NYT editor’s tweets mocking Jews, Indians amid newspaper’s ‘anti-racist’ drive

A politics editor at the New York Times faces charges of anti-Semitism and bigotry after a series of old insensitive tweets surfaced online. This comes after a similar scandal with its Washington editor and leaked editorial tapes.

Breitbart News uncovered the tweets in an investigation published on Thursday, detailing a litany of offensive and racially-charged remarks from senior staff editor Tom Wright-Piersanti, who has worked at the Gray Lady for a little over five years, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Before that, on New Year’s day in 2010, Wright-Piersanti said: “I was going to say ‘Crappy Jew Year,’ but one of my resolutions is to be less anti-Semitic. So… HAPPY Jew Year. You Jews.”

The tweet has since been deleted.

In another missive dated December 2009, the future Times editor posted a photo of a vehicle with what appears to be a menorah – associated with the religious holiday of Hanukkah – on its roof, and asked Who called the Jew police?”

Though the “Jew police” tweet was still publicly viewable when Breitbart’s story first ran, it has also since mysteriously vanished from Wright-Piersanti’s Twitter page.

The apparently anti-Semitic comments prompted the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), one of the oldest Jewish political advocacy groups in the US, to demand for the editor’s swift termination, and a review of past stories he edited.

“The Zionist Organization of America urges the New York Times to immediately dismiss this individual and to undertake a review of all of the stories that he has edited for possible antisemitic bias,” a spokesperson for ZOA told Breitbart News.

In addition to members of the Jewish faith, Wright-Piersanti’s tweets often fixated on “Indians” as well, though it’s not always clear if he is referring to Native AmericRAans or people from India.

“There are four indian guys with mohawks in this one class, and each one is a douche in his own awful way,” he tweeted in December 2009.

I hate mohawk Indians.

A number of other posts singled out Indians for ridicule or insult as well, all of which remain public on Wright-Piersanti’s page at the time of publication.

In another deleted tweet, the Times editor mused “With asian babies, is it racist to say to the parents, ‘Aw, he looks just like you!’? What if you say it before you see any pictures?”

While the Times has not yet addressed the allegations publicly, Wright-Piersanti tweeted an apology on Thursday morning, after scrubbing a number of the offending tweets from his page, which he briefly set to private.

Following the publication of Brietbart’s investigation, Donald Trump Jr., the president’s son, weighed in on the story, tweeting “Disgusting. But we shouldn’t expect any better from the New York Times. This is who they are.”

Earlier this month, the Times demoted its deputy Washington editor for “serious lapses in judgement” in the form of tweets criticized as ‘racist.’

NYT shifts from Russiagate to racism, insisting Orange Man Still Bad

Last week, a transcript of an internal town hall meeting surfaced, showing that the newspaper deliberately decided to shift its coverage of President Donald Trump from his supposed connections to Russia to “race and other divisions.”

NBC News: “Heterosexuality Is Just Not Working’

man and woman hetrosexuality

By Thomas D. Williams, PH.D – August 23, 2019

Women are increasingly opting out of heterosexuality because it is “the bedrock of their global oppression,” NBC News asserted in a bizarre opinion piece this week.

“Men need heterosexuality to maintain their societal dominance over women,” writesMarcie Bianco for the NBC News website. “Women, on the other hand, are increasingly realizing not only that they don’t need heterosexuality, but that it also is often the bedrock of their global oppression.”

Ms. Bianco lumps together a series of recent news stories, “from Jeffrey Epstein to the Dayton and El Paso mass shooters, to Miley Cyrus’s separation and Julianne Hough’s declaration that she’s ‘not straight,’” which, she says, “together have laid bare the strictures of an American patriarchy on the edge of a nervous breakdown.”

“As the status quo, heterosexuality is just not working,” she concludes, before explaining just how evil men are and how women are learning to live without them.

“As a snapshot of 2019 America, these stories present a startling picture: Men continue to coerce, harass, rape and kill girls and women — and go to extreme lengths to avoid responsibility for their actions,” she states. “On the other side of the issue, girls and women are challenging heterosexuality, and even absconding from it altogether.”

“Patriarchy is at its most potent when oppression doesn’t feel like oppression, or when it is packaged in terms of biology, religion, or basic social needs like security comfort, acceptance and success,” Ms. Bianco declares.

“Heterosexuality offers women all these things as selling points to their consensual subjection,” she concludes, in a painful piece of contorted logic that reveals far more about the writer than it does about society and its institutions.

“Historically, women have been conditioned to believe that heterosexuality is natural or innate, just as they have been conditioned to believe that their main purpose is to make babies — and if they fail to do so, they are condemned as not ‘real,’ or as bad, women,” she pronounces.

A series of new role models are emerging, she suggests, whose lives and choices — as dysfunctional as they may appear to the general public — are teaching women how to take back power from men.

“Celebrities are not always at the vanguard of feminist thought, but both Julianne Hough and Miley Cyrus have recently spoken out about sexuality in ways that puts the power — and responsibility — back into their own hands,” she declares.

Men, on the other hand, particularly heterosexual men, are a blight on the earth and a source of unending woes, one infers.

“Where men seem to never to have to take responsibility for their actions, women always must take responsibility for not only their own actions but the actions of men,” she states. “Absconding from responsibility is the quintessential strategy of the patriarchy; it’s how men stay in control and never lose their power.”

“While men stew in their mess, women are rising,” she continues. “They are taking back control of their lives and their bodies and they are questioning the foundation of the patriarchy — heterosexuality — that has kept them blindly subordinate for centuries.”

While Ms. Bianco is certainly entitled to her opinions, as outrageous as they may be, one cannot help but wonder why NBC News would want to abet such overt and venomous misandry.

A similar tirade proposing that women are the source of all the world’s ills would garner well-deserved condemnation and no self-respecting news site would publish it.

Why, then, prop up such irrational hatred when the target is men?

FORMER FBI OFFICIAL: ‘TRUMP SUPPORTERS ARE LIKE TERRORISTS’

Former FBI Official: 'Trump Supporters Are Like Terrorists'

“If you call Trump followers racist en masse, they simply coalesce around each other.”

By Steve Watson – AUGUST 16, 2019

Former FBI official turned MSNBC analyst Frank Figliuzzi, who sees Hitler in everything Trump does, stated on a live broadcast this week that Trump supporters are a lot like terrorists rallying around a figurehead.

The former Assistant Director for Counterintelligence at the FBI, was discussing racism (shocker) with MSNBC host Chris Jansing, when the pair suggested that it would be a good idea for Democrats to keep accusing Trump supporters of being racist.

Jansing spewed:

And Figliuzzi responded:

That was enough to get the attention of Fox News analyst Dan Bongino, who said “I can’t believe this guy is still allowed on the air.”

“MSNBC is willing to put complete lunatics on the air who will say absolutely anything at any time, as long as it makes Trump look bad,” he added.

VIDEO: RESIDENTS HARASS, THROW OBJECTS AT PHILLY POLICE LEAVING SCENE OF SHOOTOUT

Video: Residents Harass, Throw Objects at Philly Police Leaving Scene of Shootout

One woman pushes a cop and calls him a “bitch ass ni**a.”

  – AUGUST 15, 2019

After a wild standoff and shootout that left six cops wounded in Philadelphia, residents pelted objects and shouted obscenities at some of the officers involved.

Video footage shows officers leaving the scene of the shootout, only to be physically confronted, laughed at and verbally abused by onlookers.

Bear in mind that the suspect, 36-year-old Maurice Hill, had a lengthy history of gun convictions, was being served a warrant related to a drug offense and could easily have killed some of the cops involved.

The officers were heckled and laughed at as they walked through the crowd, with one woman pushing a cop and calling him a “bitch ass ni**a.”

Some residents even tried to physically confront and scuffle with the officers.

According to Philadelphia’s KYW-TV reporter Alexandria Hoff, the harassment also took place during exchange of gunfire with the suspect.

“I mentioned this at 10 and since I was harassed during that live shot, I’ll mention it here, too,” Hoff said on Twitter. “A major moment of disappointment this evening was watching a crowd of people taunt police officers, laughing and yelling at them in the midst of the gunfire.”

After more than five hours of gunfire, a SWAT team managed to get two officers and three hostages out of the building which Hill was holed up safely.

Students sign petition to ban ‘offensive’ white man in crosswalk signs

By Ethan Cai

  • GWU students recently voted to change the school’s “Colonials” mascot and told Campus Reform that President Barack Obama is the best president in history.

  • Campus Reform went undercover to George Washington University to ask students if they supported changing the “offensive” and “oppressive” white man in crosswalk lights, as well.

With the rise of politically correct culture, students and universities have vehemently pushed for diversity and inclusivity movements, resulting in many things being labeling “offensive.”

In the past, students have signed fake petitions to ban “offensive” holidays like Valentine’s Day and even Christmas to push diversity and inclusion.

“I can see like, I guess, why some students have a problem with it… I’ll totally sign that.”

[RELATED: VIDEO: GW students say ‘Colonials’ mascot too offensive]

Amid these ongoing diversity and inclusivity movements, Campus Reform went to George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where students previously voted to ban their “offensive” Colonials mascot. GW students also previously told Campus Reform that President Barack Obama is the best president in U.S. history.

Campus Correspondent Ethan Cai asked George Washington students if they supported changing “offensive” crosswalk lights because the “walk” sign only portrays an image of a white man.

How far will this movement of diversity and inclusion go? Where will the line be drawn for what is considered offensive?

    WATCH:

“As we students cross the street, we are told by the symbol of a white man when it is okay to cross,” the fake petition stated. “Many students from diverse backgrounds, including individuals of color, gender fluid individuals, and LGBTQA+ individuals, feel oppressed by this.”

[RELATED: VIDEO: Students at George Washington University say Obama is greatest president ever]

By signing the petition, students “vehemently urge[d] the University to consider changing the crosswalk signs.”

Many students signed Campus Reform’s fake petition. Even one university faculty member expressed support, as well.

“There’s definitely a lack of representation,” one student said about the crosswalks. Another said that she thought the change would be “one step” to a more welcoming campus environment.

“That’s so cute! Oh my god yeah,” a student said with excitement about the idea. “I can see like, I guess, why some students have a problem with it… I’ll totally sign that.”

“Oh that’s so lit,” another student exclaimed.

WashPo: ‘Free Speech Makes It Difficult to Prosecute White Supremacy’

By Chris Menahan

The Washington Post lamented Thursday that the First Amendment makes it difficult to prosecute “white supremacists” for their political beliefs.

From The Washington Post, “Why free speech makes it difficult to prosecute white supremacy in America”

Federal authorities have used RICO many times to prosecute white prison gangs, but what got the members of organizations such as the Aryan Brotherhood locked up under the statute was not the racism they believed but the acts they committed: crimes including drug trafficking, murder, kidnapping and money laundering.

In the case of mass shootings by those who believe in white supremacy, such as the young white man who allegedly killed 22 people at a Walmart store in El Paso last weekend, prosecutors don’t need RICO to make a criminal case.

But if they wanted to use RICO to hold accountable the collective ideology that radicalized the shooter, they would need to prove that there was an organized enterprise involved with that ideology, that there was a traceable criminal conspiracy to commit violence and that there was a leader or leaders who instructed others to cause harm.

Without that, the collective ideology is not a conspiracy but hate speech. And in the United States, hate speech is not criminal. It’s a right protected by the First Amendment.

C’mon now, where’s your can-do attitude?

This is more like it:

But according to retired law professor G. Robert Blakey, who wrote the RICO statute and is considered the nation’s foremost authority on it, federal authorities should be using RICO to more rigorously investigate white extremist groups without violating free speech protections.

It wouldn’t be easy, he said, but there’s “no excuse” not to try.

Well said. The Bill of Rights is no reason not to start locking people up for their political beliefs!

Incidentally, the Post reported one day earlier how a Trump appointed prosecutor is “putting white supremacists in jail” by hitting them with archaic rioting charges for fighting with antifa (despite one California judge already throwing said rioting charges out for violating the First Amendment):

By the way, if you’re wondering who classifies as a “white supremacist” in modern America, just ask rapidly-rising Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren:

TWITTER LOCKS MCCONNELL CAMPAIGN’S ACCOUNT FOR SHOWING LEFTISTS THREATENING VIOLENCE OUTSIDE HOME

Twitter Locks McConnell Campaign’s Account For Showing Leftists Threatening Violence Outside Home

Also allowed “Massacre Mitch” to trend

8/7/2019

Twitter forced Sen. Mitch McConnell’s campaign Team Mitch to remove video of leftists calling for violence outside the Senate Majority Leader’s home in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, saying the footage violates the platform’s “violent threats policy.”

“This morning, Twitter locked our account for posting the video of real-world, violent threats made against Mitch McConnell,” McConnell’s campaign manager Kevin Golden said.

“We appealed and Twitter stood by their decision, saying our account will remain locked until we delete the video.”

The social media company also forced two other accounts to remove the video, including congressional staffer Ben Goldey and Daily Wire journalist Ryan Saavedra, despite the video’s obvious newsworthiness.

In the video, far-left Black Lives Matter activist complained that McConnell should be killed, either by murder or natural causes.

“Just stab the motherfucker in the heart, please,” Helm said of a hypothetical McConnell voodoo doll.

“One of those heart attacks where they can’t breath, and they’re holding their chest and they fall backwards,” she said. “He’s in there nursing his broken arm. He should have broken his raggedy, wrinkled-ass neck.”

Meanwhile, Twitter has allowed, and likely helped propagate, #MassacreMitch to trend after leftists blamed him for the two shootings in El Paso and Dayton last weekend.

Immigrants Rights Group, Women’s March Protest Trump’s El Paso Visit: ‘Hate Is Not Welcome’

Screen Shot 2019-08-07 at 11.19.28 AM

By Penny Starr

The Border Network for Human Rights and the Women’s March El Paso are protesting President Donald Trump’s trip to El Paso where he is visiting in the wake of a mass shooting on Saturday.

“City residents and lawmakers are planning to protest the trip with a simple message: hate is not welcome,” the Common Dreams website reported.

The Washington Post reported on the protest, which the media outlet said is to, “express their discontent with a president whose anti-immigrant rhetoric was echoed by a gunman who killed 22 people in El Paso:”

The grief and sorrow in Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso have begun to give way to anger and frustration in advance of President Trump’s planned visits Wednesday, with local leaders and residents increasingly vocal in their assertions that presidential condolences, thoughts and prayers will not be enough.

People are signing petitions, planning protests and, in Dayton, organizing a demonstration featuring an inflated “Baby Trump” to express their discontent with a president whose anti-immigrant rhetoric was echoed by a gunman who killed 22 people in El Paso. And while the motive of the man who killed nine people in Dayton remains unclear, Trump’s silence on the issue of guns has been criticized by local officials who want action to prevent future massacres.

A Facebook page about the protest states:

El Paso was targeted for the horrific shooting because we are a welcoming city that advocates for immigrant families.  We were targeted for fighting against the dehumanization of our immigrant brothers and sisters, for pushing back against the criminalization of our border and for denouncing President Trump’s attempts to paint our communities as something they’re not. President Trump is not welcome in El Paso and his narrative around immigrants and Central Americans should not be welcome anywhere.

Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX), who represents El Paso, also has said Trump is not welcome.

Screen Shot 2019-08-07 at 11.24.54 AM

“From my perspective, he is not welcome here,” Escobar said. “He should not come here while we are in mourning.”

“I would encourage the president’s staff members to have him do a little self-reflection. I would encourage them to show him his own words and his actions at the rallies,” Escobar said.

Escobar also declined Trump’s invitation to join the presidential delegation.

“I declined the invitation because I refuse to be an accessory to his visit,” Escobar tweeted“I refuse to join without a dialogue about the pain his racist and hateful words & actions have caused our community and country.”
