Why does the Media care about a Christmas Party. They donât Celebrate Christmas.

The Farm Workforce Modernization Act passed by 260 votes to 165, receiving 34 votes from Republicans. Three Democrats voted no.
The bill creates a process for illegals to apply for legal residency in the United States on the basis of their employment in the agricultural sector. Individuals who have worked in the industry for six months in the past two years will be able to apply for residency, should the legislation be signed into law.
The billâs supporters claim it is necessary in order to solve a supposed labor shortage affecting the American agricultural industry and lowering the profit margins of business owners. However, they ignore that many farmers would be able to hire American workers if they were willing to pay better wages.
More than a million illegals would be eligible for residency and eventually a path to citizenship under the lawâs rules.
The illegals that are often employed in Californiaâs agricultural industry are willing to work in uncomfortable conditions for wages that are far lower than what Americans would typically be willing to work for. Bureau of Labor statistics reveal that the median hourly wage in the agricultural industry in 2014 was a paltry $10.55, hardly a wage that Americans can afford to live on.
Itâs no surprise that entrenched corporate interests are hoping to bend the rules of the American immigration system in order to get more cheap labor. Lobby groups for Big Agriculture closely pushed the bill.
One Republican supporter of the Amnesty legislation even took the opportunity to take a shot at American workers upon its House passage, falsely claiming that Americans simply want to stay at home and play Xbox all day instead of working arduous jobs.
The legislation now goes to the Senate. Itâs unclear if itâll be taken up by Senate Majority Leader, who has a mixed record on opposing amnesty legislation and cheap labor giveaways for big corporations.

While Greta claims her âdreams and childhoodâ have been stolen, all while âliving the dreamâ Stepbrothers-style by sailing the world, itâs worth mentioning that many of the Hong Kong activists are protesting because theyâre young adults who canât afford to start their own families due to Hong Kongâs real estate prices which completely dwarf that of the Bay Area.
In short, theyâve been protesting for months because they have nothing to lose.
And, as far as Trump Jr. calling Greta a âmarketing gimmick,â itâs also worth noting that, unlike the Hong Kong activists, she hasnât been protesting China despite it being one of the worldâs largest polluters in a variety of metrics.
Itâs also curious as to why she wonât protest China given that Greta and her fellow activists admitted that âclimate crisisâ activism is ânot just about the environmentâ but is intended to dismantle âcolonial, racist, and patriarchal systems of oppression.â
China has long been accused of being one of the largest human rights abusers in the world.

In autumn 2014, readers of American Superhero comics came across something a bit different. The first issue of Marvelâs The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl saw an established character strangely changed from a cute and sassy young woman into an awkwardly shaped, goofwho cracked unfunny gags about pop culture. She was, bluntly, ugly â deliberately badly proportioned and drawn in a casual âindieâ fashion. The book was aimed at hipsters, not Marvel fans.
Readers didnât take to the character because it looked an ironic in-joke. It became a flagship âdiversityâ book for Marvel.
Marvel Comics were âlooking to be politically correctâ. Other changes soon became apparent at Marvel Comics. Established characters changed race or sex; female characters became unfeminine; male characters became less heroic; and the number of gay characters increased dramatically. More and more traditional characters were changed for political reasons.
Newcomers arriving directly from the movies were baffled to find that the Hulk was Korean-American and Iron Man was a teen black girl. Recent years have also seen an Afro-Latin Spider-Man, a female Muslim Ms Marvel, and a black Captain America.
The drive to âdiversifyâ comics was strange as American comics were already diverse; comic-book readers had always accepted new characters with good stories.
What made matters worse was that new writers seemed to have little ability to write American superhero comics, a genre with specific traditions and rules. In order to appeal to a new readership, Marvel Comics hired female authors of young adult fiction whose main subjects were human interest and slice-of-life drama â not very compatible with the hero mythos, action and thriller stories.
Some writers made no effort to conform to expectations. The current James Bond comic (published by Dark Horse) is written by Vita Ayala and Danny Lore, two black women who have focused their story on a black female character.
Fans resented the blatant alteration of history by newcomer writers and editors who believed they were more virtuous than the fans. Meanwhile, all criticism of the new authors was dismissed out of hand.
The new writers and their corporate backers accused critics of bigotry and hatred. Creators abused fans and told them âthis book wasnât written for youâ and âI donât want your moneyâ. There was glee about upsetting devoted fans by despoiling beloved characters. Marvel Comics and DC to give work to freelance creators who were actively driving away potential customers.
New creators alienated regular fans while not significantly increasing consumption by women, younger readers and non-white audiences. A war between comic-book publishers and fans had begun.
By 2017, long-time readers had become bored of masculine women acting like men, men being weak and stupid, and ordinary white Americans being portrayed as dumb racists. They were depressed by the absence of heterosexual relationships between characters. They resented the Mary Sues (tokenistic, overpowered characters who have no flaws and face no real peril) being used for purposes of representation. They disliked new heroes who moped around or acted like petulant bullies.
Readers simply had had enough.
On a daily basis I read websites and watch videos where fans reject political correctness and the disrespect of professionals. Eventually, these disparate voices formed a loose alliance called ComicsGate, critiquing bad comics and creating communities in video comment sections. In my book Culture War: Art, Identity Politics and Cultural Entryism I documented the rise of independent creators and readers who wanted traditional apolitical adventures.
In an industry dominated by a few major publishers, a single distributor and a limited (and contracting) network of specialist retailers, politics has destroyed producer-consumer rapport and long-term trust. The narcissism of political activists in firms, lack of management oversight and predatory practices have decimated the American superhero comic industry at a time when its characters are more famous than ever.
But the future of comics could be the independent creators within the ComicsGate movement.
Prominent creators who believed that they had been unofficially blacklisted by their firms (including Mitch Breitweiser, Jon Malin, Doug TenNapel and Ethan van Sciver) decided to publish politics-free adventure books independently. Using the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, they sold their apolitical comic books. Van Sciverâs book CyberFrog Bloodhoney raised more than $950,000. Campaigns by ComicsGate creators have generated more than $2 million in a year despite being frozen out of media coverage.
And they have also had to face industry obstacles.
When Richard Meyer (who makes video critiques like Comics Matters w/ Ya Boi Zack) tried to publish his action-hero comic Jawbreakers with Antarctic Press, the project was abruptly called off. Meyer claims that the deal was interfered with by Mark Waid, prominent writer and public opponent of ComicsGate. Meyer is suing Waid for compensation in ongoing litigation.
The boom in crowdfunding projects has opened doors to new creators, including Clint Stoker, who runs the YouTube channel Sweetcast. Building a rapport with viewers through regular videos, Stokerâs first book, Downcast, earned $31,667. I asked him if ComicsGate had changed the landscape for newcomers.
He said:Â âYes! I had a lot of opportunities because of CG. There is a lot of excitement around Indie comics in CG. I benefit from networking and getting backers to give my book a shot.â
Asked what ComicsGate should mean to an outsider, Stoker replies âLet the books speak for themselves!â
Can Stoker and others challenge the primacy of the industry giants? As long as people want to read classic stories of heroism, and Marvel and DC refuse them to the public, they have every chance.

Journalist Brandon Brown explained in a post last week on Twitter that he went to cover a Nazi Hammerskins rally that turned out to be a hoax. Without any Nazis around to attack, ANTIFA turned their ire toward Brown and roughed him up instead.

In his GoFundMe page, Brown explained that he showed up at the protest alongside members of âPortlandâs Liberation,â a pro-LGBT libertarian group. ANTIFA began attacking members of Portlandâs Liberation, which had shown up to protest the Nazis as well. As Brown was filming their rampage, he was assaulted by the domestic terrorists.
âAs I filmed this menacing behavior, ANTIFA protesters aggressively turned on me. One of my cameras was knocked to the ground by the angry mob. I was struck by approximately 20 different people before they were able to break the Go Pro mount I was holding on to and wrestle my Lytro illum out of my hands eventually breaking the strap that was wrapped around my wrist,â Brown wrote.
âThey smashed my glasses and caused injury to my left eye, requiring a hospital visit. The diagnosis is that the vitreous of my left eye is detached deformed and appears granular from trauma. It will require follow up care,â added Brown, who is hoping to raise $5,000 to replace his equipment.
Video of the terrorist assault can be seen here:
Unfortunately for Brown, he should not expect much support from Portland police in finding the perpetrators. They are in the back pocket of ANTIFA, due to orders from the cityâs complicit Mayor Ted Wheeler.
Wheeler has gone to war with Portland law enforcement leaders because of his unwillingness to keep the public safety due to his far-left views.
âHe crossed a line when he publicly stated in a Facebook message that I was not allowing the police to enforce the law, that gave license to people elsewhere, particularly in right-wing political circles, but, as I say, this became a global phenomenon,â Wheeler said about police union president Daryl Turner.
Turner had hammered Wheeler for an alleged stand-down order that he sent to Portland police so ANTIFA could run the streets during violent protests over the summer.
âItâs time for our Mayor to do two things,â Turner wrote in an open letter directed at Wheeler. âTell both ANTIFA and Proud Boys that our City will not accept violence in our City and remove the handcuffs from our officers and let them stop the violence through strong and swift enforcement action. Enough is enough.â
âWhere are the voices condemning the lawlessness and violence? If this violence had been directed at ANTIFA, there would have been an immediate call for an independent, outside investigation,â Turner wrote. âThis is a perfect example of Portland politics at work and why our great City is now under fire in the national news.â
Portland has become a national laughingstock because of the cityâs derelict far-left leadership. Only after ANTIFA is declared a terrorist group and federal resources can be used to crush the reviled organization will cities like Portland have law and order once again.

Byrne highlighted that the burden of paying for the education of more than 1.5 million legal and illegal immigrants coming into the country annually is shouldered by American citizens.
âIn 2016, the Pew Research Center estimated that 3.9 million â or 7.3% â of kindergarten through 12th grade students in the United States were either here illegally or were the children of at least one parent illegally present in the United States,â Byrne stated. âCan anyone tell me how much we spend on public education for that population of students? Itâs around $60 billion.â
The Republican congressman detailed that while the federal government requires English as a Second Language (ESL) programs for approximately 9.6 percent of American students who have Limited English Proficiency (LEP), state and local governments must bear the majority of the costs.
âWhat percentage of ESL programs are paid for by the federal government that requires them? Just over one percent,â Byrne declared. âWho pays for the rest? States and local school systems.â
Byrne stated:
So, we require it and we push 99 percent of the costs on state and local school systems. That costs a lot of money for these state and local school systems. Many of them, like my state of Alabama, just donât have it. But because the federal government requires it, they have to put that money in there to the detriment of other programs.
That cost is not being borne by those of us in Washington. Itâs being borne by men and women and the states and local school systems around the United States of America. But really the cost is being borne by children who are being denied the programs that they should have. Children who are citizens of the United States, whose parents are citizens of the United States, theyâre being denied programs because weâre forcing their state and local school systems to take on an expense that we should be taking on because weâve failed to enforce our own laws.
Steven Kopits conducted a study that showed the United States could have up to one million new migrant children by the November 2020 election â about 800,000 of those would need to be enrolled in local school districts.
There are steep costs to mass migration. From being a massive burden for taxpayers to its politically destabilizing effects, mass migration presents a unique threat to the United States.
The 2020 election will likely feature immigration as one of the top issues, which the Trump campaign likely recognizes given its popularity among GOP voters.

We noted in December 2017Â that Christopher Wray worked on the Enron team along side Mueller, Comey and Weissmann.
The gang that oversaw the indictment of Enronâs Chairman and CEO Kenneth Lay are all the members of todayâs crooked and criminal FBI and DOJ team â James Comey, Robert Mueller, Andrew Weissmann and Christopher WrayÂ
On Monday, after the release of the DOJ IG report on the Obama FBI spying on the Trump campaign, FBI Director told NBC News that he did not think the Trump campaign was unfairly targeted by the FBI.
Chris Wray: âWhen the FBI opens an investigation it does so with proper predication, with proper authorization based on the law and the facts and nothing else.â

Here is a link to the full report.
The report revealed what we knew to be true all along â the FBI defrauded the FISA court and purposely omitted exculpatory information from the FISA judges in order to obtain FOUR FISA warrants on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.
IG Horowitz, an Obama-appointee however, concluded that the FBI investigation into Trump was justified and not politically motivated.
For the first time in history a sitting US president was caught sending in operatives to spy on the opposition campaign.
This is IMPOSSIBLE without BIAS!

There were 17 significant inaccuracies and omissions in the FISA report. Seven occurred in the first FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page and another ten were identified by the DOG IG in subsequent reports.
Here is the list of initial seven issues identified in the first FISA application (paraphrased) â
1. Omitted information that Carter Page worked for another government agency â the only agency that they talk of in this manner is the CIA.
2. Provided a statement on Christopher Steele that overstated his past and needed to be ran by Steeleâs agent per the law but it wasnât.
3. Omitted information from Steeleâs source who was known as a âboasterâ and âembellisherâ.
4. Lied and stated that Steele did not provide an article to Yahoo News when he had and they knew it.
5. Omitted that Papadopoulos had stated that nobody in Trump campaign had collaborated with Russia.
6. Omitted Pageâs words that he never met or worked with Manafort which was in contrast to report claiming they were working on a conspiracy with Russia.
7. Claimed Page was an agent of Russia but omitted statements that Page made that contradicted this assertion.
Here are the remaining ten issues that were associated with renewal applications (paraphrased) â
8. Omitted the fact that Steeleâs primary sub source had made allegations that raised significant concerns with the reliability of his information used by Steele.
9. Omitted Pages prior relationship with another government agency and an OGC Attorney altered an email from Carter Page that stated that Page was a source to then say Page was not a source.
10. Omitted information that Steele had done things like âpursued people with political riskâ, âdidnât always use the best judgementâ, etcâŚ
11. Omitted information from Bruce Ohr that Steele was paid by the Clinton campaign and Simpson was paying Steele and Steele was desperate not to see Trump get electedâ.
12. Failed to update information that Simpson was hired by the Democrat Party and/or DNC.
13. Failed to correct assertion in FISA application that Steele did not give information to Yahoo.
14. Omitted the finding that Steele was suitable for continued operation based on information that his dossier was minimally corroborated.
15. Omitted Papadopolous information to that Trump campaign was not involved in DNC email hack.
16. Omitted Joseph Mifsudâs denials that he supplied information to Papadopoulos that suggested Trump campaign received information from Russia.
17. Omitted information that Page played no role in the Republican platform change on Russiaâs annexation of Ukraine as alleged in the report.
