Mass Migration is Costing America a Ton of Cash

Later this week, the U.S. Supreme Court is considering whether the 2020 U.S. Census’s question over citizenship status is constitutional.

Mass migration advocates worry that adding a citizenship question to the census would undercount 6.5 million people. Their concerns center around both political power and federal funding for states.

According to a Fox News report, advocates of border security argue that mass migration is costing American taxpayers a hefty sum of money

Dan Stein, the director of the Federation for American Immigration Reform, says “We’re talking about billions of dollars in taxpayer benefits over the next few years.”

Stein argues that “The payout for the taxpayer is enormous and income to the Treasury is miniscule.”

A study that FAIR conducted in 2017 found that illegal immigrants “are a net consumer of taxpayer benefits worth more than $100 billion a year, not including the cost of enforcing the border.”

In theory, federal benefits are supposed to be off limits to illegal immigrants. However, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development reports that more than 25,000 illegal immigrants receive subsidized housing. Children also receive free education and most of them qualify for English lessons and school lunch programs.

Under federal law, hospital and clinics are forced to provide urgent care to anyone regardless of their legal status.

Pregnant women are also able to receive prenatal and postpartum care through the Women, Infants and Children program. Medicaid pays for infant delivery costs.

A Journal of the American Medical Association study discovered that a federal-state immigrant insurance program costs $2 billion annually in emergency treatments. On top of that, infant delivery expenses totaled $1.24 billion.

Although illegal immigrants can’t receive food stamps, their children, through birthright citizenship, can. The Center for Immigration Studies found that 31 percent of these families use the SNAP program and more than 50 percent of Central American families are on at least one welfare program.

BLP reported that migrant crossings are on the verge of exceeding Bush-era levels.

Additionally, there are other costs to immigration. Europe has become notorious for its immigrant ghettoes, with BLP reporting on the rise of so-called “no-go” zones in Germany.

Taking all these factors into consideration, GOP voters see immigration as the #1 issue during the 2020 elections.

With border crossings on the rise, immigration will continue to be a hot-button issue in American politics.

BLUE STATE BLUES: ILLINOIS CONSIDERS ‘MUSIC TAX’ & HIGHER GAS TAXES

See the source image

But this will push even more people out of the state

Kit Daniels | Infowars.com – MARCH 29, 2019

Despite residents rapidly fleeing Illinois, the state is considering a ‘music tax’ to try to stop the hemorrhaging of its pension funds.

Illinois is looking into a new tax on Internet streaming as well as raising its vehicle registration and gas taxes to almost the highest in the nation.

The state is buckling under a staggering $134 billion in over 650 unfunded pensions, mainly for police and fire departments.

A state bill entitled the Video Service Tax Modernization Act would impose taxes on Internet streaming such as Spotify and Netflix “for the privilege to witness, view, or otherwise enjoy the entertainment.”

The tax is similar to Chicago’s “amusement tax” forced on city residents back in November to watch Netflix and play Playstation games on-line, as previously reported.

“The legality of Chicago’s ‘Netflix tax’ is dubious,” statedIllinoisPolicy.org. “The Liberty Justice Center, the Illinois Policy Institute’s litigation partner, sued the city on behalf of streaming service customers in 2015, after the expansion of the tax to online services went into effect.”

“The Center argued expanding the tax to online services violates the 1998 Internet Tax Freedom Act, a federal law.”

This federal law prohibits states from enacting taxes against electronic commerce, meaning that Illinois’ proposed statewide law could be struck down.

Illinois is also considering hiking its gas and transportation taxes.

“Legislation introduced last week proposes the state’s first gas tax increase since 1990 and could raise an additional $2 billion in revenue each year, the Chicago Tribune reported,” read an article from the AP. “But it also would hike the electric-vehicle fee from $17.50 to $148, and increase truck registration fees by $100.”

“The fees for driver’s licenses would double under the proposal, from $30 to $60, while passenger vehicle registration would increase from $98 to $148.”

Two billion dollars is roughly only 1.5% of the amount needed to fund the state’s pension funds, however.

Additionally, another problem plagues Illinois: all these new taxes are motivating residents to flee the state.

Not only is Illinois within the top five states with the highest tax burdens, it’s also one of the top five states residents are moving out of.

In other words, if Illinois increases taxes, residents will move out, thus shrinking the tax revenues.

Dems announce expanded Dream Act…

– The Washington Times – Tuesday, March 12, 2019

CAP

House Democrats upped their ante on illegal immigration Tuesday, announcing new legislation that would not only grant legal status to potentially millions of illegal immigrant “Dreamers,” but adds hundreds of thousands of more migrants to the mix.

Dreamers would be eligible for in-state college tuition and taxpayer-backed financial aid, would get new protections against swift deportation, and would have a “direct” pathway to citizenship.

Even some already-deported illegal immigrants would be allowed to apply to return under the bill, announced by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and fellow Democrats in a rally at the Capitol.

“There should be nothing partisan or political in this legislation,” Mrs. Pelosi said.

The bill goes beyond the Dream Act, legislation that’s been kicking around for nearly two decades, which would offer a path to citizenship to as many as 2 million illegal immigrants.

The updated version would also grant a pathway to citizenship to hundreds of thousands of people here under Temporary Protected Status or Deferred Enforced Departure.

Those are both types of humanitarian protections designed to give people a temporary safe place in the U.S. — along with work permits and some other taxpayer benefits — while their home countries recover from natural disasters, instability or wars.

Yet over the decades, those protections have become semi-permanent. The average TPS holder has been in the U.S. 20 years at this point.

Democrats said they’ve put down roots, and asking them to return now is unfair.

“We are not going to let Donald Trump send them back, putting their lives in peril or tearing their families apart,” said Rep. Nydia Velazquez, a New York Democrat.

She and fellow Democrats said those to whom they’re offering citizenship rights are already American in most ways, save for their illegal entry or continued iffy legal status.

Dream Act legislation has been on the cusp of passage before, clearing the House in 2010 but defeated in the Senate by a GOP filibuster that year.

Last year, President Trump floated several different deals that would have granted some more permanent legal status to Dreamers, but Democrats and some Republicans said he was asking for too much in return with his demand for border wall money, limits to family-based immigrant visas and an end to the visa lottery.

Those negotiations took place under a GOP-led Congress.

“We are in charge now,” Rep. Mark Takano, California Democrat, said Tuesday, underscoring why Democrats are optimistic they can win a legalization without also having to embrace Mr. Trump’s get-tough policies.

TOP 5 HIGHEST TAX STATES ARE BLUE STATES

Top 5 Highest Tax States Are Blue States

…And residents are fleeing these states en mases

Infowars.com – MARCH 5, 2019

The top five states with highest taxes in the nation are all Democratic “tax and spend” states.

And, not surprising, four out of the five have the most amount of people moving out of the state, according to a United Van Lines survey.

Data analyzed by the financial group 24/7 Wall St. reveals that the top five states with the highest tax burdens are:

5) Illinois
4) California
3) New Jersey
2) Connecticut
1) New York

And the top five states people are fleeing are:

5) Kansas
4) New York
3) Connecticut
2) Illinois
1) New Jersey

While not in the top 10, California still had nearly 55% of residents moving out compared to 45.6% of people moving in, according to the survey, which is slightly edged out by #10 Michigan.

Kansas, on the other hand, has above average taxes and, according to the survey, residents are leaving the state to take jobs elsewhere.

“These numbers reinforce what has become a well-entrenched trend of US residents moving from high-tax states to low tax states,” reported Mises.org. “In fact, among the top-ten states that the largest number of Americans have fled, seven of the ten are states which rank among the top 15 states for the worst tax burdens, according to the Tax Foundation’s most recent report on state and local taxation.”

Case in point, last month New Jersey moved to enact a “rain tax” on property owners by charging property owners a fee for their parking lots and driveways, or any other surface rainwater can’t penetrate.

The state is already prohibitively expensive for the middle class, and because more people have fled New Jersey than any other state in 2018, the rain tax will likely force even more people to leave.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Chief of Staff Ran Slush Fund – Funneled Over $1 Million in Campaign Donations to His Own Companies

According to a complaint filed with the Federal Election Committee Monday (FEC), two PACs founded by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s top aide, Saikat Chakrabarti funneled over $ 1 million in political donations into two of his own private companies, reported the Washington Examiner.

So much for Ocasio-Cortez’s promise to reduce “dark money” in politics!

According to a complaint filed by government watchdog group National Legal and Policy Center, it appears Chakrabarti set up his two companies for the sole purpose of hiding how the donations were used.

The Washington Examiner reported:

The arrangement skirted reporting requirements and may have violated the $5,000 limit on contributions from federal PACs to candidates, according to the complaint filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog group.

Campaign finance attorneys described the arrangement as “really weird” and an indication “there’s something amiss.” They said there was no way of telling where the political donations went — meaning they could have been pocketed or used by the company to pay for off-the-books campaign operations.

PACs are required to disclose how and when funds are spent, including for expenditures like advertisements, fundraising emails, donations to candidates, and payments for events and to vendors.

The private companies to which Chakrabarti transferred the money from the PACs are not subject to these requirements.

The complaint names Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Saikat Chakrabarti and asks the FEC to investigate and audit the two PACs alleging they were engaged in “an elaborate scheme to avoid proper disclosure of campaign expenditures,” reported the Examiner.

“It appears Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her associates ran an off-the-books operation to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars, thus violating the foundation of all campaign finance laws: transparency,” Director of National Legal Policy Center Tom Anderson said.

Chakrabarti founded the two PACs in question in 2016 and 2017.

Brand New Congress was founded in 2016 and Justice Democrats was founded in 2017 with the end goal of getting ultra progressive candidates elected to Congress — ultimately these two PACs helped radical Communist Ocasio-Cortez win a Congressional seat last November.

The Washington Examiner explains how Chakrabarti set up the PACs and his shell companies to move the money around in secret:

In 2016 and 2017, Chakrabarti’s PACs raised around $3.3 million for the project, primarily from small donors. During this time, the committees transferred over $1 million to two shell companies controlled by Chakrabarti with names similar to one of the PACs, Brand New Campaign LLC and Brand New Congress LLC, according to federal election filings.

A few weeks after starting the Brand New Congress PAC, Chakrabarti formed one of the companies, Brand New Campaign LLC, in Delaware, using a registered agent service and mailbox-only address.

Over the next seven months, as small-dollar political donations poured into the PAC from progressives across the country, the committee transferred over $200,000, 82 percent of the contributions, to the company Brand New Campaign LLC. The payments were for “strategic consulting,” according to federal election filings. They were sent to an apartment address listed for Chakrabarti in the Greenwich Village area of Manhattan.

In 2017, Brand New Congress PAC transferred another $240,000 to Brand New Congress LLC, also for “strategic consulting.” Another PAC co-founded by Chakrabarti that year called “Justice Democrats” transferred an additional $605,000 to Brand New Congress LLC in 2017.

Bradley A. Smith, a former chairman of the FEC, said he has never seen such an arrangement. “It’s a really weird situation,” he said. “I see almost no way that you can do that without it being at least a reporting violation, quite likely a violation of the contribution limits. You might say from a campaign finance angle that the LLC was essentially operating as an unregistered committee.”

Recall, AOC’s Chief of Staff Saikat Chakrabarti is a radical Communist and a huge fan of Indian political leader Subhas Chandra Bose who was an ally of Adolf Hitler and Imperial Japan.

Ocasio-Cortez was lambasted by conservative media after her boyfriend’s name appeared on the House directory list — many speculated she put her boyfriend on payroll like a good Socialist.

“Nice to see her adapting to the swamp so quickly,” writer Luke Thompson said after discovering AOC’s boyfriend was designated as House staff a few weeks ago.

Sound Familiar? Dem Governor Running For President Vowing To Switch To 100% Clean Energy, Provide Millions Of Green Jobs

Screen Shot 2019-03-01 at 3.02.12 PM

By James Barrett

Second-term Washington Gov. Jay Inslee officially announced his presidential candidacy Friday, and he’s running on a platform that sounds like it was ripped from the since-deleted, much-maligned FAQ for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez‘s “Green New Deal.”

In a presidential announcement video released Friday, Inslee issues some rather familiar doom-and-gloom warnings as well as some pie-in-the-sky promises.

“We’re the first generation to feel the sting of climate change, and we’re the last that can do something about it,” the governor says ominously as apocalyptic images play in the background, which the viewer is clearly supposed to believe are the grim results of global warming.

“We went to the moon and created technologies that have changed the world,” he continues. “Our country’s next mission must be to rise up to the most urgent challenge of our time: defeating climate change. This crisis isn’t just a chart or graph anymore. The impacts are being felt everywhere.”

“We have an opportunity to transform our economy, run on 100 percent clean energy, that will bring millions of good paying jobs to every community across America, and create a more just future for everyone,” Insleee proclaims.

Inslee is a former congressman who was elected governor in 2012 and has another two years in office after winning his second election in 2016. Calling his bid a “longshot campaign,” The Seattle Times provides some highlights of Inslee’s progressive and largely “climate-focused” political career:

As governor, Inslee generally has pursued a liberal agenda, backing minimum-wage increases, higher taxes on the wealthy and businesses, raises for teachers and state government employees and declaring a moratorium on the death penalty. He also backed a record-setting, $8.7 billion tax-break deal to lure Boeing’s 777 plant and angered labor leaders by pressuring the Machinists union to approve a contract that ended workers’ defined-benefit pension plan.

He also has pushed an ambitious climate agenda, with mixed results, failing to persuade lawmakers and voters to adopt pollution fees on carbon emissions, but boosting electric-car infrastructure and creating a clean-energy fund that has poured millions into green projects. Despite Inslee’s agenda, greenhouse emissions in Washington have continued to rise, missing near-term reduction goals set in state law.

The Times reports that Democratic lawmakers in Washington are currently “making a big push” to try to ram through Inslee’s climate change agenda, many of the proposals of which have been stalled for “years.” Just a day before his announcement, the State Senate was debating his radical request to phase out the use of fossil fuels at Washington utlities, the paper notes.

Inslee, 68, has also proven that he’s willing to take on Trump on the national stage, opposing the president on rolling back business-stifling environmental regulations, arming teachers to better protect students, and the administration’s so-called “Muslim ban.”

The Democratic governor’s “green” candidacy shares much in common with AOC’s “Green New Deal,” which sets as its goals a massive overhaul of the economy, which will include 100% use of renewable energy in ten years, net-zero emissions, massive infrastructure projects — including high-speed rails all over the country and the “greening” of all buildings — Medicare-for-All, and living wage jobs for every American.

MSNBC PANEL CELEBRATES AMAZON FLEEING NYC: ‘5 YEARS AGO’ THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN WELCOME

‘Now people are like “Wait a second, we’ve seen what’s happened in other places”‘

By Grabien Staff

EXCERPT:

ALI: “The activists. Bring them to the conversation. Also, people are learning from, well, Amazon is coming. Tech has come to my hometown. Oh, look, income inequality. Can’t afford housing. So what’s going to happen to our neck of the woods here in queens? We need the jobs. But what type of jobs, right, and is this going to phase out different communities. These are the conversations people are having. The sheen of an Amazon or Facebook, 5, 10 years ago, people were like, yes, come, savvy us. Now people are like “Wait a second, we’ve seen what’s happened in other places”. Talk to us. Because our interests are at stake. You can’t just go beyond the mayor and the government.”

DEMOCRAT VOWS TO TERMINATE TRUMP’S “FAKE EMERGENCY” DECLARATION

Democrat Vows To Terminate Trump's "Fake Emergency" Declaration

“We’ll challenge him in Congress, we’ll challenge him in the courts”

Steve Watson | Infowars.com – FEBRUARY 15, 2019

As news broke of President Trump preparing to declare a national emergency to open up funding for border security, one Democrat immediately vowed to derail the move before it has even begun, calling it ‘fake’.

Texas Congressman Joaquin Castro, who has repeatedly called for Trump to be impeached, vowed to “terminate” the declaration through a joint resolution in the House, saying that he does not believe Trump has the legal authority to go ahead.

“I don’t think that it’s a national emergency. I think this would be a fake emergency.” Castro told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer:

Castro also took to Twitter to spread the ‘fake emergency’ term and declare his intentions to derail it:

“I am prepared, if the president does declare a national emergency to build his border wall, to file a joint resolution under the National Emergencies Act that would essentially terminate his declaration,” Castro noted.

Castro, whose twin brother Julian Castro, is running for President in the 2020 election, also said that Congress should challenge Trump’s declaration.

“We would have a vote either on my resolution or somebody else’s on the House floor, and it is my understanding that that resolution would have to be voted upon in the Senate,” Castro said.

“And there have been very critical comments that have been made by senators, including Republican senators, about the president’s ability and the wisdom of declaring a national emergency for this purpose.” the Congressman added.

“We’ll challenge him in Congress, we’ll challenge him in the courts, and I think the American people will challenge the president,” Castro said.
