Media and politicians didn’t care about chaos the US caused in Syria for years, but now that Trump can be blamed, they’re outraged

Mainstream US media has been the biggest cheerleader for Washington’s chaos production in Syria for years, but now, as President Donald Trump pulls troops out of the northeast, they’re suddenly outraged. Spare us the crocodile tears.

“Plenty of reason here for the US possibly to become involved,” pleaded a horrified MSNBC correspondent this week, chastising Trump for ignoring “war crimes” and “human rights abuses” by Turkish forces.

Yet, while he and others cloak their demands for continued US military action in humanitarian concern for the Kurds in the face of Ankara’s onslaught, there is a more selfish reason for the media outrage. They are profoundly addicted to the bogus narrative of the US as the world’s savior, and worse, they crave the kind of dramatic TV footage and tales of military heroism that US forever wars offer. If that sounds a bit too cynical, recall MSNBC anchor Brian Williams close to weeping as he shared the “beautiful pictures” of American missiles raining down on Syria two years ago.

The pleas for fresh US intervention also reveal a hyper-focus on Washington’s “image” in the eyes of the world. The media has been bleating for days about how Trump’s actions will be perceived by its allies and enemies, but who is going to break it to them that their “image” is not quite what they think it is?

Successive US administrations have pursued policies of chaos and disarray in Syria for years; first covertly attempting to sow social discontent to spur and exploit a popular uprising, then by funding, training, and backing jihadist militias (Al Qaeda, included) against Bashar Assad’s army, and prioritizing the fall of his secular government over peace for the better part of a decade.

Couple that with Washington’s continued facilitation of slaughter in Yemen, its penchant for economically choking uncooperative nations with punitive and deadly sanctions and its psychological warfare of constant threats of violence against Iran, and one wonders exactly what kind of benevolent do-gooder image there is left to salvage.

This uniquely American obsession with image on the world stage was on display during CNN’s Tuesday night Democratic presidential debate, too. The perpetually grandstanding Cory Booker claimed Trump had turned America’s “moral leadership” into a “dumpster fire,” while Pete Buttigieg lamented the president’s betrayal of American “values” that left the country’s reputation and credibility “in tatters.”

Joe Biden, who as Obama’s former VP, shares plenty of the blame for the state of Syria today, called Trump’s pullout from northern Syria “the most shameful thing that any president has done in modern history” in terms of foreign policy. Iraqis might disagree with that statement, but remember, all pre-Trump foreign policy disasters have been conveniently flushed down the memory hole and their perpetrators rehabilitated for the purposes of comparison with the evil Orange Man.

The hand-wringing over America’s image betrays a deeply delusional but long-ingrained belief that the world at large sees the US military as a force for good. In reality, worldwide polls have shown that the US is actually regarded as the greatest threat to world peace, not — as news anchors and Washington politicians would have you believe — a facilitator of world peace.

Tulsi Gabbard was the only candidate on the Ohio debate stage willing to call a spade a spade, describing the chaos in northeast Syria as “another negative consequence” of US involvement in the region.

“Donald Trump has the blood of the Kurds on his hands, but so do many of the politicians in our country, from both parties, who have supported this ongoing regime change war in Syria, along with many in the mainstream media, who have been championing and cheerleading” it, she continued.

She slammed the US’s “draconian sanctions” on Syria, describing them as “a modern-day siege the likes of which we are seeing Saudi Arabia wage against Yemen” and promised that if she was the president, she would end support for Al Qaeda in Syria, which she said had been the US’s “groundforce” in the war.

Cue the gasps all around.

Gabbard’s insistence on forcing a reckoning with the reality of US policy in Syria makes her presence on the debate stage so necessary, but predictably her input, while entirely truthful, was met with spineless attacks in the same vein as those she has been subjected to from mainstream media for months, culminating recently with a McCarthyist hit-piece published by the New York Times implying that she is a Russian asset.

Reaction to Gabbard from journalists watching on social media was just as fierce. MSNBC’s Clint Watts called the notion of US support for Al Qaeda a “falsehood” that needed challenging. Watts, it turns out, part-authored a 2014 piece for Foreign Affairs about Ahrar al-Sham, an Al Qaeda-linked group “worth befriending.” Another reporter called Gabbard’s claims about the US arming Al Qaeda a “Russian talking point.” Investigative journalist Max Blumenthal quickly responded with a photograph of Al Qaeda firing a US-supplied TOW missile in Aleppo.

But to the regime change fanatics and war cheerleaders, these facts don’t seem to carry much weight. Narrative has always been more important.

Globalist Warmonger George Bush Slams Trump’s “Isolationist” Foreign Policy

Apparently, the Iraq War architect thinks his views need to be heard by the public.

Iraq War architect and former U.S President George Bush slammed President Trump’s moves to get the United States untangled from endless and distant foreign wars when speaking alongside Bill Clinton at the Nir School of the Heart.

Bush’s words come days after the political establishment has erupted in rage over President Trump’s decision to remove around 1,000 U.S service members from Syria’s Civil War.

The member of the political dynasty said that “an isolationist United States is destabilizing around the world. We are becoming isolationist and that’s dangerous for the sake of peace.”

For many Americans, it’s frankly rich to hear the widely unpopular and disliked former President attack one of his successors for a foreign policy of restraint. As President, George Bush initiated one of the worst foreign policy disasters in the history of the United States, invading Iraq on the false premise of a nuclear program that the country didn’t actually have.

Millions died as a result of Bush’s colossal blunder, and the Middle East remains destabilized to this day, in part because of the invasion that removed dictator Saddam Hussein from power. Thousands of American military personnel were killed or injured in the war, and countless more continue to suffer from post-traumatic stress. Many Iraq War veterans have committed suicide.

George Bush claimed he was obeying an unwritten rule during the presidency of Barack Obama by declining to criticize him. That rule flew out of the window almost immediately during Trump’s presidency, with the former President tacitly and explicitly criticizing Trump from almost the beginning of his presidency.

It may come as a relief for the family-dynasty former President to see his image rehabilitated by elite liberals with a short memory hoping to align with the well-entrenched neoconservative element in the federal bureaucracy he represents.

Dan ‘McCain 2.0’ Crenshaw Joins Democrats to Condemn President Trump’s Troop Pullback in Syria

Crenshaw shows yet again how he is not America First.

By Shane Trejo

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has become a rising star as a freshman Congressman after being promoted relentlessly by the GOP establishment and fake news media, including NBC’s Saturday Night Live.

Unfortunately, he has emerged as one of President Donald Trump’s biggest intra-party foes in the U.S. House. Crenshaw showed his true colors yet again when he voted in favor of a resolution condemning President Trump’s pullback of troops in Northern Syria on Wednesday.

Crenshaw joined 225 Democrats to approve H.J. Res 77, a measure introduced by Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) in order to rebuke the President’s “America First” foreign policy, which endorses a permanent occupation of the Middle East by U.S. forces.

The resolution reads in part:

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Congress—

(1) opposes the decision to end certain United States efforts to prevent Turkish military operations against Syrian Kurdish forces in Northeast Syria;

(2) calls on Turkish President Erdogan to immediately cease unilateral military action in Northeast Syria and to respect existing agreements relating to Syria;

(3) calls on the United States to continue supporting Syrian Kurdish communities through humanitarian support, including to those displaced or otherwise affected by ongoing violence in Syria;

(4) calls on the United States to work to ensure that the Turkish military acts with restraint and respects existing agreements relating to Syria; and

(5) calls on the White House to present a clear and specific plan for the enduring defeat of ISIS.

Crenshaw has been a frequent critic of President Trump’s foreign policy, so much so that he has been dubbed McCain 2.0 for his incessant warmongering. He has penned several op/eds in the mainstream media endorsing a Bush-era foreign policy.

“These troops are not victims. They are volunteer soldiers, part of America’s warrior class, who believe in what they are fighting for. They have seen the true nature of this enemy and know it cannot be wooed into submission by simply leaving it alone,” Crenshaw wrote in a Wall Street Journal op/ed published in February.

“In truth, mission success in the Middle East means preventing another 9/11. America’s troops risk everything to take the fight to the enemy so that the enemy cannot bring the fight here,” Crenshaw added.

Crenshaw’s words are in direct odds of President Trump and his non-interventionist foreign policy. He campaigned against Bush-era foreign policy, particularly the Iraq War. The President was put into the White House to prevent endless wars.

H.J. Res 77 was ultimately approved in the House by a 354-60 vote, with only President Trump’s most loyal Republican allies in Congress voting against it.

IN WAKE OF ASSAULTS ON TRUMP SUPPORTERS AT MN RALLY, MEDIA FRET WHETHER SOMALIS FEEL ‘WELCOME’

In Wake Of Assaults On Trump Supporters At MN Rally, Media Fret Whether Somalis Feel 'Welcome'

Whether Trump supporters were made to feel “welcome” wasn’t a question the Star Tribune felt was worth asking

Chris Menahan | Information Liberation – OCTOBER 15, 2019

A host of Trump supporters were violently assaulted by antifa mobs on Thursday night but Minnesota’s largest newspaper’s main concern is whether President Trump’s visit made Somali refugees feel “welcome.”

“Trump supporters are literally fleeing the event after it ended as protestors are waiting around attacking attendees as they leave the arena,” Blaze TV’s Elijah Schaffer commented after capturing one of the mob’s assaults on film. “It is not safe in Minneapolis any longer for Trump supporters.”

Additional video showed Trump supporters being sucker-punched and spit on in the streets.

The Star Tribune chose to either brush over or ignore these assaults.

Whether Trump supporters were made to feel “welcome” wasn’t a question the Star Tribune felt was worth asking, but whether Trump made Somali refugees feel “welcome” is a question they’ve asked twice now in three days.

From the Star Tribune, Oct 12, “Somali-Minnesotans wonder about their welcome after Trump’s speech”:

By Faiza Mahamud and Jessie Van Berkel

Abubakar Abdi skipped his usual after-work stop to visit friends at the local Somali mall on Thursday, heading to his Minneapolis home instead to catch President Donald Trump’s speech.

As he watched, the 22-year-old IT specialist said he was taken aback by the loud boos at the packed campaign rally when Trump mentioned Somalis.

“As you know, for many years, leaders in Washington brought large numbers of refugees to your state from Somalia without considering the impact on schools and communities and taxpayers,” Trump said at the rally. “I promise you that as president, I would give local communities a greater say in refugee policy and put in place enhanced vetting and responsible immigration control, and I’ve done that since coming into office.”

Abdi, born and raised in Minnesota, said the president’s words and the crowd’s reaction left him wondering: “What if my former classmates were among the ones booing? What if it was my former teachers booing?”

“I didn’t know we were hated like that,” he said. “Donald Trump is one man, but what scares me is the amount of support he has.”

Minnesota is home to the nation’s largest Somali population, numbering 57,000 in the latest census, though the current number is believed to be higher. Trump’s remarks about refugee resettlement and about U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, whom he called “a disgrace to our country” during his speech, stung and angered many Somali-Minnesotans, with some using words such as “dangerous,” “disgusting,” and “racist.”

[…] Trump’s visit also spurred anxiety and fear for many Somalis here.

The nation’s largest Muslim civil rights group and local Somali-elected leaders were sounding the alarm about the long-term implications of Trump’s visit, suggesting it could spark a fresh surge in hate crimes in Minnesota — home to the nation’s largest Somali community.

“We’re also definitely concerned about his anti-Muslim and anti-Somali language,” said Jaylani Hussein, who leads the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which had urged Muslim-Americans to join protests Thursday.

[…] State Rep. Mohamud Noor, DFL-Minneapolis, said it’s one thing dealing with Trump’s anti-Somali slurs and his hateful posts on social media about immigrants and refugees. But his visit to Minneapolis struck fear close to home, Noor said.

[…] State Rep. Hodan Hassan, DFL-Minneapolis, said she opposed Trump’s visit, asserting that it could have negative blowback on the community.

Hassan and Noor, both Somalis, said they had been going around the community to ease people’s fears. The two now plan to hold community conversations.

“Trump, his hate and his bigotry is not welcome in Minnesota,” Hassan said. “The Somali community here is strong. We know who we are, we know we are a valuable community here and we just want to make sure everyone is safe and protected.”

To address the fear and anxiety in the community, Minnesota Somali leaders said they are working with the FBI, have hired armed security guards to patrol Somali-owned businesses and are urging people to stay vigilant, particularly Muslim women who wear a hijab.

You gotta love how they explicitly say Trump is not welcome.

The Star Tribune publishes nearly this same exact article over and over and over again (and always in the wake of Somali terrorist attacks). Meanwhile, mob assaults carried out by Somalis and antifa rioters assaulting Trump supporters in the streets barely merit a mention.

‘ISLAM IS RIGHT ABOUT WOMEN’ SIGNS APPEAR IN AUSTIN, TEXAS

'Islam is Right About Women' Signs Appear in Austin, Texas

Progressives still confused about who to be offended on behalf of.

  – OCTOBER 14, 2019

Having appeared in numerous cities all over the world last month, signs that read “Islam is right about women” have now been seen in Austin, Texas.

An image of the sign was posted on The Donald subreddit with the caption, “Which of you beautiful bastards plastered these all over SW Austin last night? My next door app is blowing up with confusion. Absolutely hilarious.”

The posters previously appeared in Winchester, Massachusetts, causing a mini moral panic and the police to be called in to investigate.

They also popped up in Limerick, Ireland, prompting a local councillor to assert that the signs were intended to “incite hate” towards “either women or Muslims” (she wasn’t sure who).

null

The meme is a 4chan troll designed to confuse muddled leftists who attempt to support Islam and women’s rights at the same time without realizing how the two contradict each other.

What makes the meme funny is that leftists routinely react with outrage, but don’t know quite who to be outraged on behalf of.

If they find the message offensive, they can be accused of being bigoted towards Muslims.

However, if they don’t sufficiently explain why they are offended, they can be accused of being hateful towards women, given how some women are treated as second class citizens in Islamic societies.

“The result is that those who attempt to explain why the act is offensive end up simply tying themselves in knots, while revealing that they have never given a moment’s thought to the position they find themselves defending,” writes Alla Al-Ameri.

“This seems to generate even more anger, with the inevitable online mob quickly joined by politicians, journalists and other public figures, eager to see that the heretic is made an example of.”

Islamic Convert Kills Four Colleagues in Rampage at Paris Police HQ – Report

CAP

By Dan Lyman – Oct 4, 2019

At least four people were killed and more wounded at a Paris police headquarters when a colleague who had recently converted to Islam embarked on a brutal knife rampage, according to reports.

Three officers and an administrative employee were slain by a 45-year-old IT worker on Thursday, French officials say.

A police union spokesman claims the suspect had suffered “a moment of madness,” and other authorities have blamed a possible “grievance with his managers.”

However, BFMTV cites sources alleging the man had converted to Islam roughly 18 months ago.

“Aged 45, the alleged perpetrator of the knife attack that killed four people at the Paris Police Prefecture had converted to Islam 18 months ago, according to our information,” BFMTV reports. “The reasons for his murderous act are not known for the moment.”

The suspect was shot dead during the attack by a rookie officer who had only been stationed for four months.

“For a young colleague, not very experienced, fresh out of school who must make use of his weapon over a colleague, the psychological impact must be immense,” said Nicolas Pucheu, a police union spokesman. “I think it will take a lot, a lot of time to recover from his emotions.”

The alleged perpetrator’s wife has been taken into custody.

Prominent political leader and anti-Islamization figurehead Marine Le Pen has called on prosecutors to disclose the suspect’s possible motives quickly and clearly to the public.

CAP

“In order to avoid inevitable rumors, the government and the prosecutor’s office must promptly inform the French about the elements available to them regarding the profile and motivations of the murderer who killed three police officers and an administrative officer at the police station,” Le Pen wrote on social media.

The attack comes just a day after a Paris police “anger march” in protest of poor pay, long hours, and conditions that have led to a rash of officer suicides.

Stabbing attack at Paris police HQ: What is known

CAP

A knife-wielding assailant killed four French officers inside police headquarters in Paris before being shot dead by a first responder. Here is what is known about the attack that put France’s capital on high alert.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The perpetrator entered the Paris police headquarters shortly before 13:00 local time (11:00 GMT). He carried a ceramic knife with him, which wasn’t picked up by the metal detectors. The man swiftly made his way into one of the offices where he engaged in an argument with a policeman. At some point during the quarrel, he got his long-blade knife out and stabbed his interlocutor and others around him. Four officers, three men and a woman, suffered mortal wounds in the attack, authorities announced.

The suspect was only stopped when another policeman shot him dead with an automatic rifle.

CAP

WHO WAS THE ATTACKER?

The attacker was described as a staffer at the police headquarters, who had worked there for around 20 years and had never caused any problems. The man was said to be an administrator in the intelligence unit. He had all the security clearances, which allowed him to enter the police HQ without causing any suspicions and roam freely around the building.

The person reportedly converted to Islam months before the incident, but this is yet officially to be confirmed.

THE MOTIVE BEHIND THE STABBING

The motive for the attack isn’t yet clear, but police union leader Jean-Marc Bailleul said that it was likely a criminal rather than a terrorist incident. “It was a moment of madness,” Bailleul told BFM TV. Another police official told Franceinfo radio that there were “tensions” between the attacker and his direct supervisor, who may have been among the victims.

CAP

WHERE DID IT HAPPEN?

The Paris police headquarters occupy a historic building on Ile de la Cite, a natural island in the Seine River in the very heart of the French capital. The HQ is located just a few buildings away from the iconic Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral and other well-known historical landmarks.

On the Two Year Anniversary of the Las Vegas Shooting, There Are Still No Answers

This is one of the biggest cover-ups in American history.

By Shane Trejo

It is the two-year anniversary of the Las Vegas shooting today, allegedly perpetrated by lone gunman Stephen Paddock, and there has been no evidence produced publicly to validate the official story.

58 people were murdered in the slaughter, with an additional 900 being injured as a result of the attack, which allegedly happened from the Mandalay Bay hotel to the Route 91 Harvest music festival on October 1, 2017. Investigators would give no motive for Paddock’s actions and withhold the video evidence from public scrutiny.

A former high-level law enforcement official told Big League Politics last year that it was possibly a joint ANTIFA-ISIS terrorist attack. With the way the feds are known to protect ANTIFA from consequences from their violent actions, it is not a far-fetched notion.

Big League Politics spoke with a former high-level law enforcement official who says that the Las Vegas massacre could plausibly have been a joint operation between Antifa and ISIS.

“In short, in my experience it is most likely this was an ISIS operation and the evidence strongly points that way,” said a former FBI counter-terrorism agent. “Authorities have no alternative line of investigation. The most frightening possibility is that this was a joint ISIS-Antifa operation.”

It is becoming apparent that hard left organizations like Antifa are cozying up to radical Islamic groups, according to the FBI and multiple other sources.

“There is clearly overwhelming evidence that there are growing ties between U.S. radicals and the Islamic State, as well as several ISIS offshoots and splinter groups,”said an FBI field report delivered to former Acting Director Andrew McCabe on July 11, 2017.

The connection between leftist groups like ANTIFA and Islamic jihadists was first exposed by Edward Klein in his book “All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump.”

Last summer, the FBI sent a task force to Hamburg, Germany during the G20 summit where President Donald J. Trump spoke. The law enforcement group tracked leftist rioters like Antifaschistische Aktion, an Antifa affiliate, and made a shocking discovery.

“The task force covered G20 meeting in Hamburg, studied intel from local authorities, Interpol, and other assets, determined that as assumed U.S.-backed anarchist/radical groups had traveled to Germany and took place in the violence,” the FBI’s summary said. “There is also evidence of meetings between these individuals and associates of ISIS. There is an urgent need to closely surveil the identified individuals.”

MASKED ANTIFA RADICAL WHO HARASSED ELDERLY LADY IS A SYRIAN MIGRANT

Masked Antifa Radical Who Harassed Elderly Lady is a Syrian Migrant

Man identified as Alaa Soufi DaLua.

 |  OCTOBER 2, 2019

One of the masked Antifa radicals who harassed an elderly lady with a rolling walker during a protest in Hamilton, Ontario is Syrian migrant Alaa Soufi DaLua.

As we previously highlighted, the old woman was confronted as she tried to cross the road by a group of Antifa members who proceeded to yell “Nazi scum!” in her face.

The incident occurred during a demonstration outside Mohawk College against right-wing politician Maxime Bernier.

One of the culprits has now been identified.

“Intelligence group @EXEINTEL reports that one of the masked antifa militants who harassed the elderly woman with the walker is Alaa Soufi DaLua. I can confirm that I independently verified this as well. DeLua is a Syrian man who settled in Canada,” tweeted journalist Andy Ngo.

DaLua was able to be identified because he was pictured in a separate photo wearing the same distinctive orange t-shirt.

The idiot should have kept his mask on.

Meanwhile, the elderly lady he harassed has appeared in a video in which she asserts, “free speech is the cornerstone of our democracy and it can never and will never be denied.”

Finland college attack that killed 1 and injured 10: What we know so far

The Finnish city of Kuopio was gripped by violence on Tuesday after an attacker went on a stabbing spree targeting students temporarily based at a local shopping mall. Here is what is known about the incident so far.

Location: temporary college premises

The violence erupted in the Herman shopping mall in the southern part of the city. Some of its space was temporary rented by the Savo Vocational College while its campus is under renovation. The mall gave rooms to around 600 students and 50 employees of the college.

1 killed, 10 injured

Kuopio police found one dead body when searching the mall after responding to the emergency. Eight apparent victims of the attacker were also found and sent to local hospitals.

The suspected perpetrator was injured after police used firearms to apprehend the assailant. An officer recieved a minor injury as well. Two people were reported to be in critical condition.

Suspect was student, Finnish national with no criminal record

The police identified the suspect as a student of the college, born in 1994, with no criminal record. He is a Finnish citizen. The police are yet to determine what motivated him to attack fellow students.

Sword attack and fire

The man used a long-bladed weapon to cut his victims, police said, confirming accounts of witnesses, who said a sword was involved. He also had a firearm on him, the police said, but it’s not clear whether he used it or not. He may also be responsible for a small fire at the second floor of the mall, which was quickly extinguished.
