(CHICAGO HAS YOU BEAT) – At Least 5 Shot, 3 Killed, Saturday in Gun-Controlled Baltimore

At least five people were shot, three fatally, Saturday in gun-controlled Baltimore, Maryland.

WJZ reports the first shooting, which proved fatal, occurred around shortly after 1 pm. Officers rushed to the scene and “found a man with gunshot wounds to his body.” He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Fox 5 News reports that two double shootings occurred minutes apart later in the day.

The first of the two occurred at 10:47 pm, leaving a 26-year-old male dead and a second individual injured. The second of double shootings occurred at 10:56 pm, fatally wounding a 19-year-old male. A 17-year-old was “shot in the back” during the shooting as well.

On July 25, 2019, Breitbart News reported eight persons were shot in one night of violence in Baltimore. One of the shooting victims died from his wounds.

In mid-June 2019 Breitbart News reported Balitmore’s shootings were on track to surpass last year’s numbers, which were up considerably over prior years. The Baltimore Sun’s Justin Fenton reported the shootings in Baltimore were up nearly 80 percent in 2018, compared to figures from 2014. And shootings in 2019 are at a pace to surpass 2018.

Baltimore, like the whole of Maryland, has a confiscatory Red Flag Law, an “assault weapons” ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, and registration/fingerprint requirements for handgun purchasers.

A Democrat State Rep From Chicago Wants Residents To Arm Themselves

Democrat State Representative La Shawn Ford wants people in his neighborhood in Chicago to acquire more concealed carry licenses.

In 2019, Ford ran for mayor. Ammoland notes that Ford “favors more tax money going to Chicago from the State of Illinois, and from the Federal government. He thinks there are plenty of police in Chicago, and they should have more controls on what they do.”

However, the state rep is having a change of heart on the gun issue. On WLS-AM 890, Ford told the Mancow Show that he is encouraging his constituents to arm themselves in the face of Chicago’s growing violence. Ford specifically said:

“I think about it all the time,” Ford said of the shootings that plague his community. “That’s why I’m working with a concealed carry instructor and we’re going to go through the neighborhood and we’re going to encourage people to get their concealed carry license because it makes no sense for people not to have the protections that they need.”

Urban centers may be witnessing a cultural shift on gun control. Information from gun researcher John Lott and activism from groups such as Black Guns Matter are changing the discussion on gun policy. Historically, blacks have been prevented from exercising their right to bear arms through laws such as the Black Codes and Jim Crow in the South.

Now, thanks to increased gun liberalization at the state level, blacks are now applying for and obtaining concealed carry permits in record numbers.

Illinois has played a special role in the battle to restore gun rights in America. After all, it was in McDonald v. City of Chicago, where the Second Amendment was incorporated at the state and local level. From there, all levels of government—federal, state, and local—had to respect this right. The plaintiff involved in this case was Otis McDonald, a black resident of Chicago.

This call by Ford represents a small, yet important step in changing the conversation in urban centers across America. For too long, gun control policies have rendered countless law-abiding minorities defenseless against crimes. It’s promising that a Democratic politician and former mayoral candidate recognizes the value of concealed carry.

Let’s hope this leads to a reform of Illinois’s gun laws.

ANTIFA Terrorist Who Attacked Detention Center Was Member of Militant Group Promoted by CNN

The terrorist also released a manifesto confirming his status as an ANTIFA member.

Willem Van Spronsen, 69, was killed after attacking a migrant detention facility in Tacoma, WA on Saturday morning. It has since been revealed that he was a member of the Puget Sound chapter of the John Brown Gun Club, a militant communist organization promoted by CNN.

Far Left Watch exposed that Van Spronsen was apart of the group today in a Twitter post.

The John Brown Gun Club was promoted by CNN as recently as April where a commentator claimed the organization was “white, liberal, progressive people, inclusive, friendly to the world.” A man appearing to be Van Spronsen can be seen four seconds into a promotional clip released by CNN for their segment.

Van Spronsen released a manifesto to his comrades before he attacked the detention center in which he confirmed his ANTIFA ties and urged others to follow in his deranged footsteps.

“There’s wrong and there’s right. It’s time to take action against the forces of evil,” Van Spronsen wrote. “Evil says one life is worth less than another. Evil says the flow of commerce is our purpose here. Evil says concentration camps for folks deemed lesser are necessary. The handmaid of evil says the concentration camps should be more humane. Beware the centrist.”

“This is a call to patriots… to stand against this travesty against everything that you hold sacred,” he added.

ANTIFA is rallying around their fallen comrade, posting from their social media accounts lionizing Van Spronsen as a martyr and a hero for the anti-fascist cause. While conservatives are regularly tossed off social media for merely expressing their political beliefs, ANTIFA is allowed to promote terror on those same platforms.

Andy Ngo, a journalist who was recently brutally attacked by an ANTIFA mob in Portland, OR, highlighted the Seattle chapter for sympathizing with Van Spronsen in a Twitter post.

Two months ago, a member of the John Brown Gun Club was arrested and charged with felony harassment after apparently being photographed stalking right-wing activist Spencer Sturdevant while brandishing a firearm.

Many conservatives have called for ANTIFA to be named a domestic terrorist group at the federal level by President Donald Trump. This may be the best opportunity for Trump to do so, as their terrorist violence sweeps the nation.

Hawkins: Democrats Mum as Bodies Stack up in Gun-Controlled Chicago

Democrats who lined up to push gun control after the shootings in Virginia Beach, Tree of Life Synagogue, and Parkland, remain conspicuously silent as 40-plus individuals are shot weekend after weekend in Chicago.

To be clear, the lost lives at Virginia Beach (12 killed), the Tree of Life Synagogue (11 killed), and Parkland (17 killed), are not to be downplayed in any way. Yet they also ought not be exploited. Nevertheless, Democrats line up for camera and microphone time after these attacks–or go on a Twitter binge–in hopes of using the events to push even more gun control.

These same Democrats remain almost unanimously mum as gun control fails to curb the mayhem and bloodshed in Chicago. Even thought he death numbers in Chicago are without equal.

Think about it–The Chicago Tribune reported 437 murders in Chicago in 2011, 506 in 2012, 420 in 2013, 416 in 2014, and 468 in 2015. Breitbart News reported 800 fatalities from shootings in 2016. And the devil is in the details, as there were nearly 4,400 shootings — fatal and non-fatal combined — in gun-controlled Chicago during 2016.

And consider the more recent past. At least 56 were shot, four fatally, in gun-controlled Chicago during the weekend of June 28–30, 2019. Breitbart News reported that at least 66 were shot, five killed, over Fourth of July Weekend 2019. And at least 41 were shot, nine fatally, over the weekend of July 12-14, 2019.

Gun control is inhumane. And ignoring the failures of gun control in Chicago, while trying to exploit other attacks around the country for the purposes of more gun laws, is beyond the pale.

COLORADO STATE UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR WANTS TO “PUNCH” POLITICAL ADVERSARIES “IN THE NECK”

**A Colorado State University professor says she is done “going high” and is now ready to “punch” her political adversaries “in the neck”.**

Professor OiYan Poon was responding to a tweet that stated, “when they go low, you fucking punch them in the neck”.

“I’m almost done reading Michelle Obama’s Becoming, and in reading the subtext, I don’t think she even believes the whole “when they go low, we go high” b.s.,” tweeted Poon.

“Also, this tweet is a mood! I’m done “going high”. #ImReady to “punch them in the neck,” she added.

The phrase “when they go low, we go high,” was used by Michelle Obama in 2016 to encourage taking the high road against low blow tactics and dirty tricks by Republicans.

“Poon teaches higher education leadership at Colorado State and also serves as director of the school’s Race and Intersectional Studies for Education Equity (RISE) Center,” reports Campus Reform.

Poon previously complained that “there was not enough racial diversity in gifs”. She also praised her friend, activist Tanzila Ahmed, who was banned from the Tinder dating app for saying she would not date white men in her bio.

Following Campus Reform’s story on her comments, Poon placed her Twitter account on lockdown.

Jimmy Carter Claims Donald Trump an Illegitimate President

Former President Jimmy Carter suggested Friday that President Trump’s victory in 2016 was illegitimate due to Russian interference in the election.

During a panel discussion on human rights issues at the Carter Center conference, the former president contended that a proper investigation into the extent of Russian meddling would, in fact, reveal President Trump did not win the White House.

“The president himself should condemn it,” Carter said when asked how the administration should deal with alleged election meddling. “Admit that it happened, which 16 intelligence agencies have already agreed to say.”

“There’s no doubt the Russians did interfere in the election and I think the interference, although not yet quantified, if fully investigated, will show that Trump didn’t actually win the election in 2016.”

“He lost the election and he was put into office because the Russians interfered on his behalf,” he added.

Carter was then asked if he believed President Trump illegitimately occupied the White House, he replied: “Based on what I said, which I can’t retract.”

Despite the two presidents’ policy differences, President Trump and Carter have shared a cordial relationship. Carter recently stated Trump was correct to not launch a military strike against Iran after a U.S. drone was shot down by the regime. The pair have previously discussed foreign policy issues such as North Korean denuclearization and trade with China.

Portland State U Students Demand Disarming Of Campus Police

Never mind how stupid this sounds. Never mind how much students today are afraid of mass shooters. Portland State U students have decided they want their campus police disarmed.

KGW8 TV reported,

Portland State University students rallied at a Thursday board meeting, calling for campus police officers to be disarmed.

“Police with guns are ticking time bomb,” said Olivia Pace, one of the students who spoke in front of the Portland State University Board of Trustees.

Students in favor of disarming campus police held signs and spoke at the board meeting. They said they believe it has taken far too long for university leadership to take action…

At Thursday’s board meeting, multiple students spoke directly to trustees, voicing their frustration with the lack of decision making on the issue.

“We feel like the longer the university pushes this off to more and more committees and more and more third parties, the issue will kind of just dissolve,” said Pace.

Earlier this year a report, commissioned by the university, found that more than half of students and faculty supported disarming campus officers. That same report also recommended keeping campus police armed.

Really? And what happens if a criminal with a gun comes onto the campus. Will the Campus police tell them to drop the weapon or they will tell the dean? Or their mommies?

Last year PSU officers shot and killed Jason Washington – who was a legal gun carrier that happened to drop his weapon as he was trying to break up a fight. The Campus Cops testified:

When Washington got up, the officers say he was holding the gun in his hand.

“I’m screaming, like, begging really – for this guy to drop his gun,” Dewey told the grand jury.

Both officers said they told Washington to drop the gun. Then they said he pointed it in their direction.

“In my mind, I’m like thinkin’ I’m gonna be shot right there, and I fire a couple rounds,” said McKenzie. “I see him fall to the ground. Uh, when I see that, I saw firing. I, my next thought process is if he’s wounded, he can shoot at us again at the last know location we were at.”

That testimony was confirmed by a Portland Police forensic technician who was called in to examine the body camera video of the shooting, slowing it down and enhancing the video to see whether Washington pointed his gun at police.

The technician, Portland Police Bureau officer Anthony Eugenio, showed the grand jury that Washington’s right arm was extended in front of his body with a black object in his hand, consistent with a firearm.

When asked if he believed that Washington pointed the gun towards the officers, he said that is “correct.”

A grand jury cleared the two Campus police and based on the testimony it seems that by using their service revolvers the two campus police saved lives (including their own)

Even so, the story of Jason Washington was a tragedy. But the students think the campus police officers are “dangerous” because they carry guns—and they are dangerous to students who point a gun at them.

How many of these students worry about a mass shooter, armed robber, a rapist with a gun, or any other kind of gun-wielding criminal gets onto the Campus? How many of them would be quickly shot dead if their campus police were unarmed? Who would stop a shooter? They are valid questions, ones that the “social justice warrior” crowd ignores.

‘CHILDREN CAN HANDLE THE KINK’ OF PRIDE PARADES, SAY SJW PARENTS

Social justice parents in Canada have claimed that the kink and fetish themes of LGBTQ Pride parades are appropriate for children.

The question of whether pride parades are kid-friendly has grown in relevance during Pride month, where “Drag Queen Story Hour” events have exploded across the country and footage of a half-naked child “twerking” in front of grown men at a Pride parade has gone viral.

“I can’t imagine a safer place for families to bring children,” sex therapist Pega Ren told HuffPost Canada.

University of Toronto’s “sexual diversity” professor David Rayside acknowledge that Pride parades certainly have sexualizing elements to them, but insisted that none of the “thousands” of kids he’s seen at Pride parades complained about the sexually-charged atmosphere.

“Pride has always had a kind of outrageous edge to it,” Rayside said. “And should we alter that? It is not the Santa Claus parade, and it never was. It shouldn’t be. It can’t be.”

“I’ve seen thousands of kids at Pride, and I’ve never seen anyone fuss about what they see there,” he added.

Writer S. Bear Bergman said that kids love the “bubbles” and “rainbow streamers,” as well as “enjoyable performances,” whatever that means.

“There is absolutely no reason not to take our kids to Pride — it’s a fun day, there are a lot of bubbles, rainbow streamers and enjoyable performances,” Bergman said.

“It’s their right as queer spawn. And as a parent, I might want to take my kids to Pride, because they might be lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer or two-spirit.”

Bergman went on to defend the lewd elements of the Pride parade, saying he’s more worried about children being exposed to “compulsory heterosexuality” than a gay man shaking his bare behind in front of them.

“First of all, nobody likes nakedness more than children,” Bergman said.

“On the list of things that I don’t want my children ever to be exposed to are: Compulsory heterosexuality, demonstrations of sexism, demonstrations of racism, demonstrations of ablism, violence. These are all way higher on the list than some homosexual’s tuchus.”

However, some on social media expressed outrage over the overt sexualization and far-left brainwashing brought by Pride events.

IL Sen. Taunts Gun Owner: Forget the Fine, Maybe We’ll Just Take Your Firearms

Illinois State Sen. Julie Morrison (D) taunted a concerned gun owner during a town hall by telling him she might forgo fining him and simply confiscate his firearms.

The exchange was caught on video by the Illinois State Rifle Association and was tied to proposed fines for keeping commonly owned semiautomatic firearms in one’s home.

The concerned gun owner pointed to SB107 and said the purpose of it was “to take away [his] semiautomatic firearms.”

Morrison then interjected that the purpose was not to take them, but to prevent any future sales.

The gun owner responded by pointing out that the ban on future sales included a fine for current owners who did not hand their guns over. He said, “You want me to turn them over to the state police unless I pay a fine for each firearm and register them, then I get to keep them.”

Morrison concurred, saying, “Okay.”

The gun owner then asked, “If I get to keep it–if I pay a fine and register it–then, how dangerous is it in the first place and why do you need to ban it all?”

People in attendance applauded the gun owner’s point and once applause died Morrison said, “Well, you just maybe changed my mind. Maybe we won’t have a fine at all, maybe it’ll just be a confiscation and we won’t have to worry about paying the fine.”

NRATV’s Cam Edwards commented on the exchange that drew Sen. Morrison into the light, where she openly talked confiscation. He described it as part of a larger “push-back” characterized by Second Amendment Sanctuary declarations in southern counties in Illinois.

Edwards said, “It’s been interesting to see this push-back in Illinois. Obviously, over the last few years we’ve seen a lot of counties outside of the Chicago-land area have been very vocal in pushing back. But I’ve got to tell you, I’ve been really impressed by the number of gun owners in northern Illinois…who have been speaking out.”
