Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Effectively Accuses Obama of Running ‘Concentration Camps’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has effectively compared President Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler, and his administration to the Third Reich.

That’s the logical consequence of her claim that detention facilities at the southern border are “concentration camps” — because the same facilities existed under Obama.

Breitbart News first broke the news in 2014 that large numbers of children were being “warehoused by authorities” after crossing the border illegally.

Few Democrats showed any concern, or criticized the Obama administration for its policies — even when photos emerged of children being detained in facilities where they had been separated from adults by chain-link fences.

Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats continue to hurl accusations of “kids in cages” at the Trump administration, but few said anything five years ago — even after the mainstream media documented the Obama administration’s policies.

Now, Ocasio-Cortez has decided that such facilities — which cannot accommodate the surge of migrants, partly because Democrats refuse to fund the Trump administration’s border security efforts adequately — are “concentration camps.” She has even used the phrase “never again,” popularly associated with the Nazi Holocaust against Jews.

And when faced with criticism, from Yad Vashem or even friendly CNN and MSNBC, she has refused to apologize.

But since Ocasio-Cortez is digging in, rejecting any criticism of her false and offensive comparison, it is perhaps fair to let her analogy run its course. She is accusing the first black president, and still the most important figure in the Democratic Party, of running “concentration camps.”

The Lyndon LaRouche fans who crashed Tea Party rallies with posters of Obama wearing a Hitler mustache were considered a lunatic fringe; AOC is apparently eager to join them.

CNN’S LEMON SAYS AIRING TRUMP RALLIES IS LIKE GIVING HITLER A PLATFORM

CNN’s Lemon Says Airing Trump Rallies Is Like Giving Hitler A Platform

Lemon argued that Trump should be censored because the Holocaust began with “little lies.”

By Steve Watson

CNN host Don Lemon declared Tuesday that news networks airing President Trump’s speeches is akin to providing a platform for Hitler to spread Nazi propaganda.

Lemon argued that Trump should be censored because the Holocaust began with “little lies.”

“Think about Hitler,” Lemon urged, following Trump’s huge rally earlier in the week.

“If you could look back in history, would you say ‘well, I’m so glad that that person was allowed a platform so that they could spread their hate, and propaganda, and lies.” He asked.

The host also called Trump a racist, claiming that the fact he has not apologised to five black men wrongly accused of rape 30 years ago proves it.

“How the president feels about the Central Park Five, that can be a life or death issue for people like me,” Lemon claimed.

Lemon’s CNN colleague Chris Cuomo said the comparison of Trump to Hitler is a step too far.

“Comparing anything to an extreme like a Hitler weakens the argument because you are now taking a guy who says things you don’t like and comparing him to a genocidal maniac,” Cuomo said.

The comparison comes amid a furor surrounding comments made by Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who compared border detention facilities to Nazi concentration camps.

Ocasio-Cortez refused to apologize for the comparison Wednesday, instead doubling down and declaring “If that makes you uncomfortable, fight the camps – not the nomenclature.”

VIDEO: NATIONAL GUARD AT MEXICO-GUATEMALA BORDER HOLD BACK SURGE OF AFRICAN MIGRANTS

VIDEO: National Guard at Mexico-Guatemala border hold back surge of African migrants

“We just have to be patient, because there is nothing we can do.”

American Mirror – JUNE 20, 2019

New video from Mexico’s border with Guatemala shows a chaotic scene as scores of officers with the Federal Police and National Guard detain dozens of African men in Tapachula.

Ruptly, an “international video news agency,” posted the video early Wednesday.

“Guards deployed at southern border after #Trump migrant deal,” the message read.

The footage shows several dozen African men, many of them shirtless, as they shouted, snapped their fingers, and waived at the camera as they sat and mulled about near a border gate, as about the same number of National Guard and Federal Police stood decked out in riot gear, including helmets and bullet-proof vests.

At least one man in the video appears to be a translator, working to relay messages from the shouting mob.

The video seemingly confirms a deal with Mexico negotiated by President Trump is working to halt the flood of illegal immigrants through Mexico into the United States, a crisis that escalated over the last year, initially with migrants from Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

More recently, a wave of thousands of African migrants have traveled to Central America to exploit the situation and America’s asylum laws.

President Trump threatened to impose a 5 percent tariff on all goods imported by Mexico if the country’s leaders didn’t do more to help curb the flow of illegal immigrants heading north, which prompted Mexican officials to send thousands of National Guard members to the country’s southern border, crack down on financial networks supporting the migrant caravans, and agree to allow migrants to wait in Mexico while seeking asylum in the U.S.

“Sad when you think about it, but Mexico right now is doing more for the United States at the Border than the Democrats in Congress!” Trump tweeted last week.

The Associated Press reported on the drastic increase in illegal immigrants crossing the U.S. border from the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Sudan, and other African countries in recent weeks.

“Officials in Texas and even Maine are scrambling to absorb the sharp increase in African migrants. They are coming to America after flying across the Atlantic Ocean to South America and then embarking on an often harrowing overland journey,” according to the news service.

“In one week, agents at the Border Patrol’s Del Rio sector stopped more than 500 African migrants found walking in separate groups along the arid land after splashing across the Rio Grande, children in tow.

“That’s more than double the total of 211 African migrants who were detained by the Border Patrol along the entire 2,000-mile U.S.-Mexico border in the 2018 fiscal year.”

Thousands of African migrants are already in the U.S. and many are on their way to Portland, Maine, where the city offers financial assistance and other support catered to Africans. Many are first bused to San Antonio, Texas, where a Swiss reporter recently confronted several to learn more about their journey. But the migrants didn’t want to discuss how they arrived at the U.S. border or who funded their trip, though the Swiss reporters said several were witnessed by aid workers counting rolls of $100 bills, The American Mirror reports.

The AP reports many fly from Africa to Ecuador or other countries that don’t require a visa, then walk for four months through South American mountains and jungles to dangerous drug trafficking routes through Central America and Mexico.

Many are now sitting at the border separating Mexico and Guatemala, where a migrant from Cameroon named Mbi Deric Ambi told the AP he and others have been waiting for weeks to get through.

Ambi said the men at the border are waiting for officials to call their name to collect a travel document, and he’s been waiting for six weeks.

“We just have to be patient,” he said, “because there is nothing we can do.”

Tucker Carlson ANNIHILATES Globalist Koch Brothers for Pushing Globalism in the GOP

The jig is up for the Koch brothers, who will be working against Trump in 2020.

By Shane Trejo

Fox News host Tucker Carlson hammered the billionaire Koch brothers on his show Wednesday night for their cosmopolitan values, their support of liberal globalist public policy, and their utter contempt for the working class of America.

Carlson mentioned that the Koch Bros are “libertarian ideologues” whose policy platform has little in common with conservatives at all, noting that their advocacy of open borders even makes socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) look conservative by comparison.

The Koch Bros and their functionaries have been lobbying relentlessly to make sure that Trump’s ‘America First’ immigration policies are undermined for the benefit of their corporate profit margins. Carlson pointed out that their efforts have sadly been very effective as the borders are “more porous than ever.”

Carlson noted that the Kochs’ lobbying has also resulted in more criminals being let back onto the streets.

He also pointed out that the Kochs lobby to cut entitlements, keep prescription drug prices higher for consumers, slash taxes for the richest one percent, and protect usurious banking practices.

The Koch Bros have even formed an alliance with progressive financier George Soros, leftist thought-control groups like the Anti-Defamation League, and Silicon Valley tech monopolists to facilitate Big Brother censorship against right-wing dissidents, as Carlson explained.

The Kochs recently announced that their network will not be giving a dime to President Trump’s re-election efforts in 2020, instead opting to support Democrats and issue-based groups opposing Trump’s core agenda.

“We expect policymakers to unite people and build coalitions. We’re committed to forging a new way forward with political discourse,” said Emily Seidel, CEO of the Koch-backed Americans for Prosperity. “We’re excited for how this new approach will help policymakers work together.”

Without having the courage to mention Trump by name, Seidel made it clear that her astroturfed grassroots organization is focusing on opposing the President and all that he stands for.

“If candidates engage in personal, ad hominem attacks and other divisive tactics during their election, it makes it difficult for them to work productively with others after the election,” Seidel wrote in a recent memo to AFP staff and activists.

“One of the biggest challenges to this approach is that those who work to lead nonpartisan coalitions are threatened by people in both parties who prize partisanship over policy outcomes. This makes it difficult for policymakers who want to do what’s best for the country to stick their necks out,” she added.

And thanks to Carlson’s blistering report, more people will be onto the sinister machinations of the Kochs than ever before.

Josh Hawley Moves to End Immunity Privileges for Big Tech Monopolies Unless They Protect Free Speech

The freshman Senator from Missouri is taking action to protect digital freedom.

By Shane Trejo

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has emerged as the leading reformer against social media censorship, as he is going after their special immunity privileges under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

As it states right now, Section 230 states that “no provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider.”

Howley’s bill, the Ending Support for Internet Censorship Act, would remove that exemption for Big Tech firms if they act like publishers instead of neutral platforms. Corporations would have to comply with external audits proving their algorithms and content moderation are not biased.

“With Section 230, tech companies get a sweetheart deal that no other industry enjoys: complete exemption from traditional publisher liability in exchange for providing a forum free of political censorship,” Hawley said in a statement. “Unfortunately, and unsurprisingly, big tech has failed to hold up its end of the bargain.”

“There’s a growing list of evidence that shows big tech companies making editorial decisions to censor viewpoints they disagree with,” Hawley added. “Even worse, the entire process is shrouded in secrecy because these companies refuse to make their protocols public. This legislation simply states that if the tech giants want to keep their government-granted immunity, they must bring transparency and accountability to their editorial processes and prove that they don’t discriminate.”

The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), the left-leaning civil liberties organization, warns against changing the regulations.

“Though there are important exceptions for certain criminal and intellectual property-based claims, CDA 230 creates a broad protection that has allowed innovation and free speech online to flourish,” the EFF added on their website.

“This legal and policy framework has allowed for YouTube and Vimeo users to upload their own videos, Amazon and Yelp to offer countless user reviews, craigslist to host classified ads, and Facebook and Twitter to offer social networking to hundreds of millions of Internet users,” they added.

“Senator Hawley’s misguided legislation sets the table for stricter government control over free expression online,” Americans for Prosperity Policy Analyst Billy Easley said in a statement.

“Eroding the crucial protections that exist under Section 230 creates a scenario where government has the ability to police your speech and determine what you can or cannot say online,” Easley added.

ECommerce trade group NetChoice opposes the legislation because they admit that it would restrict the ability of tech giants to censor.

“This bill prevents social media websites from removing dangerous and hateful content, since that could make them liable for lawsuits over any user’s posting” said Carl Szabo, who works as General Counsel at NetChoice, in a statement. “Sen. Hawley’s bill creates an internet where content from the KKK would display alongside our family photos and cat videos.”

Hawley isn’t phased by the critics, and continues to put Big Tech in his crosshairs.

Michael Moore Asks the Left: ‘Are You Ready’ to Take On Trump’s ‘Insane Base’

Far-left documentary filmmaker Michael Moore informed his 6 million Twitter followers Wednesday that he watched President Trump’s reelection speech and asked fellow resisters if they are ready to take on Trump’s “fired-up insane base.”

The Fahrenheit 11/9 filmmaker told his followers that he watched Trump’s reelection speech in its entirety in order to get a good look at the “enormity of the fight ahead.” Michael Moore was seemingly incensed by President Trump’s massive crowd of supporters.

“He hasn’t lost one inch of his fired-up insane base,” Moore said.

Moore’s devotion to “plugging in” and paying attention seems to be a recent development. Contrast his newfound position with the warning he issued prior to President Trump’s State of the Union Address in January.

At the time, Moore urged networks to refrain from playing the president’s address.

“You MUST NOT give free air time 2 a known liar,” he warned in a January 8 tweet. “This is a man you have told us lies to us an average of 10 lies a day.”

“If you do go ahead and give Trump this free, prime time airtime tonight, then I implore you to run on the screen a real-time LIVE fact-check for every sentence he utters,” he continued. “You owe this to your viewers.”

The Oscar-winner also warned that Trump’s State of the Union address was “all part of the plan” to start a coup.

In February, Moore urged Democrats to refrain from taking moderate positions and declared “middle ground” as good as gone.

“If you’re being moderate, stop being moderate. Take a position,” Moore said during an appearance on MSNBC. “There’s no middle ground anymore. There’s no halfway point to should somebody be paid a living wage.”

“You know, on the issue of choice, there is no halfway there. You’re either for it or you’re against it,” he continued. “Do you believe in equal rights for women? Do you believe we should have an Equal Rights Amendment? There’s no middle ground. There’s no time for moderation.”

Moore and Avengers star Mark Ruffalo are reportedly planning strategies “for the 2020 blue deluge.”

Biden Cites Two Pro-Segregation Democrats As Examples Of Civility

Democratic U.S. presidential hopeful and former Vice President Joe Biden addresses the Moral Action Congress of the Poor People's Campaign June 17, 2019 at Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC.

“At least there was some civility. We got things done.”

By James Barrett

At a fundraising event at the Carlyle Hotel in New York City Tuesday night, current Democratic presidential frontrunner Joe Biden lamented the loss of civility in politics and, as a positive example from his decades-long experience on Capitol Hill, cited his work with two staunchly anti-desegregation Democratic senators, inadvertently highlighting his own party’s history in enforcing racist policies.

The former vice president made the reference while addressing criticism that he is too “old fashioned” for the “New Left.” In his defense of his bipartisan, “consensus”-building approach to politics, Biden “invoked two Southern segregationist senators by name as he fondly recalled the ‘civility’ of the Senate in the 1970s and 1980s,” The New York Times reports.

“At the event, Mr. Biden noted that he served with the late Senators James O. Eastland of Mississippi and Herman Talmadge of Georgia, both Democrats who were staunch opponents of desegregation,” the Times reports. “Mr. Eastland was the powerful chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee when Mr. Biden entered the chamber in 1973.”

“I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland,” said Biden. “He never called me ‘boy,’ he always called me ‘son.'” (The Times notes that a pool report says Biden briefly imitated a southern accent when he delivered the line.)

Talmadge, said Biden, was “one of the meanest guys I ever knew, you go down the list of all these guys.”

“Well guess what?” he said. “At least there was some civility. We got things done. We didn’t agree on much of anything. We got things done. We got it finished.”

Biden then attempted to drive home his point: “But today you look at the other side and you’re the enemy. Not the opposition, the enemy,” he said. “We don’t talk to each other anymore.”

Biden, 76, has found himself under fire for his calls for a return to bipartisanship from the current, more radical iteration of the Democratic Party, which repeatedly rejects compromise and vilifies Republicans. Biden argued Tuesday that the inability to achieve “consensus in our system” only “encourages and demands the abuse of power by a president.”

Biden’s reference to two anti-desegregation Democrats is a reminder of his party’s racist history, as highlighted by National Review in a 2015 piece calling out the left’s attempts to “whitewash” the party’s record. In 1956, 99 Democrats in Congress signed the “Southern Manifesto,” which “declared the signatories’ opposition to the Supreme Court’s decision in Brown v. Board of Education and their commitment to segregation forever.” Two Republicans signed it. A far higher percentage of Republicans in the House supported the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than Democrats — 80% compared to 61% — while 80% of Republicans in the Senate supported it, compared to 69% of Democrats.

“The Democrats have been sedulously rewriting history for decades,” writes Mona Charen for National Review. “Their preferred version pretends that all the Democratic racists and segregationists left their party and became Republicans starting in the 1960s. How convenient. If it were true that the South began to turn Republican due to Lyndon Johnson’s passage of the Civil Rights Act, you would expect that the Deep South, the states most associated with racism, would have been the first to move. That’s not what happened. The first southern states to trend Republican were on the periphery: North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida. (George Wallace lost these voters in his 1968 bid.) The voters who first migrated to the Republican party were suburban, prosperous New South types. The more Republican the South has become, the less racist.”

Vanderbilt’s Carol Swain has also addressed this “whitewashing” of the Democratic Party in a recent video for PragerU:
