Fox host Shepard Smith abruptly cut off a French government official describing the burning of the Notre Dame cathedral after he suggested that the blaze may not have been accidental.

“I would tell you something, even if nobody died, it’s like a 9/11, the French 9/11,” French official Philippe Karsenty said of the historic cathedral’s burning on Monday.

“And it’s a big shock. I mean, this church was there for more than 850 years, even the Nazis didn’t dare to destroy it.”

Karsenty then explained the routine Islamic attacks against churches throughout France, and alluded that the media is spreading the “politically correct” narrative that the cathedral’s burning is accidental before being suddenly cut off by Smith.

“And you need to know that for the past year we’ve had churches desecrated each and every week in France. All over France. Of course you will hear the stories about the political correctness which will tell you that it’s probably an accident — ”

“Sir? Sir. Sir. We’re not going to speculate here of the cause of something which we don’t know,” Smith said.

“I’m just telling you something, we need to be ready — ” Karsenty began.

“No sir. We’re not doing that here. Not now, not on my watch,” Smith snapped.

Coincidentally, Fox host Neil Cavuto reportedly also abruptly cut off the Catholic League president Bill Donahue for insinuating the fire was intentionally caused.

The notion that the Notre Dame blaze could have been started by arsonists was first reported by local cathedral workers.

“A Jesuit friend in Paris who works in #NotreDame told me cathedral staff said the fire was intentionally set,” reported Time columnist Christopher J. Hale.

It’s not outside the realm of possibility to deduce arson as the cause of the fire.

As we reported, anti-Christian attacks in France have been on the rise following the European Union’s decision to flood the continent with millions of migrants in 2015.

On Friday Islamic terrorists Inez Madani was jailed for eight years for her attempted car bombing outside of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Madani was wounded with a knife in the belly of a police officer during the arrest in 2016.

On Friday she was jailed for eight years in the attempted attack.

ONE OF THREE women allegedly involved in a foiled plot in 2016 to blow up a car packed with gas canisters near the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris was today sentenced to eight years in prison by a French court for earlier offences.

Ines Madani, 22, was sentenced following a three-day trial during which she was accused of encouraging would-be jihadists to go to Syria and participate in attacks against France between March 2015 and June 2016.

She used Telegram – an encrypted messaging app widely used by jihadists to communicate.

Judge Isabelle Prevost-Desprez said that Madani was “recruited” by Oumar Diaw, also known as Abou Barrou, an influential jihadist of the Islamic State group.

She used different pseudonyms on social networks, pretending for example to be Abu Souleymane, a jihadist returned from Raqa to carry out attacks in France.

“You had some autonomy in the management of your personality…. Your determination marks your dangerousness,” Prevost-Desprez said.

France: Attacks Against Jews & Christians Continue to Rise

Attacks against Muslims at a 9 year low

The number of anti-religious attacks against Jews and Christians in France continues to rise, while attacks against Muslims are at their lowest for 9 years.

According to a group that studies hate crime attacks against Christians, February was the worst month for attacks on Christian churches since they began collecting data.

Other public Christian symbols have also been targeted, including summit crosses on mountaintops and public statues of Jesus and the Virgin Mary, which have been decapitated or destroyed.

A deliberate attack on the Saint-Sulpice church in Paris which caused nearly a million euros in damage was reported by the mainstream media as a ‘brief fire’ in which no one was hurt.

The number of anti-Semitic attacks (541) rose 74 per cent from 2017-2018 while anti-Muslim attacks numbered just 100, the lowest since 2010.

Meanwhile in the same period, there were 1063 anti-Christian attacks, a slight increase on the previous year.

According to Ellen Fantini, anti-Christian attacks are being minimized despite representing the largest share of hate crimes.

According to reports, the number of Jews fleeing France for their safety has dramatically increased since 2000.

In one Paris suburb alone – Seine-Saint-Denis – 40 per cent of the population is Muslim while 400,000 illegal immigrants also live there.

CBS coverage showing the inside of the Texas Tech locker room was cut short as players began taking a knee in prayer.

The incident happened over the weekend after the team won the Final Four tournament, and was immediately noted by many on Twitter.

CBS cameras were rolling as team members celebrated the victory, but the feed quickly went to a different camera when Coach Chris Beard entered the locker room and players began kneeling.

Several people accused CBS of hypocrisy for highlighting kneeling NFL players, but refusing to show the Texas Tech players in prayer.

“CBS has yet to offer an explanation as to why they chose to cut away during Texas Tech’s team prayer,” notes Breitbart, adding that ESPN similarly cut away from an interview in 2015 when a college football coach began a speech by thanking “the good Lord.”

German headmaster suggested Christian girl wear a hijab to stop bullies

A school in Frankfurt has come under fire after its headmaster told a young girl she should wear a hijab if she doesn’t want to get bullied.

The student’s mother told the Bild newspaper that her daughter was “beaten and verbally attacked on the way to school” by a group of Muslim girls.

She explained that her daughter was targeted because “she has blond hair, no headscarf, has a German-Hebrew name – and we are Christians”.

The bullying was so bad it left the fifth grader with a “massive fear of going to school”.
When she took her concerns to the schools headmaster, she was told her daughter should ‘cover up’ if she doesn’t want to get bullied.

“Your daughter does not have to say that she is German”, the headmaster reportedly told her. “Besides, you can give her a headscarf.”

The school in question didn’t respond to Bild’s request for comment, however, the mother confirmed that their situation is a lot better now she has removed her daughter from the school.

There have been other recent cases of religious bullying in other schools across Germany.

The Bild also cited one in Bavaria in which a father said his son and daughter came home one day panicked because another child had told them he would cut off their heads because they are Christians.

In Bonn, another mother said her daughter had shared a similar experience saying, “Our daughter and several classmates of the third grade were put under pressure by a classmate. They were threatened with the words, ‘Your parents will burn in hell if they do not believe in Allah’.”

Religious bullying has been especially prevalent in Berlin where many schools have high populations of migrant-background students.

In 2018, a group of Berlin teachers spoke out about religious bullying saying that German students could be bullied for as little as bringing a ham sandwich for their lunch because pork is forbidden in Islam.

The group advocated the Pro Berlin Neutrality Act which backs up existing legislation to ban religious symbols, such as the headscarf, from classrooms to combat religious bullying.

Austria, meanwhile, has implemented a headscarf ban in kindergartens and has been considering similar bans in elementary schools as well.

Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez said that Republican supporters of President Donald Trump are “cowards” for backing up President Trump’s America First agenda, which aims to fight back against the corruption of the Washington establishment.

Speaking at a function for left wing group Demand Action, the DNC’s chairman complained that Christianity was hurting Democrats because people who go to church tend to be instilled with Republican values.

“And I had someone in northwest Wisconsin tell me: ‘You know what? For most of the people I know, their principle sources of information are Fox News, the NRA newsletter and the pulpit on Sunday.’ And it should come as a surprise to no-one that our message doesn’t penetrate,” Tom Perez said.

How dare those conservative Republicans believe in God! It’s bad for leftist messaging, after all.

“It should come as a surprise to no-one that that person has elevated the issue of courts to the top because that person on the pulpit is saying ‘ignore everything else that this person has done and is doing, we have to focus on one issue of Roe vs. Wade.’ And people buy it. Because that’s their only source,” he continued.

Perez obviously has not stepped into a church in a while. As noted by the few outspokenly pro-life pastors, getting most Christian pastors to discuss, much less denounce abortion is a difficult task. They fear alienating their major donors, board members and their church membership by being too politically controversial, regardless of the Bible’s teachings. In fact, it is one of the toughest issues plaguing Evangelical Christianity today.

“If you haven’t noticed, there’s a blood-filled gap between what the church believes and what the church does,” said a recent Relearn Church article. “Unfortunately, this inconsistency isn’t exclusive to abortion. Because of the church’s lethargy in effecting culture, it has lost much of its moral high ground in just about every politically charged topic of our time.”

Perez’s speech highlights how out of touch Democrats truly are with ordinary Americans. His idea of Christianity is exactly what one would expect of a non-Christian – that everyone who goes to church is brainwashed by conservative talking points. In reality, the Christianity has sadly become much more progressive in America.

Perhaps the reason the Democrats “message doesn’t penetrate” is not because of the church, but because they are out touch with ordinary Americans.

UK Denies Asylum To Christian Convert From Iran Because “Christianity Is Not Peaceful”

The UK has denied asylum to an Iranian man because he said on his application that he converted from Islam to the “peaceful” religion of Christianity, according to The Independent.

The Home Office quoted excerpts from the bible in the man’s rejection letter – saying the book of Revelations is “filled with imagery of revenge, destruction, death and violence,” and concluded that “These examples are inconsistent with your claim that you converted to Christianity after discovering it is a ‘peaceful’ religion, as opposed to Islam which contains violence, rage and revenge.”

When contacted by The Independent, the Home Office essentially said “our bad” – claiming that the letter was “not in accordance” with proper policies for claims based on religious persecution, and that it was working to improve employee training.

Lawyers and campaigners said the case demonstrated a “distortion of logic” and a “reckless” approach to asylum seekers’ lives, stemming from a tendency by the department to “come up with any reason they can to refuse” cases. –The Independent

The asylum seeker’s caseworker, Nathan Stevens, tweeted “I’ve seen a lot over the years, but even I was genuinely shocked to read this unbelievably offensive diatribe being used to justify a refusal of asylum.”

According to the latest immigration statistics, there has been a marked increase in incorrect asylum refusals – with successful appeals up 5% since 2015-2016.

“You can see from the text of the letter that the writer is trying to pick holes in the asylum seeker’s account of their conversion to Christianity and using the Bible verses as a tool to do that,” said legal expert Conor James McKinney – deputy editor of the website Free Movement. McKinney said the case was a symptom of the Home Office’s reputation to “come up with any reason they can to refuse asylum.”

“The Home Office is notorious for coming up with any reason they can to refuse asylum and this looks like a particularly creative example, but not necessarily a systemic outbreak of anti-Christian sentiment in the department.” -Conor James McKinney

The case is a “particularly outrageous example of the reckless and facetious approach of the Home Office to determining life and death asylum cases,” said Sarah Teather, director of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) in the UK. Teather added that JRS frequently encounters cases where asylum has been refused on “spurious grounds,” adding “Some of these cases require more legal knowledge to recognise than this bizarre misquoting of the Bible, but as this instance gains public attention, we need to remember it reflects a systematic problem and a deeper mindset of disbelief, and is not just an anomaly that can be explained away.”

Media Matters president and far-left activist Angelo Carusone is under fire after The Daily Caller unearthed hateful and inflammatory comments he made in the past about everything from transvestites to ethnicity.

Carusone has been leading a campaign against Fox News host Tucker Carlson for things he said on a radio program several years ago. Sensing hypocrisy, Daily Caller reporter Peter Hasson uncovered an old blog in which Carusone allegedly used hateful rhetoric against a series of groups.

“Carusone’s now-defunct blog included degrading references to ‘trannies,’ ‘jewry’ and Bangladeshis,” Hasson wrote. “Carusone posted a lengthy diatribe in November 2005 about a Bangladeshi man who was robbed by ‘a gang of transvestites,’ as Carusone described it. Carusone was offended that the gang was described as ‘attractive’ in an article.”

The Daily Caller – which was co-founded by Carlson – posted screen images of Carusone’s alleged old blog. The report also indicated the Media Matters honcho also “downplayed a male basketball coach’s alleged sexual and physical abuse of his female players” and used an ethnic slur.

The Daily Caller report also indicated that Carusone allegedly made anti-Semitic comments about his then-boyfriend and once praised then-West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd, a Democrat and former high-ranking member of the Ku Klux Klan, as one of his favorite public figures, writing: “In his lunacy, we trust.”

“In another post, Carusone claimed that his boyfriend only leaned conservative ‘as a result of his possession of several bags of Jewish gold,’” Hasson wrote. “Carusone previously dismissed concerns about his past anti-Semitic comments on the grounds that his longtime partner is Jewish.”

Media Matters did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Media Matters is known as a tax-exempt lobbying organization which has aimed to silence many conservative media voices. Carusone has led numerous boycott attempts but famously opted against taking action after hateful rhetoric from MSNBC host Joy Reid’s pre-fame blog was unearthed.

In addition to Carusone’s old comments making headlines, Carlson also has hit Media Matters over its non-profit status.

“In its original tax application to the IRS, Media Matters claimed that the American news media were dominated by a pro-Christian bias and that they were needed to balance it. Despite the obvious absurdity of this claim, the group received non-profit status. It has been violating the terms of that status ever since,” Carlson said on Tuesday night.
