Hungary Seals Border, Warns Migrant Invasion Could Bring Coronavirus

Hungary has sealed its southern border, warning that many of the migrants currently attempting to break into Greece have traveled through Iran, which is in the midst of an explosive coronavirus outbreak.

Budapest announced that ‘transit zones’ along the border with Serbia, where migrants can apply for asylum and await decisions, will be closed indefinitely amid an effective invasion of Europe intiated by Turkey.

“We are suspending indefinitely new admissions of people into the transit zones,” said Chief Security Advisor György Bakondi. “We are seeing a certain link between the coronavirus and illegal immigrants.”

“For the safety of the 321 refugees in the transit zone, we are suspending the reception of additional refugees.”

Bakondi said there are currently around 10,000 migrants preparing to sail from Turkey to Greek islands and another 13,000 attempting to storm Greece’s land border – numbers which are reportedly increasing rapidly.

Many of the migrants hoping to reach Europe are from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran, and a large number of them could be carrying coronavirus contracted at home or during their journeys, Bakondi asserted.

“To the Hungarian people: We will protect our borders and our internal security,” he declared. “And a message to the migrants: No matter what their ‘organizers’ say, there is no way to Europe [through Hungary].”

“Hungary will not open up or let through anyone,” he continued. “The road does not lead here, it’s not worth trying this way.”

Hungary has no reported cases of coronavirus at the time of this writing.

Hungary Offers to Patrol Italian Border

Hungary is prepared to assist Italy in controlling its borders and deporting illegal migrants, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has announced.

The Hungarian leader extended an open hand of partnership to Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte in the interest of defending Europe’s frontiers from mass migration.

“Dear Prime Minister Conte, if it’s needed, we are willing to take over the protection of certain sections of the Italian border,” PM Orbán said during an address to the annual congress of his ruling Fidesz party. “We will undertake the repatriation of a significant number of migrants in Italy to wherever they came from.”

“We are and we will remain a member of the European Union, but we don’t want a Brussels empire, but a union of European nations… We want to remain who we are, a proud European nation that has sprouted from Christian culture.”

PM Orbán’s offer comes on the heels of a similar proposal he put forward during a recent event in Rome organized by the nationalist-conservative party Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy).

“Hungary is ready to help Italy in whatever way we can, but there are areas where we cannot help,” Orbán said. “We cannot help with the transport and settlement of any migrants in Hungary. That is impossible.”

“But once you decide it, we can help you defend your borders, and if you are determined to send home the migrants who are already here, we can help you with that, too.”

“Mandatory settlement quotas, we cannot accept, but deportation quotas with pleasure,” Orbán declared. “So if PM Conte were to ask the Hungarians to send home a couple of thousand migrants from Italy back to where they came from, then Hungary will be ready and help fulfill such obligations.”

The Italian Interior Ministry reports that migrant arrivals by sea have begun to increase again for the first time in 2019, a trend which coincides with the ousting of former Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, who had managed to slash migration by a stunning 94 percent after mere months in office.

VIKTOR ORBÁN: NATIVE POPULATION DECLINE IS THE “SICKNESS OF EUROPE”

Hungary’s populist Prime Minister Viktor Orbán says the “sickness of Europe” is the continent’s native population decline as he urged for more incentives to encourage citizens to have children.

During a speech at Budapest’s 3rd Demographic Summit, Orbán warned that the biggest problem Europe faced was demographic suicide.

“Why is this the case? It’s most certainly not because of some sickness of Christian civilization – after all, the number of Christians are rising all around the world. This is a sickness of Europe in general,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that the solution was not to import vast numbers of migrants, asserting, “We must never accept population exchange.”

According to Orbán, the remedy should be to ensure that families were financially rewarded for having children, not punished.

“We win only if we can build a system where those who bear children live significantly better than if they hadn’t started a family,” he said.

Orbán emphasized that the west was doomed if the current model of atomization and demographic decline isn’t halted.

“Without families and children, the national community will disappear,” said Orbán, adding, “and if a nation disappears, something irreplaceable will disappear from the world.”

As we previously highlighted, as part an effort to boost the country’s population without having to rely on mass migration, Hungary will hand out €30,600 to married couples who have three or more children.

A married couple receives the €30,600 as a loan from the government upon getting married. The loan then has to be repaid until the couple has three children. At this point, the debt is completely forgiven.

The Hungarian Prime MinisterViktor Orbán and the Italian Interior Ministe Matteo Salvini are planning to fight the current EU agenda.

Salvini visited Orbán to inform himself about the border fence between Hungary and Serbia. Orban even referred to Salvini as the most important man in Europe.

Orban stated that he is ready to work with dynamic and vital men while calling the EU tired and powerless.

“I hope new powers will rise up and accomplish to build something”, ending with “Europe needs Matteo Salvini.”

Salvini underlined that he is not right-wing but that his party simply represents an alternative for Europe. He acknowledged not knowing how many parties will join him or how strong they will be.

“But, I hope we will be very strong because if the Left wins Europe will become an Islamic caliphate”, he stated.

Both men called on the European People’s Party to adopt their views unless they want to commit political suicide. If the EPP decided to follow their example both expressed willingness to work with them.

EPP President Joseph Daul on the other hand strongly opposes this. He allegedly said that this would have to happen without him and that he would not accept to be Chair of the European Commission if it required the help of Orban’s Fidesz party.

After the suspension of the Fidesz party for its criticism of George Soros and EU-Commission President Juncker for their migration policies cooperation between Euro-Skeptics is becoming more and more likely.

Together with the Alternative for Germany, the Freedom Party of Austria, Marine Le Pen’s Rassemblement National, the Finnish Perussuomalaiset, the Estonian Conservative People’s Party, the Dutch Freedom Party, the Slovakian Sme Rodina, the Belgian Vlaams Belang, the Danish People’s Party and Salvini’s Lega represent the European Alliance of Peoples and Nations and could become quite formidable after European Parliament elections.

Report: Facebook Sets Up ‘War Room’ for European Elections

**Politico recently profiled Facebook’s new “European election war room” ahead of upcoming E.U. elections.**

A recent report from Politico provides an insight into Facebook’s new “election war room” established ahead of the upcoming European election. Facebook has previously deployed a similar “war room” in the United States ahead of the midterm elections in November 2018. In October, Breitbart News reported on the war room providing an insight into the aim of the project. Facebook’s Product Manager of Civic Engagement, Samidh Chakrabarti, said in an interview that the war room is a physical room which will be used to “take quick and decisive action” against possible cases of foreign interference during the midterm elections.

“We have many measures that we’ve put in place to try to prevent problems: the political ad transparency, blocking fake accounts, combating foreign interference, and preventing the spread of misinformation. But we know we have to be ready for anything that happens,” stated Chakrabarti. “And so that’s why we’ve been building this war room, a physical war room [with] people across the company, of all different disciplines, who are there. So, as we discover problems that may come up in the hours leading up to the election, we can take quick and decisive action.”

Now, Politico has reported on the company’s efforts to establish a similar project in Dublin, Ireland ahead of the upcoming European elections. Politico described the project writing:

The group of twentysomething coders, engineers and content specialists sit hunched over multiple screens, scanning the platform for potential illegal behavior. Wall-mounted television monitors keep them up to date on the latest chatter on the world’s largest social network, Instagram and WhatsApp. A single European Union flag hangs on the wall, next to a poster emblazoned with the slogan “New Ways of Seeing.”

Yet despite Facebook’s 40-person European election “operations center,” which got underway on April 29, the tech giant is struggling to keep on top of the threats.
Political groups from Hungary to Spain have been able to circumvent Facebook’s new political transparency tools to quietly buy partisan social media advertising aimed at swaying potential voters, according to an analysis by POLITICO. That includes paid-for messages by Viktor Orbán, the Hungarian prime minister, Verein Recht und Freiheit (Association for the Conservation of the Rule of Law and Civil Liberties), a support group for right-wing politicians in Germany and Petra De Sutter, a Belgian candidate for the Green Party.

It seems that Facebook is aware, however, of accusations of censorship and bias. The company’s chief lobbyist in Europe told Politico that Facebook is avoiding taking too harsh a line on the content allowed on the platform:

“We recognize that some people think we should remove everything,” said Richard Allan, Facebook’s chief lobbyist in Europe, in reference to the reams of political content now flooding the digital platform. “But we have concerns of removing everything during a political election.”

“We don’t believe it’s the right place to be for us to be the regulator of political campaigns,” he added. Facebook may not want the role, but its global reach puts it at the heart of the democratic process from France to the Philippines.

Politico described the new Dublin team tasked with monitoring misinformation, writing:

The team, which includes speakers of all of the EU’s 24 official languages, is split along national boundaries, with specialists — primarily men who would not look out of place in any startup office — monitoring activity on both Facebook’s social media platforms and those of rivals, notably Google and Twitter.

Facebook would not say how much content the group reviews daily, though each Facebook staffer had multiple screens open monitoring news events and other political discussions online.

Once an issue is flagged, Facebook’s engineers can then work with their counterparts across Europe and elsewhere to determine if the activity infringes the company’s standards, and then delete, play down or leave the content on the network, depending on the outcome. Topics for review include possible misinformation, voter suppression and hate speech, and the company said that it had investigated hundreds of incidents within the last week.

“Even though we’re a tech company, speaking face to face is invaluable,” said Sturdy, the Facebook executive.

Hungary will not soften laws to allow Soros college to stay in the country

Hungary will not relax rules for international universities despite pressure from the EU and offers from Germany to mediate in a row over a college founded by US billionaire George Soros, a government spokesman said.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, a nationalist who has often clashed with the European Union, has been accused of restricting academic freedom with his new higher education rules, which the Central European University said forced it out of the country.

“There is no change in our core view”, government spokesman Zoltan Kovacs told Reuters.

“We will not change the laws and regulations that govern higher education in Hungary. We still operate on that basis.”

Central European University, set up by Soros, will move part of its operations to Austria from September because of rules forbidding it to issue US degrees.

The dispute, often seen as a proxy for disagreements between Soros and Orbán on migration, is one of the main issues that caused the European Peoples’ Party to suspend Orbán’s Fidesz before European Parliament elections.

At the initiative of Manfred Weber, the EPP’s lead candidate to head the EU executive after the May elections, the government of the German state of Bavaria and the Technical University of Munich stepped in to help.

Offering three new professorships and new courses to augment CEU’s teaching, they said they would open a way for CEU to issue international degrees.

A Hungarian government official told an opposition member of the Budapest parliament that Hungary considered Bavarian participation in the Hungarian higher education sector “a step that builds trust”.

And Balazs Orbán, a state secretary on the prime minister’s staff, said the government was “ready to examine the possibility for issuing diplomas recognized in the United States and Germany as well as in Hungary”.

However, he reiterated that all universities had to comply with Hungarian law, and Zoltan Kovacs also made it clear that Bavarian participation, while welcome, would lead to no legal amendments.

Hungary: The EU has provided 2 million migrants with unlawful cash cards worth 1.55 billion euros in an effort to legalise illegal migration

Over two million migrants have received anonymous debit cards at a cost of €1.55 billion, according to the Hungarian government.

“Over two million migrants have received anonymous debit cards. The equivalent of 500 billion forints (1.55 bn euros) has been spent in this manner”, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister György Bakondi said on Hungarian M1 television.

Mr. Bakondi said that the cards are unlawful, because European citizens cannot own anonymous banking cards, they cannot be monitored, and no public procurement procedure was launched for their issuing.

“This solution, which has not been thought through and is unlawful, and other efforts on the part of the European Union to legalise illegal migration such as the migrant visa and the establishment of legal channels for immigration, represent a security risk with healthcare, economic and cultural consequences for Hungarian and European citizens”, he stated.

In the Chief Security Advisor’s opinion, the EU doesn’t want to stop migration, but legalise it.

“Hungary, however, does not agree with this. Hungary’s opinion is that the problem must not be brought into Europe, but that instead, assistance must be provided to enable problems to be solved on site”, he added.

Mr. Bakondi also mentioned that the good weather has led to an increase in the number of migrants on the Balkan migration route.

SWEDEN DEMANDS SANCTIONS ON HUNGARY, NATIONS REFUSING THIRD WORLD MIGRATION

**EU nations which refuse to open their doors to third world migration should have to “pay a price”, the Swedish Prime Minister has said.**

In an interview with local media at the weekend, Stefan Löfven said he wants to see sanctions on countries unwilling to take part in a migrant quota system, claiming it was ‘not sustainable” that Hungary refuses to house, feed, and clothe a Brussels-dictated share of illegal immigrants who reach Europe.

“It cannot be that responsibility is shared by one or two or three countries. We have to help each other,” he told the establishment newspaper Dagens Nyheter, stating that the EU must impose a common migration policy on the bloc’s member states.

“Hungary is one of the countries that receives the most funding from the EU, and it is saying no, we will not take responsibility with relation to migration,” the social democrat said, adding that Brussels should cut funding to nations which reject mass immigration.

Budapest hit back at Löfven’s claim that the nation was neglecting responsibility on the topic of migrants, with foreign minister Peter Szijjártó pointing out that border fences rolled out by the Hungarian government in 2015 are “defending western and northern Europe” from illegal immigration.

“What is at stake at the May elections is that politicians should be elected to the European Parliament who want security in Europe and not resettlement quotas, not no-go zones, not gang wars, not increasing crime and not a threat of terrorism,” the minister toldHungarian news agency MTI.

Slamming Löfven as a “pro-immigration politician who also wants to force illegal immigrants onto Hungary, and wants to punish the Hungarians for saying no to the mandatory resettlement quota”, the minister added: “The Swedish Prime Minister has already made his decision [on migration policy], but we too have the right to decide.”

Prior to a meeting of EU leaders last September, Löfven reportedly showed visible signs of “anger” at some member states’ reluctance to agree to a common asylum policy, which would see illegal immigrants who manage to reach European shores spread out across the bloc.

The Swedish leader has repeatedly claimed that migrants will be “less of a burden” to the continent as a whole if there is a permanent mechanism to spread them throughout the bloc, ignoring the argument from Visegrád leaders that sharing out asylum seekers trafficked into the EU while failing to secure the borders makes the illegal immigration problem worse.

Sweden Calls For Sanctions Against Countries That Refuse Migrants

Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven has indicated that he would like to see sanctions levied against European countries that do not participate in migrant ‘resettlement.’

Speaking with Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter, PM Löfven was asked about economic penalties for countries that refuse ‘refugees’ but receive European Union funding, such as Hungary.

“Yes, I am ready to do this,” Löfven said. “Because sooner or later we have to take joint responsibility for receiving migrants. One, two or three countries cannot bear it, we need to help with this.”

“If they are not ready to take responsibility, then it will come at a cost, it will not be possible to receive EU funds in the same way as today.”

“Hungary is one of the countries that gets the most,” Löfven continued. “It is unacceptable that the country that received the most support from the EU said, ‘No, we do not take responsibility for immigration.'”

During the 2015 crisis, Sweden received the highest per capita intake of ‘refugees’ in Europe, accepting some 163,000 migrants from mostly Africa and the Middle East.

Hungary, a nation that lies on the frontier of the Schengen Area, was deluged by tens of thousands of migrants in mere months, prompting a dramatically different reaction than Sweden, as Prime Minister Viktor Orbán‘s administration moved quickly to construct a groundbreaking border barrier and reduce Hungary’s migrant intake to nearly zero.

Suspected ISIS Terrorist Arrested In Hungary Held Prepaid EU Debit Card

A Syrian man arrested by Hungarian authorities under suspicion of terrorist activities was in possession of a prepaid debit card issued by the E.U., according to a government spokesman.

F. Hassan was recently detained in Budapest by officers of the Hungarian Counterterrorism Centre (TEK), suspected of being a high-ranking ISIS operative who had carried out attacks and executions in his homeland.

Reports now indicate that Hassan was holding one of the many “anonymous” debit cards issued to migrants by the E.U. and U.N. – a scheme that was recently unearthedand confirmed by the European Commission following a public information campaign initiated by the Hungarian government.

“The Hungarian government had warned that these anonymous, prepaid debit cards posed a security risk,” writes Zoltan Kovacs, Secretary of State for International Communication and Relations. “After initial denials, the Commission finally admitted that the United Nations and the European Union have been distributing these cards to migrants who have reached the territory of the E.U. Some 64,000 debit cards were distributed to migrants in January alone.”

“Reports say that he received a monthly payment of 500 EUR on his debit card. That’s well over today’s gross minimum wage in Hungary.”

Hungarian officials are now demanding an “urgent answer” from the E.U. regarding whether it knew if Hassan had been issued one of the debit cards in question and how many other potential terrorists may have received them, according to Hungary Today.

“It is a lie that the 64,000 migrant cards issued so far are not anonymous, cannot be used to withdraw cash or that they can only be used in Greece,” MEP Tamas Deutsch told reporters.

Deutsch warned that “thousands” of jihadists may be pouring into Europe, hidden among the waves of migrants.

“Despite that fact, Brussels is enthusiastically distributing anonymous cards credited with hundreds of euros,” Deutsch said.

In November, 2018, Infowars Europe helped bring to light revelations that migrants were using preloaded MasterCard debit cards bearing insignias of the E.U. and U.N. to pay for goods and services along their journeys.

There is also evidence that the project is traceable to infamous Hungarian billionaire George Soros.

In Infowars’ original report, we detailed Soros’ likely ties to the scheme upon discovery of a 2017 MasterCard press release publicizing the launch of a partnership program with Soros called “Humanity Ventures,” which aimed to “catalyze and accelerate economic and social development for vulnerable communities around the world, especially refugees and migrants.”

Incredibly, the E.U. has claimed the program “does not encourage migration.”
