That’s what authoritarians do. Imprison political opposition.

During a broadcast segment on ABC news reporters in the Capitol were interviewing President Trump defense attorney Jay Sekulow.
Back in the ABC studio, Clinton operative George Stephanopoulos did not want to see ABC broadcasting statements from the defense and he is caught on camera using hand signals to tell the producers to cut-off the broadcast. Stephanopoulos realized he was caught:

This powerful video compilation exposes the mainstream media’s false narrative that attendees of the Virginia Gun March are racists and rednecks. In reality, Americans of every race, creed and color are united in their loyalty to the Constitution and are prepared to fight to protect it. This footage highlights the danger a unified populace poses to the political establishment who want the American people divided, NOT united.

Schiff said Trump should be removed because he chose to work with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a former top federal prosecutor and crime fighting mayor, for help on Ukraine corruption rather than the FBI or the intelligence agencies (hmm….work with the same agencies that tried to frame Trump in the Russia collusion hoax or work with someone you trust, tough choice.) Schiff said that makes Trump “dangerous”.
Schiff warned of Russia and China committing acts to help Trump win the 2020 election, with his blessing, even though Trump was cleared of the phony Russia collusion hoax in the 2016 election. Schiff said Trump might reward China for helping him by giving them a favorable trade deal. It was an incredible trashing of the President and Giuliani on the Senate floor by Schiff.
For good measure, Schiff invoked Lt. Col. Vindman and the old country.
Video clips of varying lengths below:
Full length:
“SCHIFF: “Whether we can say it publicly, we all know what we’re dealing with here with this president. Donald Trump chose Rudy Giuliani over his own intelligence agencies… that makes him dangerous… why would anyone in their right mind believe Giuliani over Christopher Wray?”
“SCHIFF: “Let’s say [Russia] starts blatantly interfering in our election again to help Trump. Can you have the least bit of confidence he’ll stand up & protect our national interest over his own? You know you can’t, which makes him dangerous to this country. You know you can’t.”
SCHIFF: “If right doesn’t matter, we’re lost …here, right is supposed to matter. It’s what’s made us the greatest nation on earth. No constitution can protect us if right doesn’t matter anymore …this is why if you find him guilty, you must remove him. Because right matters.”
The House Managers have one more day left to make their case. The trial resumes at 1 p.m. EST with the Managers having nearly eight hours left of their allotted 24 hours.

The Jimmy Dore Show

The 89-year-old grey eminence of liberal globalism announced “the most important project of my life” on Thursday at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Describing the current state of the world as dire, with the strongest powers “in the hands of would-be or actual dictators,” Soros said he would put forth $1 billion towards the creation of the Open Society University Network, revolving around his own Central European University (CEU).

Soros revealed that the CEU has already partnered up with Bard College in the US and a network of European social science schools called CIVICA, which includes the London School of Economics and the Paris Institute of Political Studies, also known as Sciences Po. He is seeking to expand the network into something “truly global” in the coming years.

The announcement came as part of Soros’ meandering speech to the gathering of global elites, which painted a dire picture of the world in the hands of “would-be or actual dictators” – he singled out Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping and India’s Narendra Modi by name – and paragons of “open society” such as the European Union being defeated by the UK decision to vote in a pro-Brexit government.
Soros described Trump as a “con man and the ultimate narcissist who wants the world to revolve around him,” accusing the US leader of wanting to “impose his alternative reality not only on his followers but on reality itself.” Just moments later, however, he praised Trump’s hard-line China policy and lamented that it does not go far enough.
The Hungarian-born billionaire held up climate change as a possible rallying cry of the “open society” adherents. He also praised the student-led protests in Hong Kong, holding them up as an example of what young people around the world can do when properly motivated.
This was the lead-in to his university project reveal, through which Soros hopes to unite all “academically excellent but politically endangered scholars” across the globe, whatever that means.
Continuing his crusade against social media, which he also launched in Davos two years ago, Soros slammed Facebook as having “a kind of informal mutual assistance operation” with Trump.
“Facebook will work together to re-elect Trump, and Trump will work to protect Facebook so that this situation cannot be changed and it makes me very concerned about the outcome for 2020,” he said, according to Bloomberg.
“This is just plain wrong,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone said when asked about Soros’ comments, for which the ‘Open Society’ magnate did not offer any evidence. Soros has previously funded Facebook’s third-party “fact checker” programs officially designed to “defend democracy.”
While claiming to champion democracy and “open society,” Soros has used massive amounts of money to influence national and local politics in the US, giving $5 million so far to the Democrats’ 2020 efforts to unseat Trump but also bankrolling local prosecutors with radical agendas.

Wednesday’s repetitious first session by the Managers and Tuesday’s late night marathon rules debate and votes have left senators “bored out of their minds” and in “agony” according to news reports, with senators nodding off, leaving their chairs, leaving the chamber or passing notes and candy to each other. Sen. Dianne Feinstein even left the Capitol Wednesday night during the trial, claiming through a spokesman to be under the weather.
Schiff: “But I also want to again take this opportunity to thank the senators for their long and considerable attention over the course of the last two days. I’m not sure the Chief justice is fully aware of just how rare it is, how extraordinary it is for the House members to be able to command the attention of senators sitting silently for hours–or even for minutes for that matter. Um, of course it doesn’t hurt that the morning starts out every day with the Sergeant at Arms warning you that if you don’t, you will be imprisoned. Um, it’s our hope that when the trial concludes and you’ve heard us and you’ve heard the President’s counsel over a series of long days that you don’t choose imprisonment instead of anything further.”
NY Daily News reporter Michael McAuliff took the remarks as Schiff taking a shot Republican senators, “Schiff opens with sly jab at restless Rs. Tell Roberts he may not be aware how extraordinary it is for senators to sit silently for the House. “It doesn’t hurt that the morning starts out every day with the sergeant at arms warning you that if you don’t you will be imprisoned.”

Members of President Trump’s impeachment defense team were not amused.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC), “Adam Schiff starting off today with a joke about imprisoning Senators came off like a joke written by Jerry Seinfeld but delivered by George Costanza”

Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), “Adam Schiff kicks off Day 3 of the Senate impeachment trial threatening Senators with imprisonment. Not sure what he’s worse at: reading his audience or telling jokes. Either way he is not helping his cause.”

Nadler was nasty and insulting to the Senators:
“The President is on trial in the Senate. But the Senate is on trial in the eyes of the American people. Will you vote to allow all of the relevant evidence to be presented here? Or will you betray your oath to be an impartial juror? Will you bring Ambassador Bolton here? Will you permit us to present you with the entire record of the President’s misconduct? Or will you instead choose to be complicit in the President’s cover-up? So far, I’m sad to say, I see a lot of senators voting for a cover-up, voting to deny witnesses. An absolutely indefensible vote. Obviously, a treacherous vote. A vote against an honest consideration of the evidence against the President. A vote against an honest trial. A vote against the United States. A real trial we know has witnesses. We urge you to do your duty, permit a fair trial. All the witnesses must be permitted. That’s elementary in American justice. Either you want the truth or you, and you must permit the witnesses or you want a shameful cover-up. History will judge and so will the electorate.”
Nadler was attacking Republicans, like Romney, Collins, Gardner and Murkowski whose votes he and the Democrats will need later when votes are held after opening arguments next week for witnesses and evidence.

A video released on Tuesday by Project Veritas reveals a man identified as Martin Weissgerber, a paid field organizer for the Sanders presidential campaign in South Carolina, fantasizing about sending Republicans to “reeducation camps” and Sanders dissolving the Senate and House of Representatives should he become president.
“Do we just cease — do we just dissolve the Senate, House of Representatives, the judicial branch, and have someone like Bernie Sanders and a cabinet of people make all the decisions on climate? I mean, I’m serious,” the staffer says when talking about how Sanders could tackle climate change as president.
He also says he wants Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham sent to “reeducation camps.”
“What will help is when we send all the Republicans to the reeducation camps,” he says. “Can you imagine Mitch McConnell? Lindsey Graham?”
At another point in the hidden camera footage, the staffer says he’s prepared for a revolution that requires armed resistance and even calls to“guillotine the rich.” He did comment that Sanders does not share his views that are more far left.
With this being the second Sanders staffer to be caught on camera spouting extremist ideas — the first said “cities will burn” if Bernie loses and Trump is reelected — conservative pundits are questioning whether there is an issue within the ranks of the Vermont senator that he needs to address.
‘Cities will burn!’ If Sanders loses, how many Bernie Bros will entertain radical fantasies?

“Another Bernie Sanders staffer has been caught on camera saying he’d gladly use violence to take over our government and kill people for socialism. Let me guess, this isn’t ‘real socialism’ either…even though this is how it always turns out?” actress and outspoken conservative Mindy Robinson tweeted.
Reporter Andy Ngo took a look at the staffer’s social media pages and found that he lives what appears to be quite a luxurious lifestyle and is also a rapper on Soundcloud who goes by the name King Manic.

The staffer later did a total lockdown of his social media, including deleting his Twitter account.
