Another CNN personality who was presenting on the CNN Arabic network as recently as last week appears to have expressed a series of antisemitic sentiments on Twitter, even praising Hitler. This follows the recent resignation of a CNN editor, whose past antisemitic statements surfaced Thursday afternoon.

Kareem Farid heads up a digital tech show on CNN Arabic. He began in January 2019, according to his LinkedIn profile. He is also listed as the Lead of Storytelling and Video Production at APCO Worldwide.”

On Friday, tweets surfaced, showing Farid writing, “I love you Hitler” and commending the Nazi dictator for “his determination to reach his goal.”

Farid responded to some of the resurfaced tweets, claiming that he was merely “commenting on some parts of a biography book” he read about the Nazi dictator.

“In the context in my language doesn’t mean I’m falling in love with him,” Farid claimed. “When you take it out of context of course you will understand it the way you want.”

“If you called Hitler a fascist two days before you proclaimed your love for him that tells me that you love fascists. Thanks for playing,” Schwartz responded.

Farid continued to accuse Schwartz of taking the tweets out of context. One resurfaced tweet shows Farid telling an individual: “You’re the one making us hating [sic] the Jews.”

Farid responded, claiming that he was addressing someone who was “insulting Muslims.” He was “responding to him using his logic,” he asserted.

On Thursday, CNN accepted the resignation of photojournalist Mohammed Elshamy after a series of his previous antisemitic statements surfaced on Twitter Thursday. In one tweet, dated March 23, 2011, Elshamy wrote: “More than 4 jewish pigs killed in #Jerusalem today by the Palestinian bomb explode.”

As Breitbart News reported:

It remains to be seen if CNN will be honest with its audience about this matter and any internal investigations into it. CNN has a history of covering up resignations of people involved in scandals in its organization. In 2017, three senior CNN officials resigned amid a fake news story on the Russia probe–and CNN has still not answered a series of questions about the matter and has not published, as is the ethical standard for organizations purporting to publish news content, its findings of the internal investigation into the publication of that fake news.

It remains to be seen if CNN will address entertaining two individuals who hold such controversial views, however more clarification on the latest case did come later on Friday:

RAND PAUL OFFERS TO BUY ‘UNGRATEFUL’ OMAR A TICKET BACK TO SOMALIA

Rand Paul Offers To Buy 'Ungrateful' Omar A Ticket Back To Somalia

“Maybe after she’s visited Somalia for a while she might come back and appreciate America more”

By Steve Watson

Senator Rand Paul weighed in on the furor surrounding Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar, suggesting that if she went back to Somalia for a while she might appreciate America more than she seemingly does now.

“I hear Rep. Omar say, ‘Oh, America is a terrible place,” Paul  said during an interview with Breitbart on Wednesday.

“I thought there’d be justice but there’s no justice here. It’s like, she came here and we fed her, we clothed her, she got welfare, she got school, she got healthcare, and lo and behold she has the honor of actually winning a seat in Congress and she says we’re a terrible country.” Paul continued.

“I think that’s about as ungrateful as you can get.” the Senator urged.

Paul even offered to contribute toward a ticket for Omar to go back to Somalia.

“So while I’m not saying we forcibly send her anywhere, I’m willing to contribute to buy her a ticket to go visit Somalia.” Paul noted.

“I think she could look and maybe learn a little about bit about the disaster that is Somalia, that has no capitalism, has no God-given rights guaranteed in a Constitution and has about seven different tribes that have been fighting each other for the last 40 years.” he continued.

“And then maybe after she’s visited Somalia for a while she might come back and appreciate America more.” Paul concluded.

It is the same suggestion made by President Trump earlier this month.

Of course, anti-Trumpers took the comments out of context and claimed Trump was suggesting deporting Omar.

Some on social media responded by suggesting that it is actually Rand Paul who hates America, because he voted against the bill to provide further financial assistance to the 9/11 First Responders Victims Fund, while Omar voted in favor of it.

In reality, Paul explained in detail why he voted against the bill, sticking to principles that have seen him also vote against funding for the border wall and disaster relief. He also proposed amendments which would have required offsets for money spent on the fund.

Ilhan Omar, on the other hand, still refuses to condemn Al Qaeda terrorists, and has described the 9/11 attacks as “some people did something.”

RESURFACED INTERVIEW FEATURES ILHAN OMAR URGING AMERICANS TO BE “FEARFUL OF WHITE MEN”

Resurfaced Interview Features Ilhan Omar Urging Americans to be "Fearful of White Men"

“We should be profiling…white men.”

July 25, 2019

A 2018 interview Rep. Ilhan Omar gave to Al-Jazeera has resurfaced in which Omar says Americans should be “more fearful of white men” than potential Islamic terrorists.

Omar was asked if she thought conservatives were right to have a legitimate fear of Islam given the spate of Islamic terror attacks in America, including the 2017 truck attack in New York.

“I would say our country should be more fearful of white men across our country because they are actually causing most of the deaths within this country, and so if fear was the driving force of policies to keep America safe, Americans safe inside of this country, we should be profiling, monitoring, and creating policies to fight the radicalization of white men,” Omar said in response.

The comments are receiving fresh attention due to Omar’s recent spat with President Trump and her repeated refusal to denounce Al-Qaeda and Islamic terrorism.

As we highlighted earlier this week, the Minnesota Congresswoman told an audience she is “disgusted” to be asked to condemn Al-Qaeda and female genital mutilation, arguing that merely posing the question alone is Islamophobic and a “waste of time.”

As Raheem Kassam pointed out, the fact that Mehdi Hasan is hosting in this clip is also of note given that Hasan has previously called non-Muslims “cattle” and “people of no intelligence.”

Rep. Ilhan Omar Calls for Abortion ‘Access’ for Illegal Aliens

Screen Shot 2019-07-23 at 10.31.37 AM

By Dr. Susan Berry – 23 Jul 2019

Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar tweeted Monday that illegal aliens must have “access” to abortion, which she equated with “medical care.”

The Democrat and “Squad” member was reacting to a Vox article claiming, “Immigrants are skipping reproductive health care because they’re afraid of being deported.”

“No one should fear receiving medical care because they are undocumented,” Omar posted. “We must ensure that all people in our country have access to reproductive health.”

Screen Shot 2019-07-23 at 10.35.22 AM

Breitbart News reported that all the Democrat 2020 hopefuls who participated in the second debate night in June said they support taxpayer-funded healthcare for all illegal aliens living in the United States.

Additionally, Omar’s Democrat colleague Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) said over the weekend that American taxpayers must maintain a “lifelong commitment” to illegal alien children by providing them with “mental healthcare services … for the rest of their lives.”

Since Democrats use the language of the abortion industry that claims “abortion is healthcare,” Omar’s call for illegal aliens to have abortion “access” – a euphemism as well for “taxpayer-funded” – is in keeping with their views and is already being shared in left-wing media.

Vox asserts “news of ICE raids and family separation are shaping people’s reproductive lives” in “the Trump era.”

“Immigration and reproductive rights are often treated as separate issues by the media and the public,” writer Anne North suggests. “But advocates say that for people living under threat of deportation in America today, there’s no separating the two.”

Planned Parenthood echoed the same view on Twitter.

Screen Shot 2019-07-23 at 10.38.47 AM

North reports that illegal alien Layidua Salazar underwent an abortion in 2013 in California while going through the deportation process.

“I describe my abortion as coming up for air,” she reportedly told Vox. “It allowed me to feel a sense of control over my future.”

Salazar, however, described her own situation as “unique” because she has been a “reproductive justice” activist and, according to Vox, “knew that a clinic in California would not look into her immigration status.”

She added that illegal aliens have “been in a state of constant fear and anxiety since 2008,” when Barack Obama was elected president.

“[W]e didn’t think it was going to get worse, but boy, it did,” Salazar said about the election of Donald Trump.

ILHAN OMAR MARRIAGE FLUMMOXES MEDIA FACT-CHECKERS

Ilhan Omar Marriage Flummoxes Media Fact-Checkers

The ‘baseless smear’ that can’t be debunked

By Brent Scher – July 22m 2019

Media outlets scrambled to prove false the accusation that Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) married her brother after President Donald Trump mentioned it, but none have been able to definitively reach an answer, largely due to Omar’s unwillingness to provide information.

Trump was asked about the accusation that Omar’s husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, was also her brother during a scrum with reporters last Wednesday and said he had heard talk that she married her brother but knew “nothing about it.”

National media had largely kept away from judging the merits of the accusation that she was related to her second husband, which have circulated since her entry into politics in 2016, but after Trump’s comment many came to quick conclusions. CNN’s Jim Acosta jumped in immediately to criticize Trump for diving in on “disgusting lies.”  The Daily Beast‘s Will Sommer published a lengthy piece on Friday that did little to nothing to debunk what he calls a “baseless smear.”

Rashida Tlaib: ‘I’m Not Going Nowhere’ Until I Impeach Trump

DETROIT, MI - JULY 22: U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) speaks at the opening plenary session of the NAACP 110th National Convention at the COBO Center on July 22, 2019 in Detroit, Michigan. The convention is from July 20 to July 24 with the theme of, "When We Fight, We …

By Joshua Caplan

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) declared Monday that she is “not going nowhere, not until I impeach this president,” in a speech before the NAACP national convention in Detroit.

Tlaib’s pledge comes after the president has repeatedly challenged the Michigan lawmaker and fellow “Squad” members — Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) — to leave the United States over their frequent attacks on the country.

“We need bold action, folks. I know what’s happening out there… it’s beyond just the four of us,” Tlaib told the crowd. “The squad is all of you. I can tell you, you are all the squad, trust me. If you support equity, you support justice, you are one of us.”

Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress, infamously called for President Trump to be removed just hours after being sworn as a House member earlier this year, pledging to progressive activists, “we’re gonna go in there and we’re going to impeach the motherfucker.”

President Trump on Monday re-upped his criticism of Tlaib and the “Squad,” tweeting that the far-left clique is a “very Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart.”

“They are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left, and were against humanitarian aid at the Border…And are now against ICE and Homeland Security. So bad for our Country!” he added.

Screen Shot 2019-07-22 at 5.57.22 PM

Tlaib, of course, is no stranger to controversy.

The Michigan Democrat has repeatedly come under fire for uttering antisemitic statements since arriving in Washington last year, including falsely claiming Palestinians offered a “safe haven” for Jews fleeing the Holocaust, whitewashing Palestinian opposition to Jewish immigration and its leadership’s collaboration with Adolf Hitler.

Despite Tlaib and Omar both denying they are antisemitic, the pair of Muslim lawmakers co-introduced a measure last week that supports the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against the Jewish state.

Iran confiscates British tanker in Strait of Hormuz – IRGC

Screen Shot 2019-07-19 at 2.46.34 PM

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has seized the British oil tanker Stena Impero in the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media reported. UK authorities said the tanker had ‘veered off course’ before capture.

The Stena Impero was headed to Saudi Arabia but left the international sea lanes and headed north towards the Iranian island of Qeshm, marine tracking data showed on Friday.

Prior to the seizure, the tanker turned off its tracking device and had ignored warnings, Iranian military sources told state media.

“The reason behind the detention of the British tanker is that it did not adhere to the sea routes in the Strait of Hormuz, turned off the automatic identification system (AIS), polluted international waters and did not pay attention to the warnings of Iran,” the source said.

The 30,000-ton tanker is owned by Stena Bulk, and was bound for the Saudi port of Al Jubail.

Stena issued a statement that the ship was “approached by unidentified small crafts and a helicopter during transit of the Strait of Hormuz, while the vessel was in international waters.”

The company is “presently unable to contact the vessel which is now heading north towards Iran.” There are 23 crew members aboard.

UK authorities said they were “assessing the situation following reports of an incident in the Gulf.”

Another tanker, the Liberian-flagged Mesdar, abruptly changed course and headed for the Iranian mainland on Friday evening. The ship is owned by Norbulk Shipping UK and was bound for Ras Tanura in Saudi Arabia.

Tehran and London have been at odds since July 4, when Royal Marines boarded and seized Iranian tanker Grace 1 off Gibraltar, accusing the ship of illegally transporting oil to Syria. Iranian authorities condemned the seizure as “piracy” and vowed to retaliate.

Six days later, the Royal Navy said its frigate HMS Montrose intervened to prevent several Iranian boats from seizing the UK-flagged tanker British Heritage in the Persian Gulf.

Earlier this week, alarms were raised after the disappearance of the Emirati-based tanker MT Riah, flying the Panamanian flag. Iran said the tanker experienced technical troubles and had been towed to port for repairs.

On Thursday, a US warship entered the Persian Gulf and reportedly shot down an Iranian drone that had approached to within 1,000 meters in a “threatening” manner. Iran has denied losing any drones, however.

Washington has sought to establish a “coalition” of allied navies in the region to ensure “freedom of navigation” in the Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important shipping lanes in the world for oil traffic.

Shortly after entering the Persian Gulf, a US warship shot down an Iranian drone that had approached to within less than a kilometer, US President Donald Trump said at a White House press event.

Amphibious assault ship USS Boxer took “defensive action” against an Iranian drone that approached to within 1,000 yards (900 meters), and ignored multiple calls to stand down, Trump said on Thursday.

Screen Shot 2019-07-18 at 3.04.39 PM

The drone was “threatening the safety of the ship and the ship’s crew,” the president said, adding that the US “reserves the right to defend our personnel, facilities and interests.”

Screen Shot 2019-07-18 at 3.06.04 PM

The Boxer sailed into the Persian Gulf earlier in the day, following the reports that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps had seized the Panamanian-flagged oil tanker MT Riah and its 12-man crew.

The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and the accompanying task force – which have been rehearsing a possible strike against Iran for the past two months – are still in the Arabian Sea, conducting search and rescue operations for a missing sailor.

Trump also called on other countries to “condemn Iran’s attempts to disrupt freedom of navigation and global commerce” in the Strait of Hormuz, a vital international shipping lane for transport of oil from the Persian Gulf.

Washington has called for an international “coalition” to patrol the strait.

JOURNALIST TRAVELS TO ILHAN OMAR’S HOMELAND TO PROVE SOMALIA IS BEAUTIFUL, GETS KILLED BY TERRORISTS

Journalist Travels to Ilhan Omar's Homeland to Prove Somalia is Beautiful, Gets Killed by Terrorists

Tragedy of cultural relativism strikes again

JULY 18, 2019

A journalist traveled to Ilhan Omar’s homeland of Somalia to challenge stereotypes and prove the country was “beautiful,” only to end up being killed by terrorists.

Before President Trump’s tweetstorm in which he encouraged Omar to go back and fix her own country, Somali-Canadian journalist Hodan Nalayeh was trying to do precisely that.

Nalayeh returned to the country of her birth to tell “uplifting” stories about Somalia, according to the Washington Post.

The journalist became well known for her relentlessly positive tweets about Somalia. Just one week ago, she lauded the “beauty” of the place.

Screen Shot 2019-07-18 at 2.50.04 PM

One respondent praised her for “countering the doom narrative propagated by many about Somalia”.

Screen Shot 2019-07-18 at 2.51.12 PM

Another Somali writer praised her portraying an image of the country radically different from the stereotype of “victims trapped in a vicious circle of conflicts”.

During a video tour on her YouTube channel of the town of Kismayo, Nalayeh said she was hopeful the area could be rebuilt and revived, “Because this place is beautiful!”

On Friday last week, Nalayeh was killed in that very same town when al-Shabab militants stormed the Asasey Hotel in Kismayo.

Screen Shot 2019-07-18 at 2.52.45 PM

The total death toll claimed 26 lives and it took around 14 hours for Somali security forces to regain control of the hotel.

“While Nalayeh’s death would seem to underline the harshness of Trump’s remarks, it was also a visceral argument for what many understood to be his central point: that perhaps immigrants should be especially grateful to live in the United States,” reports the Pluralist.

Ilhan Omar to Visit Israel to Learn More About the ‘Occupation’

Freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who has a long history of making antisemitic remarks, revealed that she will soon visit Israel.

Omar told J-Insider Capitol Hill reporter Laura Kelly on Wednesday that she will visit the Jewish state and “Palestine” in a “few weeks” and learn more about the so-called “occupation.”

“Everything that I hear points to both sides feeling like there is still an occupation,” she said.

CAP

Since coming to Washington last year, Omar has received intense scrutiny for her antisemitic remarks, though Democrat leaders have refused to take action.

In 2012, Omar wrote on Twitter that Israel had “hypnotized the world” and said, “may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings” of the Jewish state. The progressive lawmaker tweeted in February that supports in Congress for Israel is “all about the Benjamins baby,” falsely suggesting that American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) bribes lawmakers to support the country. The antisemitic remark drew praisefrom infamous white supremacist David Duke.

Although Omar eventually apologized for inferencing Jews buy influence on Capitol Hill, weeks later she claimed pro-Israel congressmen  hold “allegiance to a foreign country.”

Top House Democrats condemned the statement, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY), yet Omar would not apologize this time for her anti-Jewish slur.

Appearing Wednesday on CBS This Morning, Omar said she had no regrets about her past antisemitic comments. When asked by interviewer Gayle King if she had regrets, the progressive lawmaker replied“I do not, but I am grateful for the opportunity to really learn how my words have made people feel and take every opportunity I have to make sure people understand that I apologize for it.”

Omar then claimed that she was “certainly not” antisemitic.
