Obama-appointed judge hands down 40-month sentence

2/20/2020

Supporters of Trump confidant Roger Stone criticized the 40-month sentence handed down by Obama-appointed Judge Amy Berman Jackson Thursday.

On Twitter, many pointed to the fact Stone’s sentence was harsh compared to violent criminals, including convicted pedophiles, despite Stone’s alleged offenses being victimless crimes.

Others highlighted Stone’s supposed crimes were minor in comparison to the Deep State’s flagrant coup attempt.

Amid a lengthy statement, Judge Jackson defended the sentence claiming it was in line with the rule of law, and that Stone attempted to protect the president via a “cover-up.”

“He was not prosecuted, as some have complained, for standing up for the president, he was prosecuted for covering up for the president,” Judge Jackson told Stone at a U.S District Court in Washington, D.C.

“The truth still exists, the truth still matters. Roger Stone’s insistence that it doesn’t … are a threat to our most fundamental institutions,” Jackson stated.

During a commencement speech at a Hope for Prisoners Graduation Ceremony in Las Vegas Thursday following the announcement of Stone’s sentence, President Trump told reporters he was watching the case closely and hinted at a pardon.

“I just want to let the fake news media know… that I’m gonna watch the process, I’m going to watch it very closely, and at some point I’ll make a determination, but Roger Stone and everybody needs to be treated fairly and this has not been a fair process,” the president stated.

EXPOSED: Florida GOP Candidate Caught Defending Amnesty for Illegals in Deleted Video

Contender Anna Paulina Luna has been exposed as a RINO.

By Shane Trejo

Congressional candidate Anna Paulina Luna is running in Florida’s 13th District as a constitutional, pro-Trump Republican, and she is touting her Latina heritage and military credentials to get the seat.

“Extreme leftists push more government and less freedom, while career politicians — in both parties — are more beholden to special interests than their constituents,” Luna’s campaign wrote. “Anna took an oath to defend our country in the Air Force. She’s now ready to take that oath to Washington.”

Luna, who works as the Chairwoman of Hispanic Initiative at PragerU, has gained endorsements from Congressman Matt Gaetz and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.

“Anna is a true fighter for our country! We need more like her! Check out her run for Congress, critical to help patriots like her,” Kirk wrote in an announcement earlier this month.

However, video has emerged showing that Luna is a RINO who supported amnesty for illegal aliens before attempting to remake herself as an “America First” Republican.

Media Right News unearthed the video that the Luna campaign has tried to scrub from the internet.

The Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is calling out Luna as a RINO for her support of amnesty for illegal aliens.

“While Anna Paulina Luna does oppose Obama’s unconstitutional and illegal DACA Amnesty, she supports giving green card or citizenship Amnesty to illegal aliens,” ALIPAC wrote in their press release.

“Most Americans oppose any pathway to citizenship and voting rights for illegal aliens who will vote 90% Democrat in future elections handing full control of the all three branches of the US Government to the left forevermore,” they added.

ALIPAC has chosen to endorse Luna’s competitor, George Buck, who believes he has the right credentials and fundraising prowess to win back the district in November. Buck raised $220,667.38 in the 4th quarter of 2019, according to FEC filings.

“None of the donations were from swamp PACs or lobbyists, they came from average every day Americans and Floridians who want to take this country back,” Buck said.

“I am proud of that and I won’t let my donors and voters down. We are almost at half a million raised and this is the kind of fundraising prowess needed to defeat Turncoat Charlie Crist. Charlie has done nothing while in Congress other than vote to impeach President Trump during the sham witch hunt. I can do better,” he added.

Crist is believed to be vulnerable after voting in favor of the impeachment of President Trump. In addition to Luna and Buck, Amanda Makki, Anna Luna, Sharon Newby, Matt Becker, and Shelia Griffin are also running for the seat.

BERKELEY WARNS STUDENTS HOW CORONAVIRUS MEMES SPREAD XENOPHOBIA

Berkeley Warns Students How Coronavirus Memes Spread Xenophobia

Leftists blaming pandemic fears on bigotry, racism

Kyle Hooten | Campus Reform – FEBRUARY 19, 2020

Fear of the coronavirus stems from “xenophobia and racism in America,” according to faculty at the University of California-Berkeley.

“Biased American public health and immigration policies” are to blame for Americans’ “anxiety over the potentially deadly disease,” says a recent Berkeley News article.

The piece, titled “Coronavirus: Fear of Asians rooted in long American history of prejudicial policies,” draws on the opinions of two UC Berkeley educators to make this claim.

Professor John A. Powell, director of Berkeley’s “Othering and Belonging Institute” is quoted saying that Coronavirus woes stem partly from “an assumption that the West, particularly Anglo-American Christians, should dominate the world,” and partly from a “heightened state of [anti-immigrant] bias.”

He adds that debates about Chinese expansionism, Chinese 5G networks, and Chinese espionage can also reveal racist American tendencies.

Powell concludes that a global society is the only path forward in a new world characterized by growing Chinese hegemony.

Berkeley research scientist and lecturer Winston Tseng agrees with Powell.

“There’s a part of that original history of xenophobia and racism in America from the 19th and 20th centuries that is coming back,” he told Berkeley News.

“[The Coronavirus] is a very serious issue, for sure, but from a public health standpoint it’s a relative issue compared to all the public health issues globally,” he said, after stating his belief that the virus will peak with only 200,000 cases.

The Berkeley News article also claims that “social media memes and GIFs” about the coronavirus are complicit in the spread of virus-related xenophobia.

Campus Reform previously reported on a similar statement about the virus made by Berkeley that was ultimately retracted by the school alongside a public apology. The statement came in the form of a now-deleted Instagram post from an official Berkeley account which claimed that “xenophobia” is among the “normal reactions” to the virus.

The school’s executive director of communications and media relations, Roqua Montez IV, acknowledged the social media retraction and apologized for its content.

Campus Reform reached out to Montez for further comment but did not hear back in time for publication.

It’s Been 11 Years and Deep State FBI STILL WON’T Turn Over Transcript and 302 of Barack Obama’s Blagojevich Interview …What Are They Hiding?

THE FBI IS PART OF THE DEEP STATE

President Donald Trump commuted former Illinois Governor Rod “Blago” Blagojevich’s sentence on Tuesday.

President Trump previously floated the idea of commuting Blago’s sentence, claiming the charges against him were “unfair.”

They were.

And on Tuesday Trump commuted the former Democrat governor’s sentence.

In his first interview at the Denver Airport Rod Blagojevich thanked President Trump and noted how Democrats “don’t treat him very good.”

Former Governor Rod Blagojevich: The appropriate thing to say is I speak for Patty, for my daughters Amy and Annie and me when I express our most profound and everlasting gratitude to President Trump for doing what he did. He didn’t have to do it. This is a Republican president. I was a Democratic governor. And my fellow Democrats don’t treat him very good. So all I can say is I think this is the ending of the first act of a two act play. And tomorrow begins the second act and I think there’s a lot that has to be done in the second act.

Blagojevich then told CBS Local he wants a banana split.

There’s much more to this story that may be revealed in the coming days.

As Joe Hoft previously reported — Former Illinois Governor Blagojevich Was Imprisoned by Mueller, Comey and Deep State Gang – President Trump’s Release of Blago Sends Deep State a Message

And Tom Fitton from Judicial Watch posted this interesting report on Twitter after Blago’s release.

Over 11 years ago, the FBI interviewed Barack Obama about the sale of his Senate seat in Illinois. There is an FBI “302” report of interview. But rather than releasing document, the DOJ has fought Judicial Watch tooth and nail to keep the document secret!
Wonder why?

SWAMP: FBI Press Officer Accepted Baseball Tickets From CNN Reporter

Michael Kortan was the FBI’s press officer during the 2016 election.

By

New reporting from the Daily Caller has revealed that the FBI’s former chief press officer was forced to resign last year, after lying to the Department of Justice’s inspector general about accepting baseball tickets from a CNN reporter.

Michael Kortan was formerly the FBI’s assistant director of public affairs. He resigned from the agency in 2018, while under investigation from the Office of the Inspector General. The DOJ’s watchdog entity had discovered text messages in which Kortan agreed to accept baseball tickets to two Washington Nationals games during May and September 2016 from a CNN reporter. A report from the Office of the Inspector General describes Kortan as displaying a “lack of candor” during two interviews he was subjected to on the matter, suggesting that Kortan lied about accepting the gifts from a forbidden source.

Kortan also accepted baseball tickets from a New York Times reporter in 2014 and 2016. The anonymous CNN reporter who evidently provided gifts to the bureaucrat was apparently considered one of his top press contacts, suggesting that he or she may have been privy to confidential agency information that should have been kept private.

Nats v Marlins Friday night. I have to be away. Can you use four tix?” Said one text from the CNN operative.

Kortan seemed relatively shameless in his response, accepting a gift that most professionals committed to ethics would quickly decline.

“I’m good for 2 tix if that’s OK.”

The Department of Justice ultimately didn’t prosecute Kortan for the breach of FBI rules, possibly because of his decision to resign from the agency.

FBI agents are strictly prohibited from receiving gifts from “prohibited sources,” who include journalists who cover the agency’s operations. It goes without saying that a high-ranking public affairs agent is totally forbidden from taking baseball tickets from CNN and New York Times reporters.

The FBI has struggled to retain its image as a neutral and non-partisan law enforcement agency, following years of scandals in which agency personnel were busted trying to interfere in partisan politics and national elections.

Dershowitz Says Obama “Personally Asked” FBI To Investigate Someone For George Soros

Profile picture for user Tyler Durden

Former President Barack Obama “personally asked” the FBI to investigate someone at the request of billionaire progressive George Soros, according to Harvard Law School professor emeritus, Alan Dershowitz.

“President Obama personally asked the FBI to investigate somebody on behalf of George Soros, who was a close ally of his,” said Dershowitz.

“We’ve seen this kind of White House influence on the Justice Department virtually in every Justice Department,” he added. “The difference is this president is much more overt about it. He tweets about it. President Obama whispered to the Justice Department about it.”

Q: Wow, well, we look forward to hearing more about that new.

Dershowitz: That’s not unusual. That is not unusual. People whisper to presidents all the time. Presidents whisper to [the] Justice Department all the time. It’s very common. It’s wrong, whoever does it, but it’s common, and we shouldn’t think that it’s unique to any particular president. I have in my possession the actual 302 form [an FBI record of an interview], which documents this issue, and it will, at the right time, come out. But I’m not free to disclose it now because it’s a case that’s not yet been filed. -Breitbart News

Dershowitz also opined on the impeachment trial of President Trump – of which he was part of Trump’s defense – reiterating that his arguments had been so distorted by CNN that he could sue the network if he wanted to.

CNN — and House impeachment managers — claimed Dershowitz said that the president can do whatever he wants to do, as long as he claims to have believed he was acting in the public interest. Dershowitz had specifically said that criminal-like behavior was indeed impeachable.

Dershowitz also said that former Trump associate Roger Stone deserved a new trial, given new revelations about the extreme political bias of the jury foreperson, who opposed both Trump and Stone. -Breitbart

The Left Wing Media is Leading a War on Conservatives & Hope To Destroy You

By Jose Nino – 2/18/2020

At the New Republic, staff write Osita Nwanevu called for the destruction of the GOP.

Nwanevu cited the cases of President Donald Trump and Roy Moore as why the GOP should go the way the of the Dodo.

The writer took issue with the Republican National Committee’s decision to continue supporting Moore amid allegations of child molestation. He also criticized the Trump administration for its caging of children at the border.

What bothers Nwanevu the most is how the Republican Party has backed Trump all of this time.

He even tried to link Trump to the previous failed administration George W. Bush.

Nwanevu attempted to draw the comparison below:

Trump’s own rhetoric of division and exclusion was preceded by the 2004 reelection campaign for George W. Bush, which took advantage of homophobia to boost turnout from social conservatives. Before thousands of Puerto Ricans devastated by Hurricane Maria were forced by the Trump administration’s shoddy recovery effort to ask themselves whether they were really Americans after all, thousands of African Americans failed by the Bush administration’s relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina posed the same question to themselves. Trump’s intimations that the federal executive is above the law may well have been bolstered by the Bush administration’s warrantless surveillance of the American people. Even Trump’s efforts to integrate his companies within the processes of the state were preceded by the Bush administration’s curious keenness for contracts with Halliburton, the company Vice President Dick Cheney ran before Bush took office.

The writer also criticized Trump for sowing divisions based on racial lines.

In Nwanevu’s view, “Donald Trump is not a departure from the values defining the Republican Party, but the culmination of its efforts to secure power in this country.”

He took it a step further by describing the Republican party as “a reliable opponent of equality and a malignant force in American life—a cancer within a patient in denial about the nature and severity of her condition” that must ultimately be “destroyed—vanquished from the American political scene with a finality that can only be assured not by electoral politics or structural reforms alone, but by a moral crusade.”

The staff writer gushed about demographics, largely propelled by post-1965 Immigration Act policies, as a main driver of the inevitable political change in America.

The Left is no longer hiding their intentions when it comes to mass migration.

They understood full well its political implications, which is why they constantly brag about the GOP’s upcoming demise.

The GOP should take these threats seriously, and work day and night to re-elect President Trump and take back the U.S. House.

Trump should take the gloves off in his second term and carry out substantial immigration restrictions such as ending birthright citizenship and chain migration, fully funding the border wall, restricting pathways to citizenship, and completely defunding sanctuary cities to deny Democrats the permanent electoral majority they so desire.

The time for talk is over.

DEEP STATE REVOLT: Federal Judges to Hold Emergency Meeting Over Barr and Trump

See the source image

Just weeks after President Donald Trump was acquitted by the Senate of bogus partisan impeachment charges by the House of Representatives, a group of federal judges will hold an ’emergency meeting’ on Tuesday.

The judges will meet to discuss the intervention by Attorney General William Barr against the abusive proposed sentence for Roger Stone and the criticism by President Trump of the proposed sentence and the federal judge overseeing the case, Judge Amy Berman Jackson, as well as other actions by Barr and Trump regarding ‘politically sensitive’ cases before the judiciary.

The emergency meeting will be held via conference call with officers and members of the executive committee of the 1,100 member Federal Judges Association because, association president Judge Cynthia Rufe (a Bush 43 appointee) said, “We just could not wait until April to discuss matters of this importance.” The judges’ annual meeting is set for April 18-19 in Denver.

CAP

The meeting comes on the heels of a letter signed by over 1,000 former Justice Department Deep State operatives calling on Barr to resign for overruling the punitive sentence of 7-9 years in prison proposed by federal prosecutors for Stone. The four prosecutors in the case resigned in protest over Barr’s intervention.

Judge Jackson will preside over a phone hearing in the Stone case on Tuesday. Stone has asked for a new trial after it was reported last week the foreman of the jury that convicted him is a virulent anti-Trump Democrat who posted about Stone’s case.

USA Today reported on the emergency meeting:

A national association of federal judges has called an emergency meeting Tuesday to address growing concerns about the intervention of Justice Department officials and President Donald Trump in politically sensitive cases, the group’s president said Monday.

Philadelphia U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe, who heads the independent Federal Judges Association, said the group “could not wait” until its spring conference to weigh in on a deepening crisis that has enveloped the Justice Department and Attorney General William Barr.

“There are plenty of issues that we are concerned about,” Rufe told USA TODAY. “We’ll talk all of this through.”

…Rufe said the judges’ association is “not inclined to get involved with an ongoing case,” but she voiced strong support for Jackson.

“I am not concerned with how a particular judge will rule,” Rufe said, praising Jackson’s reputation. “We are supportive of any federal judge who does what is required.”

Rufe said the group has not decided how it will report the result of its meeting, if at all. “We just could not …wait until April to discuss matters of this importance,” she said.

After Trump took Jackson to task on Twitter last week, another jurist – District of Columbia Chief U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell – appeared to rally to Jackson’s side.

“The Judges of this Court base their sentencing decisions on careful consideration of the actual record in the case before them; the applicable sentencing guidelines and statutory factors; the submissions of the parties, the Probation Office and victims; and their own judgment and experience,” Howell said in a written statement. “Public criticism or pressure is not a factor.”

The Federal Judges Association describes itself:

The Federal Judges Association (FJA) is a national voluntary organization of United States federal judges, appointed pursuant to Article III of the Constitution, whose mission is to support and enhance the role of its members within a fair, impartial and independent judiciary; to actively build a community of interest among its members; and to sustain our system of justice through civics education and public outreach.

The independence of Article III judges is assured under the Constitution by their appointment for life without diminution in pay. Nominated by the President of the United States and confirmed by the United States Senate, Article III judges are thus protected from intimidation, undue influence, coercion, or domination so that they may judge fairly and independently in every case, as the law and facts require.

Inevitably, from time to time, some judicial decisions are unpopular. The FJA, as an independent organization, can speak in one voice to protect the independence of the judiciary and to explain its significance to a free society. The Association expresses the collective view of Article III judges to other branches of government and the public on issues related to fair and impartial courts.
