Blue State Blues: Michelle Obama Cannot Save the Democrats

The whispers have been going ’round for a while, but on Wednesday night they burst into the open, after the second debate: Democrats are worried none of their candidates can defeat Donald Trump.
“Is it possible that the Democrats have an overflow of talent but no one who’s precisely right?” wrote Frank Bruni of the New York Times.
Pundits on CNN looked dismayed: all of the frontrunners emerged bruised from the debates, and remain hopelessly left-wing.
Some want former first lady Michelle Obama to joint the presidential race before it is too late. Left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore — who predicted Trump’s victory in 2016 — declared in an extended rant on MSNBC that Michelle Obama is the “one person that would crush Trump.”
The woman who once told Democrats, “When they go low, we go high,” is really a “street fighter,” Moore said. “He wouldn’t be able to bully her, he wouldn’t be able to nickname her.”
The former first lady is very popular, though at times controversial. But Michelle Obama is not the answer to the problem that the Democratic Party has at the moment, which is that it has moved so far to the left that even Barack Obama himself is considered too moderate.
Obama has been taking a beating lately — including from Joe Biden, whom Obama rescued from the political “trash heap,” as Trump is fond of saying (accurately, by the way).
There was always a quiet undercurrent of left-wing impatience with the Obama administration. His supporters knew he shared their radical views, but were frustrated that he often tried to mask them, or to set them aside in deference to the inescapable responsibilities of governing.
Left-wing opposition to Obama was first visible when he — reluctantly– announced the Afghanistan “surge” in 2009 (including a timeline for withdrawal that largely doomed the mission.)
Later, after the Tea Party ushered Republicans back into power in the House of Representatives, the left took matters into their own hands and launched the Occupy Wall Street movement, which Obama backed but did not, in fact, lead.
Everyone “knew” Obama favored gay marriage, religious protestations notwithstanding. But it took Biden blurting out in 2012 that he was “absolutely comfortable” with it to force Obama himself to come out of the proverbial closet.
Obama preferred “leading from behind.” But he unleashed a force Democrats can no longer control. It was Obama, not Trump, who avoided negotiating with Congress, preferring to use his “pen and phone” to impose his will, often against the Constitution.
It was Obama who told his supporters their mission was “fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Bill Clinton lost the 1994 midterms and moved to the middle. Obama lost in 2010 and 2014 and moved further left.
The left never understood the frustration with Obama had nothing to do with race and everything to do with the fact that his policies favored Wall Street and ignored Main Street. They never learned that many of Obama’s ideas were bad, because the media never held him accountable.
The left took the wrong lesson from his failures: namely, that he lacked the will to follow his ideas through to the end. They want to finish what he started.

New York City Store Owner Beaten by ‘Pack of Teens’ For Wearing MAGA Hat

A New York City store owner told police that a ‘pack of teens’ viciously attacked him on Monday night for wearing a “MAGA” hat.
Jahangir Turan, 42, said he was attacked by 15 “kids” Monday on Canal Street who were screaming “F*ck Trump!” then beat him.
No description of the pack of teens was provided.
Mr. Turan said he suffered from a damaged and swollen eye and other injured body parts, reported Fox 5 NY.
Turan filed a police report and is planning on holding a news conference Thursday afternoon to demand NYPD find the teens who beat him.
Trump supporters are routinely harassed and beaten by leftist thugs yet the media conveniently ignores the violence coming from the left.
The owner of a New York City art shop located in the exclusive Billionaire’s Row area claims he was viciously beaten Tuesday evening by a group on Canal Street for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
With a swollen face, bruises and black eye Jahangir “John” Turan — owner of the David Parker Gallery which sells art work by Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró, among other celebrated artists — says he was on his way to a meeting with a client after buying a MAGA hat when he came across a group of “kids,” who he described as being 18 to 20 years old, while walking on Canal Street toward West Broadway.
He says he was passing the group when a girl in the group “flipped” his hat onto the street. Allegedly, when he bent down to get it, the rest of the group “started pounding” on him, grabbed his head and hit it against a pole.

Witnesses scream as horrific attack caught on camera

A Syrian migrant brutally killed a man with a sword during a broad daylight attack in Stuttgart, Germany.
The horrific incident was seen by numerous witnesses and began after the 28-year-old Syrian got into a heated argument with his 36-year-old German-Kazakh roommate.
A video of the incident shows the perpetrator ruthlessly plunging the sword into the victim as he lay on the ground. According to reports, the victim had his arm completely hacked off.
Although the reason for the conflict is unknown, the perpetrator was heard repeatedly asking his victim, “Why have you done that?”
“The perpetrator attempted to escape using a bicycle, but police, who were pursuing him by helicopter, were eventually able to capture him,” reports Sputnik.
The shocking incident is likely to stir more debate over the influx of Syrian migrants into Germany over the last few years.
On Monday, an 8-year-old boy was killed after being hit by a high speed train when an Eritrean migrant pushed him and his mother onto the tracks at Frankfurt’s main station.
The REAL Kids at the Border Problem: Kids Purchased By Illegal Aliens to Help Stay In U.S.

If liberals really cared about the kids in detention centers they would care about the kids purchased by illegal aliens to help them stay in the U.S. Eventually many of those children are sent home where they are recycled and sold or rented to a different illegal about to make the trip north.
As Angel mom Mary Ann Mendoza said in response to Alyssa Milano’s video where she feigns crying about separated children:
The percentage of trafficked children is so much higher than those separated. Thank goodness our Border Patrol men and women are aware of this and are helping those children whom Alyssa has never mentioned,”

The truth is that too many of these children are being separated from their families long before the walk to the U.S. begins. The Epoch Times interviewed the Acting DHS Secretary about South and Central American children are being bought, sold, stolen, and “rented” over and over again to illegals trying to force their way into our country. Some of these babies as young as a few months and as old as five or six have been through the U.S. border over and over again after being sent back for some other illegals to pretend to be their parent.
“We’ve had indications … that it could cost anywhere from a few hundred—or even in some cases, less than $100—up to $1,000 or more,” said Kevin McAleenan, acting secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), during a congressional hearing on July 18.
McAleenan said in one case, a 51-year-old illegal alien had purchased a 6-month-old baby for $80 in Guatemala so that he could easily get into the United States. The man, a Honduran national, confessed to border agents when he was faced with a DNA test.
Back in May, this site reported that A DHS pilot program using rapid DNA testing at the border has found that nearly a third of Adults bringing kids across the border weren’t biologically related to the children in their custody. We’re not talking about step-parents, adoptive parents, etc., it is all about kids being used as a tool to get across the border. It’s time for that program to be examined.
Homeland Security Investigations, a division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), sent 400 agents to El Paso and Rio Grande Valley, Texas, in mid-April to interview families that Border Patrol suspected were fake. In the past eight weeks, HSI special agents have identified 5,500 fraudulent families—about 15 percent of all cases referred.
McAleenan said agents have uncovered 921 fake documents, and 615 individuals have been prosecuted for trafficking or smuggling a child.
“That tells me that we might be scratching the surface of this problem and the number of children being put at risk might be even higher,” he said.
“Everybody knows that if they bring a child, they’ll be allowed to stay in the United States—they call it a ‘passport for migration.’ I heard that directly from a gentleman from Huehuetenango, the westernmost province of Guatemala.”
Children are being used as a “get out of jail free” card for illegal aliens to get into America. Adults, even unrelated adults know if they have children with them, they will probably be allowed to stay in the country. Border agents have also encountered recycling rings, where innocent kids are used multiple times to help aliens gain illegal entry
McAleenan said smugglers pair up adults and children.
“If they have an individual who wants to go to the United States and someone else has a child that they might want to make some additional money renting [out], or they want the child delivered to a relative in the United States,” they’ll buy fake documents and then get smuggled to the border.
“There’s a whole fake document operation in all three countries,” McAleenan said, referring to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador.
“The vulnerabilities in our legal framework [are] incentivizing smugglers and families to put children at risk. The recycling problem is maybe the worst manifestation of that,” he said. Recycling refers to when a child is used by an adult to get across the border easily as a “family unit,” then sent back to be used again.
Folks this is child abuse! If the liberals want to fix the problem of children at detention centers they should stop blaming ICE, they are the ones taking care of the kids when they are dragged across the border by a total stranger. If they want to help they need to change the law so bringing a child along is no longer an illegal immigrant’s free ticket into the US. But the truth is that they don’t really care about the kids, they only care about politics.
UK ‘up to its neck’ in Russiagate affair, says George Galloway, as secret texts reveal British role
While hysteria raged about possible Russian “interference” in the 2016 US election, British intelligence officials were secretly playing a “key role” in helping instigate investigations into Donald Trump, secret texts have shown.
“Turns out it was Britain that was the foreign country interfering in American affairs,” former MP George Galloway told RT, speaking about the new revelations published by the Guardian about early British involvement in the ‘Russiagate’ investigation.
The Guardian reported on texts between former deputy FBI director Andrew McCabe and Jeremy Fleming, his then counterpart at MI5, who now heads GCHQ. The two men met in 2016 to discuss “our strange situation” – an apparent reference to Russia’s alleged interference in US domestic politics.
British intelligence “appears to have played a key role in the early stages,” the report said.
Galloway said the revelation was not surprising because people “already knew” that British intelligence had played a part in the Russia-related investigations in the US. He recalled that it was former British spy Christopher Steele who drew up the now-infamous Steele dossier, which made multiple unverifiable and salacious claims about Trump and has since been largely discredited. Britain is “up to its neck in the whole Russiagate affair,” he said.
The texts also reveal that the Brexit vote was viewed by some in the FBI as something that had been influenced by Russia.

Asked what the UK stood to gain by trying to implicate Russia in a US election scandal at a time when then-foreign secretary Boris Johnson was dismissing baseless claims of Russian interference in the Brexit campaign, Galloway noted that Johnson’s comments on Russia have appeared to strangely sway between friendly and antagonistic.
Johnson is like “a sofa that bears the impression of the last person to sit upon him,” the former MP quipped. What happens next will depend on who is leading the tango, “the orange man in Washington or the blonde mop-head in London.”
In June 2016, the FBI opened a covert investigation codenamed ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ into Trump’s now disproven collusion with Moscow, which was later taken over by special counsel Robert Mueller.
Ultimately, the two-year-long probe that followed came up short, producing no evidence to prove a conspiracy or collusion between Trump campaign officials and Russia.
