Chuck Schumer, Caught With Jeffrey Epstein Donations, Gives The Money Away

By

Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was caught accepting money from accused child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, and now he’s making a show of giving the money away, just as he did with his Harvey Weinstein donations.

The New York Post reports: Federal Election Commission records show that Schumer received seven $1,000 donations from Epstein between 1992 and 1997, first as a US congressman from New York and then when he was vying to be the state’s senator in 1998, an election he won…

That means Schumer and Schumer-linked entities received a combined $22,000.

Schumer spokesman Angelo Roefaro responded, “While these campaign accounts closed about 20 years ago, and even then the campaign never controlled the two political action committees (PACs), Senator Schumer is donating an equal sum to anti-sex trafficking and anti-violence against women groups.”

The top Senate Democrat previously donated $14,200 — the amount donated to his campaigns by accused sexual predator Harvey Weinstein — to several charities supporting women.

New York Post passage ends

A “little black book” of names and addresses kept by Jeffrey Epstein’s butler includes many rich and powerful people including George Soros’ investment banker nephew Peter Soros, who shows up alongside Bill Richardson, Alec Baldwin and others.

The Soros-Epstein connection is less clearly defined at this time, based on available knowledge, than the clear relationship between Epstein and former Democrat president Bill Clinton,

Court documents show that Jeffrey Epstein had 21 different phone numbers for Bill Clinton.

“Epstein’s personal phone directory from his computer contains e-mail addresses for Clinton along with 21 phone numbers for him, including those for his assistant (Doug Band), his schedulers, and what appear to be Clinton’s personal numbers. This information certainly leads one to believe that Clinton might well be a source of relevant information and efforts to obtain discovery from him were reasonably calculated to lead to admissible evidence,” according to the court documents from a civil case filed by victims against Epstein.

The U.S. District Court Judge presiding over the Jeffrey Epstein child trafficking case was appointed to the federal bench by former president Bill Clinton, a frequent travel companion of Epstein. Epstein actually claimed to be a co-founder of the Clinton Global Initiative.

Richard Berman was appointed by Bill Clinton in 1998. He presided over Dinesh D’Souza’s case where D’Souza was convicted of re-imbursing friends to evade campaign contribution limits in a New York election.

Meanwhile, disgraced former FBI director James Comey’s daughter Maurene is one of the prosecutors in the case.

Why did Epstein get a very light sentence — 13 months in a comfortable county jail — when he was first convicted as a sex criminal?

Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, a former Miami prosecutor, reportedly cut Jeffrey Epstein a deal in Epstein’s previous case because he was told that Epstein “belonged to intelligence.” Epstein now stands criminally accused of child sex trafficking.

The Daily Beast reports: “Is the Epstein case going to cause a problem [for confirmation hearings]?” Acosta had been asked. Acosta had explained, breezily, apparently, that back in the day he’d had just one meeting on the Epstein case. He’d cut the non-prosecution deal with one of Epstein’s attorneys because he had “been told” to back off, that Epstein was above his pay grade. “I was told Epstein ‘belonged to intelligence’ and to leave it alone,” he told his interviewers in the Trump transition, who evidently thought that was a sufficient answer and went ahead and hired Acosta. (The Labor Department had no comment when asked about this.)”

Interesting.

Bill Clinton declined to be accompanied by the Secret Service on at least 5 of his flights with accused child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. Clinton took at least 26 trips with Epstein according to FAA flight logs, and is now fighting to assert that he was not involved with Epstein’s pedophilia.

Malia Zimmerman reported in 2016: “Official flight logs filed with the Federal Aviation Administration show Clinton traveled on some of the trips with as many as 10 U.S. Secret Service agents. However, on a five-leg Asia trip between May 22 and May 25, 2002, not a single Secret Service agent is listed. The U.S. Secret Service has declined to answer multiple Freedom of Information Act requests filed by FoxNews.com seeking information on these trips. Clinton would have been required to file a form to dismiss the agent detail, a former Secret Service agent told FoxNews.com. In response to a separate FOIA request from FoxNews.com, the U.S. Secret Service said it has no records showing agents were ever on the island with Clinton.”

Fox News passage ends

Former Democrat president Bill Clinton released a statement Monday through a spokesperson acknowledging numerous interactions with his frequent travel companion Jeffrey Epstein.

I reported in 2015:

Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein pleaded the Fifth Amendment in court to avoid having to admit to his personal friendship with former President Bill Clinton.

Court documents (p. 34) reviewed by The Daily Caller reveal that Epstein took the Fifth to avoid self-incrimination in a deposition when directly asked, “Do you know former President Clinton personally?” Epstein made the plea in a 2010-2011 civil case between Epstein and Florida lawyer Brad Edwards, who sued Epstein on behalf of some of Epstein’s alleged victims.

Soros and Koch funding new ‘anti-war’ think tank— and we should probably be a little bit suspicious

By Danielle Ryan

There’s a new “anti-war” think tank coming to town. It will promote a new US foreign policy — one based on diplomacy instead of sanctions and war. Sounds great, until you hear it’s being funded by Soros and Koch.

The ‘Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft’ will oppose Washington’s “endless wars” and will “challenge the basis of American foreign policy in a way that has not been done in at least the last quarter-century,” according to co-founder Trita Parsi.

With financier George Soros coming from the left (though he’s hardly a real leftist) and industrialist Charles Koch coming from the right, everyone is supposed to applaud the bipartisan nature of the initiative. The Boston Globe called it “one of the most remarkable partnerships in modern American political history” as though the two billionaire businessmen come from alternate universes.

Screen Shot 2019-07-05 at 11.20.57 AM

The Globe notes that promoting an anti-war message is “radical notion,” given that nearly every major think tank in Washington currently promotes “some variant of neocon militarism or liberal interventionism.”

To give credit where it’s due, this really is a radical notion — and the more the anti-war narrative begins to trickle into the mainstream, the better. If the Quincy Institute does what it says on the tin, most genuine anti-war activists and readers won’t quibble too much about where the think tank got its start-up cash. Soros and Koch have thrown $500,000 each into the pot.

Who checks the fact-checkers? Facebook leaves verification to groups funded by Soros, US Congress

Screen Shot 2019-07-05 at 11.22.37 AM

Named after John Quincy Adams, who declared in 1821 that the US “goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy” but is the “well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all” and the “champion and vindicator only of her own,” the think tank will offer a platform to both progressive voices and anti-interventionist conservatives.

The Globe writes that this will mean its writers will “likely” advocate for things like pulling US troops out of Afghanistan and Syria, putting an end to regime change wars and “less confrontational” policies toward China and Russia.

The problem here is not the concept. It’s just a question of whether or not the venture can actually be taken seriously when Soros and Koch’s fingerprints are already all over the world’s current endless wars, conflicts and regime changes.

Take some well-known Soros-funded think tanks; the Center for American Progress and the Atlantic Council, for example. They haven’t exactly been the biggest peace-pushers in the think tank world. The AC also received funding from a slew of arms manufacturers, so you’d be hard-pressed to find any anti-war sentiment there. Soros has also been linked to the “pro-democracy” European group Avaaz, which has advocated for no-fly zones in Libya and agitated for regime change in Venezuela and Iran.

In 2017, the Soros-funded ‘European Values’ think tank smeared 2,327 people as “useful idiots” for Russia for merely appearing on RT, in a McCarthyist-style attack on anyone deemed not to be sufficiently compliant with prevailing Western narratives.

Koch too has been linked to havoc-wreaking policies everywhere from Iraq to Venezuela. Despite supposedly opposing the Iraq war, independent journalist Caitlin Johnstone notes that Koch has been a major donor to the neoconservative American Enterprise Institute, whose members are considered leading architects of the invasion.

The Quincy Institute is slated to launch in September and until it gets off the ground, it will be impossible to declare a final judgement on its work — but given that organizations funded by Soros and Koch have spouted war-promoting propaganda to serve the US imperialist agenda for years, it’s a little difficult to see this sudden change of heart as entirely genuine.

Kochs and Soros Launch Think-Tank Headed by Iranian Extremist to Undermine Trump’s Foreign Policy Agenda

The Kochs and Soros are uniting to stop Trump and protect globalism.

By Shane Trejo

This weekend, the globalists George Soros and the Koch Brothers announced a partnership to fund the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft to allegedly oppose endless war.

“The Quincy Institute is an action-oriented think tank that will lay the foundation for a new foreign policy centered on diplomatic engagement and military restraint. The current moment presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to bring together like-minded progressives and conservatives and set U.S. foreign policy on a sensible and humane footing. Our country’s current circumstances demand it,” the Quincy Institute’s website reads.

Soros’ Open Society Foundation and the Charles Koch Foundation put up half a million each to get the think-tank off the ground. It will be led by Trita Parsi, who founded the National Iranian American Council (NIAC). Pariso wrote A Single Roll of the Dice – Obama’s Diplomacy with Iran, praising former President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.

The NIAC has come under fire for its alleged ties to the Islamic Republic of Iran. He was ordered to pay “$183,480.09 in monetary sanctions” over a defamation suit brought against journalist Hassan Daioleslam by NIAC in an attempt to bully him into silence.

“They sued me, and ran a smear campaign against me,” Daioleslam said to Business Insider in 2015. “They did everything to crush me. But after seven years of the lawsuit they couldn’t break me.”

The NIAC “flouted multiple court orders,” according to Judge Robert Wilkins, during the course of the defamation suit that they brought against Daioleslam, as they desperately wanted to keep their internal workings hidden from the public.

“Its resolute failure to produce all relevant drives until over a year after it was first ordered to do so is inexcusable,” Wilkins said about NIAC’s dishonest and secretive behavior in the courts.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia found in 2012 that Parsi’s work is “not inconsistent with the idea that he was first and foremost an advocate for the regime.”

Parsi’s writings show his far-left, anti-Israel political leanings. He recently wrote an op/ed for The Guardian where he praised Muslim socialist Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) following her incendiary comments made against the Jewish people.

“On the Israel-Palestine conflict, it was Omar, more than her party elders, who represented the values of Democratic voters when she criticized the influence of money in politics and applied the point to America’s virtually unconditional support for Israel,” he wrote, cheering on the Democratic Party’s recent shift against the Jewish nation.

“The overwhelming majority of Democrats, about 82%, now say the US should lean toward neither Israel nor Palestinians. Even more dramatically, 56% of Democrats favor imposing sanctions or harsher measures against Israel if its settlements keep expanding,” he added.

Parsi wrote another op/ed in The Guardian blaming Donald Trump for allowing mass shootings to persist while claiming that right-wing conservatives, not extremist Muslims, are the most pressing terror threat.

“Trump apparently considers neo-Nazis, white supremacists and those motivated by racial and cultural anxiety as his constituency,” he wrote. “Depicting them as a threat counters his interests while depicting those whom they hate as dangerous serves his agenda. The more immigrants and Muslims are seen as threats, the more America’s racists are compelled to back Trump.”

“This makes Americans less safe. Not just because it turns Americans against Americans, but because Trump further shifts our focus away from the threat of rightwing extremists and racists even though they are at least as dangerous as Isis extremists,” he added.

Because of the Koch Brothers and their close ally George Soros – who are also partnering to implement Big Brother censorship against right-wing dissidents – Parsi will be at the helm of another influential think-tank where he will be able to oppose President Trump’s foreign policy and promote Iranian interests under the guise of supporting peace.

Bill Kristol’s Democrat-Funded Nonprofit is Bankrolling Pro-Justin Amash Ad Campaign

Kristol’s front, the Republicans for the Rule of Law, is buying at least $50,000 worth of ads to promote Amash.

By Shane Trejo

Although Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) is rapidly losing support from constituents in his own district, he has gained new allies in the elite media class as a result of joining the Democrats to support President Donald Trump’s impeachment. Bill Kristol, the globalist neocon architect of the Iraq War, is now pumping money into Amash’s re-election efforts as a result.

A nation organization with ties to prominent Democrat funders, the Republicans for the Rule of Law, will be spending $50,000 on an ad buy urging Republicans to support Amash as he tries to railroad the President.

Certain ads will air during the “Fox & Friends” program on Fox News until Friday. The nonprofit will also put print ads in a Grand Rapids newspaper as well as producing digital ads.

“Our leaders all take an oath to defend and uphold the Constitution. It’s a solemn agreement between the American people and those they choose to serve in government,” Republicans for the Rule of Law said in a statement.

“Their party affiliation, personal ambition and desire for reelection all come second to that solemn oath. Rep. Amash is upholding his oath, putting the good of the country above smaller matters. Every politician should follow his example,” they added.

The television ads can be seen here:

Kristol, who ran the now-defunct Weekly Standard, has been praising Amash since he publicly declared his support for Trump’s impeachment despite the fact that Trump was cleared of any Russian collusion by the Mueller report.

CAP

After being run from the GOP following failed sabotage efforts against Trump in 2016, Kristol has gone back to his leftist roots and started taking funds from at least one far-left oligarch. Progressive billionaire Pierre Omidyar’s non-profit Democracy Fund has given at least $600,000 to Kristol’s front group, Defending Democracy Together.

Omidyar has donated millions to organizations in the George Soros network such as the Open Society Foundations and the Tides Foundation. Republicans for the Rule of Law is listed as a “a 501(c)(4) nonprofit and a project of Defending Democracy Together” on their own website.

Amash’s opponents have speculated that he is being propped up by Democrats for years, and now they have solid evidence to back up that theory. Democratic dollars will be used to help Amash gain re-election in 2020 to continue his campaign against President Trump.

YOUTUBE DELETES CHANNEL OF SPAIN’S POPULIST VOX PARTY

YouTube Deletes Channel of Spain's Populist Vox Party

“Serious attack on freedom of expression”

JUNE 19, 2019

YouTube has deleted the populist Spanish Vox Party’s entire channel in yet another example of the Google-owned platform targeting right of center political content.

“Spain’s far-right Vox party @vox_es has demanded an explanation from @YouTube as to why their account has been closed or suspended ‘without any explanation’,” reported the Spain in English Twitter account.

CAP

The party itself then tweeted, “The decision to remove the channel is a serious attack on the freedom of expression and dissemination of a political party.”

CAP

It subsequently emerged that the deletion of the channel likely came as a result of simultaneous copyright claims made by leftists.

“YouTube has informed us that the disabling of the VOX channel is due to the complaint made by three people who believe that we have used content of theirs,” the party later tweeted, blaming “left-wing activists” for coordinating the takedown.

The party said that other political parties had used the same audiovisual content without being hit by copyright strikes.

“We call on these platforms, who claim to fight online abuse, to pursue groups of progressive trolls who report in an organized manner and for ideological reasons to all those accounts that do not conform to their unique thinking,” the party tweeted.

CAP

The Vox Party has 24 seats in the Spanish parliament having obtained over 10% of the vote in the country’s national election earlier this year. The party also has 3 seats in the European parliament.

As we previously reported, just days before the Spanish election in April, Facebook removed numerous large pro-Vox pages which had a combined reach of millions at the request of Avaaz, a left-wing NGO which is funded by George Soros.

Earlier this month, YouTube caved to a wave of contrived mob outrage (coincidentally led by another “Vox” – the left-wing media outlet) and announced it was imposing a major crackdown on “hate speech”.

Sanders Mega-Donor Advocated for Southern Secession to Rid Country of ‘Dumb’ People

By Haris Alic

A major donor who introduced 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) at his first 2020 “grassroots fund-raiser” previously advocated for the South to secede so it could stop “dumbing down national politics.”

On Saturday, Sanders’s presidential campaign hosted a star-studded event in San Francisco, which it billed as “grassroots fundraiser and friendraiser.” Tickets for attendance started at $27 and went up to $2,800, the maximum contribution allowed by the Federal Election Commission.

Although the event drew attention with its high-profile speakers, including actor Danny Glover and activist Cornel West, the man who introduced Sanders, Guy Saperstein, received little notice. In its coverage of the fundraiser, The New York Times described Saperstein as a “retired civil rights lawyer” and wealthy “political contributor,” who was out of place given Sanders’ broadsides against big money in politics.

What the Times failed to mention is that Saperstein, a former president of the Sierra Club, has a long and somewhat controversial history in Democratic politics.

As previously reported by the Washington Free Beacon, Saperstein in 2014 was a member of a private Google group consisting of “progressive organizers, reporters, and campaign apparatchiks.” As a member of that group, Saperstein openly discussed his support for Southern secession.

“For more than 100 years, the South has been dumbing down national politics, tilting the country in a conservative direction, supporting militarism, all while demanding huge financial subsidies from blue states,” Guy Saperstein wrote in emails to other members. “It would be 100% fine with me if the South was a separate nation, pursuing its own priorities and destiny.”

When the emails were leaked to Media Trackers, a now defunct Wisconsin conservative news outlet, Saperstein doubled down on his stance.

“Secession would be a gradual process, giving any blacks who felt threatened time to relocate,” he told Media Trackers at the time.

It is unclear if Sanders knew about Saperstein’s prior remarks. The senator’s campaign did not return requests for comment.

The issue, however, underscores a potential vulnerability for the self-described Democratic socialist from Vermont. During his 2016 presidential campaign, Sanders failed to gain traction in the South. Sanders lost every single state in the region to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the eventual nominee. In some states like South Carolina, where African-American voters make up a large portion of the Democratic electorate, Sanders was defeated by landslide margins.

Saperstein is also a former member of the Democracy Alliance, the secretive group of liberal billionaires—which also includes Tom Steyer and George Soros—that funds Democratic campaigns and causes across the country.

Salvini, Orban alliance: “If the Left wins, Europe will become an Islamic Caliphate”

By

The Hungarian Prime MinisterViktor Orbán  and the Italian Interior Ministe Matteo Salvini are planning to fight the current EU agenda.

Salvini visited Orbán to inform himself about the border fence between Hungary and Serbia. Orban even referred to Salvini as the most important man in Europe.

Orban stated that he is ready to work with dynamic and vital men while calling the EU tired and powerless.

“I hope new powers will rise up and accomplish to build something”, ending with “Europe needs Matteo Salvini.”

Salvini underlined that he is not right-wing but that his party simply represents an alternative for Europe. He acknowledged not knowing how many parties will join him or how strong they will be.

“But, I hope we will be very strong because if the Left wins Europe will become an Islamic caliphate”he stated.

Both men called on the European People’s Party to adopt their views unless they want to commit political suicide. If the EPP decided to follow their example both expressed willingness to work with them.

EPP President Joseph Daul on the other hand strongly opposes this. He allegedly said that this would have to happen without him and that he would not accept to be Chair of the European Commission if it required the help of Orban’s Fidesz party.

After the suspension of the Fidesz party for its criticism of George Soros and EU-Commission President Juncker for their migration policies cooperation between Euro-Skeptics is becoming more and more likely.

Together with the Alternative for Germany, the Freedom Party of Austria, Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National, the Finnish Perussuomalaiset, the Estonian Conservative People’s Party, the Dutch Freedom Party, the Slovakian Sme Rodina, the Belgian Vlaams Belang, the Danish People’s Party and Salvini’s Lega represent the European Alliance of Peoples and Nations and could become quite formidable after European Parliament elections.

Hungary will not soften laws to allow Soros college to stay in the country

Hungary will not relax rules for international universities despite pressure from the EU and offers from Germany to mediate in a row over a college founded by US billionaire George Soros, a government spokesman said.

*
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a nationalist who has often clashed with the European Union, has been accused of restricting academic freedom with his new higher education rules, which the Central European University said forced it out of the country.
*
“There is no change in our core view”, government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs told Reuters.

“We will not change the laws and regulations that govern higher education in Hungary. We still operate on that basis.”
*
Central European University, set up by Soros, will move part of its operations to Austria from September because of rules forbidding it to issue US degrees.

The dispute, often seen as a proxy for disagreements between Soros and Orbán on migration, is one of the main issues that caused the European Peoples’ Party to suspend Orbán’s Fidesz before European Parliament elections.
*
At the initiative of Manfred Weber, the EPP’s lead candidate to head the EU executive after the May elections, the government of the German state of Bavaria and the Technical University of Munich stepped in to help.
*
Offering three new professorships and new courses to augment CEU’s teaching, they said they would open a way for CEU to issue international degrees.
*
A Hungarian government official told an opposition member of the Budapest parliament that Hungary considered Bavarian participation in the Hungarian higher education sector “a step that builds trust”.
*
And Balazs Orbán, a state secretary on the prime minister’s staff, said the government was “ready to examine the possibility for issuing diplomas recognized in the United States and Germany as well as in Hungary”.
*
However, he reiterated that all universities had to comply with Hungarian law, and Zoltan Kovacs also made it clear that Bavarian participation, while welcome, would lead to no legal amendments.

Who checks the fact-checkers? Facebook leaves verification to groups funded by Soros, US Congress

CAP

In its crusade against ‘fake news’, Facebook has vowed to fight for impartiality. However, when it comes to fact-checking, it seems to rely on sources, which have links to the US government, and renowned political meddlers.

For more than two years, the social media giant has been seeking to convince the public that it does its best to take a stand against malicious disinformation spread through its network and presented a whole bunch of instruments aimed at revealing and countering false narratives.

It appears, though, that Facebook heavily relies on decisions taken by some third-parties in its ‘anti-disinformation’ policy.

Submissions from the so-called fact-checkers – alongside some feedback from users – seem to be the primary source on which Facebook relies when saying a post is ‘false’.

One-fits-all solution?

Facebook proudly boasted that all the “partners” it cooperates with were “certified” through what it calls “the non-partisan International Fact-Checking Network” or IFCN.

However, the social network’s choice of people to trust with the power to decide what is true or false does raise questions. This seemingly impressive “international network” Facebook mentions is a project run by Florida-based private school of journalism – the Poynter Institute for Media Studies.

The project, which Facebook apparently uses as a sole instrument to find trustworthy “partners,” seems to be way more than just a selfless initiative aimed at helping people navigate through questionable information.

ALSO ON RT.COMAP & Snopes quit ‘fact-checking’ for Facebook as NewsGuard’s blacklist model pushes aheadThe IFCN was launched in 2015 following a generous donation totaling $300,000, which the Poynter Institute received from two sources. One of them is the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) – a “soft-power” organization, which is funded primarily through annual allocations from the US Congress. Another one is the Omidyar Network – a foundation run by the eBay founder and self-described “progressive” billionaire Pierre Omidyar.

Although he has not yet apparently gained as much fame – or infamy for that matter – as another US billionaire and renowned political meddler, George Soros, Omidyar has also lately shown himself as a major patron of regime-change operations. As early as in 2014, the US media reported that Omidyar supported anti-government groups in Ukraine that opposed the then President Viktor Yanukovych, who was ousted during Maidan.

A report by Forbes also suggested that the billionaire was one of the major funders of the Kiev-based Hromadske TV, which harbored anti-Russian views while backing the violent 2014 coup. Most recently, a group of journalists revealed that Omidyar funds a wide range of media outlets through foundations, nonprofits and other cutouts that in fact promote the liberal interventionist agenda.

Notably, two years after the launch of the IFCN Omidyar teamed up with none other than another “liberal interventionist” – Soros – to channel some $1.3 million into the project to support its development.

The Poynter Institute itself also has the Omidyar Network as well as the Democracy Fund – another foundation linked to the eBay founder – on its list of major donors, alongside Open Society Foundations (OSF) run by Soros and the NED.

Providers of ‘ultimate truth’

The list of “certified” fact-checkers provided by the IFCN certainly looks impressive. It includes such international news agencies as Associated Press and Agency France Press (AFP), which appear on the list along with its branch offices in a dozen and a half countries. In total, the ‘network’ describes 66 organizations as “verified signatories” of the self-styled “code of principles” it developed.

However, the impartiality question remains. At least some of the organizations listed as reliable suppliers of the ultimate truth and described as “partners” by Facebook in fact receive substantial funding from the likes of Soros and Omidyar – or even directly from Western governments.

One of these organizations called PolitiFact even enjoys what it calls “administrative support” from the Poynter Institute while receiving significant funding from Facebook itself. The US-based fact-checker also collected regular donations from Omidyar’s Democracy Fund since at least 2013, which amounted to between $125,000 and $250,000.

ALSO ON RT.COMMeet Pierre Omidyar, billionaire patron of US regime change operations, neocons & activist media

Across the pond, the British Full Fact charity lists the Omidyar Network and Open Society Foundations among its top-5 donors. And in the Philippines Omidyar is backing the Rappler, a news site that also made its way to the IFCN fact-checkers’ list while opposing President Rodrigo Duterte.

Together, Omidyar’s Luminate Group and Soros’ OSF also provided a quarter of the funding, which a South Africa-based fact-checker, the ‘Africa Check’, received in 2018. Meanwhile, another such organization based in Turkey and called Teyit got its funds directly from Western governments in the form of “financial support”provided by the British embassy in Ankara as well as the European Endowment for Democracy – a foundation financed directly by most EU states along with Switzerland and Norway.

Some of the organizations on the list also manage to collect donations both from Western governments and the “liberal interventionists.” One such example is the Columbian ‘La Silla Vacia’ group, which received 14.5 percent of its funding from Soros, 9.5 percent from the British embassy and another four percent from the NED.

It seems, after all that, the accusations of “bias” Facebook complained so bitterly about in 2018 might be not as unsubstantiated as the social media giant would like it to appear. Back then, Facebook’s project manager, Tessa Lyons, rhetorically asked if it is possible to have a set of fact-checkers that are widely recognized as objective in today’s world. That’s a really good question, which Facebook might need to ask itself again.

Bernie Sanders Plan Would Allow 183K Murderers, 164K Rapists to Vote from Prison

Serial KIiller

By John Binder

Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) recent endorsement of giving voting rights to all American citizens who are currently in prison for local, state, and federal crimes would allow some 183,000 convicted murderers and 164,000 convicted rapists to vote from their jail cells.

In a CNN town hall this week, Sanders endorsed allowing all convicted U.S. citizens — regardless of their crime — to vote from prison.

“So, I believe people who commit crimes, they pay the price and they get out of jail, they certainly should have the right to vote,” Sanders said. “But, I believe even if they are in jail, they’re paying the price to society, but that should not take away their inherent American right to participate in our democracy.”

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), also running for the Democrat nomination for president, hinted that she would be open to such a plan, saying “I think we should have that conversation” when asked about allowing convicted criminals to vote from their cells.

The latest data compiled by the Prison Policy Initiative concludes that there are more than 1.6 million convicted criminals in local, state, and federal prisons across the country. This includes about 183,000 convicted murderers and 164,000 convicted rapists.

Not all 1.6 million convicted criminals in local, state, and federal custody are American citizens, though. State and local prisons have yet to collect data deciphering between the citizen versus noncitizen populations of their prison populations.

Federal data concludes that noncitizens make up about 25 percent of the federal prison population.

Should this be true of local and state prisons, as well, this would mean that about 1.2 million convicted criminals in prison today could be eligible to vote from their cells under Sanders’ plan — including anywhere between 137,000 and 183,000 convicted murderers and potentially between 123,000 to 164,000 convicted rapists.

Similarly, the Sanders plan would potentially allow anywhere between 14,250 and 19,000 citizens convicted of manslaughter to vote from their cells, as well as up to 154,000 convicted assailants.

Ahead of the 2020 presidential election, as Breitbart News has reported, organizations funded by billionaire George Soros are working to restore the voting rights of about 1.4 million felons in Florida after the state approved the measure last year.
