New York City Store Owner Beaten by ‘Pack of Teens’ For Wearing MAGA Hat

A New York City store owner told police that a ‘pack of teens’ viciously attacked him on Monday night for wearing a “MAGA” hat.

Jahangir Turan, 42, said he was attacked by 15 “kids” Monday on Canal Street who were screaming “F*ck Trump!” then beat him.

No description of the pack of teens was provided.

Mr. Turan said he suffered from a damaged and swollen eye and other injured body parts, reported Fox 5 NY.

Turan filed a police report and is planning on holding a news conference Thursday afternoon to demand NYPD find the teens who beat him.

Trump supporters are routinely harassed and beaten by leftist thugs yet the media conveniently ignores the violence coming from the left.

The owner of a New York City art shop located in the exclusive Billionaire’s Row area claims he was viciously beaten Tuesday evening by a group on Canal Street for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

With a swollen face, bruises and black eye Jahangir “John” Turan — owner of the David Parker Gallery which sells art work by Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí and Joan Miró, among other celebrated artists — says he was on his way to a meeting with a client after buying a MAGA hat when he came across a group of “kids,” who he described as being 18 to 20 years old, while walking on Canal Street toward West Broadway.

He says he was passing the group when a girl in the group “flipped” his hat onto the street. Allegedly, when he bent down to get it, the rest of the group “started pounding” on him, grabbed his head and hit it against a pole.

Video: On Eve of Debates, People in Detroit Struggle to Name Democrat Presidential Candidates

Man-and-woman on the street interviews in Detroit done on the eve of this week’s two-night Democratic Party presidential debates show that even the front running candidates are not very well known among voters.

The interviews were conducted by Spectrum News reporter Lindsay Oliver and posted by Spectrum to Twitter. The debates, hosted by CNN, are airing Tuesday and Wednesday night with ten candidates each night.

In the video, Oliver holds up official photos of the candidates for people to identify. It does not go well for the candidates. However, it is not a total disaster for the Democrats as some voters do recognize more than one candidate and some know what the candidate they support looks like–even if they don’t know the candidate’s name.

The disturbing lawless trend of police officers being ‘water bombed’ by large gangs of young people appears to be continuing with a video out of Atlanta showing a cop getting completely doused.

The video shows dozens of people with water guns aimed at a police officer who tries to retreat to his squad car for safety.

The officer is massively outnumbered and visibly agitated as the mob surrounds him.

Earlier this week, we highlighted other examples of the same trend in Harlem and Brooklyn, where cops were doused with water and one had a bucket thrown at his head.

The fad serves to illustrate how there is a growing sense of lawlessness and a total lack of respect for police officers in major cities.

Following the incidents in New York, NYPD sources blamed Mayor Bill de Blasio for creating a climate that is soft on crime.

President Trump then waded into the debate, calling the incidents a “total disgrace” on calling on de Blasio to take action.

The Mayor responded by tweeting, “Crime’s gone down year after year in New York City and it’s not just because you finally left town.”

How long it will be before those figures start to rise given the seemingly rampant disrespect for police in New York remains to be seen.

Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio admitted they would abolish private health insurance during the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary debate on Wednesday evening.

“Many people watching at home have health insurance coverage through their employer,” asked NBC’s Lester Holt, “Who here would abolish their private health insurance in favor of a government-run plan? Just a show of hands.”

Sen. Warren and Mayor de Blasio raised their hands in response to Holt’s question, admitting that they would abolish private health insurance in favor of cradle to grave, government-run healthcare.

Warren and de Blasio, however, are likely not the only candidates on stage who agree with abolishing private health insurance, but rather, the only candidates bold enough to actually admit it.

The Green New Deal, for example, would ban private health insurance, including employer-provided insurance plans. The Green New Deal was endorsed by Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ), and Representative Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (D-TX), two presidential candidates who shared the debate stage with Warren and de Blasio on Wednesday night.

Moreover, over 100 Democrats have endorsed “Medicare for All,” a proposal that would also effectively do away with private health insurance.

Another Democratic Presidential candidate, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) — although not present on Wednesday night — has also admitted to wanting to eliminate private health insurance to replace it with a single-payer, government-run “Medicare for All” program.

Less than 24 hours later, however, Harris seemed to have thought better of her statement, quickly walking back her call to abolish private health insurance, and later insisting that “Medicare for All” would not eliminate the entire private health insurance industry.

While it is apparent that not every 2020 Democratic Presidential candidate may be comfortable with confessing their views on private health insurance just yet, the fact that some are willing to openly endorse socialist policies is a cause for concern, and a testimony to the radical shift the Democratic Party has taken over recent years.

Conservative commentator Candace Owens reported Black Lives Matter was set to protest the television appearance, adding, “How bad of a mayor must you be to have united the NYPD and Black Lives Matter against your candidacy? Your city hates you, Bill.”

2020 Watch: De Blasio Announces Candidacy, Trump Weighs In

The New York City entered the race, and came out swinging against President Donald J. Trump.

The never-ending list of Democratic Party candidates for president got a little bit longer Thursday, when New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced his candidacy.

“Even before his announcement, de Blasio already qualified to participate in the Democratic primary debates, according to a poll from Reuters and Ipsos,” Axios said. “The mayor intends to leverage his record of New York achievements such as universal pre-kindergarten and raising the minimum hourly wage. Following the announcement, he will go on a 4-day campaign tour to Iowa and South Carolina, per NBC.”

President Donald J. Trump weighed in on de Blasio’s candidacy on Twitter.

“The Dems are getting another beauty to join their group. Bill de Blasio of NYC, considered the worst mayor in the U.S., will supposedly be making an announcement for president today. He is a JOKE, but if you like high taxes & crime, he’s your man. NYC HATES HIM!” he said.

“There’s plenty of money in this world. There’s plenty of money in this country. It’s just in the wrong hands,” de Blasio said in a campaign announcement video.

He spent the first half of his announcement video describing his far-left platform, which includes universal healthcare, a $15 minimum wage, and “free” Pre-Kindergarten education for all. He spent the second half of the announcement video attacking Trump, calling him a “bully.”

De Blasio is squarely in the progressive corner. He was widely ridiculed for last month for proposing a skyscraper ban in New York City to fight climate change.

The mayor of America’s most populous city has a new plan to fight “global warming,” and it involves doing away with the landscape of the city over which he presides.

“We’re going to introduce legislation to ban the glass and steel skyscrapers that have contributed so much to global warming,” said New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said. “They have no place in our city or our Earth anymore.”

The mayor did not offer much in the way of specifics regarding his plan. Will existing skyscrapers be demolished, or will the city ban new ones from being erected? Many such buildings are apartments and condos. Will the people who live in them be forced to move? Also, what happened to “climate change?” This reporter was under the impression that “global warming” was an outdated term.

According to Spectrum News 1 in New York City, de Blasio’s proposal would prevent developers from “using all glass facades unless they meet strict new energy guidelines,” which he called “the city’s version of the Green new Deal.”

The Mueller team was conflicted to the hilt with numerous members having donated to, worked for or represented the Hillary team or the Democrat Party.  Now the Democrats have another major conflict of interest.

It’s reported that the Head of the House Oversight Committee, Democrat Jerry Nadler, has a son who works for a law firm suing President Trump.  According to Big League Politics –

Democrat congressman Jerry Nadler, leading the investigative charge against President Donald Trump, has a son whose firm is trying to get access to Trump documents for their clients in numerous lawsuits against President Trump.

“Congressman Jerry Nadler has a big conflict,” our source tells Big League Politics in Washington, D.C.

“His son (Michael Nadler) got a job with Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP in 2018.  That’s convenient because Jerry Nadler and the Democrats just won control of the House in 2018.  Gibson Dunn & Crutcher hire Jerry’s son and Gibson Dunn & Crutcher are the main Nemesis against Trump and the Trump Administration on numerous lawsuits.  Now the Nadler family will gain access to thousands of Trump documents via Jerry’s subpoenas!,” our insider stated.

Michael Nadler has a LinkedIn account that confirms he works for Gibson Dunn and Crutcher.

The young Nadler also brags about working for far-left New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and Eric Schneiderman, the New York Attorney General who resigned after being accused of abuse by at least four women.

Gibson Dunn & Crutcher represented CNN’s Jim Acosta in his ban by the Trump White House.

They also have sued the U.S. State Department on behalf of the Center for Reproductive Rights, as part of the group’s effort to unearth details of the Trump administration’s alleged changes to regularly issued government human rights reports.  (They don’t like that President Trump took Obama era reporting out of a government report that detailed concerns about abortion rights.)

In the days up to the 2016 election, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher offered to represent Trump sex accusers for free.

Jerry Nadler has a material conflict of interest and he should recuse himself from anything related to President Trump!  This is real and egregious.

NYC’s Nanny State Strikes Again, This Time They Are Coming For Hamburgers and Hot Dogs

According to Breitbart News, New York City’s recently passed “Green New Deal” will reduce the amount of red meat served in city-run facilities by half.

This program is being conducted in the name of battling climate change.

This “Green New Deal” is different from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s proposal at the federal level.

This local Green New Deal will slowly reduce the purchase of red meat in public schools, hospitals, and correctional facilities by 2040. The end goal is to cut meat purchases by 50 percent. The total costs of this program are estimated to be around $14 billion.

Through its passage of this iteration of the Green New Deal, New York is the first city in the world to enact this kind of measure.

The municipal Green New Deal comes right after New York City’s announcement to expand “Meatless Monday” to all public schools in the area starting in the 2019-2020 school year.

Despite being separate legislation from Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, both proposals share an emphasis on reducing meat consumption.

A divided Congress and a Republican controlled White House makes it next to impossible to pass the Green New Deal at the federal level for the time being.

As a result, climate change alarmists are now taking a page from the gun control movement’s playbook.

They recognize that they can’t get their legislation passed at the federal level, so they’ll work from the bottom up in municipalities and state legislatures.

However, the conversation on the Green New Deal is far from finished.

BLP covered Robert Francis ‘Beto’ O’ Rourke’s recent endorsement of the Green New Deal, in which he urged Americans to make sacrifices that were reminiscent to those of WWII.

As the Democratic Party goes further Left, the Green New Deal will likely be a major litmus test issue for future candidates.
