Suspected Bombing In Swedish Town

Swedish police are investigating a Christmas morning explosion at an apartment building in Gislaved as a targeted bombing and attempted murder, according to local media.

Authorities arrived on the scene of a strong blast in the locality of Anderstorp, located roughly 80 miles southeast of Gothenburg, SVT Nyheter reports.

“There are parts of the wall that are clearly damaged, so it was a more powerful detonation,” said police spokesman Thomas Agnevik. “There were people in the house. Exactly how many, I don’t know. I only have information that they should be unharmed.”

Forensics specialists and bomb technicians are investigating the damage and collecting evidence and testimonials from neighbors, but no suspects have been identified.

“The case is classified as attempted murder,”police report reads. “There is still no suspect. The event is judged to be aimed at a specific person.”

Sweden has seen an escalation in explosions and bombings in recent years.

“Sweden may be known for its popular music, IKEA and a generous welfare state. It is also increasingly associated with a rising number of Islamic State recruits, bombings and hand grenade attacks,” Politico reported in April, 2018.

Weeks ago, Malmö was the scene of multiple explosions in a single night, and in early 2018, the city was rocked by at least five detonations in the span of two weeks.

Swedish media blasted for playing down horrific details of hikers’ IS-inspired murders in Morocco

Swedish state broadcaster SVT has come under fire for what some viewers are calling an effort to downplay the horrendous details of the murders of two Scandinavian backpackers in Morocco last week.

Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, from Denmark, and Maren Ueland, 28, from Norway were killed while backpacking in Morocco’s High Atlas mountains. While both girls were stabbed multiple times, one of them was also beheaded on camera, shown in a video that has spread like wildfire around social media.

Previously recorded footage, which was authenticated by investigators, also shows the suspects in the brutal double murder pledging allegiance to the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi, further confirming that the murders were an act of terrorism.

On Christmas Eve, the national public broadcaster in Sweden aired a report about the barbaric killings, but chose not to focus on the actual details of the crime or the now-established links to Islamic terrorism. The SVT report made no mention of the fact that one of the young women was beheaded, said nothing about the ISIS link and simply referred to “knife damage” on the woman’s neck.

Bizarrely, the report focused almost entirely on how it is a punishable offence to share the disturbing video. Written reports on SVT’s website did mention the fact that the murders have been linked to Islamic terrorism, but that fact was nowhere to be found in its strange Christmas Eve report.

The odd angle taken by SVT prompted suggestions from viewers that the broadcaster seemed to be more worried about the possibility of the video spreading further than the actual murders themselves – and annoyed viewers quickly took to social media to denounce what they said was a case of the media being overly concerned with political correctness.

One person noted that there was a significant difference between how SVT covered the 2015 Trollhättan school attack, in which the Swedish perpetrator had been motivated by racism and chose a school in an area with a high immigrant population to commit his murders. While in that case, SVT recounted “minute by minute” what the killer did, publishing graphics and detailed information, in the case of the Scandinavian girls, the coverage was far more vague.

One Twitter user wrote that at first he thought the use of the phrase “knife damage” instead of ‘beheaded’ or ‘decapitated’ was just some kind of unfortunate formulation of words until he realized the channel had repeated the phrase more than once.

“I myself would never watch such a film, let alone share it. But now we are more upset about the crime of proliferation than the crime of beheading,” another user wrote, denouncing overly “PC” people.

“Have these IS killers already been given jobs at SVT?” asked another angry tweeter, while another asked had the SVT reporters seen the footage of the woman dying and in pain as her neck is cut. “Knife damage is indeed a euphemism,” they wrote.

“225 years ago Marie Antoinette suffered ‘knife damage to her neck’ during the French Revolution,” another user sarcastically wrote.

Acid Attacks Rock London

by DAN LYMAN DECEMBER 28, 2018

Two victims were hospitalized in separate acid attacks in London on the same day.

A 21-year-old man was brought to hospital after an assault in northeast London that also left him with cuts to his hands, presumably inflicted by a knife, according to police.

“Officers attended and found a 21-year-old man who had been assaulted, with a corrosive substance thrown over his face,” Metropolitan police said.

“The man has been taken to an east London hospital. His injuries are not being treated as life-threatening or life-changing.”

No suspects have been apprehended at the time of this writing.

Hours later, a 29-year-old man was rushed to hospital after a burning liquid was thrown on him in Tower Hamlets, London.

“We’re dealing with an incident at around 5.40pm in which a substance, believed to be ammonia, was thrown at a 29-yr-old man in the area of Roman Rd, E3,” Tower Hamlets police tweeted. “The victim was taken to hospital. Thankfully we understand injuries are not serious. Investigation is underway; no arrest yet.”

London is now considered the “acid attack capital of the world” after a six-fold increaseof the barbaric practice since 2012, and over 2,000 such attacks in the last three years alone.

Swedish Journo Disillusioned After Witnessing ‘Most Feminist Place On Earth’ Ignore Migrants’ Sex Assaults

By Chris Menahan
InformationLiberation

A female Swedish journalist became disillusioned with her country after witnessing how “in a country that claims to be one of the most feminist places on earth” the media couldn’t care less about reports of Middle Eastern migrants sexually assaulting women en masse at a music festival in 2015.

From The Guardian, “Sweden’s Dark Soul by Kajsa Norman review – ‘far from a utopia'”:

Sweden is proud of its reputation for being one of the world’s most progressive and egalitarian nations, and for a long time Kajsa Norman thought that its main defect was being rather “boring”. As an investigative journalist, she preferred more challenging environments, such as Zimbabwe. But while abroad she heard of an incident in Sweden “so disturbing and strange” that she felt compelled to investigate. What she found shook her faith in her country.

The annual We Are Sthlm music festival attracts some 200,000 people, mostly aged between 13 and 19, to Kungsträdgården Park in central Stockholm. On a balmy evening in August 2015, a middle-aged psychologist, whom the author calls Hans, as he wishes to remain anonymous, took his teenage relatives to the festival. As twilight fell, he noticed how groups of men and boys appeared and began “eyeing the young girls in hot pants”. During the evening he saw girl after girl stagger out from the crowd to ask for help from the security guards after being sexually assaulted.

Afterwards Hans was haunted by the memory of “watching packs of predators hunt helpless prey”, and was shocked that nothing appeared in the press the next day. When he emailed the Dagens Nyheter newspaper, a journalist called him. Although she sounded interested, when he mentioned that “the vast majority” of the perpetrators “appeared to be Afghans”, her tone became “noticeably colder”. No article appeared, leaving Hans angry that “in a country that claims to be one of the most feminist places on earth”, no one cared.

[…] This hard-hitting book is permeated by a deep sense of disillusionment. Norman argues that in its quest to achieve an ideal society, Sweden has created a culture of conformism that suppresses inconvenient truths and breeds moral cowardice. Her book (“Sweden’s Dark Soul“) is a plea for more honesty and openness: “Swedish society is far from a pluralistic utopia.”

It’s really sick the way the lying media exploits what’s best in us — our desire to help and trust others as though they’re one of our kin — to get us to surrender to globalism.

Norman’s last book, Bridge Over Blood River,” published first in Swedish in 2015, despite coming from a liberal perspective, apparently gave a fair shake to Afrikaners who believe they’re going extinct in post-apartheid South Africa.

One of the reviews on Amazon says she let the Afrikaners speak and it was “very different from the usual hatchet jobs.”

BREAKING: Austrian church attacked and religious monks taken hostage – Five seriously injured

Capture

Updated 19:17 GMT

On Thursday, two strangers stormed a Catholic Church in Vienna Austria and attacked and took hostage several monks, newspaper Krone reports.

The men tied up and robbed the monks in a brutal attack. As a result at least five victims are seriously injured.

Afterwards, the suspects fled the scene. The victims were discovered around 4:15 pm and had already been tied up for several hours.

The two perpetrators attacked the church around 1:30 pm.  According to Russia Today:

“Police have confirmed that five people, all of them monks, were injured in the attack. One monk suffered serious injuries. A 68-year-old monk was at the premises of the church when the robbers broke in. They threatened the man with a firearm and forced him to lie on the ground.

“The perpetrators then hit him and trampled upon him, inflicting serious head injuries, the Austrian Kronen Zeitung reports. Four more monks, who arrived at the church later, were also attacked and injured, police spokesman Harald Soeroes told Kronen Zeitung.

“The suspects are still on the run, their identities unknown. Soeroes described one of the suspects as a 5.9-feet tall man with dark hair. “Both men speak German and have a foreign accent,” the police spokesman said.”

A Huge police operation started immediately and a Cobra helicopter is circling the area. The area between Langenzersdorferstraße, Anton-Böck-Straße and Krottenhofgasse was cordoned off in a large scale operation. “Please avoid the restricted area and let our colleagues work locally,” the police warned via Twitter.

Capture

Currently, according to the investigators there is no suspicion of terrorism, but the exact motive is still unknown. However, according to reports, one of the perpetrators has been behaving suspiciously for days around the church.

Police special forces of WEGA and tactical unit Cobra have come into action.

“According to the currently available information, all the people injured as a result of the attack by unknown persons are staff of the Catholic church. The preliminary information indicates that it was a robbery. We are checking whether there are Russian citizens among those injured,” the embassy’s spokesman Bulat Haydarov told Sputnik.

Finland to Start Imprisoning Illegal Migrants

By Ben Warren

Finland has created a new law allowing the imprisonment of illegal migrants.

The law specifically targets migrants who enter the country after they were given an “entry ban,” according to the Finnish Ministry of Justice.

“The President of the Republic today adopted amendments to the law by which a new provision on violation of the ban on entry is added,” said the Ministry. “To date, violation of the prohibition has generally led to fines for foreigners offenses.”

“In the future, the punishment for breach of the ban shall be fines or imprisonment for a maximum of one year.”

Additionally, the law is effective at the start of 2019 and authorities expect it to discourage further illegal movement into the country.

This legal maneuver against the surge of migrants comes after Finland’s Immigration Service (Migri) admitted they couldn’t identify almost half of the migrants applying for asylum.

“People who are fleeing do not have the possibility of leaving with the required documents in their pockets,” said a Migri official. “Some of them come from countries that don’t even have passport systems.”

Correspondingly, it is unclear if the country has enough prison space to honor the new law as Migri is on record demanding more funding to construct additional facilities for migrants.

SOUTHERN EUROPE Italian Minister tells NGO Italy doesn’t want migrants: “Our ports are closed!”

By

Italy’s populist Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini announces that Italian ports are CLOSED.

The migrants were picked up from Libya intending to go to Malta but were turned away from Malta so the NGO Proactiva Open Arms requested to be allowed entry to Italy.

Salvini replied: “My answer is clear: Italian ports are closed!” Mr Salvini tweeted. “For the traffickers of human beings and for those who help them, the fun is over.”

This sparked anger in the human trafficking NGO who replied on twitter: “We continue with 311 people on board, without port and in need of supplies,” saying that they had rescued more than 300 migrants from three vessels in difficulty, including men, women, children and babies.

Committing the logical fallacy of appealing to emotions, they went on to say:

“If you could feel the cold in the images, it would be easier to understand the emergency. No port to disembark and Malta’s refusal to give us food. This isn’t Christmas.” An odd thing to say given the majority of the migrants are of the Islamic faith, thereby not celebrating Christmas anyway.

Tweeting further to Matteo, Open Arms’ founder Oscar Camps went onto say that “your rhetoric and your message will, like everything in this life, end. But you should know that in a few decades your descendants will be ashamed of what you do and say.”

Many countries are showing opposition to the economic migrants paying a high financial cost to be brought by human traffickers when real refugees can’t afford to and are left behind in their countries.

CHUCK SCHUMER SAYS REPUBLICANS MUST ‘ABANDON’ WALL IN ORDER TO REOPEN GOVERNMENT

See the source image

Henry Rodgers | Capitol Hill Reporter

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Republicans need to “abandon” border wall funding if they want the government to reopen, just less than 24 hours into the partial shutdown.

Schumer, who has strongly opposed funding President Donald Trump’s border wall, saidthis on the Senate floor Saturday afternoon as the federal government is officially in a partial shutdown after Senate Republicans failed to receive enough votes to pass a short-term spending bill Friday that included funding for a border wall.

WATCH:

The New York senator also said Democrats are “open to discussing any proposal as long as they do not include anything for the wall,” showing Democrats are not willing to compromise on border wall funding.

Capture

Before the partial shutdown, Schumer said there was no way the wall was being funded on numerous occasions.

“I want to be crystal clear — there will be no additional appropriations to pay for the border wall,” Schumer said on the Senate floor on Dec. 13. “It’s done.” (RELATED: Chuck Schumer Makes It ‘Crystal Clear’ He Wants No Additional Funding For Border Wall)

The two parties will now have to figure out an agreement, and the senators must be present for a vote on the Senate floor to send a bill to the president to sign and end the partial government shutdown.

THE NEW YORK TIMES WAS AGAINST WAR IN SYRIA BEFORE IT WAS FOR IT

What a difference a year can make for The New York Times

By Joe Simonson

What a difference a year can make for The New York Times.

As President Donald Trump announced his decision Wednesday to withdraw the nation’s 2,000 troops from Syria, a bipartisan cadre of opinion-havers attacked him as recklessly abandoning allies in the region and jeopardizing America’s influence over foreign affairs.

One newspaper was particularly harsh: The Times.

Quickly after Secretary of Defense James Mattis announced his resignation (in part as a protest against Trump’s decision on Syria) Thursday, America’s paper of record quickly produced a scathing editorial, proclaimingJim Mattis Was Right.”

See the source image

“Who will protect America now?” The Times asked.

The editorial frets about how American troops leaving Syria “hampers morale” of “allied forces like the Kurds.” (RELATED: Trump Explains His Decision To Withdraw From Syria)

“It could also risk getting American soldiers killed or wounded for objectives their commanders had already abandoned,” writes The Times.

Yet almost a year ago, on Jan. 19, 2018, that same editorial board raked the president over the coals for even daring to continue America’s policy of military adventurism.

The Times expressed concern that more American troops beyond the 2,000 initially deployed could soon be sent overseas in a mission without any clear goals.

“Syria is a complex problem. But this plan seems poorly conceived, too dependent on military action and fueled by wishful thinking,” The Times said.

See the source image

While on Thursday The Times worried that leaving Syria could leave the Kurds vulnerable to Turkey, at the beginning of 2018, the paper also believed that the U.S. would be setting up a clash between the minority group and a NATO ally.

“Turkey, which views the Kurds as an enemy, has threatened a cross-border assault. All of this raises the grim possibility that American troops will clash with Turkey, a NATO ally,” The Times wrote last January.

Nowhere in Thursday’s editorial does The Times ever point to an alternative timeline for withdrawal for American forces in Syria. Such an omission is quite startling, considering last January the paper’s chief criticism of sending forces to the region was setting up just another forever-war in the Middle East.

One thing is clear from these two diametrically opposed editorials: The job of The Times isn’t to provide valid criticisms of Trump, but to simply oppose him at all costs.

Pure Evil: ISIS Sent Beheading Video of Scandinavian Female Hikers to Victim’s Mother!

Over a dozen ISIS terrorists were arrested this week after the slaughter of two female Scandinavian hikers in Morocco.

ISIS beheaded one of the women and posted the video online.

The police released photos of three ISIS terorists were arrested for the crime.

The ISIS killers then sent video of the beheading to the victim’s mother.

The Daily Mail reported:

Horrific images showing one of the murdered Scandinavian tourists being beheaded in Morocco have been sent to a victim’s mother, it has emerged.

ISIS fanatics gloated about the killing of Dane Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, 24, and Norwegian Maren Ueland, 28, by spreading the gruesome footage on social media.

The clip, in which a suspected ISIS terrorist shouts ‘it’s Allah’s will’, was also sent to friends of Ms Jespersen via ‘private messenger’, it has been claimed.

It has since been revealed that horrific images of the slain tourists have been posted on the Facebook page of Ms Ueland’s mother Irene. Some Moroccans bizarrely posted the images in a misguided bid to express sympathy along with calls for the killers to be executed.

Earlier, it was claimed that footage itself had been sent to friends of Ms Jespersen. While it is not clear exactly who sent them the footage, there will be strong suspicions it would have been from warped ISIS sympathisers.

What a lovely woman.
