It Never Stops: Leftist Appeals Court Blocks President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” Policy Saying it Goes Beyond Boundaries of Law

A federal court ruled Friday that President Trump’s “remain in Mexico” policy goes against federal law.

Less than a year ago another federal appeals court ruled the “remain in Mexico” policy could proceed.

The open borders left will never stop in their attempts to destroy this nation.

The Washington Times reported:

A federal appeals court Friday blocked President Trump’s “remain in Mexico” policy, ruling it went beyond the boundaries of federal law — and eliminating the most important tool Homeland Security used to stem last year’s border surge.

Officially known as the Migrant Protection Protocol, the policy was used to push migrants who showed up at the U.S.-Mexico border back across the boundary, where they were told to wait for their immigration court dates in the U.S.

But the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said federal law doesn’t allow for such a blanket return policy, and upheld a preliminary injunction.

“The court forcefully rejected the Trump administration’s assertion that it could strand asylum seekers in Mexico and subject them to grave danger,” said Judy Rabinovitz, a lawyer with the American Civil Liberties Union who argued the case against the government. “It’s time for the administration to follow the law and stop putting asylum seekers in harm’s way.”

Netflix May Consider Boycotting Filming In Georgia; Conservatives May Consider Boycotting Netflix

In response to Georgia’s new law prohibiting aborting babies with a detectable heartbeat, Netflix said that the company may “rethink” filming in Georgia if the law goes into effect. In response, some conservatives are saying they will consider boycotting Netflix if they follow through on the Georgia boycott.

In a statement to Variety, Netflix’s chief content creator Ted Sarandos said the company will work with the ACLU to fight the Georgia law in court.

“We have many women working on productions in Georgia, whose rights, along with millions of others, will be severely restricted by this law,” Sarandos said. “It’s why we will work with the ACLU and others to fight it in court.”

He also said Netflix will continue to film in Georgia due to the law not being yet implemented but will still work with partners and artists who choose to boycott the state.

“Should it ever come into effect, we’d rethink our entire investment in Georgia,” Sarandos added.

In response, conservatives are threatening to cancel their subscriptions to Netflix.

Fox News contributor Guy Benson parodied a headline about Netflix’s statement to say that he may boycott the company.

“Benson would rethink Netflix subscription if abortion advocacy stands,” Benson tweeted.

Kira Davis, the Editor-At-Large of RedState, said she is also considering ending her Netflix subscription.

“I enjoy @netflix but there’s literally nothing on there I can’t live without. I’m totally happy to ‘rethink’ my investment as well. It’s a two way street, friends!”

Fox News Contributor Lisa Booth also chimed in.

“Works both ways, @netflix. Will gladly cancel my account,” Booth tweeted.

The Daily Wire’s Elisha Krauss said she would use alternative streaming services.

“Fine, I’ll pay for the @Disney app and cancel @Netflix,” Krauss tweeted. “My kids don’t need their programming and I can do without Ozark.”

Fox News contributor and Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen warned the streaming service against alienating pro-life customers.

“Hey .@netflix nearly half the country is pro-life,” Thiessen tweeted. “Don’t alienate your pro-life customers. We have lots of streaming options these days.”

Several well-known producers and actors said they will avoid filming in Georgia due to the law, including actress Kristen Wiig who canceled her plans to film her upcoming comedy “Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar” in the state.

In a tweet, producer Mark Duplass announced he would no longer film in Georgia and encouraged others to do the same.

“Don’t give your business to Georgia,” Duplass tweeted. “Will you pledge with me not to film anything in Georgia until they reverse this backwards legislation?”

Producers J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele decided to still film their show “Lovecraft Country” in the state but plan to donate their fees to the ACLU of Georgia and Fair Fight Georgia, reported Bloomberg.

Georgia is a favorable state for filming due to its generous film and TV subsidies, which have led to the popular show “The Walking Dead” and the hit movie “Black Panther” being filmed there.

Earlier this month Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp signed the “heartbeat bill” into law which bans abortions if a fetal heartbeat can be detected.

“(The bill) is very simple but also very powerful: a declaration that all life has value, that all life matters, and that all life is worthy of protection,” Kemp said at the time. “I realize that some may challenge it in a court of law. But our job is to do what is right, not what is easy. We are called to be strong and courageous, and we will not back down. We will always continue to fight for life.”

United Constitutional Patriots trigger Democrats by handing illegal immigrants to Border Patrol

 | Infowars.com – APRIL 19, 2019

Just days after Border Patrol apprehended 1,800 illegal immigrants in one day, the government of New Mexico and the ACLU are criticizing a citizen group patrolling the border.

“It should go without saying that regular citizens have no authority to arrest or detain anyone,” New Mexico’s Democrat Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham told the New York Times.

She also said it’s “completely unacceptable” that migrant families “might be menaced or threatened in any way, shape or form when they arrive at our border.”

Meanwhile, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of New Mexico sent a letter to Governor Grisham and Attorney General Hector Balderas on Thursday asking for the group of patriots voluntarily patrolling the border to be investigated.

Below is an excerpt of the letter in which they call the group, United Constitutional Patriots (UCP), “white nationalists” and “fascists.”

“Two nights ago, on April 16, 2019, an armed fascist militia organization describing itself as the United Constitutional Patriots arrested nearly three hundred people seeking safety in the United States, including young children, near Sunland Park, New Mexico. Other videos appear to show arrests in the past few hours.[1] The vigilante members of the organization, including Jim Benvie, who posted videos and photographs[2] of the unlawful arrests to social media, are not police or law enforcement and they have no authority under New Mexico or federal law to detain or arrest migrants in the United States. Their actions undermine the legitimate efforts of our state’s law enforcement officials to keep New Mexico families safe and they erode community trust. The Trump administration’s vile racism has emboldened white nationalists and fascists to flagrantly violate the law. This has no place in our state: we cannot allow racist and armed vigilantes to kidnap and detain people seeking asylum. We urge you to immediately investigate this atrocious and unlawful conduct.”

New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas bashed the group in a statement, saying, “These individuals should not attempt to exercise authority reserved for law enforcement.”

A spokesperson for the civilian group, Jim Benvie, said the detention of illegals amounts to “a verbal citizen’s arrest,” which is basically a bluff used to stop border crossers until Border Patrol arrives.

“We’re just here to support the Border Patrol and show the public the reality of the border,” Benvie insisted, adding, “Border Patrol has never asked us to stand down.”

Infowars has covered UCP multiple times this week after they caught a group of over 300 illegals Tuesday night and another group of more than 90 on Wednesday.

Patriot border patroller Conservative Anthony will join The War Room Friday at 4:30 P.M. CST for an exclusive interview where he’ll discuss the latest footage he’s captured, including over 70 buses arriving at the border and a “lookout” drone used by smugglers.

At the 26:45 timestamp in the following video, a drone can be seen monitoring the border to ensure the illegals safe entry into the U.S. as they try to avoid Border Patrol or citizen patrols.

“Lookout” drones are frequently used to assist smugglers who sneak illegal immigrants into the country.

At the 26:30 timestamp, the next video shows what is reported to be a caravan of over 70 buses arriving into Anapra, Mexico in the middle of the night.

While the government of New Mexico has its scope set on United Constitutional Patriots, the group vows to patrol the border until President Trump’s wall is built.

ACLU Issues Florida Travel Advisory for ‘Immigrants and People of Color’

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has issued a travel advisory for Florida, claiming that “immigrants and people of color” are at risk of having their constitutional rights violated by anti-sanctuary city legislation under consideration.

“BREAKING: We and partners have issued a travel advisory urging immigrants and people of color to use extreme caution when traveling in Florida. The state is on the verge of passing a draconian anti-immigrant bill which will endanger our communities,” the ACLU wrote in a social media post on Monday.

Screen Shot 2019-04-09 at 11.37.08 AM

The legislation —  Flordia House Bill 527 and Senate Bill 168 — would bar municipal and state government agencies from upholding sanctuary policies. The bills would also mandate agencies to work with federal immigration authorities.

The ACLU of Florida said in a press release the bills would cause “irreparable human cost” and “expose counties and other government entities to potential legal and financial liabilities by forcing local authorities to comply with ICE’s flawed detainer system.”

“It’s shameful that the state of Florida seeks to further harass immigrant communities and erode public safety,” said Florida Immigration Coalition political director Thomas Kennedy. “Taking precious local resources away from law enforcement to further target Floridian families for deportation comes at an extremely high financial and moral cost. The insidious attacks against immigrants on the national level are being amplified by Florida lawmakers pushing for anti-immigrant policies.”

In an interview with Newsweek, State Sen. Joe Gruters, the Senate bill’s sponsor, criticized the travel advisory, accusing the ACLU of  “fearmongering and upping the rhetoric even more”

“This deals with criminal illegal aliens. Unless you’re breaking the law, you have no worries about this bill. This only deals with illegal aliens who are here, who are being processed by the judicial system,” said Gruters. “It’s about protecting the rule of law.”

The ACLU issued a travel advisory for the state of Texas in 2017, citing legislation mandating law enforcement agencies to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

The ACLU Lobbies the United Nations to Assist Migrant Invasion at US Southern Border

By

CAP

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) claims to defend the rights of Americans, but the liberal organization tends to spend most of their resources on promoting migrants and abortions. They are even lobbying the United Nations (UN) to override the sovereignty of the United States to force them to accept more “refugees.”

Jamil Dakwar, the foreigner who serves as the director of the ACLU’s Human Rights Program (HRP), issued a statement to the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva. He is complaining that the Trump administration is ignoring the UN’s requests to meddle at the border.

“The Trump administration has escalated its hostility toward human rights bodies including the apparent severing of relationships with independent experts appointed to monitor and report on human rights violations,” Dakwar wrote in his statement.

Under Trump’s ‘America First’ policy, the UN has been frozen out of the oversight process. The Trump administration considers this a defense of US sovereignty, as the UN’s stated goal is to relocate third-world refugees into Western nations whenever possible regardless of the consequences for the host population.

“The United States remains engaged in the work of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights,” the State Department said in a statement released to The Guardian, “and strongly supports those special procedures and mandates that have proven effective in illuminating the most grave human rights environments, including in Iran and DPRK [North Korea].”

Felipe González Morales, the UN monitor on the human rights of migrants, is another globalist foreigner who is bemoaning President Trump’s ‘America First’ immigration policies.

“Passing the responsibility for the protection of these migrants to the Mexican authorities without proper guarantees as to their protection from return defies both the spirit and letter of international obligations,” he wrote.

While these globalists whine, Trump faces a serious crisis on the US southern border. More migrants are coming across the border than they have in over a decade, and it is causing disease and crime to arrive into the nation.

Even the smear artists at the New York Times was forced to cover the news backing up Trump’s rhetoric about a national emergency:

“More than 76,000 migrants crossed the border without authorization in February, an 11-year high and a strong sign that stepped-up prosecutions, new controls on asylum and harsher detention policies have not reversed what remains a powerful lure for thousands of families fleeing violence and poverty.

“The system is well beyond capacity, and remains at the breaking point,” Kevin K. McAleenan, commissioner of Customs and Border Protection, told reporters in announcing the new data on Tuesday.

The nation’s top border enforcement officer painted a picture of processing centers filled to capacity, border agents struggling to meet medical needs and thousands of exhausted members of migrant families crammed into a detention system that was not built to house them — all while newcomers continue to arrive, sometimes by the busload, at the rate of 2,200 a day.

“This is clearly both a border security and a humanitarian crisis,” Mr. McAleenan said.

The ACLU, the UN, the Democratic Party, and other entities benefiting from the refugee resettlement industry are happy to facilitate this crisis for their own ends. Trump would be wise to continue ignoring them if he intends to fulfill his mandate and secure the border.

Migrants Report Cash Transactions Between Mexican Officials to Allow Them Access to US Border

Screen Shot 2018-11-29 at 11.39.41 AM

By Randy DeSoto

A number of migrants are alleging that Mexican officials at the U.S. border are charging substantial sums of money to gain access to make asylum claims in the U.S.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Mexicans are overseeing a list, which they are using to decide who is allowed to cross two bridges over the Rio Grande into Brownsville, Texas from Matamoras, Mexico.

Cuban asylum seeker Elvis Gonzalez Rodriguez, 23, said that when he arrived at one of the bridges over the Rio Grande last week, a uniformed Mexican immigration official demanded he pay $1,000 to cross. When Rodriguez refused, the official made him leave.

“There’s a lot of corruption here,” Rodriguez, an electrician from Havana said. “It’s the responsibility of Mexican officials to protect immigrants. I want to come the correct, legal way.”

He wants U.S. officials to help asylum seekers and investigate what’s happening on the bridges.

“They need to help us,” he said. “They need to know about the corruption, how it’s a business to pass here.”

The Times reported that another Cuban asylum seeker said a uniformed Mexican immigration official “demanded $500 to get her across the old bridge after she arrived at Matamoros airport in mid-October.”

She told the paper that other Cubans seeking asylum called her cellphone after crossing the bridge into the U.S. saying the Mexican officials made them pay between $100 and $300 to move to the front of the line.

“They are. I know that’s a fact,” said Michael Seifert, an ACLU border advocacy strategist in Brownsville. “It’s only gotten worse. It’s gotten more expensive. The Cubans are targeted because they have money.”

Seifert said that African immigrants are forced to wait weeks because “they don’t speak enough Spanish to understand the bribe.”

Asylum seekers from Cameroon reported being falsely told by Mexican officials in Matamoros that the U.S. was not accepting more Africans.

Michael Randy, 30, who is from Cameroon, said he was able to speak with U.S. customs officers at the bridge, who assured him the claim was false.

Screen Shot 2018-11-29 at 11.44.41 AM

Randy told The Times he fled Cameroon after police shot his younger brother and raped his wife in front of him and burned down the home they shared with their 2- and 3-year-old daughters. He recounted that he was imprisoned and tortured for 77 days.

“It’s not fair,” Randy said of how Mexico is handling the border crossings. “I could stay for a month — there’s no certain time.”

Christina Patiño Houle of the nonprofit Rio Grande Valley Equal Voice Network said the situation needs to be addressed.

“These are incredibly dangerous areas where these individuals are waiting for days and weeks to enter the bridge. We sometimes have pregnant women, women with toddlers, who are sent back into territories that are managed openly by cartels,” she said.

The Times reached out to Customs and Border Protection regarding claims of Mexican officials charging asylum seekers to cross bridges into the U.S. and was told the matter should be taken up with Mexico.

“Mexico is a sovereign nation, and our authorities do not cross international boundaries,” the agency said in a statement. “Actions of Mexican officials, or people in Mexico, should be addressed to the government of Mexico including any actions taken on the Mexican side of bridges and in the border cities of Mexico.”

The CBP said that asylum seekers are “processed on a first-come, first-serve basis.”

CBP told the Times it “does take into consideration persons with medical emergencies, unaccompanied alien children, the disabled, and gives priority as we can, bearing in mind the day-to-day availability of resources, case complexity, holding space, port volume and enforcement actions.”
