The Pakistani origin male, who had arrived in France only two months ago, will stand trial in Bobigny next month, accused of causing serious damage to the main organ of the basilica as well as smashing stained glass windows in an apparent attack that took place in March, Le Parisien reports.
While in court for his initial hearing, the Pakistani, who does not speak any French, said through a translator: “I do not know how I am concerned with this case.”
When asked if he would like time to prepare his defence, he told the court he did not understand the French justice system.

According to the court, the man had already been accused of vandalism of property in February and that his DNA had been found in the basilica by investigators which led to his arrest.
The migrant claimed ignorance of the judicial process which forced the judge to question whether or not he was purposely trying to not understand what was occurring. As a result, the judge delayed the trial until May 10th and ordered a psychiatric evaluation of the Pakistani national.
When the incident occurred in March, the damage to the organ was said to be extensiveby Saadia Tamelikecht, head of the departmental unit of architecture and heritage of the heavily migrant-populated Seine-Saint-Denis suburbs.

The vandalism also came just over a year after the basilica was stormed by pro-migrant activists alongside illegal migrants to protest the French government’s reforms to asylum laws, with police having to forcibly remove them after around an hour of occupation.
Vandalism of churches across France has become a major issue, with nine churches across the country vandalised in just 11 days in February. Some of the damage had included thefts, while others featured grotesque acts such as the smearing of faeces on the walls of a church in Nîmes.

“This morning, I found out that Bank of America shut down all of our bank accounts froze our accounts without notice and we can’t even get our money out,” Anderson said on YouTube. “We can’t even walk into the bank and withdraw our money they just froze everything, shut everything down.”
“They’re supposedly going to send us a cashier’s check in like two weeks for all the money that was in our church bank account but in the meantime they just took all our money away,” Anderson said.
Anderson has attracted controversy over the years due to his fundamentalist preachings on homosexuality.
Earlier this year, Proud Boys chairman Enrique Tarrio had his bank account closed by Chase Bank:

Conservative commentator Martina Markota also had her business account closed by Chase Bank:

Bloom first points out the fact that under Sharia Law, the practice of profiting off of lending money (collecting interest) is a sinful activity.
“Let’s start with a basic outline of Islamic finance. Islamic finance is not too different from most moralistic approaches to finance. It views money as a neutral mediator of transactions. For that reason, it views the ability to acquire more money by simply lending money (riba, in Islamic parlance) as a barren and hence sinful activity – it is proclaimed haram (prohibited) under Sharia law.”
This is true, and as Bloom also points out, most religions throughout history have similar views on profiting off of loaned money, including the Catholic Church.
But the thing that separates Islam from other religions is the influence their religion has on public policy. This is due to the fact that Islam is not just a religion, with there being no separation between the religious and the political in the Muslim world.
For this reason, Bloom points out that under Sharia Law, the practice of “equity ownership” is encouraged, resulting in less debt buildup.
But in Bloom’s entire article, he never once mentions the oppressive aspects of Sharia Law.
He doesn’t point out the fact that women are oppressed under Sharia Law, with their testimony being equal to only half that of a man.
(But to be fair, the Daily Caller is known for their mistreatment of women.)
Bloom also doesn’t point out the fact that homosexuality is punishable by death in countries that practice Sharia Law.
BLP reached out to Jacob Engels, a gay conservative activist, who was disgusted by the article.
“The fact that The Daily Caller, which used to be a beacon of hope for conservatives and alternative media is willing to publish trash like this is curious,” Engels told BLP. “One must question if there was financial compensation, or if they just wanted to be edgy. But as a gay American it is abhorrent. What’s next, are they going to write a guide on stoning women, or throwing gays off of buildings?”
BLP reached out to Bloom to ask if The Caller was paid by any outside interest to write the article, and he replied:

His 2018 return reveals that he and his wife, Jane, earned more than $550,000, including $133,000 in income from his Senate salary and $391,000 in sales of his book, “Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In.”
The filings show that Sanders, who throughout his career has called for an economy and government that works for everyone and not just the 1 percent, is among the top 1 percent of earners in the U.S. According to the liberal-leaning Economic Policy Institute. families in the U.S. earning $421,926 or more a year are part of this group.
During his first presidential bid, Sanders released just one year of his tax returns — his 2014 return — and it was not a major issue in the Democratic primary contest. But this year, as President Donald Trump has continued to refuse to release his full tax returns and House Democrats are forcing the issue, tax transparency has grown in prominence.
Sanders’ status as a millionaire, which he acknowledged last week, was cemented in his 2017 statement. That year, Sanders disclosed $1.31 million income, combined from his Senate salary and $961,000 in book royalties and sales.
In a statement accompanying the release, Sanders said that the returns show that his family has been “fortunate,” something he is grateful for after growing up in a family that lived paycheck to paycheck.
“I consider paying more in taxes as my income rose to be both an obligation and an investment in our country. I will continue to fight to make our tax system more progressive so that our country has the resources to guarantee the American Dream to all people,” Sanders added.
Sanders, 77, has also listed Social Security payments for each year of the decade of tax returns he made available on Monday. By 2018, his wife, 69, was also taking Social Security, providing the couple with nearly $52,000 for the year.
Sanders and his wife disclosed $36,300 in charitable contributions in 2017, but their return does not detail each individual contribution.
A number of Sanders’ rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination — including Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Kamala Harris of California and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota — have released tax records to varying degrees. Gillibrand was the first candidate to release her 2018 tax returns, and her campaign released a video in which she called on other candidates to join her.
