Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Monday evening ratcheted up her attacks on the Trump administration’s immigration policies, referring to President Donald Trump as a “fascist” operating “concentration camps” on the U.S.-Mexico border.

“That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps,” Ocasio-Cortez said of migrant holding facilities during a Q&A live-streamed on Instagram. “The fact that concentrations camps are now an institutionalized practice in the Home of the Free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it.”

The self-avowed Democratic-socialist then voiced her eagerness to connect with others “who are concerned enough with humanity to say that ‘never again’ means something.”

The expression “never again” is strongly associated with Holocaust remembrance.

During another part of the live-stream, the 29-year-old freshman lawmaker warned her followers that “we are losing to an authoritarian and fascist presidency.”

“I don’t use those words lightly,” she continued. “I don’t use those words to just throw bombs. I use that word because that is what an administration that creates concentration camps is. A presidency that creates concentration camps is fascist, and it’s very difficult to say that.”

“The fact that concentration camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing, and we need to do something about it,” she added.

In November, Ocasio-Cortez faced blowback after comparing asylum seekers to Jews fleeing Nazi Germany during World War II, attempting to make the point that neither was a “crime.” “Asking to be considered a refugee and applying for status isn’t a crime,” the congresswoman wrote on Twitter. “It wasn’t for Jewish families fleeing Germany. It wasn’t for targeted families fleeing Rwanda. It wasn’t for communities fleeing war-torn Syria. And it isn’t for those fleeing violence in Central America.”

Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks came as President Trump vowed to deport millions of illegal aliens in a series of tweets.

Ahead of launching his 2020 re-election campaign, the president stated that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will next week “begin the process of removing the millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States.”

“They will be removed as fast as they come in,” he added.

Rapper Talib Kweli gave his fans an incredibly wrong history lesson Friday, saying that the Berlin Wall was created by Nazi Germany and was proof of how “walls didn’t work for Nazis.”

“So, you’re unaware of the fact that nazi Germany had a wall called the Berlin Wall that was torn down in 1991 in order to foster humanity and diversity? Walls didn’t work for Nazis so why build them here? Build bridges not walls Nazi lover,” Talib Kweli said in response to another social media user.

Of course, the Berlin Wall was erected not by Nazi Germany, but by socialist East Germany, which was under the occupation of the communist Soviet Union at the time.

Also, unlike President Donald Trump’s proposed wall along the United States-Mexico border, the Berlin Wall was created to stop people from leaving East Germany’s occupation to travel into free West Berlin.

Talib Kweli’s social media posts are not only fact-deficient, they are often hate-filled and vitriolic. In 2016, the “Get By” rapper attacked Breitbart News’ Jerome Hudson, repeatedly disparaging him with the racial slur “coon.”

Twitter, despite their strict enforcement of rules when it comes to conservatives, took no action despite Kweli repeatedly racially abusing people on the platform over political disagreements.

Finnish MP compares the European Union to fascist Germany in the 40s

By

During a parliamentary debate, Finnish MP Ville Tavio of the nationalist Finns party, has asserted as reported by Finnish national broadcaster Yle: “Federalists are threatening the people of Europe and the nation state. They create a new kind of Soviet Union, they create a new Nazi Germany”.

He’s received criticism from fellow politicians, as well as from the Prime Minister Juha Sipilä. The Finns, Ville’s party, are not disavowing the statement about the “fascist” likeness of European globalism, calling it a “new form of fascism”.

He explains that he believes that the Finns were unaware of the globalist agenda when they voted to join the EU in the 1990s. The 34-year-old politician’s statement has sparked a major debate with politicians on both the left and the right having a strong response.

The Finns, who used to be called True Finns and still is their name in both of Finland’s official languages of Swedish and Finnish, are the Finnish right-wing nationalists and EU-sceptic party.

They have stood with Ville regarding the comment, the group chairperson Leena Meri stating: “I understood it in the way that Tavio was aiming at the EU’s megalomania, that nothing is ever enough. He didn’t offend any person in particular, but criticised the entire institution as such”.
