‘ISLAM IS RIGHT ABOUT WOMEN’ SIGNS APPEAR IN AUSTIN, TEXAS

'Islam is Right About Women' Signs Appear in Austin, Texas

Progressives still confused about who to be offended on behalf of.

  – OCTOBER 14, 2019

Having appeared in numerous cities all over the world last month, signs that read “Islam is right about women” have now been seen in Austin, Texas.

An image of the sign was posted on The Donald subreddit with the caption, “Which of you beautiful bastards plastered these all over SW Austin last night? My next door app is blowing up with confusion. Absolutely hilarious.”

The posters previously appeared in Winchester, Massachusetts, causing a mini moral panic and the police to be called in to investigate.

They also popped up in Limerick, Ireland, prompting a local councillor to assert that the signs were intended to “incite hate” towards “either women or Muslims” (she wasn’t sure who).

The meme is a 4chan troll designed to confuse muddled leftists who attempt to support Islam and women’s rights at the same time without realizing how the two contradict each other.

What makes the meme funny is that leftists routinely react with outrage, but don’t know quite who to be outraged on behalf of.

If they find the message offensive, they can be accused of being bigoted towards Muslims.

However, if they don’t sufficiently explain why they are offended, they can be accused of being hateful towards women, given how some women are treated as second class citizens in Islamic societies.

“The result is that those who attempt to explain why the act is offensive end up simply tying themselves in knots, while revealing that they have never given a moment’s thought to the position they find themselves defending,” writes Alla Al-Ameri.

“This seems to generate even more anger, with the inevitable online mob quickly joined by politicians, journalists and other public figures, eager to see that the heretic is made an example of.”

TRUMP EFFECT: United Nations Complains It Will Run Out of Money in Three Weeks

Globalism may be on its last legs.

By Shane Trejo

United Nations’ Secretary General Antonio Guterres complained on Monday that his globalist organization is running a massive deficit of $230 million and could run out of money at the end of the month due to their profligate spending.

“Member States have paid only 70 percent of the total amount needed for our regular budget operations in 2019. This translates into a cash shortage of $230 million at the end of September. We run the risk of depleting our backup liquidity reserves by the end of the month,” he wrote.

Only 129 member states out of 193 have paid their membership dues, as more countries become sick of the UN’s overreach as they attempt to push dangerous migrants into first-world nations across the planet. They are urging derelict countries to pay up to keep the UN solvent.

“This is the only way to avoid a default that could risk disrupting operations globally. The Secretary-General further asked governments to address the underlying reasons for the crisis and agree on measures to put the United Nations on a sound financial footing,” UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said.

After announcing a $4 billion rescission to halt foreign aid mostly to the globalist United Nations, President Donald Trump has done a complete reversal after consulting with Congressional swamp rats and neocon globalists within his administration.

The fiscal hawks in the Trump administration have lost once again, and they are placing the blame on Congress for convincing Trump to do the wrong thing and reverse the cuts.

“The president has been clear that there is fat in our foreign assistance and we need to be wise about where U.S. money is going,” a senior administration official said. “Which is why he asked the administration to look into options to doing just that. It’s clear that there are those on the Hill who aren’t willing to join in curbing wasteful spending.”

However, it is more likely that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin were more influential in convincing the the President to reverse course. According to a Politico report, these neoconservatives got into Trump’s ear and tricked him into believing that the foreign aid cuts would hurt national security and alienate Democrats before upcoming negotiations over a shutdown deadline.

However, with the UN being so corrupt and mismanaged, they may just fall apart on their own without the Trump administration needing to administer massive cuts. They will have to scramble to stay afloat, as member states increasingly see no tangible benefit in paying their dues.

Pelosi Faces Tough Decision On Formal Impeachment Vote As Case Against Trump Comes Under Pressure

By Tyler Durden

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is in a tough spot. After caving in to pressure from her party to launch an impeachment inquiry based on a CIA ‘whistleblower’ report that Trump abused his office to pressure Ukraine into investigating 2020 rival Joe Biden, Pelosi must now decide on whether to proceed with a formal vote amid mounting evidence that Trump did nothing wrong.

Trump has pushed for a vote – which would allow Republicans to issue subpoenas, as well as grant the White House the ability to cross-examine witnesses. To that end, the White House outlined in a Tuesday letter that they will refuse to cooperate with an inquiry that is “invalid” due to Pelosi’s refusal to make it official.

“Never before in our history has the House of Representatives — under the control of either political party — taken the American people down the dangerous path you seem determined to pursue,” wrote White House counsel Pat Cipollone.

When asked on Wednesday if he would cooperate with Pelosi’s impeachment inquiry, Trump told reporters “we would if they give us our rights, it depends.”

Pelosi, meanwhile, says the effort to force a vote is nothing more than a “Republican talking point.”

“If we want to do it, we’ll do it. If we don’t, we don’t. But we’re certainly not going to do it because of the president,” said Pelosi in an interview last week with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

A decision whether to call the president’s bluff is likely to be a main topic when Pelosi convenes a conference call with House Democrats at the end of the week. Representative Dan Kildee of Michigan, one of the leadership’s vote counters, said Democrats could easily pass a resolution authorizing the impeachment inquiry with as many as 230 votes.

With the White House vowing to block any cooperation, Pelosi is scheduled to hold the conference call on Friday to chart the next steps. The committees conducting the investigation have already issued a salvo of subpoenas for testimony or records directed at administration officials such as Secretary of State Michael Pompeo as well as Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani. –Bloomberg

“We continue investigating and digging to uncover more of the truth. Nothing has changed,” said Pelosi spokeswoman Ashley Etienne on Wednesday, adding that Democrats have yet to settle on legal or tactical responses to the White House letter.

Pushback

House Republicans led by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California have been “using ads, press releases and other efforts to hammer Democratic House members from GOP-leaning districts over impeachment,” according to Bloomberg.

Trump and Republicans also have complained about the fairness of the process, citing closed-door hearings, and what they say are limitations by committee Republicans to subpoena their own rebuttal witnesses, or for the White House to have legal counsel in the room during depositions. –Bloomberg

According to Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH): “If Democrats were interested in fairness, they would follow the same process as previous impeachment proceedings. Instead, they just make up the rules as they go along.”

Quid Pro Nope

The House impeachment inquiry was launched after a CIA officer reported that President Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and his son Hunter for alleged corruption.

After Democrats uncritically launched their impeachment inquiry based on the initial whistleblower report, the White House upset their strategy – releasing a transcript of the call between Zelensky and Trump and the whistleblower complaint itself – plain readings of which reveal that Trump did not threaten, pressure or suggest a quid pro quo in exchange for a Biden investigation. Furthermore, Zelensky himself has said as much.

So as the case against Trump continues to unravel, Pelosi and the Democrats have some tough decisions to make as we head into the 2020 election.

UNIVERSITY BANS WHITE STUDENTS FROM ATTENDING ANTI-RACISM MEETING

University Bans White Students From Attending Anti-Racism Meeting

Oh, the irony.

  – OCTOBER 10, 2019

The University of Sheffield Student’s Union in the UK has banned white people from attending a meeting about anti-racism.

Yes, really.

The SU announced that it would hold focus groups on “how we can create an anti-racist Students’ Union” as part of an effort to shift from a “non-racist to an actively anti-racist” stance.

However, no white people are allowed to take part.

“Please note that these sessions are only open to black and minority ethnic (BME) students,” states the announcement.

Banning people from a meeting about racism because of their skin color is…what’s the word? Oh yeah, racist.

The controversy follows a similar farce at the University of Edinburgh where white people were banned from asking questions at an event called Resisting Whiteness.

“We will not be giving the microphone to white people during the Q&As, not because we don’t think white people have anything to offer to the discussion but because we want to amplify the voices of people of colour,” stated promotional material for the event.

Sports – NBA Now Requiring All Players To Stand For Chinese National Anthem

By Babylon Bee

NEW YORK, NY—In an effort to salvage its relationship with China, the NBA is now requiring all players to stand for the Chinese national anthem at the beginning of every game.

The official song of the People’s Republic of China, “March of the Volunteers,” will be played at the start of all professional basketball games, whether at home or abroad. All players, fans, coaches, and employees will be required to stand and solemnly sing lyrics including the following:

Millions of but one heart we run towards the Communist tomorrow!
Build our homeland, guard our homeland, and fight gallantly.
March on! March on! March on!
We, for tens of thousands of generations to come,
Hold high the Flag of Mao Zedong, march on!

“We hope this gesture of goodwill will show China that we love them and there is no need for our multi-billion-dollar deal to fall through,” said NBA Commissioner Adam Silver. “March on, Mao!” Silver then performed a soft jazz rendition of the tune and bowed low to the ground to show President Xi Jinping that he is very sorry.

Anyone who doesn’t comply will be shot, a beloved Chinese custom that should further smooth things over with the authoritarian regime.

Joe Biden, Father of Hunter, Calls for Trump Impeachment ‘He Is Shooting Holes in the Constitution’

CAP

By Pam Key

On Wednesday, 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful former Vice President Joe Biden at a town hall in Rochester, NH called for President Donald Trump to be impeached.

CNN was there with cameras to capture the moment.

Biden said, “With his words and his actions, President Trump has indicted himself by obstructing justice, refusing to comply with the congressional inquiry. He’s also convicted himself in full view of the world and the American people, Donald Trump has violated his oath of office, betrayed this nation and committed impeachable acts.”

He continued, “You know to preserve our constitution, our democracy, our basic integrity. He should be impeached. That’s not only because of what he’s done. To answer whether he’s committed acts sufficient to warrant impeachment is obvious. We see it in Trump’s own words. We see it in the texts from state department officials that have been made public. We see it in his pulling much of the United States government into his corrupt schemes, individuals within the government, his appointees. But we have to remember that impeachment isn’t only about what the president’s done. It’s about the threat the president poses to the nation if allowed to remain in office. One thing about this president is absolutely clear, and I don’t think anyone can contradict this, he has seen no limits to his power regardless of what the Constitution says.”

He added, “He believes the entire United States government can be corrupted into furthering his personal political needs. He’s even willing to hold Congress and congressionally appropriated aid to a foreign nation hostage to his personal political demands. He believes if he does something, it’s legal, period. And perhaps most importantly, he believes there is nothing we can do about it. He believes he can and will get away with anything he does. We all laughed when he said he could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot someone and get away with it. It’s no joke. He’s shooting holes in the Constitution, and we can not let him get away with it.”
