Trump was asked about the accusation that Omarâs husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, was also her brother during a scrum with reporters last Wednesday and said he had heard talk that she married her brother but knew ânothing about it.â
National media had largely kept away from judging the merits of the accusation that she was related to her second husband, which have circulated since her entry into politics in 2016, but after Trumpâs comment many came to quick conclusions. CNNâs Jim Acosta jumped in immediately to criticize Trump for diving in on âdisgusting lies.â The Daily Beastâs Will Sommer published a lengthy piece on Friday that did little to nothing to debunk what he calls a âbaseless smear.â

Tlaibâs pledge comes after the president has repeatedly challenged the Michigan lawmaker and fellow âSquadâ members â Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) â to leave the United States over their frequent attacks on the country.
âWe need bold action, folks. I know whatâs happening out there⌠itâs beyond just the four of us,â Tlaib told the crowd. âThe squad is all of you. I can tell you, you are all the squad, trust me. If you support equity, you support justice, you are one of us.â
Tlaib, the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress, infamously called for President Trump to be removed just hours after being sworn as a House member earlier this year, pledging to progressive activists, âweâre gonna go in there and weâre going to impeach the motherfucker.â
President Trump on Monday re-upped his criticism of Tlaib and the âSquad,â tweeting that the far-left clique is a âvery Racist group of troublemakers who are young, inexperienced, and not very smart.â
âThey are pulling the once great Democrat Party far left, and were against humanitarian aid at the BorderâŚAnd are now against ICE and Homeland Security. So bad for our Country!â he added.

Tlaib, of course, is no stranger to controversy.
The Michigan Democrat has repeatedly come under fire for uttering antisemitic statements since arriving in Washington last year, including falsely claiming Palestinians offered a âsafe havenâ for Jews fleeing the Holocaust, whitewashing Palestinian opposition to Jewish immigration and its leadershipâs collaboration with Adolf Hitler.
Despite Tlaib and Omar both denying they are antisemitic, the pair of Muslim lawmakers co-introduced a measure last week that supports the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against the Jewish state.

âAfter reading about armed #Triad thugs attacking pro-democracy protestors In #HongKong and the white supremacists/Proud Boys/Maga people embracing violence here Iâm glad to see the left arming itself. This is war,â the longtime Curb Your Enthusiasm producer declared.

Charles, a prolific producer, writer, and director, linked to a Guardian article that detailed the desires of left-wing groups, like Antifa, to take up arms in order to protect events from âother malicious and potentially armed groups.â
The far-left has largely refused to condemn the violent actions of its extremist groups like Antifa. âSquadâ member Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) failed to condemn the self-described Antifa member who attempted to firebomb a federal detention facility in Tacoma, Washington, earlier this month.
The Seattle Antifascist Action took it a step further and actively praised the attacker, calling him a âmartyrâ in a Facebook post last week.
It read:
When our good friend and comrade Willem Van Spronsen took a stand against the fascist detention center in Tacoma, he became a martyr who gave his life to the struggle against fascism. He was kind and deeply loved by many communities; we cannot let his death go unanswered. Throughout history we idolize figures like John Brown for their courage to take the ultimate stand against oppression, and today we stand strong in our support for yet another martyr in the struggle against fascism. May his death serve as a call to protest and direct action.

Last month, violent leftist protesters in Portland, Oregon, viciously attacked journalist and editor of Quilette, Andy Ngo. Ngo was hospitalized with a brain bleed. Pictures showed cuts and bruises to his face, as well as a torn earlobe.

Only three arrests were made that night.

A new video from a drone has uncovered not just one, but two underground entrances built on Jeffrey Epsteinâs Orgy Island. One entrance is below Epsteinâs bizarre temple â

Earlier this week video was posted by Rusty Shackleford of Jeffrey Epsteinâs Orgy Island in the US Virgin Islands.
Epstein was arrested last week when he entered the United States after returning from his vacation in France.
Epstein is famous for his excursions with the rich and famous to his island paradise. Author Conchita Sarnoff told Shannon Bream earlier this week that former President Bill Clinton joined Epstein 27 times on his plane and a majority of those times the flight log included several underage girls.

âRussiagateâ has maintained an iron grip on American political discourse for two years now, even after Special Counsel Robert Muellerâs report cleared President Donald Trump of conspiring with the Kremlin to steal the 2016 US election. In the media, the public has been treated to nightly conspiracy theories and bizarre connect-the-dots articles claiming to prove collusion; and lawmakers have crafted ever more draconian sanctions bills against Russia and have slotted opposition to Russia into their campaign messages.
Meanwhile, Moscow and Beijing have looked to each other, holding joint military exercises and upping their trade volume to more than $100 billion in 2018. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev recently announced plans to build a new, 2,000km-long highway linking Europe and China, while President Vladimir Putin has been mulling connecting Russiaâs Northern Sea Route with Chinaâs Maritime Silk Road, an ambitious global trade route linking China with ports in Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
The idea of closer Moscow/Beijing cooperation clearly worries the New York Timesâ editorial board. In an op-edpublished on Sunday, the board wrote that âPresident Trump is correct to try to establish a sounder relationship with Russia and peel it away from Chinaâ â itself a remarkable compliment from a paper that ran op-eds titled âDonald Trump Hates America,â and âTrump is Racist to the Boneâ in the last five days.
The board then suggested that the US could strengthen its cooperation with Russia in space exploration and Arctic cleanup â areas untainted by âRussiagateâ. In addition, new arms control treaties could be a step towards geopolitical cooperation between the two rival superpowers.
All valid and worthy points, but from the New York Times? Yes, weâre talking about the same newspaper that last year called Trump a âtreasonous traitorâ ahead of his meeting with Putin in Helsinki. Instead of seeking rapprochement then, the paper argued that Trump should âbe directing all resources at his disposal to punish Russia.âÂ
Weâre talking about the same New York Times that dubbed Trump âPutinâs Lackeyâ and released a mocking videodetailing a âlove storyâ between Trump and Putin, laden with homoerotic overtones and culminating in a tongue-locking kiss between the two leaders. Itâs funny because theyâre gay, see?
The piece surprised many, like pundit George Szamuely, who wrote that Washington has âdemonized Russia and blamed it for every problem besetting [the] US,â while the Times âhas for years berated Trump for advocating this perfectly sensible policy, at times suggesting that he was doing so only because he was Putin’s agent and a traitor to the United States.â

Bear in mind that the Timesâ editorial board does not hold the same opinions as its revolving cast of op-ed writers. Still, for a newspaper whose writers almost unanimously despise the US president, Sundayâs op-ed represents a shocking repudiation of two years of anti-Russia, anti-Trump static.
Perhaps the outlet that often voiced the ideas of the American establishment has finally realized that the âRussiagateâ horse is too long dead for another flogging? Or maybe the Times saw itâs time for a new kind of politics: the politics of Detente. Either way, the change is a surprising one.

Sandersâ campaign staffers are putting in 60 hours a week, which makes their pay equivalent to $13 dollars an hour.
However, the unionized staffers asked campaign manager Faiz Shakir to boost their pay to $15 dollars an hour to match the pay level Sanders has advocated for.
This forced Sanders to reduce the number of hours staffers work to 42 or 43 each week.
The socialist Senator was mocked for proving his own minimum wage utopia doesnât work in reality.
âFor the first time in his life, socialist Bernie Sanders practices economics and buddy the results are hilarious,â joked Stephen Miller.

âSo does this fall under the category of hypocrisy, irony, or poetic justice? All three? Canât make this stuff up,â tweeted Texas Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw.

âThe rules of economics exist, even within the campaign of a socialist!â remarked Kimberley Guilfoyle.

Despite Sanders admitting that a welfare state simply doesnât work with open borders, he still appears to believe in the sacred progressive cow of the $15 minimum wage.
Maybe this embarrassment will force him to take another look.

In 2019, Ford ran for mayor. Ammoland notes that Ford âfavors more tax money going to Chicago from the State of Illinois, and from the Federal government. He thinks there are plenty of police in Chicago, and they should have more controls on what they do.â
However, the state rep is having a change of heart on the gun issue. On WLS-AM 890, Ford told the Mancow Show that he is encouraging his constituents to arm themselves in the face of Chicagoâs growing violence. Ford specifically said:
âI think about it all the time,â Ford said of the shootings that plague his community. âThatâs why Iâm working with a concealed carry instructor and weâre going to go through the neighborhood and weâre going to encourage people to get their concealed carry license because it makes no sense for people not to have the protections that they need.â
Urban centers may be witnessing a cultural shift on gun control. Information from gun researcher John Lott and activism from groups such as Black Guns Matter are changing the discussion on gun policy. Historically, blacks have been prevented from exercising their right to bear arms through laws such as the Black Codes and Jim Crow in the South.
Now, thanks to increased gun liberalization at the state level, blacks are now applying for and obtaining concealed carry permits in record numbers.
Illinois has played a special role in the battle to restore gun rights in America. After all, it was in McDonald v. City of Chicago, where the Second Amendment was incorporated at the state and local level. From there, all levels of governmentâfederal, state, and localâhad to respect this right. The plaintiff involved in this case was Otis McDonald, a black resident of Chicago.
This call by Ford represents a small, yet important step in changing the conversation in urban centers across America. For too long, gun control policies have rendered countless law-abiding minorities defenseless against crimes. Itâs promising that a Democratic politician and former mayoral candidate recognizes the value of concealed carry.
Letâs hope this leads to a reform of Illinoisâs gun laws.
