The legislation allows the court system to seize legally owned firearms without a criminal conviction. Private individuals, law enforcement and school administration can request that judges impose gun confiscation on those they personally deem a threat to themselves or others.
The bill lays out a process through which a judge can issue an order preventing individuals deemed to be a security risk from either possessing or buying a gun for six days.
During that period, a hearing would be held in which the judge could extend the gun ownership ban for up to a year- all without any form of criminal conviction, and merely at the request on an individual who deems another to be a dangerous threat.
The backdoor, extrajudicial gun confiscation is gaining popularity across the country, as an alternative to policies that would ordinarily require criminal convictions to strip Americans of their Second Amendment Rights.
New York already has some of the toughest gun control laws in the country. Firearms deemed to be “assault weapons”are banned, and the state has imposed a licensing system for ownership of all guns.
Gun ownership in New York City itself is largely restricted to the wealthy and politically connected, as the city utilizes a complicated permit system that largely prices out middle and working-class law abiding citizens from gun ownership.
Actress Ellen Page addressed her role in promoting the Jussie Smollett hate hoax in an op-ed published Wednesday and refused to apologize to President Donald Trump and Vice President Pence for blaming them for the “attack.”
“The conversation around Jussie Smollett has led us all to examine hate violence and its implications and aftermath,” Ellen Page wrote in The Hollywood Reporter.
“I had no reason to doubt Jussie. My work on Gaycation — the docuseries I produced to chronicle LGBTQ+ stories from around the world — introduced me to many survivors of hate violence. I know how prevalent and pernicious it can be. If this situation was staged, it could make victims even more reluctant to report these crimes. Very real crimes.”
While the media and public debate the case and await more information, we must not lose sight of the very real, endemic violence that LGBTQ+ people, people of color and other underrepresented communities face every day.
I ask you not to question our pain, not to draw into question our trauma, but to maintain, wholeheartedly, that hate violence exists. The merits of one case should not and cannot call that into question. The media coverage does not convey the reality and totality of the cruelty and danger we face. This is the story that must be told.
…
When the rhetoric we read and the hate speech we hear comes from our politicians, our media and entertainment, our neighbors and families and our religious leaders, we internalize the pain in damaging, self-defeating ways. We are wary and afraid to report hate violence. We lose hope as we continue to be victimized. The cruelty, the hate and the words manifest shame.
In the article, she fails to apologize for her role in casting blame on Donald Trump and Mike Pence for the “attack” on Empire actor Jussie Smollett, that Chicago police now believe was staged by the actor himself.
Following the hoax attack, the Juno actress appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and blamed the Trump administration for the hoax attack. Many Hollywood celebrities also blamed Trump and his supporters for the “attack.”
“The vice president of America wishes I didn’t have the love with my wife,” the 32-year-old said.
“If you are in a position of power and you hate people, and you want to cause suffering to them, you go through the trouble, you spend your career trying to cause suffering, what do you think is going to happen? Kids are going to be abused and they’re going to kill themselves, and people are going to be beaten on the street!”
Page even defended Smollett personally, saying, “We have a media that says it’s a debate that whether or not what happened to Jussie Smollett is a hate crime. It’s absurd. Its not a fucking debate.”
That interview, posted on Colbert’s YouTube page under the title, “Ellen Page Calls Out Hateful Leadership,”went viral.
President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen is testifying before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday morning as the president holds high-level peace talks with North Korean leader in Vietnam.
Cohen told the House committee that Trump had advance knowledge of plans to release Democratic emails during the 2016 campaign.
Republican Rep. Jim Jordan went off at the start of the hearing.
Jordan slammed the Democrats and Cohen team of leaking his testimony to CNN before the GOP had a chance to review the material.
Rep. Jim Jordan: “You know who had this material before all the members of the committee? CNN had it before it we did. CNN had the evidence before we did. I want to be recognized.”
Wow!

Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA) compared federal U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents to Nazis “back in Germany” on Tuesday during a hearing on the border in the House Judiciary Committee.
“As I’ve been listening here, I’ve been struck a couple times by the denial of humanity of many of these families and children,” Scanlon said. “When the issue is framed as an invasion by aliens and when we refer to children as UACs, it’s easier to pretend that they’re not human and worthy of compassion.”
“When you say that the cause of migration is legal loopholes or bad judicial decisions, rather than the dire conditions of violence and poverty in these people’s home countries that’s literally driving them from home, I think it’s easier to slam the door against these kids and these families,” Scanlon continued. “This hearing is a recognition and an insistence that on that humanity…a recognition that just following orders is no more an excuse today than it was back in Germany.”

This is not the first time that Democratic lawmakers have demonized federal law enforcement officials to push their open-borders agenda.
In November, The Daily Wire reported that “Democratic California Senator Kamala Harris compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) during a Senate hearing” and “appeared to suggest that they act like a terrorist organization toward foreign nationals who are illegally in the United States.”
“Harris made the comparison during a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hearing to consider the nomination of Ronald Vitello to be the new director of ICE,” The Daily Wire added. “Harris asked Vitiello about comments he previously made in which he referred to the Democratic Party as ‘liberalcratic’ or ‘NeoKlanist,’ in an attempt to publicly shame him. Harris repeatedly pressed him to explain why he made the remark and why the remark was wrong for him to make.”
“The Klan was what we could call today a domestic terrorist group,” said Vitiello.
“Why?” Harris asked. “Why would we call them a domestic terrorist group?”
“Because they tried to use fear and force to change the political environment,” Vitiello responded.
“And what was the motivation for the use of fear and force?” Harris continued.
“It was based on race and ethnicity, “ Vitiello answered.
“Right, and are you aware of the perception of many about how the power and discretion at ICE is being used to enforce the law and do you see any parallels?” Harris asked.
“I do not see any parallels between sworn officers and agents —”Vitiello said before he was cut off.
“I’m talking about perception,” Harris fired back.
“I do not see a parallel between what is constitutionally mandated as it related to enforcing the law,” Vitiello replied. “I see no perception that puts ICE in the same category as the KKK.”

Other Democratic lawmakers, like Sen. Mazie Hirono (HI), have at times been unaware of basic immigration terminology policy and have had to be educated by federal officials during hearings.
In July, The Daily Wire reported that “Matthew T. Albence, Executive Associate Director for Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) at ICE had to inform Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) that illegal aliens face prosecution because they have broken the law.”
“Mr. Albence, would you send your children to FRCs?” Hirono asked.
“Again, I think we’re missing the point,” Albence responded. “These individuals are there because they have broken a law. There has to be a process.”
“They have broken a law but only as deemed so by the president with his —” Hirono replied before being cut off.
“No ma’am,”Albence shot back. “They are there for violation of Title 8 of the U.S. Nationality Act. Okay. U.S.C. 1325. That’s illegal entry is both a criminal and civil violation. They are in those FRCs pending the outcome of that civil immigration process. They have broken the law.”
Police said Rosiane Santos walked by Bryton Turner as he was eating dinner at Casa Vallarta and knocked the hat off his head. She then allegedly confronted him verbally.
Turner recorded video showing some of the confrontation.
Falmouth Police charged Santos with disorderly conduct following the incident earlier this month. On Tuesday, ICE took her into custody.
“Deportation officers with ICE’s Fugitive Operations Team arrested Rosiane Santos, an unlawfully present citizen of Brazil, today near Falmouth, Massachusetts,” said ICE spokesman John Mohan.
Turner said he was just trying to eat a nice meal when Santos grabbed his hat supporting President Trump.
“It’s just a hat at the end of the day,” Turner told WBZ after the incident. “I don’t really understand why people can’t just express themselves anymore, everybody has to get mad.”
Santos was later released from ICE custody. She has been ordered to appear before an immigration judge for removal proceedings.
International logistics giant UPS has suspended all home deliveries in Rosengård, Sweden, citing attacks on drivers, according tolocal media.
After a Rosengård photographer did not receive a package he had ordered, he contacted the seller to find out why and was reportedly told UPS could not deliver to his house, “because of the risk of being subjected to robbery or other crimes.”
A UPS Sweden spokesperson confirmed the policy in response to an inquiry by Fria Tider, saying, “Our drivers have been attacked and therefore we have decided not to hand out packages in Rosengård.”
Sweden’s postal service, PostNord, has reportedly been forced to suspend deliveries in Rosengård on multiple occasions in recent years, as well.
“The postmen can go there without being threatened, but if we drive there with the package car they will be threatened,” a PostNord spokesman told Aftonbladet. “It has to do with the value, what is in the packages.”
“We must think of our staff first.”
In 2017, electrical maintenance company Högs EL announced it could no longer serve customers in Malmö, citing a “prevailing security risk” posed by “violence and shootings” in the area.
Another video has emerged showing a young Trump supporter being harassed, attacked, and intimidated — this time by a bigger student at a high school.
The attack reportedly occurred at the Edmond Santa Fe High School in Edmond, Oklahoma, wherein an older student knocked a Make America Great Again off the younger student and tried to rip away his Trump banner.
“You gotta take it off,” the bully told him. “Take it off now.”
As the younger student tried to walk past him, the bully said: “Hey where you think you’re going? You goin’ to take it off or you want me to rip it off? You want me to rip it off?”
“I can rip it off or I can burn it. Which one you want?” the bully continued.
The younger student didn’t retaliate, while other students tried to intervene and calm the unhinged bully, who only continued to try to tear the Trump flag from the boy’s grasp.
As we reported, attacks against Trump supporters wearing MAGA hats has reached a point of occurring almost daily while the mainstream media blacks them out, and instead covers hate crime hoaxes to demonize Trump supporters.
At least four attacks against Trump supporters took place in the last two weeks alone.
Last week, a woman assaulted a man for simply wearing a MAGA hat.
In one of the most notorious cases against young Trump supporters, a grown man stole the MAGA hat from a teenager inside a Whataburger, then tossed a drink in his face saying, “You ain’t supporting shit, nigga.”
Thanks to the frothing media, unprovoked attacks against Trump supporters have become commonplace in America, but you wouldn’t know that by watching the news.
