidentâs withdraw of troops from Syria. Senator Paul saidthe presidentâs decision is another example of Trump keeping his campaign promises. Paul further defended the move, saying the presidentâs decision in Syria illustrates why he won the 2016 election.

The primarily social-media-based campaign to bolster the candidacy of Democrat Doug Jones and smear Republican Roy Moore implemented many of the divisive techniques outlined in the reports released earlier this week on Russian social media influence operations, according to an internal report on the effort acquired by the New York Times. Such resemblance is not surprising, given that one of the Alabama effort’s ringleaders was Jonathon Morgan, whose company New Knowledge produced one of those reports.
ALSO ON RT.COMRacist âRussiansâ targeted African-Americans in 2016 election ploy, reports claimThe campaign was clearly meant to remain classified â the Times’ attempts to interview participants were as often as not met with claims of “I don’t remember” or pleading the Fifth. Others downplay the effect of their actions, or claim they were just meddling in the name of research. But, as much as they claim their actions had no consequences, they succeeded in electing the first Democrat to represent Alabama in the Senate for over 25 years.
In order to paint Roy Moore as the Kremlin candidate, the manipulators linked his campaign to thousands of Russian Twitter accounts that all started following him at once â drawing the attention and suspicion of the media, which obediently published rumors that his support numbers were artificially bolstered by Russian bots.
Morgan claims the botnet “false flag” â a term that actually appears in the report â “does not ring a bell,” dismissing the project as “a small experiment” in tactics that were not meant to sway the election. He pleads the Fifth on the report’s claims that the Alabama project intended to “enrage and energize Democrats” and “depress turnout” among Republicans, weaponizing accusations that Moore had tried to seduce teen girls while in his 30s. Morgan also claims to forget the names of the Twitter and Facebook accounts he set up to manipulate Moore voters.
Backed into a corner, Morgan finally opted to lie to the Times, claiming that while the project did create a generic Facebook page to lure conservative Alabamans, and was in contact with write-in candidate (and Moore rival) Mac Watson, its influence efforts stopped there. The report tells a different story: the Facebook page “boosted” Watson’s campaign, getting him interviews with major media outlets, and swelling the ranks of his Twitter followers. Watson confirms he received media assistance from a Facebook page with no human face to it â the only page that replied to his contact.
“The research project was intended to help us understand how these kind of campaigns operated,” Morgan told the Times. “We thought it was useful to work in the context of a real election but design it to have almost no impact.”
It’s a truism that so-called “coastal elites” have only disdain for Middle America, but the way Morgan describes the Alabama special election as an inconsequential throwaway contest fit only for a science experiment is eye-opening.
Morgan, it’s worth noting, was one of the developers of the infamous “Hamilton68” dashboard, beloved by Western media for its ability to link any troublesome narrative to “Russian bots.” Morgan’s co-developer, Clint Watts, has since distanced himself from the bot crusade, admitting he’s “not convinced on this bot thing.”
Everyone the Times spoke with was careful to shunt blame elsewhere. Renee diResta, who works with Morgan at New Knowledge and was the lead author of the group’s Russian report, said: “I know there were people who believed the Democrats needed to fight fire with fire,” emphasizing that she was not one of these people.
Moore campaign operatives remain frustrated at their narrow margin of loss â just 21,924 votes, less than the number of write-in ballots that were cast. They complained to Facebook about possible interference but were brushed off. Presented with incontrovertible evidence of wrongdoing by their opponents, Moore campaign manager Rich Hobson acknowledged that “any and all of these things could make a difference.”
“We still kick ourselves that Judge Moore didn’t win,” he said.

The Angel Families rally was in support of a border wall took place at the San Ysidro Port of Entry.

The Angel Families are an organization aimed at bringing âillegal alien crimes to the forefront of politicians and American citizens by bringing victims and their families into the light with their stories and to enlighten them of the fight we have in front of us.â
The organization claimed that Democratic politicians have refused to ever meet with any of them, âbecause they canât face us.â
One of the speakers at the border event was Mary Anne Mendoza, whose son Sgt Brandon Mendoza was killed by an illegal alien on the day after Motherâs Day in 2014.
âWe are fighting so that no other American family has to feel the pain and the grief that we do,â Mendoza told the Epoch Times.
Another speaker at the rally was Agnes Gibboney, a legal immigrant from Brazil whose son was shot and killed in 2012 by an illegal alien gang member who had previously been deported.
âWeâre calling on all Americans to support President Trump whoâs fighting hard to keep his campaign promise to build the wall,â Gibboney said. âWe need to build the wall so we can prevent the needless loss of life at the hands of illegal aliens.â

The first development involves a potential violation of campaign finance laws. In August, lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to arranging payments to two women âat the directionâ of Donald Trump. A $130,000 payment was made through a shell company to Stormy Daniels, and it was arranged that a $150,000 payment would be made to former Playboy model Karen McDougal through American Media Inc., which is the parent company of the National Enquirer. It was ruled that these payments were made âfor the principal purpose of influencingâ the election, and it is one of the reasons why Michael Cohen is going to prison for three years.

Personally, I am quite skeptical that these hush money payments constitute âcampaign expensesâ which must be reported, but this is the interpretation that is being pushed by the Deep State, and it is being widely accepted by the mainstream media and by members of both political parties.
In August 2015, there was a meeting between Michael Cohen, American Media Inc. CEO David Pecker and âat least one other member of the campaignâ during which a plan to âcatch and killâ negative stories about Trump was discussed. According to NBC News, it has been confirmed that the âother memberâ in the room was Trump himselfâŚ
As part of a nonprosecution agreement disclosed Wednesday by federal prosecutors, American Media Inc., the Enquirerâs parent company, admitted that âPecker offered to help deal with negative stories about that presidential candidateâs relationships with women by, among other things, assisting the campaign in identifying such stories so they could be purchased and their publication avoided.â
The âstatement of admitted factsâ says that AMI admitted making a $150,000 payment âin concert with the campaign,â and says that Pecker, Cohen and âat least one other member of the campaignâ were in the meeting. According to a person familiar with the matter, the âother memberâ was Trump.
With Cohen and Pecker now both cooperating with federal investigators, Trump could potentially be in a huge amount of trouble, and the left is loving it.
As a former assistant U.S. attorney explained to NBC News, it would essentially be a slam dunk to prove âa conspiracy to commit campaign finance fraudââŚ
Daniel Goldman, an NBC News analyst and former assistant U.S. attorney said the agreement doesnât detail what Trump said and did in the meeting. âBut if Trump is now in the room, as early as August of 2015 and in combination with the recording where Trump clearly knows what Cohen is talking about with regarding to David Pecker, you now squarely place Trump in the middle of a conspiracy to commit campaign finance fraud.â
But once again, that is only true if the hush money payments actually constituted âcampaign expensesâ, and it is my opinion that they do not.
Meanwhile, federal authorities have also opened up a new investigation into potential corruption by President Trumpâs inauguration committee. The following comes from USA TodayâŚ
The investigation is being led by federal prosecutors in Manhattan and is examining whether donors gave money in return for access to Donald Trump and his administration, the Wall Street Journal and CNN reported.
The Journal, citing unnamed officials, reports the probe is in its early stages but aims to determine whether some of the donors to Trumpâs $107 million inauguration fund attempted to gain influence within the administration on policy decisions, something that could violate federal corruption laws.
This new investigation never would have occurred if federal authorities had not already been investigating Michael Cohen.
Reportedly, they came across some potentially incriminating information when they raided his home, office and hotel room in AprilâŚ
During the April raids on Cohenâs home, office, and hotel room, federal investigators discovered a taped conversation between Cohen and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who worked with the inaugural committee, the WSJ reported.
The contents of the recording are unclear but Wolkoff, according to the Journal, voiced concerns over how some of the inaugural funds were being spent.
During the Nixon administration, the Department of Justice ruled that a sitting president could not be indicted, but now there are quite a few Democrats that are calling for that ruling to be âreevaluatedâ. One of those Democrats is Representative Adam SchiffâŚ
âI think the Justice Department needs to re-examine that OLC opinion, the Office of Legal Counsel opinion, that you cannot indict a sitting president under circumstances in which the failure to do so may mean that person escapes justice,â Schiff told CNN on Wednesday, hours after Donald Trumpâs longtime lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to breaking campaign finance laws and other matters.
In the short-term, it is probably unlikely that Trump will be indicted, and so if Democrats want to get rid of him they will need to go down the road of impeachment.
Now that Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats have taken control of the House, they could probably pull off a vote to impeach Trump. But the tricky part would be the Senate, because the Republicans still have a majority there.
But it is a very small majority, and it would only take a handful of Republican votes to remove Trump from office.

Let us hope that the Democrats do not decide to pursue impeachment, because that would only create even more division in a country that is already greatly divided.
We live in very troubled times, and unfortunately things are likely to become even more troubled in 2019.

Comey has been leading this mission since at least 2016 while during a presidential campaign the FBI, Department of Justice, Obama administration and foreign allies spied on President Trump and his campaign, family and business.
MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace interviewed Comey at the 92Y event last night.
Comey also said President Trump told him in private that he wanted him to drop the Michael Flynn investigation.
Comey said it was very disturbing.
CNNÂ reported:
Former FBI Director James Comey asked American voters Sunday night to end Donald Trumpâs presidency with a âlandslideâ victory for his opponent in 2020.
âAll of us should use every breath we have to make sure the lies stop on January 20, 2021,â Comey told an audience at the 92nd Street Y on New York Cityâs Upper East Side. He all but begged Democrats to set aside their ideological differences and nominate the person best suited to defeating Trump in an election.
âI understand the Democrats have important debates now over who their candidate should be,â Comey told MSNBCâs Nicolle Wallace, âbut they have to win. They have to win.â
Over the course of more than an hour, Comey repeatedly derided Trumpâs character, again likening the atmosphere around the President to what he saw in prosecuting mafia figures and suggested that Trumpâs tweets could eventually amount to witness tampering. Asked if Trump might be an unindicted co-conspirator in some of the crimes recently described by special counsel Robert Mueller, Comey said he didnât know, âbut if heâs not there, heâs certainly close.â
